201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Cash - Pro on-chain scaling - Cheaper fees - Hard Fork 15 May 2018 on: May 14, 2018, 05:20:39 PM
another fork? and what will change after the fork, which will be held on May 15? is there any news about this? the team will be the same?

probably a big drop . people have already "bought the news" ready to dump on the event
And why they do that, when they know what will happen?
There are so many useless forks created only for quick money.. I hate them all
yes, probably because they know that there will be a drastic decrease then they throw away and will buy back down if possible

you are in the wrong thread.

go away

I would like to make a request.
As we approach the May 15th fork, it would be nice if the mods would allow the news to be displayed on top of all the pages...like..

News: Latest stable version of Bitcoin ABC 0.17.1  [Torrent]. (New!)

Bitcoin core version is being called bitcoin(BTC).
I hope Bitcoin cash has justified its reason to you guys for calling itself Bitcoin(BCH) aswell.

Displaying two bitcoins with two different tickers seems like a good compromise for most (i think)
Bitcoins-
Bitcoin core (BTC)
Bitcoin cash (BCH)

Please consider this request as i think all Bitcointalk users deserve a fair chance to decide which version of Bitcoin they would like to use and learn about.
Thank you  Smiley

I know it is sad to admit and I am not happy to say it but the btc deprecated chain does not even deserve the name bitcoin there IMO @mods

OMG.  that is your proof?   WOW  so nothing then?  I guess that is what happens when an actual businessman with name recognition and a brand takes office?  His other business get a bump.  Such a shame all the other presidents were just public rent seeking parasites huh?  or else then the phenomena you complain of would now be commonplace..  lol

That is the DEFINITION of TOTAL VIOLATION of Emoluments Clause, duh!

Just a few examples.  I should have known better than to reply to you.  *ignored!*

You are free to act like my words hurt you in hopes to increase the effect of your words and opinions on the readers if you like but you are not correct in your interpretation of the emoluments Clause.  So sorry you fell for the talking points.  The president and a few others are specifically exempted from those requirements for good reason.  LOL

oh and in case you are wondering why we let all the presidents play golf, it is because being a leader is normally stressful on a caring type person.  There are lots of stresses.  ever notice how they all age so badly?  That is from stress.  The golf is to help them with that.  We prefer that to a total breakdown, no?

In the case of Trump he is playing golf and having meetings at same time.  Since that is where lots of things get decided anyway Wink

I was hoping you had something juicy and not normal type stories that require me to hate the man first to even make any sense...

Pinky winky  Cry

2 years after it actually exactly went like i said  Cry

But he is still much better than Hillary. I am not satisfied with the performance of Trump. But the American voters had very few options. Imagine what Hillary could have done if she was elected as the POTUS. By now we may be having major conflicts against Iran and DPRK (and probably against Russia as well). The election of Trump delayed the 3rd world war.

Ah, the beauty of the "two-party system!"

Trump is simply doing different kinds of damage to make himself richer.  #ClintonCash is definitely slowing down.  Watch Clinton Cash free movie on YouTube.

nice empty comment.  any chance you can support your empty claim with some substance, support, link, reference, anything??  thxs
p.s. asking for friend

p.p.s.  like what is trump doing to make money.  Are you saying he took a bribe from Rosthchild?  previous bribes that he is now "earning"  pls what are you talking about?

Either Mow is a mere empty suit, or BCH is clearly superior in its scaling approach by every measure. Likely both.

samson mow has always been a troll and a lightweight. i don't really know how he wound up being listened to by anyone.

i'm still waiting to be convinced by lightning networks. the more details come out, the more unwieldy and unworldly it looks to me. but then so do giant blocks too.

The supreme court ruled that talking to someone in a confined space for over 15 minutes is enough to influence them in a coercive manner.  This is why scientology lost their tax free status LOL.  In other words people are easy to hack.  Mow probably had big money backers and some slick mind science training is my guess.

After watching him in that interview with Roger I got the feeling that he has some training at mind sciences and coercion.  In addition to all that even as he failed miserably on the content portion of his answers he tried desperately to preserve a cool calm and collected exterior.  He even signaled the moderator (successfully) at times to move on and cut off Roger.

Many people raised up in "command economies" wonder why the drive to innovate and produce is lost when production quotas become the only goal.  Similarly in such "command style" economies the main way to reform these 'free thinking types' is to socialize them back into "correct thinking".  I did notice some of that from Mow.  Oh well,  Roger saw it too and ran with it in the interview.  It was a joy to see him realize this in real time and pounce on it!  Thank you for all your hard work and dedication Roger Ver et al.  It is an honor to serve along side you!

Haha. I finally watched this.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=1&v=zSbPz4g9rZQ

Think what you will about Roger Ver. But he objectively wipes the floor with Blockstream 'Chief Strategery Officer' Samson Mow in this moderated one-on-one debate on Bitcoin scaling.

Yes, this debate is the source of the widely derided 'babies are dying' quote. Which is indeed kind of cringey. But he's been consistent for nearly a decade in getting publicly weepy-emotional over the pain that bad fiscal governance causes the most vulnerable. Can't fault him for that passion. What's more: objectively, it is an arguable point.

But that aside, it is quite breathtaking how one-sided this debate was. Either Mow is a mere empty suit, or BCH is clearly superior in its scaling approach by every measure. Likely both.

Well he makes a solid point but I think the problem is that many are not aware of the actual data.  The simple fact is that for a private credit to expand and contract there must always be a winner and looser somewhere else.  This has caused about 20% of the population on earth to be in a slow death at all times.  This would not be happening if we had a sound monetary system not based on theft and slight of hand.

even the usa people who could stop this offensive systems are barely able to keep ahead of auto repairs, etc.  Our own gov slams us with nano infections forcing ill health on the free people to game us into the grave so that the "dream" can be resold to the next immigrant/ victim.  It is a patently sick system once you see the incentive soft money provides.

FDR (the american president) publicly asked the people to deposit their money in exchange for unredeemed private credit for national progress.  He was giving us a bad deal.  unironically he named it the new deal.  basically it causes endorsements to be a "request" for private credit.  so thanks to lack of full disclosure (fraud) we are agreeing each week to not redeem our private credit for money and we do not even know we requested it.  This cycle of debt backed credit then allows more of the credit to be pumped into the economy using the fractional reserve lending ratios.

the good news is there is a very simple way to stop this trend with your very next paycheck.  details coming soon.

Bcash has no intrinsc value or purpose whatsoever.

You know what's funny about your declaration? If you accept that Bitcoin Cash has no intrinsc [sic] value or purpose whatsoever, you need to also accept that Bitcoin Segwit has no intrinsic value or purpose whatsoever.

And we all know how ludicrous that assertion is.

Also worth mention is that the federal reserve note (which is 99% of the circulating units commonly called "usd") have zero intrinsic value.  This quote comes from the federal reserve itself BTW.

So at the end of the day, the end users are the ones who value one thing over another.

Roger Ver has always be a Bitcoin billionaire. People need to get over their jealousy. He bought thousands of BTC when they were pennies on the dollar. You know who else did that?  The Rothchilds. They bought the entire economy of the British Empire for pennies on the dollar after spreading rumors that the Napoleonic invasion had succeeded. As a result of the Rothchild takeover, everything you see and hear comes from a cabal that controls the media and politics in every country to this day. They are trillionaires. There is also no doubt that the spikes in crypto currency are a result of that same cabal, putting their investment into electronic money. Roger Ver is a small fish, but he is speaking truth to power. We can change the balance of power through crypto if we choose.

Roger Ver is fraud and greedy liar trying to steal the bitcoin brand in order to promote his shitcoin. His ultimate goal is to acquire more influence, power and money. Bcash has no intrinsc value or purpose whatsoever.

I feel sorry for you.  also *blocked*

is a roger ver a scammer? I heard of a lawsuit against him but I trust him and his team. what do you think?

I honestly feel Roger Ver feels Bitcoin Cash is the legitimate fork and more closely follows the original white paper. I don't think someone can be considered a scammer if they honestly believe what they are touting. After all, I do not think most Jehovah witnesses are "scammers.' They truly believe they are the legitimate Christian church and that the rest of the church went apostate when they declared that the Arian view was wrong.

Furthermore, I think the lawsuit is bullshit. I think people honestly feel "noobs" are dumber than they think. And who cares if they bought BCH thinking it was BTC. If they discover their error in time, they can convert their BCH to BTC on a multitude of exchanges and any losses that they incur would be minimal. Shoot, in the past couple of days, the "error" would have actually made them come out ahead. Only snag would be if they ended up sending BCH to a BTC address in error.
to

I personally don't trust any "Father/God/Head" of XXX coin. They are all selfish and they invest for their own profit. I don't think they will be so generous to consider our profit.
Sometimes, it is hard to call them "scammers" if they hurt our profit. They just select the way to save their own interests.

Crypto has always been about taking profits. It's almost exclusively run by bots on the exchanges. The long term vision of crypto currencies is for the investor to take what they can, but know when to get in and when it's time to sell for a profit. 1/2 a trillion dollars marketcap isn't going anywhere. At this point it's where to jump in and where to get out. There's so much cash available that you almost can't lose with crypto.

that long term vision you mention seems a little short sighted IMO.

It is interesting to observe quite recently the big growth and big activity in this coin. Can anyone tell what exactly is growth?  And generally interested in approximate target price for 1 coin for the next month?

I'm a dunce so anyone listening to me is taking advice from a self proclaimed noob.

On May 15th, BCH will once again increase the size of a block from the current 8MB to 32 MB. The current Bitcoin core team has limited the blocksize and overall functionality of the original BTC model and therefore is less efficient than the August 1 2017 hard fork that BCH represents.

The Crypto community sees the inefficiencies in the code that has been co-opted by a team of open sourced marauders, who claim Bitcoin as their own and have dubbed it Bitcoin Core.

BCH is as close to the original idea of Bitcoin as was originally intended and BTC has become something different entirely.

Nakamoto Satoshi (if that was ever his real name, he's probably some white guy from Germany) should step into the light and endorse all crypto as viable, but he remains in the shadows in his ivory tower laughing at us all, since he has long since cashed out all of his pre-mine into the fiat currency that his coin was about challenging in the 1st place.

Anyway you slice it, BCH has altruistic intentions. BTC is also a viable currency, since it was the 1st and branded the best, but I believe that if they don't change, they will be surpassed by other so called "altcoins"

My 1st sentence in this post is well served and the following is what I have gleaned from my time in crypto.
When i began reading this post, i thought, smart guy, he is not a dunce.....
then i got to this bit near the end...Anyway you slice it, BCH has altruistic intentions. BTC is also a viable currency, since it was the 1st and branded the best, but I believe that if they don't change, they will be surpassed by other so called "altcoins"
lol
then changed my mind and i agreed with your opening sentence  Cheesy
Welcome m8  Smiley
I told you twice I'm a noob Smiley Whether you call BCH an altcoin or not is irrelevant as we see what it's doing on the exchanges presently. There are twice  as many hashes going to BCH at present as there are to Bitcoin core and that's all I need to know.

white guy from Gernamy in ivory tower omg lol wth thanks for the lol!

wow
Mr B, well said....respect.  Wink Tongue

Where have you been?, (also classicsuks, hope he is all good)
not saw you for so long...last time i think was when i asked you to say we going over $6k,lol
you didnt, so we stopped at $5k lol...
Are you up for it now m8?
Is your body ready to go over $6k -1 BCH

I went on tinkering with other things in the cryptocurrency world. In November I bought a new desktop with a Nvidia 1070 GPU to mine some shitcoins. Unfortunately, Bitmain and other companies have been pumping out ASICS left and right. So, I suspect my little hobby mining project will be coming to an end shortly. However, I keep an eye out on what Craig Wright has been tweeting. I must admit, it seems that BCH may actually have some good developments coming on down the pipe.

good to have you back!
