2001  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Parents And Their Children In Gambling.. on: November 06, 2022, 07:34:25 AM
Do you think any parents who live in a big city will want to move to village in order to raise their kid? I don't think so, money is more important then child for them, so if they move to village, they can't work in big city again. It's make sense since bad financial is worse than kid grow without his parents.

Bad kids can be raised anywhere, either in the village or in the city as long as they don't get the good parenting they need. A child can be given out to a village and end up being abused and grow up with that mentality, get the wrong impression of people around them and use that sense to communicate with people and the same goes for the city too. However, I think the guy is trying to give priority to society's notion that children that are raised in the village usually come out to be properly raised well when compared to city boys.

At least they still can hire an assistant or babysitter in order to teach and raise their kids.

I don't know if I am the only one who doesnt like a babysitter the way the world now operates, no matter what the parents do, they should always find ways to make time for the child/children, it stronger the bonds and makes the kids adhere to their ways easily.

I like how you think, I do believe that people who have bitcoin and wait for it in 8 years will be rich, because the expectations of bitcoins are rising more and more and since 2017 it rose to the price of $20k, people went crazy , when this year it is at $20k people and many say that it is dead, now in 8 years when it goes up a lot let's say to 150,000 dollars and then goes down to 70,000 which was the previous ATH, people will say that it is finished, the fud It works like this, opr that ´I think if they will be rich, and hopefully in 8 years from now I will manage to get my first Bitcoin to be able to have a more relaxed life.

8 years is a really long time, unexpected and expected events will happen. However, I think that all of these predictions of high prices may not come true because, as we saw when Corona, bitcoin experienced a severe crash. I sincerely hope that this won't occur again.

Gone are the days when people could look into their wallets and see how much money they had, now is the best time to hold the bitcoin you need, the search for a single bitcoin will become extremely difficult for new investors, holding a single bitcoin will be a thing of the past, and sats will probably be a new thing to talk about, which is why I believe now is the best time to hold the bitcoin you need.
2003  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why btc cannot move pow to pos on: November 04, 2022, 07:53:07 AM
This question comes, Do btc network can move to POW to POS?
I am just asking and there is a issue that electricity bill too. Energy problem is most hottest topic all now. so lets discuss this

There are three important keys I learnt from Certik, they are Decentralization, Speed and Security. Bitcoin has Decentralization and Security but lacks speed which has been the number priority of Satoshi with proof of work and so far, there has never been any of that too that has been comprised, we have only been battling with speed which developers have been trying to improve but in all honesty, bitcoin cannot have the speeds compare to proof of stake because it will break the decentralization and security.

In all of that three, one must be given up, that is why you see most proof of stake has speed but they are prone to hacking and too centralized by a few groups of people, bitcoin cannot be proof of stake if they want to retain its security and decentralization.
2004  Economy / Economics / Re: friend I want to invest short term in bitcoin and crypto. to meet their living a on: November 04, 2022, 07:34:02 AM
a friend of mine came to me and he asked, is it possible to invest in bitcoin and crypto for the short term,? which is to meet daily needs, and I am confused to answer because I am still a beginner in bitcoin and crypto. and I want to ask everyone about it?

The market right now is bad, there is no crypto you will invest in right now that will give you a short-term profit, to be honest, but if your friend is willing to risk it, now is the time to buy bitcoin, the market is down with an opportunity to buy at low price.
I'm concerned about your friend about invest in bitcoin and expecting to have profits to meet daily needs, bitcoin doesnt work that way, you should do more research and teach him the basics though there are people who invest in Alts coin and stake them and have them withdraws the reward, of course, your capital have to be huge, the more you stake, the more reward you have as passive income but I don't like Altcoins because highly volatile, the teams can rug pull and runaway and possible hack attempt.
2005  Economy / Economics / Re: Elon Musk Becomes Owner Of Twitter, Immediately Fires CEO And CFO on: November 04, 2022, 07:12:54 AM
Firing the two Top empolyee is one of the best things Musk can do - many people are very happy with his decision

People are happy because the sack was politically motivated, however, I think Musk sack them because he felt they were playing insider politics, he thinks they should have given freedom to the people and allowed them to have free speech but they were sanctioning and blocking accounts which is wrong in his opinion.

Elon has managed different businesses that came out excellently with massive revenues, who will query his decisions on Twitter when they know that his actions will bring in profits, just look at how they planned to implement $8 for a blue tick for every user, if that becomes active in the first quarter of 2023, I imagine billions they will generate in every quarter because most of the users want that feature badly.
2006  Economy / Economics / Re: 5 things you should not do with your money to get rich on: November 04, 2022, 06:55:34 AM
If someone needs to read that list to get their financial advice, they were never going to get rich in the first place. It might help stop them from becoming poor lol but that's about it.

There was never a specific path to success, and the OP never guaranteed his suggestion was flawless, but I believe the highlights are simply common sense that anybody would take, even so-called expert consultants. To achieve success, you must begin your journey and see what it takes to achieve a level, and what will guide you are yourself and your failures, though there are some people who are naturally lucky and may not see any failure throughout their journey to become rich, they exist and that's how life treats, now imagine wanting someone who was a favour and you want to be like them when you are not built that way, that is how life work.
2007  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk is one of the keys to be 100k$ per Bitcoin? on: November 02, 2022, 10:56:30 PM
Personally I dont think if Elon Musk or his tweeter account will eefect the price of bitcoin that much because we already saw his tweets in the past and people will not trust his tweets like before and even if his tweets effect the price I guess this effect is just going to be temporary and short-term

I concur on that temporal, if he decide to buy some stash of bitcoin today, it will have a short term effect on the price of bitcoin but even if he buys another billion worth of bitcoin, it wouldn’t have any major to effects at least that $100k right now because we are in bear market, never has that happened in the history of bitcoin, traditional market is also down signifying bad signal to those who want to fomo and I also feel the concluded injury is also yet to be heal(the Luna crash).

Not hating on Elon but he wouldn’t be there as the richest person forever, others were once there and they dropped. When the times comes for another person to rule, he will becomes irrelevant.
2008  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would this Lead to the Mass Adoption of Bitcoin? on: November 02, 2022, 10:26:50 PM
I don't know why we like to associated bitcoin to Elon Musk, looking at that comment I feel that they are forced and trying to impress bitcoin to Elon, a man that sold 70% of his entire bitcoin holding during emergency will do something for bitcoin adoption, I don’t think he will implement that because I still recall when he said something pertaining to energy consumption which has not been cleared.

Lightning on top of twitter will be as good as  another centralized system which I don’t like and from what ensued between FTX founder and Elon during acquisition of twitter makes me think he wouldn’t attach blockchain to twitter because he rejected millions of dollar due to some conditions related to blockchain and twitter.

We should help bitcoin get adoption but relying on Elon and his newly acquired Bird App should rest, he wasn’t here since 2009 and bitcoin has been doing well.
2009  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Question to players: what does really drive you crazy in an online casino? on: November 02, 2022, 02:13:39 PM

Longer or delayed withdrawal is a big issue for me, one thing I hate in online casinos is the delay in withdrawal and redirecting to a website when using an app.
Another annoying thing about online casinos to me while using an app is the pop up ads, these popped up ads take upto 15 seconds at times and that isn't cool for me.

Most times, the online casinos require heavy  network usages and might take longer time to load up if not having the required network for operation.

Delay in withdrawing suck and what annoying the more is the fee associated with them. I prefer when a Casino remove fees the way how busy every blockchain is but most of them don’t do that, they rather place a static fee for withdrawals especially now that all coins have lower fee, they still feed from users withdrawals.

I think ads cannot be removed from casinos, most of them are usually promotional that are within to make players know what is happening and what they are missing or give notice of an events, they are usually not an outside events, this is a most in casinos and they are just few Ads.

The lighter the games, the faster the games can load quickly, most of these casinos now want to impress players with good graphics that’s why we do experienced slow load time.
2010  Economy / Gambling / Re: What is the best thing to do if this happens on: November 02, 2022, 01:36:37 PM
Assuming you gamble on a mid to high-rated gambling website and you won big but they refuse to pay up, what and what are the legal way to make sure that the platform pays up your money?

It happened to many users; the easiest way is to open the ANN of that particular site in this forum and post your complaint.

It is usually observed that site owners followups on such platforms and resolve the complaint. But for the safer side, please don't use the sitwhoseich reviews that aren't good by its existing users.

Most often, reported case are users who have violated the gambling site rule deliberately or unintentionally because I see no reason why you will play on casinos like Duelbit, Roobet, FortuneJack, Rollbit, stake and other reputable gambling websites and wouldn’t pay you except when they have technical issues or perhaps have some issues on backend that they are not aware about, such ANN threads are most often than not trolls and cheaters.

If you play and didn’t do anything wrong, a casino that has respect itself will pay as long the users is legit, no company want to be sued because they know that you aren’t just suing them for the amount of money won, you will likely sue them for damages and stress went through.
2011  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Nigerian Man Won $51,000 in Sports Betting With a Bet of Just $1.072 on: November 02, 2022, 12:58:14 PM
I watched the video and I was impressed with the way he first went to perform salat the moment he realized the last game went as he predicted. What I have understood with gambling and religion by African countries is different from the way Arabs that spread the religion to them. Despite when Islam forbid gambling, they do their thing and used the money to take care of their self and personally, I don’t see why it is forbidden because I don’t view as if they are taking someone’s money. It’s a condition that must be met with a risk and once it is met, you will take your money freely but what do I know. I’m happy for that boy, this kind of win games are actually rare and I hope he use the money for good.
Well I'm not really judging anyone. After all everyone is free but on islam gambling is forbiden with all its games and ways small amount or big amount and wather you did salat or not in fact you will get more judges if you do it in name of allah. Because that's will be lying and trying to cover that. At the same time we can't lie to ourselves that gambling has more bad things than good things.

You can justify his actions, after all we all have sin in one way or the other which is even subjective to religion and individual but personally, I feel this is better than stealing and the player making salat is just his ways of appreciating God for a successful winning even when he knows that gambling is haram. Either ways, he is a millionaire in Naira and if properly invest the money, he will be living more of standard life.

First most of people are losing their money. Gambling is so harmful in many ways that destroys good people and lead to addiction. Destroys families after wasting much money on it and can lead to other serious issues like alchol and drugs. You may say it's just for some people i will say we are all just taking a risk.

You are very funny, you know right!
Gambling takes and give and nobody force you to play, it’s for entertainment and not an avenue to make riches but if you are lucky, you may become one and if you prioritize rich as aim in gambling, you will lose all you have, nobody is forcing it on anyone and nobody force you to register.
2012  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in Casino tokens such as BFG, OWL or TFS on: October 31, 2022, 10:46:52 PM
Well, it's not a bad choice but it depends on the casino where you will buy their very own tokens. Choose the one with an active dev who keep promoting and innovating their platform to be successful. Because as long as the casino is on top, then their tokens are useful too and can be a good investment depending on its utility within the casino because it can attract the gamblers not just to play but also to buy their token as an investment. However keep in mind that it has risk and the good result is not always guaranteed.

Casino tokens is not the regular type of other projects we see in crypto as most often, there token is always within the casino ecosystem, you wouldn’t know if they had active developers or any updates regarding the token tokenomics. The thing is, casino token progress rely on the progress of the casino and the revenue they generate, the more people comes and play, the more exposure they get, the more players buy premium options which require the casino token to unlock those options and consequently increase the demand and price of the tokens. I’m not actually impressed with casino tokens, they usually have low liquidity, low volume and low interest from investors, they are still new perhaps things will change in future.

The funny thing of the story is that guy celebrated his win by salat because he is religious and a muslim, the problem is islam forbids betting or gambling on anyway (strict rules in islam) just like ignoring that and doing something bad in islam’s principes. Anyway this guy is really lucky to win such a prise  with a very small amount he risked, it’s a very good odd though and also im wondering  which game  did he play or bet on

I watched the video and I was impressed with the way he first went to perform salat the moment he realized the last game went as he predicted. 2014  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it really possible to quit on these reasons on: October 31, 2022, 10:07:18 PM
………..

I think there is a little misconception about gambling, addiction, the fun/entertainment and quitting it. No one should see a gambling as an act that one should seek when to quit, it is for fun and should be exercise at your convenience, if you are doing it for other reasons, then you should know that you are been addicted to it.
Gambling can make you win something good and the same time can make you loose all, this is the basic every gambler need to know before they roll a dice, if you know that, making a decision shouldn’t be difficult with a neutral player, if you win big and feel like taking a break, go ahead. If you lose and had a bad day, logout and take a fresh air or do what you like best and forget the game but don’t forget the lessons and mistakes from that day.
2015  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: October 31, 2022, 09:53:31 PM
Chelsea are shown as slightly the favourite for their Arsenal match. But the odds are too close to each other now like 2.64 to 2.68.

While Chelsea are in this condition I would have expected Arsenal to be the favourite according to bookmakers also. Arsenal are still in a great shape in the league and they continue on their streak without a loss. Their attackers are going to be a huge threat to Chelsea defense. Considering how Brighton destroyed Chelsea the last time, Chelsea might have the same serious issues against Arsenal also. Potter is still unable to make this team better than before. Tuchel's departure didn't change much. For this match, my choices are double chance on Arsenal and both teams to score. I don't expect Arsenal to get their second loss of the season here honestly.

Chelsea are a strong team.  The big defeat against Brighton cannot be a factor in itself.  Ultimately, Arsenal lost to Manchester United in the league and no one expected it.  Maybe something similar can happen in the match against Chelsea.  Chelsea is a team that can beat them.  Even though Arsenal seem to be the favourites, I think both teams can win.

It has always been difficult for Arsenal to win Manchester United, if not for the short term inconsistency wining with Manchester United, that goal would have been more than what was observed that day. They are a small team compared to Manchester United, but I can say for the blues, though they are still in good form.
What happened to Chelsea while playing with Brighton was not what I had anticipated, particularly when the Chelsea coach faced his former team. Since they had struggled to reach the top four during his tenure, he should have known what they had been missing out on all along, but instead, they were jeered and humiliated.
2016  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A disheartening true life winning story on: October 31, 2022, 09:28:00 PM
Surely this situation just rarely happen, we don't even know if the lottery is telling the truth that there is indeed some technical malfunctions that is why the winner's ticket will be considered as void. But that is just too unreasonable especially when winning the lottery doesn't happen to someone that often, in fact, you might win a lottery but that will happen once in your whole lifetime. Anyway, what's the update of this case?

To be honest at least and from my understanding, machines don’t lie, for every output, there should be an input that was already sent in the first place, it is obvious that the lottery company is lying and using that excuse to cover their tracks not to pay the player.
I’m very familiar with Lotto machine and I have seen how it operates, the fact that the lotto machine printed out his ticket, there was something that was processed, why did the machine didn’t failed to record other transactions, it was only the won tickets that was omitted in their record.

They did deliberately removed that number from the machine probably before he came back because they as the operator know this result when it is announced and for them to be pleading with the winner to accept 27% of his winnings shows they are trying to bury the matter at all cost but good that he didn’t accept the cut.
2017  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: October 30, 2022, 10:45:17 PM
Union Berlin deserved to win. Their last-minute goal rewarded their performance. They did not stop believing in themselves. A great performance and good preparation for the Europa League match. Union Berlin and Freiburg make the Bundesliga exciting. Freiburg won against Schalke with 2:0.

I could not watch the game of Union Berlin vs Gladbach today, but i checked the score a few times and i have to admit that i really did not expect that Union would be able to win this game after they were behind until very late into the match. I thought that Union would not win today and that they would lose the leading position in the Bundesliga table but they have really impressed me with their performance today. Gladbach is a strong team but Union still managed to make a comeback.

The thing about Union Berlin that set them apart from Bayern Munich is that they know how to win games even with a fair goal. They don't have to expend as much energy to win matches, just two goals at the most explains why their goal differences are a little lower than Bayern Munich's and they are still in first place. However, I don't think they would stay there for long, they will wear out and be replaced by Bayern Munich.

Bayern doesnt look as if they came to play even Lewandoski's departure, some people will argue otherwise but Mane's replacement is one of the best things that has crossed over to the Bundesliga, Mainz isn't too out of their form, they are good but seeing how Mane took the match against them personal satisfy me of everything he is earning in Bayern, it is worth it.
2018  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling house responisbilty to protect people data on: October 30, 2022, 10:09:50 PM
Ideally, gambling houses should not disclose the identity of the person who won big without first asking him. Unfortunately, this is not respected always.

Those gamblers who do not want their information to be public, but the gambling houses make their names public, can go to the court of law as this is a serious offense. Gamblers can claim damages to the gambling site on this basis. Do you think gamblers should take the help of courts in this case ?

This depends on the type of gambling you are playing and the policy of the betting house, there are some gambling house who will pay their customers no matter how huge the amount is, they dont have to announce it publicly as long your way of playing wasn't the manipulated way ot used some external software or bots to cheat the system. However, there are some gambling house I know that do show the media of what a customer won to the public, they used that as anadvantage o=to even get to the public of there betting platform on how jenuine they are and very transparent, so that kind of gambling houses can't be sued.
2019  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: October 30, 2022, 09:58:33 PM
Right now, Barcelona is enjoying the little top fame of Laliga, but Real Madrid will come and take there rightful place when Girona comes for a visit Estadio Santiago but I fear that Real Madrid doesn’t repeat what they did the last time they met, it was a tough time of the league that period and they loss to Girona, I hope they could do better this time to fix their points.
Finally Real Madrid couldn't get 3 points in this match, recur again Sir but this time it's still lucky the both only share points. It looks like Girona has a good strategy in order to survive the attacks of Real Madrid, the standings for a while are so close. Maybe this result of match is not as imagined by Ancelotti.

It is going to be on record that Girona made a draw with Real Madrid after a while. However, If you look at that match critically, Real Mardrid domainted that game but I dont know why Anceloti became a blind eye on some players like Kroos. Some players are liability in some matches, it is better they get dispose on their first misrkes than wait for them to make another one, the way he did that foul was disappointing to everyone.
I was expecting for a come back as usual but Girona wasn't the usual type they do have their miracle with. I want to see Benzema come back next week, his injury status is not even clear at the momemnt.
2020  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: October 30, 2022, 09:24:03 PM
Arsenal didn't surprise anyone and met the expectations by far. This huge 5-0 win was very satisfying for them after a point loss against Southampton. However Gabriel Jesus has been silent so far. This is his fourth match in a row in the league that he doesn't score any goal. He still made a solid contribution with 2 assists in this match maybe. But Arsenal need him to start scoring also. Not all the matches will be this comfortable in the end. They will need him those times.

Arsenal are still unbeaten against weaker teams and it looks like this will go on like this for a long time. However their problem seemed to be in away matches against strong teams. They lost to Manchester United for example and their performance wasn't satisfying at all. Arteta will need to focus on winning those matches also as it is their weakness.

Apparently Manchester City will have a rival in the Champions race this year in the form of Arsenal, who to me have a better chance of winning the league than City. It's too early to say, of course, but it's all leading up to that. The fact that Jesus is not scoring I think is a matter of time, perhaps a period of drought, it is just as emotionally difficult for the player, he just needs to get over it

Arsenal doing their best and winning small teams is an advantage to why they are standing firm despite being underlook by rivals, but I don't like their close marking between Arsenal and Manchester City, I want to see a margin of 6 or even 10 points between the two to have full confidence in Arsenal carrying the league. Despite Jesus efforts to score, there was not open space for him and too much attack from different angles but having a good spectacular assists is better than having nothing at all in today's match.

The next week matches is going to be entertaining considering that Arsenal will want to maintain their first spot and Chelsea will also want to improvise from their previous mistakes to push forward in the table, If Haaland comes back, Manchestsr City will easily crush Fullham, there are plenty of teams to watchout.
