Seems to me scam accusations are from some other coin bagholders who feel rise is their competitor. Too many accounts based around 'calling out' the Rise scam and seems like the same guy or couple of guys. If they were rise investors they would not do that. If they were not investors but just concerned bitcointalkers worried about their fellow bitcointalkers they would just say one thing and leave to do their own investing. But why the hardon? hmmm
I think those are investors who are very impatient to wait. But I agree that the developers or founders of this coin must be transparent with what they are doing with the investment and not just relying on the code itself. They should have show pictures or photos for example if they gathered seminars or something else. The owner should be initiating to talk or present their services to merchants, companies etc on how the coin will be used and incorporate in their system. Just my opinion though. |

Im sure not work, I have many referrals and my balance its the same all time I was getting referrals when the reward was 500 satoshis every 60 minutes, but now when I entered my email id in the "Enter your email address field" it says, please match the requested format: Email must not contain dots or special characters before @My email is something like this, my.email@gmail.com, but when I removed the dot and entered it like this, myemail@gmail.com , I was able to claim 700 satoshis, but the question is the second email I entered does not belongs to me so how will I receive payout and obviously the referral link would change. I do not know whether this is some kind of a new anti-bot trick, mind explaining it. To answer your question, yes your referral link will change to the email that does not have dots before the @ sign. The reason why we did not allow dots in the email is because we got an attack from a user using emails like this example( email@gmail.com, e.mail@gmail.com, e.m.ail@gmail.com, e.m.a.il@gmail.com) and so on. I only have one Xapo account so creating a new email id without dot and then opening a Xapo account with that is a tiring process, I have a tendency to forget passwords easily  . Good thing, this strategy stopped users who tried to abuse your faucet. So, it means that I have to create another Xapo account with gmail address and change all my referral links? That is the only solution we can do for now. I think we can create a thread here where we can post email addresses which are spam so that other faucet owners might be aware of. I have a list of emails that I just recently blocked. All faucet owners will have to cooperate so we can stop those bots and spammers.
it's useless because they need just a new email/address and they start scam again! I think a plausible solution is an OCR/captcha that avoid people to use bot, but ban some one is not a solution. As I have said this will minimize attacks and you have to set a mimimum withdraw so you have the time to review if an account is suspicious or not. If it's suspicious ban only the specific email address. The attacker will lose his time to create an email over and over again. He will not be able to cashout because you ban them before they reach the minimum threshold. |

I don't know how they abuse your faucet or attack your fundings all I'm saying is changing addresses or e-mails are so easy don't they? Example you are gonna block mail.ru but what if the attacker use gmail or hotmail? Are you gonna block these mail providers with "innocent users"?
Atleast you have minimized bot attacks. If you can see the attacker is using gmail.com then that's the time to block specific email address and not the whole email domain. So my suggestion is you have to implement email domain blocking and specific email blocking. And another thing is you have to set a minimum withdraw so that you have time to review accounts before they can even cashout. |

I have implemented to to add blocked domain and blocked email on the admin panel settings. Try to check it on my faucet http://viral-alert.com/xapo and use this email to claim xurundzi@gmail.com or use any email with these domain bigmir.net, bk.ru, mail.ru, meta.ua, ukr.net. They are blocked to get satoshis. Also you need to set a minimum withdraw so they cannot cashout immediately and you have time to ban them. this will save your faucet a lot. |
