2001  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you want to become Rich you need to Put Higher bets on: November 20, 2016, 11:39:29 AM
Off course , if you want to make profit much faster , you have to put high bets only. But this concept don't applies to every gambling website . I will differenciate them below.

#1 - Directbet - Winning amount is depend on the Odds ( × 100 or anything ) .If you bet 0.01 on cricket team and the odds are  × 500 , then you will win like 5 bitcoins by wagering just 0.01btc only.

#2 - Satoshimines - Here,  you can apply that concept easily.  The bigger bet amount , the higher winning amount will come up from the mines you will open while playing.

#3 - Casino , slot machine,  Roulette game , etc. Here also same concept applies.

That means if you will continue keep winning while gambling with higher bets , it will take no time to let you become a rich person.

Note : But it cannot be happen really , if you want are not lucky enough.

That was a nice suggestion. For me, I usually choose sports betting and I bet on the bigger odds like 1000 and using only my 0.001 BTC. It really sounds fun compared to betting in dice alone when the results is fast, I am a type of gambler who also want to enjoy at the same time.
Yeah putting such low amounts on high odds parlay is really a fun thing, I have done it many times.
When the events unfolds and we are winning its like watching a thriller movie. And hey anyone wondering how to play parlay bets with dice ? try directbet and add many 2 x and 1.5x bets and see the fun man, much better !

Aside from fun it is more thrilling because of the difficulty to win.  But once you win the fun, excitement, joy, or whatever you called it , is greater.  It brings you to another level of being high lol.  Because 1. you earn more 2. you expect to lose yet you win with bigger price.  But this case seldom happen  just like winning in a lottery.

What if you lose though? Then the experience multiplies too! You lose more and that amplifies the feeling ten folds.
2002  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Can Bitcoin exchange be considered as money laundering? on: November 18, 2016, 10:49:06 AM
Criminals can use this as a medium for laundering money. It's a mode they can exploit to launder their dirty money. Because of the nature of Bitcoins, it's a good and easy way to launder. But let's remember, there are plenty of ways to launder money. Heck, we can launder money through religion if you want to.
2003  Economy / Economics / Re: Should I believe in Bitcoin ? on: November 18, 2016, 05:33:19 AM
Of course. Bitcoin is the future of the currency, and that is also excellent to use as a payment medium. It is also becoming more and more popular, and that is a good reason to use Bitcoin.

I hope that more people will use Bitcoin in the future.
2004  Bitcoin / Mycelium / Re: What's up with this MyCelium fee? on: November 18, 2016, 04:02:38 AM
Unfortunately you were just very generous to the miner that got the block. Mycelium won't refund you (I'd have to assume) but I agree that this bug should be reported to them.

Was thinking of switching to mycelium but now I am hesitant to do so because of this. Is there an option to manually set the fees before I send the Bitcoins or is it automatically set?
2005  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Undergraduate Dissertation on: November 18, 2016, 02:28:26 AM
Hello everyone, this is my first post on here. I'm currently in my fourth and final year doing my undergraduate degree in Risk Management here in the UK. I became fascinated in bitcoin several months back and I have decided to write about it as my topic for my dissertation. Due to the nature of my degree I have chosen to focus on the security aspects of bitcoin and how it may evolve as a currency in the years to come. I plan on discussing the August 2016 Bitfinex hack and the impact this had on people's confidence in bitcoin, and so my aims and objectives are to discuss bitcoin's merits as a currency, and whether it truly has the potential to rival fiat currencies in the long-term despite the numerous hacking setbacks etc.

I was also planning on running a questionnaire on here in the future to gauge people's feelings on how they felt before and after the Bitfinex hack in terms of confidence, how you feel the hack has impacted on the community and how you see bitcoin evolving in the next five years etc.

I would be happy to answer any questions and I'm very open to any suggestions or feedback on my planned dissertation! Smiley

I suggest you start of with the history of bitcoin. Like how it started and how it was popularized by the darknet (you got to research about the silk road. Check out the documentary "darknet".) Then you move on to discuss how Bitcoin works and how secure it is to hold it.

Also research on Mt. Gox and those other entities like Bitfinex. Most of the time they say they got hacked. But in my opinion, they weren't. They just ran with the bitcoins. Theoretically, you can't hack the blockchain. In satoshi's white paper, he discussed that hacking the blockchain would be more expensive than mining it theirselves.

I would like to ask, what is your major?
2006  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is betting a good choice for a newbie? on: November 18, 2016, 02:21:02 AM
In my opinion, no! If you're a newbie to gambling don't do it! Just gamble for fun and not for profiting. You will lose all you have and just be buried in debt.
2007  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcoin bookies with NBA live game winner markets on: November 18, 2016, 02:11:59 AM
I used to bet on fairlay. I don't know if that is what you are looking for. But I think you can look around the forums for sportsbooks here. There are alot of new ones and old ones that you can try out.

2009  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Holding Bitcoin a long time good way to make money? on: November 17, 2016, 03:23:18 PM
Yes, I think the price of Bitcoin will increase some more in the next few months. The demand for it has not gone down and has increased exponentially but the supply is going down due to halving.
2010  Economy / Lending / Re: Need a loan (aproxx 1 BTC) for Poker tournaments (my roi = 25%) on: November 17, 2016, 03:21:24 PM
Another one who doesn't even read the stickies on this forum. If you don't have collateral for this loan you better forget it. You will not get a loan on this forum. Good luck to you mate, you will just get that useless account an ocean of red trust.

Don't be fooled.  These users know the rules of the forum very well.  They just keep making new accounts hoping just one person will fall for it before they get tagged.

Damn, that's a sad truth about this forum. We should do something about this and not just post on their threads. We can't just keep on warning people and telling the OPs of this kinds of threads to stop.
2011  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Bitcoin was made illegal by your government would you still use it? on: November 17, 2016, 03:13:52 PM
Bitcoin doesn't care about any government! Ban it as much as they want, they can't touch bitcoin! We will find a way to use it and we will not be stopped by just a simple ban from the government. It is our right to use it and they can't stop people from using it. Bitcoin is just like any other fiat money, why should they ban it?
2012  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is CHINA CONTROLLING Bitcoin? on: November 17, 2016, 06:01:05 AM
I don't think China or a country for that matter can control how bitcoin moves. It move based on how the whole world uses it. It is just affected by supply and demand. If the demand for bitcoin goes up then so will the price.
2013  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is gambling so addicting? on: November 17, 2016, 04:37:07 AM
Gambling is just so addicting because its so fun to do and you can also fun, these two factors are making it so enjoying and nice.
I really think 80% percent of the addicts is addicted because of this.
Gambling is not all about fun and you can do is fun in gambling you need to work it out your money just don't lose all your money you need to enjoy on that thing because in gambling you have the choices if you are going to play more or just stop once you lose or win.

Yes, gambling is fun and should remain as just for entertainment and not to recover what you lost. For me gambling on NBA odds is fun, because I cheer more for my teams and observe them on a deeper level.
2014  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Buy bitcoin without id verification on: November 17, 2016, 04:32:13 AM
bitsquare has only a few ways to deposit fiat, credit card is not one of them.

Well, that's a bummer. I had high hopes on this exchange network and apparently there aren't many options on it to deposit money into it to buy coins. Hope it does get more people in and have more payment options.
2015  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When is Gambling Like Investing on: November 17, 2016, 04:23:38 AM
When you invest in the house it's investing. You don't ever win in gambling in the long term. But if you invest into the house, you have a chance of growing your money in the long run.
2016  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best Investments on: November 16, 2016, 04:40:10 PM
The best investment for me is Bitcoin itself. Just buy and wait for the price to go up and sell it. So far most of the investments in Bitcoin is not a sure thing and are really risky. Also, you might fall into the traps of scammers and ponzi schemes.
2017  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you Rich from Gambling? on: November 16, 2016, 04:11:25 PM
In my case, it's the opposite. I didn't get rich from gambling and just lost 3BTC in the process. I just gamble with faucets money I get from websites and just max bet it and hope it wins something big someday. Well, that would probably be a long shot.
2018  Economy / Economics / Re: Reason why you should Buy bitcoin now on: November 16, 2016, 03:09:30 PM
OP, the reason to buy Bitcoin you stated will not affect the reason why we should buy bitcoin now. Because the banks that would implement a blockchain style of logging transactions would most probably make use of some other cryptocurrency which will not be Bitcoin. Because Bitcoin cannot be controlled, they will create their own that they can control. Hence, not affecting our buying patterns.
2019  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Will it working? on: November 16, 2016, 02:59:34 PM
In my opinion, this will not work.

Example, the price of bitcoin is $100 then it dropped to $99.90 then bot buys. The price further went down and stayed there FOREVER. Then you lost 10 cents per bitcoin.

Another situation is when the price dropped to $99.90 then bot buys. The price went up; bot sold Bitcoins at $100.20, but the price went up to $500. Then you lost the opportunity to sell at that price, and you could have earned more.
2020  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to play gambling in a smart way? on: November 16, 2016, 09:17:58 AM
The best way, in my opinion, is just to have fun with it. Don't gamble for profits and play for fun. But in the even you get to win something big, then cash out and walk away from the table. Gamblers must learn when to walk away. Don't gamble when you lost your supposed bankroll and walk away. If you do reach a certain percentage over your bankroll then walk away. Don't let the house get it back!
