2001  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are you trading CAD on Cavirtex? (virtexCAD) Post your thoughts on current rate! on: October 22, 2013, 05:03:30 PM
when price goes up enough that CAVirtex can lower its fees to .5 we will see less of a spread, as canadians with more btc bring them back into cavirtex to day trade.

as it is Cavirtex only has enough depth to bring in small time btc traders, but it shows the strength in the canadian market when mom and pop btc buyers can average 500 btc trades a day

If i was them I would put in a clause that if you trade more than 200 btc a month you can reduce your fees to a competitive level...
judging by the amount a CAD on this forum there is a lot of room for volume growth in CAD Exchanges
2002  Economy / Speculation / Re: US media frenzy hasn't even begun yet on: October 22, 2013, 04:50:40 PM
I have money waiting for the next drop out, or for the next long term plateau....
although the chinese growth may make me regret me decision in the coming weeks.

from what I can see this rally is being pulled along by chinese speculation, and why shouldnt it.  If bitcoins are left to flourish in china it will fix a lot of the regulatory woes of a market that could conceivably pull bitcoins up to the 10000 dollar mark.

of course if the chinese decide its not in there interest.....

ill have my money waiting
2003  Economy / Speculation / Re: Call the top on: October 19, 2013, 05:50:14 AM
1000 CNY, 160 on bitstamp, 179 on mt gox
2004  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Official CaVirtex.com Thread on: October 17, 2013, 02:15:51 PM
Dont you think it is time to lower your fees again?
Or at least lower your volume to fee ratio
I know im a small fish I do about 400 btc trades per month but even as a share holder I cant use your service for anything besides transferring cnd to btc
Why not make 300btc the volume for .5%
Canada is not that small of a market and I would rather use cavirtex as a storage place for my btc to trade then bitstamp
But I cant because I would lose more money on the trading fees then the cost of an international wire
....

2005  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin might rise over 200 unexpectedly soon on: October 15, 2013, 02:35:41 PM

2009  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: October 13, 2013, 11:20:51 PM
if china sees BTC as a way to transfer currency with little gov't scrutiny Or control we will may see the moon Sooner then I thought
and it looks to me like it is the ask depth in CNY that is pulling the us exchanges up.. time to think like a bull

Justin / Amir - I believe the best thing you can do at this point is simply answer the questions, and keep in communications with everyone. While those related with Terrahash are clearly going through a very bad time right now, those who purchased from you are as well, and you owe those that believed in you and lost because of it an open line of communications.

It's been stated many times that communications and customer service was probably you main downfall. Do the following:

  • Provide Bargraphics or whoever else is seeking to contact you, your info, with the agreement that they will only communicate with you on legal proceedings
  • Provide everyone a timeline of communications that you agree to stick to in order to provide updates, so people aren't left hanging for your next message
  • Provide as much transparency into your expenses as possible - Noone here was really an investor, but everyone took on that role when you used our funds to fund your venture, and you owe people that you stated will only get 50% back, an answer to where the money was spent
  • Explain the Cloudhashing situation, so this doesn't muddy the waters with your promise of 50% refunds
  • Provide exact details and timeframes on your refund promise
  • Update your webpage to spell out that you are no longer in business, and possibly use that to communicate out to customers if you would prefer not to do it here
Thats right, provide a date when refunds will commence......even if small ones, to start. And stick to it!

+1 glad i took you off my ignore list
that was a great list
2015  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: September 25, 2013, 03:00:04 PM
I have just sent a PM to everyone that would like to be involved with the Lawsuit,

If you would like to be involved but did not receive a PM please PM me ASAP as information is being requested.

@Terrahash, you still have a chance to do right by your customers by communicating and or refunding those that want out. It's up to you.

sent you a PM

2018  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: September 20, 2013, 07:41:02 PM
truth is, although Im worried about my investment, Im worried about the founders of TH as well.  you can all be as cold about money as you want, but there is probably equal chance that this lack of communication could have been caused by personal tragedy
2019  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: September 20, 2013, 07:38:48 PM
any way to do this if you live outside US..
I will probably just go talk to a few lawyer friends later this week, to see how this works between canada and the US
2020  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: September 20, 2013, 05:56:36 PM
If there is no response from TH to my refund ticket by the end of the week I am in I have $9600 on order
