2001  Economy / Economics / Re: Price stability on: August 19, 2015, 02:33:05 PM
One thing is for sure,
as time goes by,
the price of bitcoin
will surely become high.
Haha, well said! Grin I hope so and wait for it

This is the mentality that always comforts me, if you look at the historic pattern of Bitcoin, those who have held for very long periods of time (several years) have always done well.
Yes I also don't wanna sell my Bitcoins.
Because I don't wanna look stupid just like the guy who brought $10 million pizza.
2002  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which is the best Investment Option for Bitcoins? on: August 19, 2015, 02:27:47 PM
buy bitcoins and hold it for the future that would be the best investment option as we believe that bitcoin will reach to a new level in the future.

Exactly, that is the best thing to do at a moment, buy some bitcoins as the prices is relatively low at present, keep safe it in the cold storage and preserve it for the future hoping that prices would reach to moon and can prove to be the best investment in the future, investing bitcoins in gold or any other product would not be profitable.
Due to Bitcoin XT wave, the prices are crashing down to the floor.
If Bitcoin lives after this wave of crashing prices then definitely it will be a good thing towards mass acceptance of bitcoin.
Hopefully it will recover the falling prices and we will see the prices teaching the moon.
2003  Other / Off-topic / Re: Worst mistake you did with Bitcoin? on: August 19, 2015, 02:23:01 PM
dont be too ambitious to recover, remain patient when playing gambling,
because I ever lost with some of my money in gambling, my ambition is to recover my money, I bet with all my money and think that I will win, but not as expected I lost,
so patient in playing gambling Cheesy
hahaha lol.
Only those people get into gambling who doesn't have any patience and want to make money in much less time.
Gamblers are always the impatient persons.
That's why the gambling sites make money and people loose money but they always think that they can beat the house edge and deposit more after loosing previously but never get money back.
I've seen very rarely that someone say to me that they have made good ROI in gambling.
2004  Other / Off-topic / Re: Complete the sentence... "I would sell all my Bitcoins if..." on: August 19, 2015, 02:15:11 PM
I would sell all my Bitcoins if the network switch from original Bitcoin to Bitcoin XT.
If the bitcoin core development team agrees to this decision of moving to Bitcoin XT then I'll keep all of my coins with me as this will be a good approach towards mass acceptance of bitcoin.
But if they disagree then I'll also sell my Bitcoins.
2005  Other / Off-topic / Re: Will you quit your day job to go full time on bitcoin? on: August 19, 2015, 02:12:25 PM
Are you inspired by those bitcoin millionaires? Are you thinking of filing a resignation letter on your day job (if you have any) and focus on bitcoin instead?

Me? I do have a day job and I consider bitcoin as my side job. I don't want to lose that another source of income just because bitcoin is awesome.

I am absolutely infatuated with Bitcoin and it has driven me to change my major to one that is related so that I can hopefully start a career in FinTech when I graduate. I was lucky enough to get an internship with a tech startup and would love to go and work in Silicon Valley. The only issue being that I have a fairly stable job that I could make a career out of and I am afraid to leave that safety net. It's definitely a hard choice  Undecided
I think no one could go full time on bitcoin without any preparation for his life. I mean, if you really want to quit your daily job, then you should make sure the risk of your choice, whether you can get enough money for your living cost with go full time on bitcoin or not.
Yes, just try for an year and see that are you able to get that much amount of bitcoins an year to fulfill your basic needs. And if yes, then you should surely go full time into Bitcoin.
But currently Bitcoin is very risky and also the network is breaking due to 8mb blocks, so please think about that also.

2008  Other / Off-topic / Re: DO YOU HAVE 1 BITCOIN? on: August 17, 2015, 05:54:51 PM
I need to do a lot of trading and getting satoshis from faucets in order to have 1 bitcoin. And ofcourse continuing my activity on signature campaigns.
I agree. I am in a sig campaign, and I just got my recent payout. I got 5,250 bits or 0.00525 BTC.
I do use faucets though. I use a Bitcoin, Litecoin, and Dogecoin faucet multiple times each day so when it pays out at the end of the week, I get at least:

0.0004 BTC
0.015 LTC
400 DOGE

As you can see, I think I am fine on Bitcoin

I just exchange the Litecoin and Dogecoin into Bitcoin.
How much time do yo waste in faucets Huh
I bet that if you do some posting here on the forum in that time then you will get more bitcoins each week and even reach 1 bitcoin much early.
Faucets are just a waste of time and people still use those.
2009  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is your trading strategy? on: August 17, 2015, 05:25:15 PM
It's just simple,  buy double the amount you have brought initially to reduce the losses and make a profit if odds are with you.
There's a saying that everything that goes up always comes down and vice versa is also true.

Some call this strategy "martingale" (in respect to trading). It is one of the best (if not the best) ways to lose money. And not only at gambling. You never know when and where the price will hit the bottom...

Since if you did, you wouldn't rely on this strategy in the first place
In gambling if we loose a bet then it's all gone from us and never come back.
But in case of trading it(altcoin) still remains with us and all we have to do is cut off the losses or if we have enough patience then earn much more of what we have invested.

Try telling this to those who bought BTC at +1,000$ per coin (and then had been averaging all the way down)

And with altcoins it is not very far from gambling. There are a lot of dead coins where people kept to such ideas until they ultimately lost all their money...

Perfect. Here many people thinking trading is very simple one can just find the current price to buy and sell when it go up. Trading is 24 hours hence if you don't sell at right position then you may end up in loosing every thing. As you said who ever brought at 1000+ they may not even see this price for ever also, if few more big countries ban btc.
I was reffering to invest in newly created altcoins and buying them before pre pump period and selling them in pump period surely gives us handsome returns.
But people gets greedy and think that they can make more with those shit coins and then are just left with their bags filled with those shitcoins.
2010  Other / Off-topic / Re: DO YOU HAVE 1 BITCOIN? on: August 17, 2015, 05:16:52 PM
I hope by end of the year I can post in this thread that I have 1 bitcoin. Still dont want to buy bitcoins with my fiat. I want to earn it without the help of my fiat.
As you are a full member, why don't you join more paying signature campaign like mine(cryptogames) or any other like bit-x.
In my campaign there is a limit of 75 posts per week but in bit-x i think the maximum posts is upto you.
I think you are currently underpaid for your rank, please think about it.
And here is the comparision between different signature campaigns Overview of Bitcointalk signature campaign
2011  Other / Off-topic / Re: Will you quit your day job to go full time on bitcoin? on: August 17, 2015, 05:06:56 PM

2012  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's your biggest problem with Bitcoin on: August 16, 2015, 11:41:26 AM
Confirmation times for sure, though lately I just give a higher miners fee, that usually makes things go a lot faster.
If you pay the usual fee then also it will get confirmed with almost same pace.
I've set my fee per kb to 10001satoshi, so it is also higher than recommended but not that much and all of my transactions get confirmed within the next minted block.
2013  Economy / Economics / Re: Why You Should Never Sell Your Bitcoins Ever on: August 16, 2015, 11:33:05 AM
In investing, never say never. Only fools do that.
yes if you argue with market in investment then market will crush you and wou will also become a bag holder.
just go with the flow.
If i have to take decision then i will also sell my bitcoins after rising of prices and keep half of them and rest will be sold by me.
2014  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you didn't get paid for your signature, would you still care about Bitcoin? on: August 16, 2015, 11:25:13 AM
Absolutely I would, to me, signature campaigns are just another way to passively earn coins while I posy on the forum. Its like a nice little bonus.
And it also encourages us to post more constructive posts on the forum.
Just there are some users who post much nonsence in order to get paid and ends up being banned.
2015  Other / Off-topic / Re: DO YOU HAVE 1 BITCOIN? on: August 16, 2015, 10:35:53 AM
Yes, I felt the same way after reading through the thread. But then again, I am sure there is a lot of trolling in the thread. I mean there is no way that all of these users are holding such small amounts. I would say that at least 50% of the answers are pure trolling.

I disagree there is so much trolling.
There are over half million registered users here so it is very reasonable to assume that many users own less than 1 btc.
The thing is that those do who have more than 1 btc aren't really participating in this thread.

Well I can agree with this. This might be the only other explanation. Thing that is wierd in this answer is the number of hero members that own less than 1 BTC. If we explain the things your way, than ''the hero thing'' is what sticks out for me!

I think a lot of members here are very young (under 18). I don't think most young people have an extra $300 floating around that they can put into a risky investment. How many people here have a diversified portfolio of stocks, CDs or an IRA as well as Bitcoin? I would expect not many. Keeping that in mind, you have to applaud them for taking what little money they have and putting it in Bitcoin. That's a extremely enlightened outlook.

i agree. actually there was a topic about "how old are you..." that i saw a while ago, you could see that a lot of members here are very young (under 18)
Yes, that topic is in off-topic section of the forum.
I really get amazed to see that those young men think so much about investment and all that.
But seeing young generation interested in share market and trading makes me feel good.
2016  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: August 16, 2015, 10:30:10 AM
It is better to invest, the current saving interest rates aren't enough to cover inflation.

good idea Smiley
i like to invest my money for future , like buy a GOLD/SILVER, also im holding some Bitcoin for future
If you want to invest in something good
That would be property/ land
Investing in it would return a good deal .
Yes buying landing is also a good way or investing money, but there are many problems in buying a new land or home, like registration etc etc.
I like investing in gold, silver and bitcoin.

Mark Twain's quote - Buy land, they aren't making it any more, will soon apply to Bitcoin as well. Bitcoins are still being generated, but the total supply is limited.
NO ,,,,land is being made every day.
People are cutting thousands of hectares of forests every day for making agricultural land and meeting our wood demands.
And due to which, more and more pollution is increasing day by day.

2018  Other / Off-topic / Re: Will you quit your day job to go full time on bitcoin? on: August 15, 2015, 07:53:19 AM
I will quit for sure but only if in my country it would be available some good exchange to change bitcoins in my local currency or even in us dollar or euro. I think that bitcoin have an enormous potential and having earnings in bitcoin I will have my everyday money for my family and me and a very probable secure investment for the future. Better than that I cannot imagine.
Better not quit your job because Bitcoin is currently new as compared to our old fiat system, so there are many chances of it getting vanished.
So I don't think that quitting your job at this point of time is a good decision.
2019  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is wealth boring? on: August 15, 2015, 07:50:34 AM
if you have too much you will have to spend a lot of time to protect that too much , m sure people who are actually rich spends that much time sipping wine somewhere ... there wifes doo enjoy though but the man incharge hardly able to sleep Smiley  Grin
Yes, their lifestyle is so much high that they always think of making more money to maintain that lifestyle.
There are many cases of actors and actresses that were rich in past and now they've become poor.
2020  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you didn't get paid for your signature, would you still care about Bitcoin? on: August 15, 2015, 07:46:41 AM
i think the whole point people do signature campaigns is because they are interested in bitcoins, it presents a way for them to acquire them if there were no such thing m sure people will follow traditional ways to collect btc like faucets and such  Smiley
Faucets are just waste of time and electricity.
If you want to make Bitcoins then you should do trading, but try to understand the market first and then take further steps, because there are many cases in which the people have Lost all their money because of some wrong decisions.
