Here's a short clip of my rig in progress: https://youtu.be/TgW85GmFzK4The sound levels/noise are IMHO extremely low! I'm blown away actually. Setup: Asus Z270P 4GB RAM Intel G4400 6x MSI RX 580 8GB Gaming X Corsair 1200 AXi Powerdraw at the wall with stock coreclock and mem at 2050, with stock memory strap ~1120W. Getting 24mh/s at the moment, need to do some tweaking! Some tweaking? you need to drop power consume and increase rate with 480 i do 31mhs for 115 watt each gpu at wall you are over +170 watt at wall for 24mhs Well the point was to show sound level of the GPU's, and stock numbers! ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) I'm at 29.6 mh/s now with 1:1750 memory timings @ 1:2000, and clocks at 1140/2200. What are your settings?

Thanks for this amazing OS, its simply awesome! I have a few questions: I've just built 2 rigs with MSI RX 580 cards, and I just finished modding the cards with 1:1750 memory timings. My stock ETH hashrate was 24 mh/s without the mod. After modding I reached 27.4 mh/s with stock clocks and 29-30 mh/s with clocks at 1140/2200, in Claymore 9.1 on Win10. After switching back to smOS (modding done in windows), I tried to put the same clocks. But it sets the core clock at 1179, even tho I've entered 1140. Screen: https://i.imgur.com/RsHx4L6.pngMy hashrate is also back to 27.4 mh/s in smOS, it seems like the overclock settings I'm trying to figure isnt applied? Am I doing something wrong? ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) Thanks again ;*

This video is tutorial for sapphire I followed this tutorial for my MSI RX 580 with samsung memory, works! And probably works for all RX 580 with Samsung memory!

I'm getting 24mh/s on my MSI RX 580 Gaming X cards, any pro tips? ^^ Running smOS with stock clocks and bios.
With a simple bios edit, you can achieve 28+ no problem. That means 1100 mhz core, 1950 mhz mem, and 1500 strap copy. Edit 1- sorry, above was for 570. For 580, you can get 30+ no problem with 2150 mem and 1750 strap copy. Could you explain the "strap copy" stuff? I guess you are changing memory timings or something like that? ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) Would really appreciate it! It's kinda funny that my R9 390's are getting 29 mh/s stock! ^^ your R9 i don't think use 115 watt at wall for 30 mhs like 480 ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) , about strap copy you need to use polaris editor and copy memory strap from 1750 to 2000 and upload new setting into your gpu bios. True! Thanks for reply, I'll give it a go after I've built this last rig! I can't focus properly when GPUs are offline! ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) Is there any way to recover if I fuck up when I try copying those straps? My cards do not have dual bios afaik (MSI RX 580 8GB Gaming X).

HI, I think there is a driver issue in the newest driver 17.4.3. I cannot get the system to boot with 6 RX580s. I can mine with 4 just fine. I can boot with 5 but the fifth graphics card is not recognized correctly. I am using a Biostar tB250-BTC. On other forums (am I allowed to link here?) the same issue has been reported on different hardware.
Does anyone have a rig working with 6 RX5x0s? Or does anyone have an idea what I could try (I will probably try Ubuntu, if nothing else works).
might try these steps - https://www.techpowerup.com/228536/amd-bios-signature-check-re-enabled-with-relive-locks-out-polaris-bios-moddersAlso make sure Bios PCIE is set to Gen1 You sure about this? When at auto/gen2 win10 detects 5/6 cards with working drivers. If I change it to gen1, 3 og the 5 working cards will have driver issues! Do I need to reinstall windows after changing these settings in bios?

Im currently struggling with similar issues!
Trying to setup a 6 GPU rig with Asus Z270-P and 6x MSI RX 580 on Windows 10.
Before installation of the AMD driver, windows detected all 6 GPUs. I needed to enable "above 4g encoding" for this. After installing the drivers, I can only detect 5 cards. Everything is stock, no modded bioses!
I'm running out of ideas, gonna try the simplemining OS, if I can get it to boot on the USB.. Couldn't get it to work last night..

Don't worry, be happy!
Im confident Bitmain will ship my may order on time! 😄

Hi,
Could anyone tell me what OS/software you guys use on your GPU rigs? I havent been in the GPU mining scene for a while, so any recommendations would be appreciated!
My current eth rig is running stock Win 8.1 with teamviewer for remote management. Using claymore miner software, ETH only, with Sapphire R9 390 Tri-X, which gives me around 28 mh/s avg.
I'm building new rigs today, and want to know if Win 8.1 is still the shizzle? Or is Win10 working ok? I'm building with Asus Z270-P and RX 580 GPU's.
Thanks!

Just ordered 6 more Sapphire RX 580 Limited Edition.. god damn this hobby is addictive!
Anyone tried these yet?

I've got a build with the ASUS Prime Z270-P coming up, will test with 6 cards! Might try with 7 if I can get a m.2 to PCIe adapter

I get my MSI RX 580 cards tomorrow, will post stock power consumption! Hopefully someone smarter than me can figure out a modded bios I can use! ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif)

Should be able to down clock/volt to 480 levels and get lower power consumption and the same hashrate + less noise then?
Or is my logic flawed?
The bigger one is the 580, right?
power consume you can see on video: 570 default 113w 22, mod 27mhs 135wat 580 defatul 135w 24, mod 29mhs 153wat then winner 570 ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) 580 require also 8+6 pin connector The MSI 580 gaming x req only 8 pins!
I've ordered 12x MSI RX 580 Gaming X. Hopefully they will do a decent job!
Could you please check power consumption on this card? The same or lower than 470?
Ive been waiting for months for these cards, but i can grab 480 pretty cheap atm! So im considering buying those instead if the power consumption is the same!
Ty <3
I checked on google it is same cpu of 470 but with more overclocked then it will drain more power, consider also nitro+ 470 have 8 pin power connector new 570 nitro+ have 8+6 pin connector (if require less power why need additional 6 pin ?) I was under the impression that the rebranded polaris GPU was suppose to be more efficient!
