I've collected Pros, Cons and Other thoughts on Tipping micropayments on the forum a while ago. As much as I'd like to have the feature, I don't think there's much demand for it. LN is probably unsuitable for tips since the recipient has to be online. That's why these LN tipbots all hold your money, which I'm not a fan of. If you're using LN through a trusted third party, then you're better off not using it at all. For small amounts, I wouldn't mind using and trusting a third party for low-cost transactions. Exchanges currently hold much more funds.

In a way, yes. But it's also nice to show the difference between an account farmer and a user who earned his Merit.
So I didn't earn my merit? Or am I an account farmer? No, I was in no way pointing at you ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Welcome to Self-made Legendary status!

You should sort by 10s when 250s are equal, that way you'll get back to the top since you have more 10s. Lol ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) I wasn't serious, the current ranking is good enough.
I've added DT1-tags to users who are currently on DT1. This also shows users who are close to dropping out of DT1. Example: 86. Gunthar (DT1! (4) 84 Merit earned) is included by 6 users with 250+ earned Merit and 3 users with 10-249 earned Merit. Gunthar is currenly on DT1, but he's one inclusion short for the next voting round.

UpdateDT1-status added to usernames. See http://loyce.club/trust/2019-02-25_Mon_21.39h. This was the last improvement left on my list: I have 4 updates planned3. Mark users who are currently on DT1, thanks o_e_l_e_o: What might also be useful is to mark which users are currently DT1 Unfortunately I can't scrape this, but I can make a list after each update (once a month?). I'm using theymos' DT1 list. I've removed marlboroza because of this: Blacklisted on request ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) That gave me similar results as Default trust breakdown, except for some small changes that were made since last Saturday's data dump. It shows when someone is on DT1, followed by the number of inclusions minus exclusions from other DT1s. Excluded users show as DT1. SampleLet me know if I messed up somewhere ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif)

Bitcoin is ingenious - warren buffet
Watch for yourself
First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win I'll post this link again: Gilfoyle cryptocurrency powerpoint - Silicon Valley S5): is it possible that Warren Buffett called Bitcoin a pyramid scheme because he has 92 billion conventional dollars to protect?

What does self-made mean? You're 10 Merit away from being Self-made Legendary too. I think I'm the one who came up with this term. The oldest reference I can find is this: With the obvious exceptions of theymos and satoshi, LoyceV might well be the first "regular" forum user to break 1000 earned merits. Which, for anyone who joined the forum after merit was introduced, is now the threshold to attain Legendary rank. That's quite the achievement. Since I realized that, it feels like it takes forever to get there. I plan to change my personal text to "Self-made Legendary" ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) I later added this: To sum up theymos is Meta-made Legendary LoyceV is Meta-made Legendary hilariousetc is Meta-made Legendary Last of the V8s is Speculation-made Legendary achow101 is Self-made non-Meta Legendary
Isn't every profile self - made? In a way, yes. But it's also nice to show the difference between an account farmer and a user who earned his Merit. I think a Newbie with 20 earned Merit is much more impressive than a Legendary with 0 earned Merit.

IMO the sMerits should be transferred to the ones, who had reported about the User to Mods for pilgarism. The word you're looking for is "plagiarism". That would make me a high-value target ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) I have 452 sMerit plus some source Merit left. Good luck finding plagiarism ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) in this way the sMerits will be not wasted Merit and sMerit isn't scarce, theymos can create as much as he wants. Several "redistribution systems" have been suggested, but it's much more work than just increasing source amounts.

So, I am eager to work for merit points and I am happy to do your tasks. I'll give you a task: create good posts! I first saw this topic on my mobile, which has many boards on ignore. When I checked your post history, I saw only 4 posts. You've posted loads of bounty spam, and didn't post for 6 months. Now, your very first post is asking for Merit. If you're willing to change, use this topic as an example. Read it, and see if it's something you can do. It's rare, but this former shitposter is now a decent community member. He cleaned up his spam by himself, and earned many Merits since then.

These animated .png avatars have certainly become more obvious over the past few days since the Stake.com bounty campaign started paying anyone for any old spam I've been using set "image.animation_mode" in Firefox to "once" for as long as I can remember, but the Stake avatars are still annoying. They animate too long for each round, and (combined with the massive spam it causes) that still creates long lists of animations on my screen. Animated avatars aren't supposed to be allowed, but I never got around to adding detection for the APNG ones. I'll look into it.
I'd love to see this fixed ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Does somebody reported the PM's sent or moderator take notice on their own if you are sending too much PM's. ? There's a "Report To Admin" link under each PM. I like to think Admin has better things to do than reading random PMs so that he can ban users.

Is it possible to make the script work on the page "Show the last posts of this person"? I can, but I need some time to do so. BTW, the authors of the big topics might be posting these links in the first posts of their topics. Then users will not need to post such links. If someone quotes the link, it triggers an update. I didn't exclude quotes yet (because it's more work).
|
|
|
On top of that, LoyceV will delete posts anyways linking to own unmerited posts. I won't, as long as the posts aren't bad.

I couldn't disagree more!
I very much dislike online services that require a password change. If it can be compromised in 10 years, it can be compromised in 2 months too. Even worse: regular password changes are terrible: it's extra work, it requires me to make a new backup of my password manager, and for the users who don't use a password manager, it makes it impossible to remember a new difficult password all the time.

Thanks for another great analysis! It took me a while to let it all sink in. My percentages are quite low: 21.07% and 10.49%, but my trust list is quite short: I've only added 18 users so far: If I'd have to guess by heart who on this list I've merited a lot, that's Vod, hilarious (at his alt), suchmoon, actmyname, The Pharmacist, DarkStar_ and marlborozo. BPIP shows that hilarious, actmyname and marlborozo don't make it to the Top 10. It's interesting to see how it doesn't fit my expectations. I'd also be very interested to see the same data, but on users who trust me instead of on users I trust.

It would be nice to see a "button" under a users profile to add them to your trust list, followed by a pop-up explaining what you are doing/ are you sure. I like it! Simple and effective. Now let's see if Admin likes it too.

The title says it all. Full credits to Steamtyme: It would be nice to see a "button" under a users profile to add them to your trust list, followed by a pop-up explaining what you are doing/ are you sure. Clicking the profile is much easier than manually editing your trust list. This could be a very good way to promote the use of custom trust lists.

I've seen a few users who (most likely) added the wrong users to their trust list. I'll use this topic as a reference, feel free to add more cases. 1.I think they tried to "add everyone" by adding a *, not knowing it's an existing old username. They haven't been online in years. 2.This is an active user, I'll send him a PM. Update: this should be fixed now No spamOther posts welcome ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

I'd say you broke this rule: Forum rules 29. Sending unsolicited PMs, including but not limited to advertising and flood, is not allowed.
If any of your active campaigns require any attention, feel free to email me ( [myusername]alenzuela@gmail.com) a signed message and a link where to post it.
