2001  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do not trade Alts with BTC these days, You will just lose on: November 06, 2020, 05:26:36 AM
What about taking out bitcoin in margin trading and then buy some altcoins?

$15k bitcoin now .. while waiting correction let's say you go take 1 bitcoin and exchange it to 5,000 xzc at $3 each..
Once the altcoin season begins... the xzc price pumped to $6 each and your 5,000 xzc now worth $30k and at the same time the bitcoin price corrected to $13k then you only need to pay that amount of $13k , you have the rest of $17k as a profit!
That's the sweet scenario.
Now talking about the worst scenario , the price of bitcoin continues to grow and the altcoin continue to dropped , this is the crucial moment for you to set the right open and closing position. Trust me it has a lot of risk doing this  Cheesy but it's delicious though.
2002  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A gambler living in England makes a $5M bet on Trump on: November 06, 2020, 05:09:18 AM
Damn dude, $5 m it's ain't a joke.
And the current position is losing .. honestly I'm not familiar with the us electoral college system, with biden now on the lead by 264 electoral from the 270 needed to win , does this mean the election is over? Or is there any chance for trump to overtake this situation?

As of the current unofficial tally, Biden was in lead. Surely, that gambler is so busy monitoring the tally since it commence.

The more he monitors the more he will feel the pressure as Biden is currently on the lead, I hope he is okay after the winner is proclaim.

If I'm in his position, I would just relax and wait for the result because I can't take the pressure seeing my bet is going to shrink soon.
Well if it was $5m out of his $500 million wealth i guess it's just yet another bad day and moving on  Cheesy
2003  Economy / Economics / Re: The pandemic did push the world towards a more digital age. on: November 05, 2020, 11:34:01 PM
Even those people who are hesitant to use the digital technology are giving their effort to learn. This is in order to avoid going outside and mingle with people for something that they can avoid if they will use the digital tech. A lot of delivery systems are now going cashless. A move to avoid the usage of cash, as identified as one possible sources of transfer of virus. Better be safe than sorry. There's nothing wrong in learning new things rather than open yourself to vulnerability.
We are moving towards right direction now , crypto merchants getting more and more available,  businesses post-pandemic are recovering and even ready to bounce back.

The price of bitcoin itself rose to over $15k just now! What else could possibly make things right in this awful year of 2020?
It's a quick acceleration for cryptocurrency, where everything else slow down. The market are so exciting in response of this new era of digital age.
We are in the early stage currently, brace yourself.
2004  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading losses on: November 05, 2020, 11:06:08 PM
Some want to increase their BTC holding, and they trade it with other altcoins pairs. Either BTC move up or down, all these altcoins get crushed resulting in a massive loss.

Altcoins have not been profiting by hodling it. It drops down faster than you will realize it. Trading altcoins are better in profit for the trader and for the coin because as trading is recorded for the altcoin, its volume also increase but many are scared to trade their altcoins and prefer to hodl, at the end no profit to it.
Holding altcoins not always that bad , for example when you holding your xzc in late 2016 where the price is at $0.3 and make a cashout for profit in late 2017 for $120 in all time high , you are 400 times in profit! You just need to know when to have taking profit and move into a new altcoins as yeah altcoins most of the times didn't go further after hit the all time high , pretty different to bitcoin that always looking for a new all time high all the time.

But well yeah hodling for long time isn't advisable for latcoins though, losing in trading is just normal , making a comeback out of that losses , that is the difference between a newcomer and the experienced pro one
2005  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread on: November 05, 2020, 10:33:22 PM
Milan losing 3-0 LOL and probably PSV are the 2 big surprises.
Easy win for Roma.

Next fame for them will be at the end of the month by the way.

Milan's unbeaten run has finally come to an end. I just checked the scores and it's not funny for both Ac Milan and PSV Grin This is Milan's first loss for the first time in a long while (~28 matches). I knew this day was coming just didn't expect them to lose especially by this goal margin. As for PSV, they're a shadow of their former self.

I'm just glad to see all England team winning. Leicester city just can't stop scoring.
You can't underestimate lille , they are unbeatable too in ligue 1 and currently on 2nd below psg. A deserved winning for lille, ac milan seems had to get up after this loss otherwise they could go drowning deeper from unbeaten to the winless old ac milan. 4-0 for leicester city , tottenham 3-1 and arsenal 4-1 .. so satisfying to see england teams winning with quite huge margin , can they stay to play like this till the semifinal and make it all England final in the end?

Well i guess so , if only they didn't face a team like napoli or as roma though.
2006  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: November 05, 2020, 10:05:34 PM
I think that Chelsea have the potential to be the champion this season. They are playing better than the last season with their new transfers. Most people think Liverpool or Manchester City will do it but I would like to see a different team than Liverpool and Manchester City to be the champion this season.
Right now talking about Champion is too early as we have very long season and mostly we have some good and solid positions after December break so for me currently we have few teams those can claim title this year and these are Liverpool, Manchester City, Leciester City, Chelsea and Tottenham because these all are doing very good and need sometime for more better and aggressive results Arsenal and Manchester United are not in this race as they have some serious problems which need to settle for this all.
Bookmakers choose liverpool and manchester city as the favorites to win the premier league this season , chelsea are not included eventhough they have bought a promising young talents such as werner and havertz , it takes time for them to adapted,  liverpool so far is the one who showing a consistency as manchester city looks struggling in the first 6 matches.

And both Manchester City & liverpool will face each other this sunday , i believe it would be an interesting match with lots of goals scored. This pandemic makes everyone loves scoring goals isn't it?

2008  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: my situation with bitcoin how it helped me real use case today on: November 04, 2020, 11:00:46 PM
so my friend has money but not same bank as me he was different country but he wanted to give money to me and i need it fast so he bought bitcoin and i got money same day Smiley

he never used bitcoins and he thinks now its amazing:)  btc really solved that situation that he had different bank then me and not possible physically to give money
Glad to hear stories like this , even with the current high fees in bitcoin still beat the western union transfer fee and any other outdated payment processsor , time consuming... that the most important part when you use a traditional bank to transfer overseas.
As time goes by i told you guys .. the people needs in bitcoin will increased , the popularity will get boosted and we are stepping in a new phase of mass adoption now though.

This type of first impression needed to Introduce the whole concept of decentralized finance to the newcomers. Im happy for you and your friends.
2009  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: November 04, 2020, 10:30:22 PM
As predicted Juventus and Barca won their match and now they are both almost in the group stage.
They can focus in their Leagues.

Morata is superHOT!

And as told you this wasn't an easy game for PSG and their group look fun now

Man U 6
Lipsia 6
PSG 3
Basaksehir 3
Yeah everyone still has a chance to get through group stage.

Just like the real madrid group , it would decided until the 6th matchday who's gonna make it through the next stage.
Meanwhile chelsea get another cleansheet with mandy seems ready to set a new record!  Chelsea 3-0 all the way.
But this result hurt me as i bet that all of the champions league matches to have both teams to score Sad .
Clubb brugge and rennes the only clubs that didn't score damn while the other six did both teams scored. Unlucky.
2010  Economy / Economics / Re: The pandemic did push the world towards a more digital age. on: November 02, 2020, 09:23:51 PM
This pandemic brought so much headache to each one of us. There were a lot of negative effects in every sector of each countries. Majority of the businesses, companies, establishments, and corporations were forced to close down.

On the other hand, these unfortunate events brought an opportunity for the e-commerce industry.  Because of safety protocols given in different localities, people were forced to limit going outside and just stay home as much as they can. This results to people using digital mode of payment in transactions. Online businesses boomed and it was evident more people started patronizing these online shops and apps compared to rate of users prior the pandemic.

This pandemic paved way for wider users of digital platforms. Long before, digital transactions are already a thing, but i believe, this pandemic indeed pushed the society to adapt and catch up to the modern ways today (at least here in our country). Usage of online banking apps increased, the use of beep cards and cash cards on local supermarkets were slowly introduced for safety reasons.
Well there's always to sides of coin , but for us who literally doing things digitally since long time ago .. it feels like a blessing, an unexpected a lot benefit for us and we love to see it.
The protocol to better stay at home indeed pushing people to know more how things could be done digitally , it's just increasing the number of advanced technology awareness, especially in this case it's the decentralized finance usage.

They are getting close to fully understand how cryptocurrency works, how bitcoin works. That's indeed a good news!
2011  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: November 02, 2020, 08:24:18 PM
-snip-
but I’m interested in watching Leeds vs Leicester, should be a good game.
Vardy came on at the start of this match as a strater in Leicester's attacking line with the hope that he could contribute well and score goal. Leicester will most likely win the match in my opinion, this is because they have a pretty good motivation after previously winning 3 points from Arsenal.

And now, a quick goal came after 3 minute. Barnes score after receiving Vardy's pass. Leeds United 0-1 Leicester City. What the next ?

Quick goal needs quick response from bielsa, other wise they will struggle to find momentum in the second half or even worse leicester could add more goals.

So far so good leeds in possession, but that's not enough.
They seems lack of finishing touch, it's been happening since they play against Manchester City where they actually could have scored some goals but always failed due that finishing problem.

Edit : 21' now and they are conceded another goal. 0-2 for Leicester city. No way they could make a comeback? Let's see.
2012  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which DeFi project is most promising and do you think will become big on: November 02, 2020, 05:41:44 PM
Defi is not a traditional ICO, IPO or IEO, this is same as the financial institutions hold your funds like bank and give a return of your investment, the Defi is the same thing, the only diff is that that no medium has control over it. So I do not think that there is any risk involved. However the tokens pricing are dying because big whales are running away as they always do after making a lot of profits.

I think the only risk which is involved is are the projects, they could be scam or legit. I think you should only invest on long running projects whichever not ending soon.

Some say .. it's polkadot network. Run by co-founder and former CTO of Ethereum. The idea is to have interconnect network .. which is so far nothing happened even after they officially launched since early 2020.
Some people say it's ethereum killer which yeah a bit exaggerated. Long term investment in this project? Why not.

But if you looking for a short-profit taking like what happened on yfi or uni or maybe the greatest scam project yam , there's no hint about that though just choose them randomly lol.
So? The point of most defi projects are to get a quick money both either investors or the project inventor itself.

Other than that it's just hard to find one who really had a vision and passion to make something big , a breakthrough for the better cryptocurrency community.

You are asking for Defi project, these two are Defi projects listed on https://coinmarketcap.com/defi/ that are categorized by CMC.

ChainLink and UNI token. They are top coins on Defi. Both had mooned in the past which right now just took a dip, you may consider it a bargain price. There must be a lot of traders accumulating UNI. This is a utility token too.

Just because there's a list on how it sorted out based on the most capitalization,  doesn't mean the top one are the most promising and best performing one. That should be noted.
2013  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: American election is nothing to do with BTC on: November 02, 2020, 04:52:45 PM
Not directly towards Bitcoin's price. But if I read the previous articles circulating online, Trump has plans of banning use of cryptos in U. S. and if that's the case and it happen that more countries did the same thing, there will be a negative aftermath of such action in the price of Bitcoin because many people would be prohibited to make use of the opportunity of it to be profitable. That would be another 'possibility' but not until it became a reality, we will surely be the first ones to know. And if the other one supports this technology, then changes will also be observed and let us hope that it would be a better situation.

I don't think Trump is going to ban Bitcoins, but everything is possible. I mean the financial infrastructure for Bitcoin is being built with the CME offering, we see USA companies taking positions and more merchants accepting it as a means of payment.

I have to research what you said about the articles circulating online. I am not aware of Trump saying that crypto banning is in his plans.
Nothing and noone can even completely ban bitcoin , trump several times make a cynical statement about bitcoin but instead makes bitcoin looks bad .. those statements makes bitcoin even stronger, thanks to trump's free endorsement.
He is not directly stated has a special plan for bitcoin but he has bad point of view about bitcoin which could leads to a specific policy in the future just about the cryptocurrency thing. He can do it anytime.

Here's the thing , when the candidate publicly stated that bitcoin / cryptocurrency are on top list on their initiatives, the world could reacted positively/negatively depends on what they are planning specifically. Especially the libra project that has been rejected could be running again.
2014  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: November 02, 2020, 04:23:42 PM
I don't think Barcelona have any chance to be in the top 3 in this season. They have to chance their game strategy. I think their lineup should also change. Messi and Grizmen are not doing well together. Koeman should be more concentrate on this. Grizmen miss many easy chances. It is totally unexpected from a good player. He has to working hard more.
Question is can Ronald Koeman fix Barcelona where many one put a big question mark on his style of managing Barca. What a urgent move by Bartameu to recruit this person. We all enjoyed their game, presently we are facing the dark days as none of the players were settled under his administration.
It's only 6 games played and people start mocking on him badly.

Let him to settle in the club correctly in next few matches , having the same expectation as when Barcelona had xavi, puyol, iniesta, ronaldinho and prime messi won't help the club to get up , it takes ages to bring the old Barcelona. Not even pep guardiola or any coaches can do it.
Barcelona is the next ac milan seems legit now, everyone expects the great Barcelona while the situation are so bold different.
Next 3 Barcelona matches in la liga are against:

Real betis
Atletico
Osasuna

Koeman should get all three points from those matches otherwise the pressure might become more and more crazier.
2015  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: November 01, 2020, 02:54:54 PM
Milan performance is one of the best of the last couple of decades Grin
It's nice to see again this team fighting for the first places in Serie A !
It will last to the end of the season? They can achieve a champions league spot, but it's very hard they can compete for first place. Juventus has more players and energies to achieve another victory even this year..
Damn ibrahimovic, he has scored 5 goals in the last 5 matches!

Told ya they are unstoppable even though they seems always had quite a huge odds, from now on they'll have odds of 1.6 or lower with these outstanding performances.
Does anyone know how much the odds for ac milan to win serie A this season? I mean before the season started.
Meanwhile... Juventus held draw by spezia at half time now , morata can't stop scoring it seems! But that wasn't enough.
2016  Economy / Economics / Re: Iran accepting cryptocurrencies to avoid US Dollar on: November 01, 2020, 08:24:52 AM
It is not shocking that crypto could be used for legal loopholes like this. Humanity started using bitcoin for drug dealing looong before they did anything else with it, you could have bought weed with bitcoin and ship it anywhere in the world inside a book for years before people looked at bitcoin and said "maybe I should buy and hold this to make a profit".

Iran is doing national level of this, they are not doing anything illegal in the sense of drug dealing, but sanctions by USA is something they can't overcome with dollars or anything else, so instead they could use crypto to overcome that and not like USA could sanction crypto, it has no nationality which shows the world that small time drug dealers could use it for illegal stuff but as you can see whole governments can do that too.
It's only takes a courage for any country to do this.

Iran forced to use cryptocurrency as they see it as the best option, that's okay they feel forced but once they found it has a lot of benefit they might consider to use it more often than ever.
The reason is classic when a country try to accept cryptocurrency as a global payment, they are fear. Fear cryptocurrency could threat their own printed money .. fear it could threat economic stability and so on , so yeah it takes courage!iran did it due the complicated circumstances.
2017  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: November 01, 2020, 07:46:28 AM
City and Chelsea winning their game was expected but Liverpool 1-1 West Ham isn't good with less than 7 minutes left in the game  Undecided

Edit: Liverpool scored 2-1!
So we did it. Chelsea, liverpool and Manchester City all to win @2.99 wasn't bad though  Grin

Told ya it's rare opportunity to have all these favorites play at once against bottom/mediocre teams. I don't do this often but when i did it , it's just beautiful. ez money.
We are all a little bit nervous when west ham scored first but then mo salah showing insane skill (diving) and get rewarded a penalty .
We are all continue to worry as the clock shows it's 80' yet no goal scored until jota save Liverpool's ass. Liverpool moved to the top while my team chelsea moved to 4th after brilliant performance and another cleansheet for mendy.
2018  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Spend or HODL Bitcoin during COVID-19? on: November 01, 2020, 06:20:14 AM
My suggestion will still hold your bitcoin if you don't have an urgent thing that needs money, so you don't have to convert it into fiat if the bitcoin price does not touch the highest price. But if you want to sell some bitcoin to buy back bitcoin if the price drops too far, you can do that when the price increase higher, so you can have the profit while you have another money to be ready use to buy bitcoin at a low price.

You don't have to feel tempted because the bitcoin price now touches $13k-$14k because many people have a target price to sell their bitcoin at more than $15k-$19k. So if you want to follow them to sell at that price, you will need to hold for more and don't worry if the price needs longer to touch the next ATH.
Paper money could be worthless when the crisis hit the world , but bitcoin? Just ask gold holders. As bitcoin nowadays feel like more than gold.

The price Increased 4k usd within a month , that's bold.
Next month are indeed should be at 18k level And when people start selling the price would get higher even more! We have been in that position 3 years ago and we are crying to not HODLing , should we cry for the second time? 'It's once in a lifetime..' that's your thought should be.
HODL! forevah.

Alavés 1 - 0 Barcelona

unbelievable that barcelona conceded a goal like that  Shocked Shocked Shocked

I think Koehman is not a good coach for Barcelona but he's been brought to Barca just to maintain them to a certain level until they will find a proper coach so no wonder why they're not feeling their game today as we can see Griezman scored and just had another goal invalid for offside. If the old CEO will come to barca , we might see another run of Pep-Messi and this would awesome to watch.
Koehman should be replaced with a better coach. I doubt pep will be leaving city for barca again. I just see that he doesn't wanna come back again to the barca.
Remember even messy has boycotted koehman at the first session of training which has proven its players didn't confidence with its players.  A good team will happen when there's good interaction between the players and coach.
Pep loves money , at his age it's reasonable to do so lol

Wait wait guys are you calling koehman and messy on purpose?
I find it makes sense joking on messy but koehman? I don't get it  Cheesy , anyways it's just to early to say koeman career has ended with this bad start at Barcelona.
I'm sure there's quite a lot of space to improve with the league has only played 6 times for barcelona 2 win 2 draw 2 lost. What if from next week they are unbeatable like having only 2 draw 2 lost and the rest of it just win win and winning , what would you do? Yeah that's true , it's too early to judge now.

2 times lost and 2 times draw all of them barcelona did quite well in possession, the manager just need to figure out how to break these deadlock situations, he is adapting..
