2001  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Why faucets are NOT worth your time on: December 07, 2015, 12:16:19 PM
If we can earn money from faucets higher than the minimum wage in my country, there will be lots of people earning from fauctes. Then there will not no high paying faucets out there.

this is discussed on reddit too. if you can use a computer with internet, you're way beyond minimum wage and probably don't need 5cents per hour anyways
2002  Economy / Micro Earnings / Why faucets are NOT worth your time on: December 07, 2015, 12:02:01 PM
user /u/cuckolddesu on reddit did a very great analysis of "3 hours of doing bitcoin faucets"

Quote
Total amount of faucets done:128
Total amount of faucets I actually managed to get working:103
Total amount of withdraw:1KZnGwTnUodUtm5N2yjcQVac9ppgD7TNEG 0.00037884 BTC
AVG per faucet:350 satoshi
Time started:21:22 gmt +2 time finished 0:22 gmt +2
BTC TO USD EARNED:$.15 This translates to 0.05$/hour
This means if I'd do it as a full time job I'd earn 40 cents a day and about 8.4$ a month
The minimal wage wage in Uganda is 0,01125 USD/hrs. (The lowest minimal wage country)
That means we are making 5 times the minimal wage of Uganda.
In general it do not seem like a worthy choice for a new bitcoin user to try to earn money with faucet,if you live in an extremely undeveloped country you might be able to make 0,5$ an hour but thats about it.
I also do not recommend it to anyone as I started losing my sanity in the end, first off 99% of the sites force you to turn off adblock,
about 50% of the sites have some sort of trick and the rest 50% only ask for a captcha code.
Most sites are trying to bait you into clicking on the ads.
you can see all sites I've used on my faucetbox account

If you'd like to know about any other info let me know

https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/3vpuqu/3_hour_of_doing_bitcoin_faucet_analysis/

this is the single best thread to argue against faucet evangelists.

If you're looking for a start, check out this forums' signature campaigns where you get paid for posting - that way you don't burn out using trillions of horrible faucets and you earn much more.

blockchain.info is pretty insecure...

if you're looking for a easy wallet check out blocktrail (web&app) or mycelium (mobile). just make sure to backup your passwords.

2005  Economy / Digital goods / Re: BitcoinCasino.xyz Domain for sale on: December 07, 2015, 08:45:42 AM
yep, google's move to .xyz increased its worth. Good luck with the sale though, there's not much money for optional investments like this in the cryptoverse in my opinion.
2006  Economy / Services / Re: DOX for SUCHMOON & PAUL REVERE - REWARD UP TO 10 btc on: December 07, 2015, 07:49:34 AM
I'm missing one thing, OP. where did you store 10BTC in escrow? who's the manager?
2007  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Did you earn some bitcoin today? on: December 07, 2015, 07:46:42 AM

2008  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: CoinURL -> Bitcoin Core not received on: December 06, 2015, 09:08:56 PM
Well, remember when I said I made a support ticket? They bannded me a day later.

Here: http://imgur.com/a/CWpKj
That is quite unfortunate. You should try their support again, but I highly doubt that anything will come of it.

They aren't gonna do anything.. They know exactly why the banned me, even though I don't.

meh, that's coinurl... it was good before the previous owner sold it
2009  Economy / Services / Re: YoBit.Net - Signature Campaign - Realtime Payouts (daily) on: December 06, 2015, 05:32:36 PM
"Send to my BTC balance" does not work (again) sigh...

This problem happened a lot with Yobit campaign, and many users left this campaign because of this old problem not resolved till now. I think you have to contact their support may be they can resolve it soon

they fixed it already. works again... I think I'll withdraw to balance everyday from now on...

the whole banx portfolio is not profitable, which was proven in last months non-dividends. good luck if you're a bag holder, you'll need it
2012  Economy / Services / Re: NuDroid Mobile Wallet - Paying with Bitcoin without being exposed to volatility on: December 06, 2015, 01:02:16 PM
how is nudroid connected to nubits chain? I'm asking because mobile data volume is very expensive where I live... does it store a blockchain?

edit: nvm question answered on page 2

Payment will be made by Wanxinxi , within a few hours.

Just received news from him because he was travelling during the past two weeks...

why doesn't he just shut down the signature campaign then? it's very obvious he does not care...

Yeah....he said that this will be the last week for his campaign

finally a word. I hope everyone gets paid...

2017  Other / Archival / Re: SearchTrade Reinventing Search Engine | 449 BTC Raised in Pre-sale on: December 05, 2015, 10:47:57 PM
Rome wasnt built in one day... So relax :-)

...they always said approxmatly

Yeah...maybe...or maybe not.

Who's to say they won't postpone it another year after this month extension is up?

Then another decade after that year is over...then a century...millennium...

The fact of the matter is that there are people who've invested money in keywords that they were under the impression would have a chance to start generating some type of return by X date.  Approximate or not, they've missed the mark by at least 1 month and who knows if this thing's ever going to launch.

In the meantime, Joe and Sally Schmoe, who've both purchased 5 keywords for $500+ (USD), are growing a bit angrier and angrier the longer they have to wait for some kind of sign that a ROI is even possible.  They may begin to wonder whether they were duped by a scammer, if not after the first postponement, then certainly by the second or third.

And they certainly aren't going to go around to their family members and go screaming from mountain tops about how wonderful and lovely Searchtrade and its keyword trading system is when a year after purchasing their keywords, facing renewal fees for said keywords, the site still hasn't officially launched.

Do you get my drift?

Maybe I'm just being too pessimistic.  Maybe I've grown a bit too cynical over the years, after being victim a few too many times to the ugly side of the human psyche (anger, greed, envy, lust, etc.).  Perhaps.

Or perhaps someone, somewhere, is pulling off a half-assed con, utilizing the easiest payment system to scam a worldwide market, feeding off of the hopes and faith of ignorant folk spanning all corners of the globe.  Perhaps.

Or perhaps not.

Who to trust?  Some dude that has a small infra-structure of photos out there on the inter-web that makes it appear like a certain company exists, which could have been thrown together in a couple of hours by a single person, perhaps planned out a year or two ago?  Yourself?  Some other dude on the comments section, who's just as anonymous as the other dude?

Let's all make common sense common, together.  Realize the great risk that comes with this "play".

Realize that transparency is a real issue here with Searchtrade.com.

Realize that, in less than 3 months:

1.)  ST changed their pre-sale "slabs", and pricing increments for those slabs, AFTER people started to buy keywords.
2.)  ST still hasn't made it clear how much it will cost to renew keywords and, going off of recent track record, they may decide on some ridiculous renewal fee that will completely negate the potential rewards of paying a high amount of money for keywords early in the sale process, looking forward to company growth and ROI potential.  They also haven't made it clear, as far as I'm concerned, from what date the countdown to renewal begins (when keyword is purchased? from the launch date for people who bought them pre-launch?)
3.) ST failed to deliver on a promise to provide signature proof that they were (are) in possession of the bitcoin funds that they claim to have accumulated.

...and there is probably more that I'm missing.

All that we have to go off of right now is this, more or less, anonymous person's words and actions.  Seeing that the actions aren't aligning with earlier words, there's a good reason why people are having a difficult time trusting that this is all legit.

Time reveals all.

and they never signed their holding bitcoin address. there's no proof at all that they exist

Oh, have a hashtalk torrent downloading, 1.39 gb, that person who asked me earlier, I DM'ed link to you. Will see if it is 'real' and contains content, might have to import to an existing nodeBB install I have #somewhere#, will update in due course.
Can you put the site back up under a free domain, like .tk or something? That would be awesome. Nostalgic trolling engage!

That would be quite a nice, and funny idea.. Let's see how it turns out !

I'm only interested if there are downvotes and shadow bans Cheesy
