For the league, I see PSV already as champions every other team have to battle for 2nd to 4th spot because PSV have been unbeaten in the league and have cemented their spot up there. They've fought so hard to get to the position they're currently and I'm pretty sure that they'll be in a better position in weeks to come.
I can say that AZ Alkmaar's performance has declined and they have performed poorly in the last few matches. Ajax has a chance to go to the European league next season but I think they will be below Twente. Twente's defeat in the match with NEC cannot be a sign that their performance has declined. NEC is a team in the top 10 and it is natural that they are in good form. At the moment Ajax are doing very well and Twente have only lost once in the last five games so I think the end of the season will belong to PSV and Feyenoord in second place. I wasn't surprised that Arsenal defeated Crystal Palace in the English Premier League earlier today because I already expected them to comfortably win the game but what was surprising in that win was the goal margin. Arsenal has struggled in their recent games and have ended up not winning any game of their last four league games.
The win I believe is gonna significantly improve the mentality of the club's footballers and provide them with the needed confidence to do more in their subsequent games. Arsenal might not be one of the first two favorite teams to win the English Premier League this season but I believe they're gonna fight for it till when it'll be mathematically impossible.
I also agree with what you said. I think everyone is also betting on Arsenal winning. But what was surprising was the goal margin that I didn't predict. Maybe I would have won more prizes if I had also guessed the score would end with a 3 goal margin. But I have seen so far that Arsenal is not a team that scores many goals to win matches. I mean they rarely create 3+ goal margins like that. This result will give them good confidence to face Liverpool after Nottm Forest. |

Sometimes I think Salah even serves as a distraction to other team because while most of the defender's will be focused on him trying to stop him from scoring goals, he will be using that opportunity to create chances for others to score and win the game while their opponent keeps focus on him and lose the game, well the current curiosity most people have now is born out of the fact that since this season Liverpool have not played this long without Salah so they would want to see how we they will be able to perform in his absence for a few months.

In a football match anything can happen. But if you look at other teams I think there is very little chance of them beating PSG to win the League. One team that was able to beat them was Lille in the 2020-2021 season and if you look at the statistics it's not like PSG performed badly and then lost points. The competition was very competitive until the end of the season and Lille won the League by only 1 point. This means that to beat PSG you need another team that is also able to perform consistently. NICE has shown good performance some time ago but currently they are inconsistent with winning then losing then winning and then losing again. |

What Nice and Monaco lack is consistency in play. I think it is normal that underdogs rule the league at the start of last season then their results decline as the season progresses. This can happen because the underdog team usually does not have enough squad depth to maintain consistency in play. Injuries and fatigue are what underdogs suffer from and when that time comes, they will struggle in the second half of the season. |

I think this is the result of years of hard work that has built up. Failure of De Rossi? He has just been signed for the manager position by Roma. Isn't it too early make such assumptions about him? I know that he came after a great manager like Mourinho. But it doesn't mean that De Rossi can't be more successful than Mourinho at the same time. Nobody can know about that. I would like to give a great example to this situation. After Villas-Boas period at Chelsea Di Matteo was brought to the position in the 2011/12 season. Who could have thought that he would win the Champions League title with Chelsea in his interim manager period there?  I don't say that De Rossi would do the same but I mean it is quite possible for him to do better than Mourinho at the same time. Let's just wait and see what the results will be. I agree with you that we should not underestimate De Rossi even though he has just replaced Mourinho. The club board may have several considerations as to why De Rossi was chosen to replace Mourinho. I can say it won't be the same as Di Matteo at Chelsea before but at least Roma can improve their performance. I think whatever the results of Roma's matches this season we cannot use this as an assessment of De Rossi's performance as a coach. We'll see that next season. It would be very good if De Rossi was able to provide a surprise in the remaining matches this season. |
