20121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CoinMarketCap.com - Market Cap Rankings of All Cryptocurrencies! on: November 28, 2013, 10:54:48 AM

I really enjoy this site, I watch the fluctuations all the time. Wondering if you are planning on adding BTC graphs for all currencies as well?

Like other foreign currencies?  Perhaps.  I was thinking of adding CNY at least.

I'd appreciate it massively if you could add £GBP. I'm sure adding other currencies also would be appreciated by many.

20122  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are all your friends telling you to cash out, too? on: November 28, 2013, 10:47:56 AM
Mine wont shut up...

I try explaining what bitcoin is, they think it's a "scam' lol.  I don't get how that's possible when the currency is decentralized.
Anyways, I told them to buy a couple like me when the price was at $120 USD, and of course they changed the subject in like, 2 seconds.

That's it, really.

They think it's a scam because of the way it's sold/described to them. To be honest, it usually does sound like a ponzi/pyramid scheme and does sound too good to be true, and if something sounds too good to be true, then it probably is. I ask them if they think trading fiat money or buying shares is a scam, and just tell them I've made nearly 10 times my money and to do a bit of research and keep an eye on the markets.

It's funny how bitcoin changes your perception of what it means to "cash out."  Cash out to what??

Cash out to cash. Fiat. I mean, I doubt a Ferrari garage is gonna accept BTC, but they'll happily take cold, hard cash.
20123  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin will hit the $1000USD mark before the day ends! on: November 28, 2013, 10:42:32 AM
I don't think it will reach 1000 today but probably tomorrow or the next day then I think it will probably drop again

Haha, dude, it already hit $1000 yesterday. It's rising to $1100 now.

I don't wanna send my nudes to anyone on the internet.

Would you send them through the mail? Wink I wouldn't send nudes to anyone either, but I probably would if the coin was right Smiley. It's a catch 22 situation. On one hand it's piss easy money for you, but on the other those pics could come back to haunt you later. I have both respect/kudos for women who capitalise on men's fetishes to make a bit of cash whilst I also totally respect them/you for not being a typical camwhore, but everyone has a price. What's yours?

People feel free to make me offers for nudes.
20127  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are all your friends telling you to cash out, too? on: November 28, 2013, 01:33:40 AM
So now I am hoping LTC will have the same succes,

There's a good chance it will. Keep hold of 'em. You could spend a little on some of the other up and coming cryptos if you can afford it. It's worth the gamble.
20128  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are all your friends telling you to cash out, too? on: November 28, 2013, 01:27:43 AM
Mine wont shut up...

Ignore them. Then wait for the cloud of smug you can float around on when they’re at $2000.

FFS, I'm sure every time I go to get a haircut now I'll remember this thread and probably think to myself *I could probably get away with masturbating here right now* as a wry smile slowly creeps across my face as I finally lose the ability to hold in my laughter, then awkwardness will ensue. Thanks.

Is this you by any chance?

Jesus. Can't you guys just impress me for once with these crude jokes? make something funny.

you know what's funny? you voluntarily posting a pic of yourself on a forum 90% full of testosterone fueled men.. and expecting something else.

I smell attentionwhoring in this thread?

Can't knock the hustle. A girl's gotta eat. If I was a woman I'd be doing this, and I'd bet a bollock that most of you would be too (and probably worse). haha

WORLDSTAR.

All I'm saying is, be funny when doing it. I know how the internet works.

There's been quite a few lols in this thread. In fact, this is my fave thread on btalk so far and I salute you all. I'm honoured to have been a part of it.

Just out of interest, how much

Some people expect Russia to start banning Bitcoins after the last Internet censorship laws being passed.

In Russia Bitcoins own you.

20136  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Just won a 1200 dollars !!! on: November 28, 2013, 12:15:10 AM
can you place bets if your under 18?

Probably not, but neither can you drink alcohol and do a sex but peeps do it. And I'm sure it was just a bet with a friend or on here or something. That's why I wanted to know if they paid out haha.
20137  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin @ $1000 now I want to buy this HELICOPTER on: November 28, 2013, 12:11:01 AM
Or you could wait a little longer and get a real helicopter Cheesy
Depending on how many coins you have i guess

Example of someone who saw 5 seconds of the video and then posted a comment.

LOL, I thought the same, that it was a 'toy' helicopter, but if you watch 10 seconds into it, you can see it's a FULL SIZED HELICOPTER.

Same here haha. Although maybe he's a chopper snob, and anything that isn't a standard one is not a "real helicopter". You know, like people say Nickelback are "not real music". haha.
20138  Economy / Goods / Re: Would there be any interest in a bag of assorted old coins? on: November 28, 2013, 12:07:35 AM
I have a small bag full of old coins and I'm not really a collector. My mom's friend was though, and she gave them to me when I was much younger. Now they've been sitting in my garage for about ten years and I would like to get rid of them, as I'm moving. If there's any interest I can go find them and post pictures.

EDIT: the coins are from various countries, like Mexico, U.S., Canada, China, and some others. There is also a small amount of paper currency if memory serves.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/currency/8655250/The-10-most-expensive-coins-in-the-world-in-pictures.html?image=2

If there's any of the above, then the answer is yes lol.

Take a picture and see if you get any interest. Worth a shot. Hard to say if somebody would be interested without more deets.

20139  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bitcoin Firesafe on: November 28, 2013, 12:02:05 AM
Been working on an idea for a little while, and I just published it... http://bitcoinfiresafe.com/

Basically, the idea is to make something much more secure against environmental damage than a paper wallet.  I built some custom code and have made some prototypes, and at this point, I'm ready to offer some to the public.  Given that Bitcoin Black Friday is kicking off, and we're launching at the same time, I'm offering it for a deep discount of 40% off the normal $50USD price.

If anyone has some suggestions or questions, please let me know!

That's pretty cool. How much do they weigh?
20140  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Countries banning bitcoins on: November 27, 2013, 11:56:07 PM
I read a few minutes ago that In China, there is BTC BAN for all Chinese Vendors comming soon. Dont know how reliable the story is, look into.

But if so, bye bye BTC.

Really? I thought the China government were also buying.
Also, there is this one badass miner in China who mines like 50 BTC a day lol...
I heard that they also banned them in Thailand.

Didn't they just not grant Thai exchanges licences to exchange it or something, not ban it per se?
