mr Claymore you clever conman Huh

test setup 3xr9 380h operated under standards miner. Had 62 Mhs stable. After switching on your miner received 50 Mhs.
Explain what is the problem?

@Claymore in my command line i use ethermine with eth-proxy:
Code:
EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool eu1.ethermine.org:4444 -ewal 0x8d5ad572f59fbc5bb********266d3083ea9290.RigName -epsw x -esm 0 -mode 1 -wd 1 -r 1 -dbg -1  -etha 1

Because there is no way to check if my failover is set properly does it suppose to look like that:

Code:
POOL: us1.ethermine.org:4444, WALLET: 0x8d5ad572f59fbc5bb********266d3083ea9290, PSW: x, WORKER:RigName , ESM: 0, ALLPOOLS: 0
POOL: eth-eu.dwarfpool.com:8008, WALLET: 0x8d5ad572f59fbc5bb********266d3083ea9290, PSW: x, WORKER:RigName , ESM: 0, ALLPOOLS: 0

or should i put the name of the worker after the wallet separated wit dot?

If I have rigs on multiple places, can I combine them in the same html?
204  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum+Decred GPU Miner v3.0 on: April 20, 2016, 02:33:49 PM
@Claymore, since the v3.0 I got 3 hangs on my rigs. Some of the gpu crashes, then the miner is trying to restart itself but it stops on the text logo where it says"Claymore dual.... v3.0" Can you make an option if gpu crashes to reboot the whole windows? That way It wont take an hour for the pool to notifies me. Right now i got a better hashrate with your miner but its pointless because i lost 3-4 working hours on some rigs. Got lucky it didnt happen at night...
205  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum+Decred GPU Miner v3.0 on: April 20, 2016, 09:34:36 AM
@Claymore, because of the new check of invalid shares which checks before submition, is there any way to check how many invalids i have? Isnt it better to be send to pool to check are they valid or not and not loosing computing power locally...
206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum+Decred GPU Miner v2.0 on: April 18, 2016, 12:00:54 PM
@Claymore, did you manage to take a look in the -cclock and -mclock flags, why they dont work? At least not on 7950 and R9 380..?

Thanks!

In current version -cclock and -mclock don't work if you did not specify "-tt" parameter. I've fixed it already, will be applied in next update. However, AMD disabled underclocking for some reason, so you can overclock only. I remember it worked in Catalyst v13.x but AMD added this stupid limitation in v14.x drivers. Right now I cannot underclock cards even via Crimson control panel, only overclock, you can check it too.

Thanks, how does -tt works when it reach the set temp? Does it throttle or increasing the fans?

Hello Claymore. i Have one rig with 2x380 and 1x290x
the 2 380 gives me different speed. why?
gpu0 380(20mh)
gpu1 380(18.9mh)
gpu2 290x (28.5mh)
the 2 cards are totally identical.
no matter that i am running on ether mode only or dual mining, with every version of your miner tried.

Minimize the miner and leave the desktop for a few minutes in idle, if you are using TeamViewer disconnect for a few minutes. Then check it again, they will be equal. Its not from his miner but because the others dont show separate hash for every card you dont notice it. One of the cards is being used to show the desktop.

ETH: GPU0 19.954 Mh/s, GPU1 18.990 Mh/s, GPU2 28.451 Mh/s

always get this. not matter the team viewer or anything.... i can send the log.

Are you sure they are exact make and model, same clock? Maybe the faster is samsung memory and the slower is elpida?

@Claymore, Is it suppose to be better on R9 380 (tonga) cards?

48 hours of testing on equal rigs and the original miner and yours are making pretty much the same result.

Right not after 10 hours of the new version vs original qtminer:

Ballance: 0.4717089107482806 vs 0.4826856692655387

miners changed lead several time but the biggest lead was around 0.01 Ether

-cclock and -mclock are not working for me too.
211  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum+Decred GPU Miner v1.2 on: April 16, 2016, 10:07:03 PM
It's not all about hash, more important are shares submitted.

Because miners, calculators, and pools all seem to have slightly different ideas about the hashrates rigs actually generate, the truest measure of gpu mining ability is how much ethereum is paid over time. In my rigs, running the Claymore instead of Ethminer, I get more pay.

But effective hash rate depends to some degree on luck, right? What pool are using now?

I'm at ethermine.org . Luck does make variance though the more time involved the less luck impacts anything. I ran for 24 hours. Since the miner hasnt yet existed for a week its difficult to give longer trials. Revisiting my first rig report found that over 2-days it was then gaining very slightly less than using just the first days data, but close enough to be giving a pretty accurate picture of whether this miner was giving more ethereum than ethminer.

Check my post right before yours. Both miners are generating pretty much the same amount of money. You cant make good comparison if you run the miners one after another. They should be on equals rigs, same time, same pool as I did.

I agree your way is a greater scientific methodology, but I disagree that good comparisons can't be made any other ways. Given that the previous value of daily hashrate is well known and time proven, making just the one change of switching mining software does create a valid comparison between the two. While the new higher hashrate }could{ be a fluke result, todays addition 24 more hours of data, along with multiple others reporting similar results, suggest it is not a fluke at all.

Perhaps you are using cards that Claymore doesnt give a benefit to? We dont know because nobody has compared the new improvement results across all gpu versions, other than we know 270s dont function well with it yet.

I'm using r9 380, dont know if they are optimized. I updated the miner and now the links i gave are original qtminer vs Claymore eth-proxy method.
212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum+Decred GPU Miner v1.2 on: April 16, 2016, 07:47:25 PM
It's not all about hash, more important are shares submitted.

True, but in this case they are the same. I was citing fully realized 24 hour effective hashrate, which is derived entirely from ... shares submitted.   Most important of all is that the pool I am in is paying at the new rate- instead of mid 1.8'ish daily ethereum going into my account, finally it is the full 2-something eth that napkin math and eth calculators always said I should be getting.

Because miners, calculators, and pools all seem to have slightly different ideas about the hashrates rigs actually generate, the truest measure of gpu mining ability is how much ethereum is paid over time. In my rigs, running the Claymore instead of Ethminer, I get more pay.

Check my post right before yours. Both miners are generating pretty much the same amount of money. They changed lead several times and right now the original qtminer got the lead with 0.015 ethers. Its almost 24 hours now. You cant make good comparison if you run the miners one after another. They should be on equals rigs, same time, same pool as I did. Once Claymore release the 1.3 version i will try the eth-proxy mode.
213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum+Decred GPU Miner v1.2 on: April 16, 2016, 06:10:51 PM
I put the original qtminer and claymores miner in qtminer mode on separate wallets in the very same time and on the same rigs 20 hours ago.

Original qtminer: http://ethermine.org/miners/0xb6ff214f13443b55b404d31a646c09cb568218e0

claymores miner in qtminer mode : http://ethermine.org/miners/0xf9883c988a05c8b2a4d8a54966ba45dd566617b2

Cant imagine more equal performance. The changed the lead several times but neither got ahead with more than 0.02 Ethers

Equal temperatures too. Both stable, the original got 1-2% invalids, the Claymores got 1% fee so I guess it doesnt matter which one to use in only ethereum mining.

I will put the claymores in eth-proxy mode once the next version is released and test again.

I got about your results but Claymore said to me on the last page that i have to compare the pool results not the console reading. Right now I started two identical rigs in the very same time one with qtminer and one with claymore's miner  on qtminer mode.

The bottom one is the clyamore's

I need at least 24 hours to make any conclusion but it looks promising now.

Can you keep us posted on your 24H results?

Ok, about 5 hours now:

My experience:
1x Power Color R9 280X @ 950/1250
2x Sapphire R9 279 @ 920/1400

Genoil v1.0.3 - 47MH/s stable hash. Dwarfpool via Proxy.
Claymore v1.2 (ETH+DCR on 280x, 2x270 ETH only, DCR intensity 14) - 45.2MH/s ETH, 137MH/s DCR. Dwarfpool Stratum and Suprnova DCR pools.

137MH/s on DCR according to calc brings about 0.14 DCR/day or 0.2USD.

My conclusion is not seeing a point of using Claymore miner in this setup, considering lost hash on ETH and dev fee (which I have absolutely nothing against).

i have 4x r7 370 and 1x 7850

how i can mine dual mode for 4x 370 and only dcr for 7850 ?

"-mode" option now can be set for every card individually.

Ex: -mode 0,0,0,0,1

No! Read OP:

-mode   Select mining mode:
"-mode 0" (default) means Ethereum+Decred mining mode.
"-mode 1" means Ethereum-only mining mode. You can set this mode for every card individually, for example, "-mode 1-02" will set mode "1" for first and third GPUs (#0 and #2).

So if I understand correctly... I have 3 cards in my rig:
GPU 0: 280X
GPU 1: 270
GPU 2: 270

If I want to mine ETH+DCR only with GPU 0 and ETH with all 3 cards my bat should be:

-mode 1-12 -mode 0-0

Correct?

Thanks!

More like
-mode 0,1,1

meaning: -mode 0(Eth+Dcr on GPU 0),1(Eth on GPU1),1(Eth on GPU2)
217  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum+Decred GPU Miner v1.2 on: April 14, 2016, 08:16:32 PM
But at http://ethermine.org/ "-esm 1" do not seems to work, miner have been running around 1 houre now and nothing reported in as "Reported Hashrate".

Thats completely normal neither original qtmienr or clymore' qtminer mode reporting hashrate. Reporting hashrate is only active with etth-proxy
218  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum+Decred GPU Miner v1.2 on: April 14, 2016, 04:19:56 PM
@Claymore I got a few more questions.

1. Do I need to compare the console hashrate for these 3-5% ro they will affect  in the pool? Because in the console I'm getting 0.8% increase which is less then your fee.
2. In qtminer mode for several hours I didt get any invalid shares which is odd. Is these because of the better miner or its because you check them locally and that way the miner is not sending invalid shares.
3. The cclock and mclock is is not working neither on 7950 or 380(rebranded 285 tonga), is there any way to be fixed? I'm using this command:
EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool eu1.ethermine.org:4444 -ewal wallet.name -epsw x -esm 1 -mode 1 -cclock 1050 -mclock 1500

I really like the other features of the miner and If these can be fixed I will be happy to move all my rigs there.
219  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum+Decred GPU Miner v1.2 on: April 14, 2016, 01:36:38 PM
@Claymore

4x380

original qtminer: 81.7
Claymore's miner qtminer mode: 82.5 (0.9% gain) - only ethereum mining
same speed for eth-proxy mode

-cclock nad -mclock not working
220  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum+Decred GPU Miner v1.2 on: April 14, 2016, 10:57:41 AM
@Claymore ,  is there support for global and local work?

global work is related to "-ethi" option. Local work cannot be changed.

Thanks, one more question. The cclock and mclock are not working on my 7950 mining only ether. Is that normal?
