Ha ha....GREAT looking padlock! I have to admit my favorite part is the background on the left panel......that is sharp! I agree. Looks like plush leather. Nice work.

Just after 1:00 AM here. Off to bed and hoping to wake up to ~6 more blocks. Sorry to have bored anyone with tales of woe due to diff, halving, expenses, etc. Tomorrow is always a better day. Hopefully. Good Night all!! CapnBDL Ya just gotta love the code that kano & ck have running. Flat-out....ingenious. Good job and thanks!!

Block! cryptichermit gets on the Acclaim board with his first Kano block! Way to go!
It's a real orphan race this time ... we were first on the relay ... lets hope we win ... We Won! ... and beat eligius Is it unusual that the reported worker is inaccurate? website says cryptichermit.cpww9 found the block, but it was actually cpww16? I see #9 as well. Can't help you. Sorry.

|
15 mins ago we got another block
okay I see it on blocktrail but not blockchaininfo The block explorers seem to really struggle around the time the orphans hit. Sometimes they may even need manual intervention to keep working it seems... blockchain is showing Eligius as having won that block yet if you click on their block it then says orphan. Regardless, it's our block as all nodes have synced up to ours and confirmed it numerous times since. Our extensive propagation network (and numerous ckpool improvements to distant nodes) may well have paid off on saving that one. See...told ya. We have the best pool, best code around. YeeeeHaww to kano.is!!

@kilo17, Nope, I think you may have not read enough or else just missed my regrets altogether. I would/will never mine anywhere else but here. kano.is truly is the only place to mine, whether big or small. I am NOT looking to go anywhere else. I am looking at some possible off-site hosting. Sorry if you misunderstood. By all means, STAY here!! You won't be sorry. CapnBDL

Really fantastic stuff you are doing vegas. I have used photoshop many times and know it is very tedious work, not even to mention the eye-strain. Wow...nice!! Only thing I have noticed with this wallet 'edition' (not version) is that you really can not tell if the wallet is open. It just looks like a vertical line, on screen. Running Windows10, build 14257.sr1_release 160131-1800. Yup...I know...it isn't an everyday version of Windows, but it is the latest they are pushing, so you may want to make sure the wallet is compatible to what-ever Microsoft ends up giving us. Thanks again, CapnBDL edit: More than happy to be the Windows beta-tester!! For a PRICE...LOL!! <jk> Hey...rank has it's priv. Not just anyone is qualified to test out some of the stuff MS puts out. Been doing this since DOS 2.4 or 2.3 (I think), and know for sure since DOS 4.3 (just before the Windows GUI). Loved 3.1.1 and think MS should have never messed with Win7. Great OS, based on XP. The most stable MS ever created, IMHO!!

IF this race can be won...kano and ck will! Can't beat good code.!! CapnBDL

@thedreamer, HiYa...how goes it? Haven't chatted to you in a bit. You, of all people should know...it actually IS just a smidge smaller (I've done the numbers). Here's the thing tho, when I add in the electric cost to mine, that 'tiny' bit makes the difference on break even (or for me, I lose a little, as a hobby) & giving up. Or...maybe it's all the kids and noobs that got the new shit for Christmas, who think us little miners have nothing to contribute towards helping find the next block. They all want more power!! Sounds like a Tim Allen show. Sorry for the reference, if you don't understand that. I try to keep up with the tech as soon as I can afford. It is outa reach anymore. Go BIG...or Go home!! That's where I'll be. CapnBDL edit; And to be totally clear....it is NOT this pool. I would NOT mine anywhere but here. kano.is is an A-number-1 pool, 5 star. At least not until I have to try my hand at solo. (sounds kinky) edit 2; Further, I never referenced the payout. It was a statement concerning needing about 52ph. Comon...not looking to fight or argue here. Just sayin' what I read into it. May not be anyone elses opinion, just mine. Peace? Okay I don't mean to make you annoyed. I am of the opinion 5 to 7 % of the network is better then 2%. When I first mentioned a ph number I mentioned 40 ph. which at the time was about 5% of the network. We have entered an insane growth phase. Which is why you are hurting. This is the problem we grew 110% under 90 days Difficulty History

Every spring my power bill goes from 9.7 cents (heating savings included) to 18 cents. May 1 to Oct 1 I am in trouble to mine. I sympathize with you why don't you read my posts and see how much I have given away on site. You could enter my free contest on difficulty prediction cost you 0 to enter. you have about a 1 in 100 chance to win .1 btc I give away in more then one promo> frankly I am happy if the pool shrinks to 10ph as long as the network shrinks to 200ph Oh dude!! I am not sure if you have me pegged or totally wrong, but either way, I think you caught the jest of what I am saying. And..thanks for that. I think the 'home-miner' is gonna be dead very shortly, or sooner, at this rate (not joking) and it is time to search elsewhere. Yup...I know the pool must grow to keep up with what is going on in the BTC world. That doesn't help the pain the little guy feels. I would like you to think about this...where would BTC be today without us? What chain, what block? just sayin' Thanks to all the old-timers out there!!! @ 'blockchainmines', let me know if you get off your butt <jk> and host a small miner site. I would love to send you both of my S3+'s and one S4. Just one request, make sure you point them here. This really is the only place to be. Best payout, best staff, best community, best everything!! PM me, I'll get you started if the price is right. Thanks, CapnBDL

Sorry, I am gonna rephrase. I came here to kano.is because the little guy could make a difference. This pool was first started as a big-timers pool, but had no real mining support and the little guy mattered. Then, some of the big-guns jumped onboard. Next, we wake up, and even 1Th doesn't matter. With the new equipment out now, I guess we need another little guy pool. I am getting fed up!! Just my opinion...doesn't matter to anyone but me...CRAP!! CapnBDL edit: sad days ahead for 'old' BTC miners. ck & kano...you guys rock!

Anyone notice that the last block with a diff of 467,893,222,434 was the highest diff block in the history of the pool? AND took less then 24 hours, gotta love that.
This is why we need the pool to be at least 5% of the network about 52 ph I feel if we could do 5% to 7% steady we could be a player it would really be decent for at 5% blockfree or blockless days would hardly ever happen No offense meant, but your statement seems to mean you want 'more power' and less little guys. Where should we go now? CapnBDL edit: We only have gh or th not ph. Some can't do any better. Are we just mining 'dust' now?

common kano work your magic were at 21 hours and no blocks found
I finally decided to move my farm over from antpool to kano and apparently I stepped into a 23 hour test of patience. Ok so seriously I have pushed antpool on my youtube channel but as antpool keeps growing the logic to support the smaller pools makes more sense. That being said we all still need to make money so if I am in, I would like to share this with my subscribers. However, for me to use what little influence I have right now can someone maybe give me an higher level overview of how a ckpool works vs say a larger pool like antpool. I read the thread on ckpool last night and it was a bit over my head. I am trying to learn more of the of the inter workings. Thanks in advance for your help! https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCwoLtAoTpf1e6pRqpwNI54A?view_as=public I have been here since June, started with 30Th and now over 100Th. Tried all the other pools, done a month by month compare and Kano has always won. Now at over 20PH, variance is better but even at 1PH, Kano won over all the others. Also, given the state of BTC today, I will not and would never mine on a Chinese pool, i want BTC to flourish and not get killed of and totally controlled by China. Below is my first payment on Kano. I was here during the Hell 666.666 block and Red October and still did better then anywhere else. Not to mention the support, the forum and CK and Kano, does not get better. Note: Pool was 950th when I started, now we have miners with more hash then that 361844 21/Jun 03:06 24.78767691 248.849G 279hr 48m 34s 1.06PHs 2.64% 6.557G 27.96THs 0.65315985 361170 16/Jun 10:05 24.78482217 248.818G 312hr 13m 33s 950.76THs 0.92% 2.281G 8.72THs 0.22721248 361153 16/Jun 07:23 24.93367120 249.055G 312hr 1m 7s 952.30THs 0.89% 2.209G 8.45THs 0.22116139 Oh heck...I remember when it took days, not hours to solve blocks. That DEMON block was the worse tho. CapnBDL

This block is nothing to worry over. We will solve it soon, I am sure. For the new people here....ya should have been around for the infamous 'DEMON' block. LOL CapnBDL

IMO, even with free power a new S7 is pushing the possibility of ROi... Unless you run it for like 10-12months and price does not crash. What's funny is that the S7, being fairly new tech, about the same if not less of a chance at ROI than an S3 . Yeah...but mine run 24/7 and with the diff headed up, my S3+s are just not staying up. Not that I run in the top crowd, but damn...gotta do something. Shame is, I have an S4 I bought a while back (used) but found out what my electric bill would be and that I need more amps that I can push, so I never brought it on-line. I need to sell that off, then MAYBE, I could afford to upgrade. These S3s are really work horses tho. I love 'em. AND...they have paid for themselves, so I am ROI on these. Simply unable to afford the new stuff at those prices. Not sure I would ROI on the new stuff, altho, I don't see the price of BTCs going down much. (fingers crossed) Damn...what to do? CapnBDL Not sure in what part of the world you are but you can heat a part of your home. It's pretty much free electricity since you'll be heating up the house with it anyway. You can also try to host your S4, if you can find a cheap place. They are quite noisy too for home mining. S4 are not cheap to ship tho ... they are heavy. Try to sale it locally. (Kijiji price are always high as hell here in Canada, might be a good way to put it for a low price ... it should sell fast) Heating my home is the last problem I have. I live in FL. If I knew someone local to sell to or a cheap host.... However, I am home-bound so I don't know of anyone else that does this in my area. I'm sure somebody does tho. Not sure where I could host it at either. I saw the post about the $300/mo, but that is waaaay too high. I'll 'Flea-bay' it before I pay that much.

Damn....These 2xS3+'s just are not gonna cut the cheese anymore. Sooooo....how much am I gonna need for an S7 or an Avalon? I don't even want to look at those sites because I am sure I will drop to my knees and cry for mercy! LOL (not really funny tho). I only have one 20amp circuit to work with. Thanks

Hi All, Here it is, Super Bowl Sunday!! I don't expect much will move in the exchanges today from any holders in the USA. Just looking at my wallet, I see I only have 2 nodes connected. Is there a list of nodes I can put into a .conf file to gain some connections? Also, when looking at the explorer, I don't see a legend anywhere that explains what the colors mean when checking transactions. Would someone define what they referring to? (red, green, purple, etc.) Thanks much, CapnBDL I should have included this list of peers i am connected to: "addr" : "81.169.137.12:61990", "addr" : "68.224.11.146:59330", "addr" : "72.91.170.103:50782", "addr" : "144.76.236.8:33895", "addr" : "82.136.91.195:60392", "addr" : "213.108.119.84:50102", "addr" : "85.214.152.3:62308", "addr" : "95.117.23.132:65161" Thanks much. I'll give those a try.

Is it common to get so many orphans when staking? Lately, I have receiving more of those than good blocks, 2 for 11, since Jan. 21st. So disappointing. CapnBDL
