2001  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Catcoin - Scrypt meow! on: January 01, 2014, 08:02:41 PM
http://cat.poolerino.com will lower the confirmations to 60 tonight.

Also if pools begin to adopt this lower confirmation rate, then it can only be good for the coin.

2002  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XPM] [ANN] Primecoin Release - First Scientific Computing Cryptocurrency on: January 01, 2014, 07:48:02 PM
Any Ideas where we, as a pool owner, get a server software source for running a XPM pool ?

Thank you
2003  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Catcoin - Scrypt meow! on: January 01, 2014, 07:32:57 PM
Yes !

The 2 week retarget is guaranteed to kill this coin if it ever becomes profitable, due to multipools. This needs to be fixed immediately.
2004  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Catcoin - Scrypt meow! on: January 01, 2014, 07:29:56 PM
Well, as long running the pool is a business I can follow you. But ours are all 0% fee and just some miners donate.

But Im willing to help that coin, so if I lower the min. conformations and back it up with my own coins.

So what min conf. are be talking about ? 50 ? 60 ?

How can we pool operators change the min. confirmation withour risking our own coins ?
Change it in the source of the coin, then its perfect. 120 confirmations is to much.

1. No.
2. No.
3. It would not be a bitcoin clone.
4. The blocks would be less safe.
5. You are a pool operator.
6. You are a business.
7. Adapt.
8. Keep a reserve.
9. Stick your neck out for your users.
10. Have some balls.

Many pools already do this. The coin has to have 120 to be safe. It would be idiotic to change the coin safety, because people are too weak to take risks.

I have already donated coins to pools that do this. If you don't want risk, go to the back of the bus.

"Why should we risk our own coins?"

Whine, whine, whine. If you're thinking short term, then you haven't got a clue how this works. If I had the money to pay for servers, I would run pools myself.
2005  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Catcoin - Scrypt meow! on: January 01, 2014, 07:13:08 PM
Yes, but why shall we pool operators risk our own coins or even worst, the coins of other miners if we offer 40 confirmations only ?

Aren't the high level of confirmations built into the coin designed to protect it? What about when the hashrate goes through the roof?

Im going to ask a dumb question, but first I want to say I am not a pump and dumper and have faith in this coin and am sitting on a ton. However, with this huge retarget time aren't we just going to keep cycling this same issue. Difficulty drops, brings minners back, they pump it for a couple weeks, difficulty goes back up, they leave, rinse and repeat. If this is how it works what is the reward for those who stay dedicated and mine during the high difficulty? I don't fully understand the difficulty and when/how it changes, but just am curious.

The only thing people want is to get their coins.

As long as pools lower the minimum confirms, they will return.

The Bitcoin parameters (50 per block, 2 week retarget, 21 Million limit) must stay. Bitcoin has too many passive developers and users who are not innovating or are building bunkers for Armageddon. This is holding back real opportunities.

CATs are Bitcoins for innovators (users and developers).

I just want to make sure that I'm not spreading any bad word about this pool..!
It is an excellent pool with rapid support response..!
Unfortunately for some reason I'm not able to login and participate in pulling the rope to heap in the blocks from the deep black block-well
2017  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN][Moon] Mooncoin Pool - moon.poolerino.com, PROP, 0% Fee on: December 31, 2013, 01:19:54 PM
I know and especially in your case Im rly worried.... but all I can offer is the raw data of our pool db, so everybody can see at what time what blocks came in.

But others can say: well you edited the list also... so I dont know.

Well we tried to find out, but until the crash no block was send to our pool. thats all I can say.
Maybe forked or not valid blocks. all happend within the first minutes at 0.00x difficulty.

any clarification on my comment mike? was your pool forked the first 15 mins it was up?

yea so thats weird because in the same amount of time AFTER your pool was up i found over millions at mooncoinpool, thats why i was a bit angry/sad. If i had mined at moonpool from the start, i couldve had million or 2 more coins. My friend mined the exact amount of time as me but started at moonpool, with the exact same config he got 5.7 mil coins. I got 3.5 mil from moonpool because i stepped in later, after your pool went down. Before the downtime i got nothing. I basically lost a lot of coins so you can see why i was angry. Also, ive been mining at your pools always.

Is there a "working" QT with .dll and all ? Or just the one from page 1 wich wont run alone and my win warns me about it ?

Hmm guys I think you forgot to change Moon Coin's wallet's icon, because it shows DOGE Cheesy

Im around to help and support you guys, but as I said to you via PM, I cant see any problems with your account. Its not locked , nothing.

http://eac.poolerino.com
is anyone else having issues with logging in to this pool and also into their moon pool..?
