Congrats on the block guys! Can't say I'm not jealous Here's to hoping we hit on my pool, and that you guys get a bit of good luck here, too, and hit another! Thanks Johnny, us small pools could certainly use some luck lately. On a side note, miners please feel free to leave Laviathon some trust for receiving pool payouts, it helps further establish our credibility within the bitcointalk network. Thanks in advance!

*****Update, our server location underwent severe storms and the power is down. We are doing everything we can to get bc monster up and running but the power company is telling us tomorrow night as an example right now. Resort to your fail over pools until we update you all here. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Hey everyone, just figured I would post here as I have been tending to other projects for the past couple of weeks and havent been as readily available as I usually am. Between the family, family events, home and car projects I have been swamped and have only been doing nightly checks of our stratum/pool. Nice to see our base hash rate has doubled. We still have the bitcoin blockfinders promo going for anyone whom finds a block and is donating a minimum 1%. If you have any questions whatsoever, since I have not been manning the chat as frequently, you can just email the bcmonster@bcmonster.com email and I will get back to you. Now lets finish off this round!

No I didn't.
I'll look at it when I get home tonight.
Can you help me understand how a small pool like BCMonster is able to compete? It just feels like a David v. Golliath when it comes to the Bigger pools.
Smaller pools tend to have less fees, and greater payouts, just less frequent. It is all preference. Some miners are willing to sacrifice 1-5% of their earnings to get regular payouts, some are not. In an ideal world the more pools spread throughout the world the better because you are decentralizing the network.

Hi, I'm a new user here seems a good pool and I see that is growing. I hope my THs make a good contribution.
One question, this is the correct configuration?
URL: stratum+tcp://stratum.bcmonster.com:3333 USER: My worker PSW: I put 123
User is username.workername Hope that helps

I tried renting a rig but couldn't get over 100TH, they said because the pool was reporting a diff of 1024 and it needs to have a starting difficulty of 65535,
It starts at 1024 when you initially connect but then it goes up according to speed. Ill see if we can open up a higher diff port.
|
|
|
Hello, Is there any way to set a min diff for a worker? I would like to rent some hash power but need to set diff to 65535
Its vardiff so it adjusts according to speed of the rental. Normal port should have no problem with that.

The site is not down..... As for payouts, they auto payout when we find a block and you input a minimum threshold. It will not payout if you do not input any value there.

Good Morning Pool Members, Laviathon and I have been waiting for the right time to implement this promo, and now we feel this is a good time as any to help further increase our base hash rate by implementing a more long term promotion for our pool. Any blockfinder that has set their donation amount to a minimum of 1.0% now qualifies for a 1BTC blockfinding bonus. What this means is, if you go into the my account tab, select edit account, and set your donation amount to a minimum of 1.0, then you automatically qualify for the bonus. If you happen to find a block, you will have 1BTC coming your way. If you find the block, then change the amount, it does not qualify, you need to have this donation percentage set, prior to finding the block. This is effective immediately.

Well, i'm getting started in all this. Have an S4 on slush pool and realizing its just not the place for me. The bells and whistles are great i feel like i'm just a cog in his machine. I like the atmosphere i've been seeing on the thread. It seems more like a team.
I'll be adding a S7 sometime at the end of the week and can't wait to see what it can do.
:-)
Welcome aboard and glad to have you!

I sent the video to dthoag on how to jump power supplies via email several hours ago. If you have any other questions just jump in the mirc chat. Make sure to stick around for a bit after answering the questions. A lot of us dont see the messages til its too late and you already sign off. It has happened at least 20 times this week.

Just started mining a few days ago loving the layout of the site very easy to read and understand, currently running a gekkoscience usb stick doing a measly 16gh/s overclocked but gotta start somewhere, hoping to have an s7 here next week to really get things moving.
Welcome aboard. Glad to have you!

Congrats to natebuilds23, whom just received his 1BTC bonus for being the first natural blockfinder on BCMonster. We decided to implement this after the fact, since our house account was responsible for the block find.

Why post this in the bitcoin mining pool section?

BCTeamRental members, it has been a long time coming, but we finally turned a profit from our team rental.
The breakdown is as follows:
Myself 1.044 invested = 1.3435146802 BTC Mario .2 = .2573782912 BTC Cabal .04 = .0514756582 BTC Mike .3 = .3860674368 BTC
I am sending all payments to your btc addresses you use for our site. Please leave me some trust once you see the transaction received!
