The cricket match between India and Australia in Raipur today is cool to be a thrilling encounter as both teams struggle for a series win. The analysis suggests that both sides have identified key areas for improvement. India is particularly focused on addressing their concerns in death bowling and enhancing their top-order batting performance. Meanwhile, Australia aims to adapt to changes in their squad and strengthen their middle-order batting.
The outcome of this game holds significance for both teams as they seek to build momentum heading into the upcoming T20 World Cup. Cricket enthusiasts can anticipate an intense and competitive clash as India and Australia battle it out on the field.
As of now, depth bowling is a real concern for India. Mukesh Kumar has done a good job till now, but the other pacers such as Arshdeep Singh and Prasidh Krishna have failed. I would rather love to see Deepak Chahar in the place of either Arshdeep or Prasidh for today's match. Also, Suryakumar Yadav hasn't matured enough as the captain. He needs to refrain from using spinners to bowl end overs. During last match, he asked Axar Patel to bowl the 19th over, and it went for 22 runs. If not for that blunder, India would have won that match.

As I understand, AED is another intermediary in a trading link. Adding one more link, one more hungry mouth always increases total cost of a product. As to current price decrease, it cant be connected with currency change or addition. Volatility aint that huge, it can be counted in tens of percents. Yesterday, after making my post, I paid more attention to fuel price, and they are even lower. Cant explain why. The lowest was 1.48 EUR for petrol, while I am already used to see prices to be on 1.70 EUR level.
Obviously United Arab Emirates Dirham (AED) is being used as an intermediary. Indian companies don't want to use CNY (the government has prohibited them from doing so), and therefore they make the payments to Russian oil companies using AED. The Russians convert AED to CNY or any other currency they can use to import items that they need (such as pharmaceuticals and engine parts). Now the trade may shift to Singapore Dollar (SGD) or Hong Kong Dollar (HKD) since the UAE banks are not very comfortable with making payments to Russian clients.

You can add Umran Malik in that list because he can clock 155 consistently but not accurate as the legendary names mentioned but we also need to accept the fact the cricket is becoming batting friendly so we may not see such kind of bowling ever again in the history books. But am I the only one who enjoys the solid defence from Rahul Dravid when balls bowled at him clocking 150kmph? I mentioned only those who are regular in international cricket. Umran Malik is quick, but then he is not even a regular for his IPL side. Anyway, nowadays very few few of the fast bowlers even try to bowl as quick as they can. The focus is on control, so that the economy rate remains good. Those who didn't did that got replaced, such as Dale Steyn. Another factor that has impacted the fact bowlers is the heavy penalties that are being imposed for slow over rate. Most of the pacers nowadays have shorter run-up, in order to save time.

Do you want to say that Germany has already fallen below the "that" Greece and so low that they cannot claim the title? My point of view is precisely that although Germany has fallen, but from the area where it now also sometimes champions comes out. In addition, we must expect a return to the average from Germany. Plus, taking into account the fact that the number of shitty tournaments has increased and led to the fact that the ratings have lost their at least some accuracy, I would not rely on them.
Agreed on the accuracy of rankings. Sometimes I find it very odd and difficult to agree to. But then, there is no doubt that Germany has been on the decline for more than a decade. Very few European teams have maintained their quality and in my mind only England and France are there. Spain and Italy are in rebuilding phase, so I would rather not comment on them. Others such as Danmark, Netherlands, Germany, Greece, Belgium, Serbia, Switzerland and Sweden has been on the rapid decline for the last several years.

At this very moment, i'd very much prefer role-based captaincy in every format so won't mind 3 different captains for all 3 formats.
Indian squad for the South African tour. I was thinking about spilt captaincy in each format and they are heading in the same direction. Although i believe atm it's a monkey balancing act as far as the White ball (T-20/ODI) format is concerned. SKY is just a temp skipper because Pandaya ( or a senior player like Rohit) is not there and it also indicates that they are not looking at Iyer as an option for T-20 skipper, despite him being in the squad. For ODI they went with KL, IMO it would be too early to make any assumption about it as ODI is not relevant right now. Test captaincy was obvious so not a brainer. I would have rather preferred Shreyas Iyer as the ODI captain, but they chose KL Rahul instead. I am following Rahul's performance for the past several years, and he has failed at both international level and in IPL. Ideally Shreyas or some of the other promising players such as Hardick, Ishan or Shubman could have been given the chance, but the selectors don't want to do that. Also, congratulations to Sanju Samson. He got included in the ODI squad. At least now his rabid fans would stop booing the Indian team whenever they play in Kerala.

They are trying to get him on a loan, and not trying to purchase him. So it is different. Ivan Perisic and Manor Solomon are currently injured and therefore Tottenham Hotspur is on backfoot now. They want Jota in their squad until Perisic and Solomon becomes ready to play again. I am not sure how Al Ittihad will react to this request. Anyway Jota is not part of the regular squad and he has so far played only 5 matches for Al Ittihad in the Saudi Professional League (played a few more matches in some of the other tournaments such as the Arab Club Champions Cup).

Still 6 places and one more for the interconfederation playoffs is a great advantage to the big teams, keep in mind that even at their current level Brazil is 6th and by sheer talent pool they can't do far worse in a long tournament, they will qualify The real fight will be for the 6th and 7th place between Venezuela, Peru, Chile and Paraguay
Venezuela is in a comfortable position at the moment. They are at the 4th place in points table, with 9 points from 6 matches. So far they have lost only one match (vs Colombia). But the same can't be said about Peru. They are in a perilous situation with 2 points from 6 matches (4 losses, 2 draws). Paraguay and Chile are in slightly better position. Anyway, each of the teams will be playing a total of 18 matches in this tournament, and so far only one-third of the matches have been completed. So there is plenty of time for various teams to catch up.

Bangladesh will definitely be able to perform well on the second day of the second innings. Meanwhile, Nazmul Hasan Shanta and Mushfiqur Rahim pair is very strong as they have spent the night at the end of the day, so the tired body has regained strength. Of course, like today's new day, they will perform beautifully, Mushfiqur Rahim and Nazmul Hasan Shanto will perform well, it is a lot of hope from Bangladesh. As the first innings New Zealand team is not much ahead. Our hope is that if the Bangladesh team can perform well today, then if they can collect more runs in the second innings, they will definitely be able to keep the New Zealand team under pressure. Because Bangladesh's bowling is also very strong. Bangladesh is in a very comfortable position, with a lead of 205 runs with 7 wickets remaining. If they can add another 90-100 runs, then there is no chance for New Zealand win. The 4th wicket partnership between Mushfiqur Rahim and Najmul Hossain Shanto has so far added 96 runs, as once again the New Zealand spinners failed to do their job (Ajaz Patel and Ish Sodhi). Perhaps the New Zealand captain need to give more spells to his pacers (Tim Southee and Kyle Jamieson), as the slow bowlers are not doing their job. But then the conditions are not very helpful.

Congratulations to Uganda for their convincing victory over Rwanda! With Rwanda getting all out for just 65 runs, Uganda's effective bowling played an attacking role in the match. Securing a 9-wicket win and a total of 5 wins out of 6 matches, Uganda has rightfully qualified for the T20 World Cup 2024. Well done! 🎉🏏
Zimbabwe's fortunes have burned and Uganda's fortunes have opened. This is truly a historic achievement for Uganda in the world of cricket. Uganda reached the milestone by winning five of their six matches in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup Africa Qualifiers. Their nine-wicket victory over Rwanda ensured their place among the top two teams in the tournament, as well as their qualification for the 2024 T20 World Cup. Uganda joins Namibia as Africa's representative for the ICC Men's Twenty20 World Cup 2024. This edition of the tournament will have a total of 20 teams and will be hosted in USA and West Indies. And remember that Uganda has achieved all this despite being allocated with less than 1% of the funds that Zimbabwe receive every year. And this is why I always say that full member status should not be permanent. Zimbabwe doesn't deserve the full member status (and the additional funding that comes along with it), because they are unable to win matches against even mid-tier associate nations. That funding should be rather provided to hard-working nations such as Uganda who have made rapid progress in international cricket recently.

Namibia's batting is weak? I don't think so. Their batting is much stronger than all other teams. They reached the target of 133 runs against Zimbabwe in just 14.4 overs. They set a huge target of 208 against Rwanda. Against Kenya, Nigeria and Uganda each, Namibia's players performed well. They easily reached the goal of victory. But we still don't know if this team can do well against teams like Bangladesh or Afghanistan. Namibia should try to organize series against Bangladesh and Afghanistan before the World Cup. In this they will get proof of their ability.
Against weak teams like Nigeria, Rwanda and Tanzania, their batsmen always perform well. But when they play against stronger teams they sometimes suffer batting collapse. Last time when they played in the T20 World Cup, they missed the qualification to super-12 after performing very well initially. Once again, it was the batsmen who failed them. The same thing happened when Karnataka toured Namibia a few months back. Anyway, their batsmen are quite young and there is still plenty of room for improvement.

Being a Pakistani we really miss Shoaib Akhtar. He was a good bowler. I remember that match in which he bowled and the batsman was Sourav Ganguly and Shoaib Akhtar Broke the Ribs of him.
Broke his ribs? Are you actually making fun of a cricketer getting hurt badly by another cricketer? If you are, you are messed up in the head. If not, I guess I misunderstood what you wrote. Also, Akhtar is a legendary bowler for sure, but he did get destroyed by batsmen like Tendulkar etc now and then. Akhtar, at his peak was almost unplayable. I still remember his first test match against India. That was played at the Eden Gardens in 1999. In the first innings, Akhtar ended up with 4 wickets, including those of Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid and VVS Laxman. All of them got clean bowled and one of the Indian batsmen told media that it was very difficult to even see the ball when he is bowling. He picked another 4 wickets in the second innings (Rahul Dravid, Nayan Mongia, Anil Kumble and Venkatesh Prasad) to give Pakistan a rare test victory against India in that country.

ICC has been presented with a few tough questions after the conclusion of the 2022–23 ICC Men's T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier. Namibia and Uganda finished as the top teams, while Zimbabwe ended up at the second position. And as per the fund allocation finalized by ICC, Zimbabwe is scheduled to receive $17.64 million per year from 2024 onwards, while Namibia will receive around 2% of that amount. Uganda will receive even less. Given the performance of these three teams, I am not sure how ICC can justify this allocation.

Ah yeah, you're right. I thought there were only 6 spots now, but yeah, they kept the 0.5 slot.
Brazil might still not qualify by being 7th though, if they lose that game as well...
Honestly, I believe that Brazil may end up in top-4 once the CONMEBOL qualifiers finish. If by some chance they end up as 7th team in the tournament, then they need to play the Inter-confederation play-offs. But at this point we doesn't know who will be their opponents. As of now, FIFA hasn't revealed the draw for the playoffs. That will be publicized only after the first round qualifiers are completed. Anyway, irrespective of whether they are going to qualify or not, things are not looking rosy for the Brazilian team.

Lol not at all, i wasn't trolling or implying any kind of sarcasm in my statement. Having said that I won't discount the brain fade moment in cricket as it's a funny game.
I believe that SENA spinners are not equipped to perform when it's a competitive spin track. Even Warnie underperformed in the subcontinent throughout his career (especially against India) because of this very reason. When SENA spinners play in sub-continent, it is always against sub-continental teams such as India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Because no one arranges matches between two SENA nations in sub-continent pitches. And no one plays spin bowling better than sub-continental batsmen. And this maybe one of the reasons why SENA spinners such as Warne always underperformed in the subcontinent. Anyway, back then Australia had quite a few quality spinners. Apart from Shane Warne, they also had Stuart MacGill and Brad Hogg.

Today 21st Match of Namibia vs Nigeria team has already started.Nigeria team came out to bat first and scored 93 runs in 19.2 overs. Namibia The team will easily win this match. The Nigeria team batsmen were under a lot of pressure to give a good performance on the Namibia team bowling line. The Namibia team now came to the field to bat. They scored 48 runs in 7 overs. They have lost 1 wicket so far. Namibia team need 46 runs from 78 balls to win this match. Namibia finishes with 6 wins from 6 matches and once again proved that they are the second strongest team in African continent after South Africa. And remember that they were playing without one of their key players (Ruben Trumpelmann). David Wiese was superb in today's match, and returned figures of 4-1-10-2. Entry of experienced players such as Trumpelmann and Wiese has transformed the Namibian team. They need to work on the batting now. Batting still looks a bit weak of now. That said, Michael van Lingen and Nikolaas Davin did a decent job in this tournament.

Oil and gas are the daily necessities of people which every family needs because now a family has 1-2 cars and motorcycles which are completely dependent on oil and gas. And countries that depend on other countries for oil and gas have a lot of effect on the price of oil and gas. On the one hand, the rate of inflection of money has increased, along with the increase in oil/gas prices, the countries are in a lot of trouble and have created a huge pressure on the common people. One of the reasons for the high inflation is the rising cost of crude oil. From mid-2014 to end of 2020, crude oil prices remained at around $50 per barrel. But that changed with the election of Joe Biden as the POTUS. As a result of his policies (cancelling of Keystone XL pipeline, ban on fracking.etc), there was an immediate spike in crude prices. And then the Russo-Ukrainian war happened and the prices went up even more. Now the Israel vs Hamas war is the latest political factor which is resulting in higher crude oil prices.

Confirmed - Uganda has qualified for the world cup (first time ever for them), while Zimbabwe is out. All the 20 participants for the 2024 World Cup are now confirmed. At this point, India is no.1 ranked team as per the ICC (and that too by a considerable distance), and therefore they will be the favorites to lift the trophy. But then, the conditions are not favorable as the matches will be held in West Indies and the United States. Anyway, the IPL of 2024 will serve as a warmup tournament before the World Cup.

✂✂✂✂ I'm surprised to see Ajaz Patel struggling again. What do you think New Zealand needs to do to turn things around?
If he can't take wickets even with such helpful conditions, then I am sorry to say that he doesn't deserve a place in the team. The same goes for Ish Sodhi as well. Bangladeshi spinners are bowling well and taking wickets at crucial intervals, while for New Zealand it is part-timer Glenn Phillips who is doing that role instead of Sodhi and Patel. Another 100-120 runs and this match will slip out of the gasp for New Zealand. Losing to a team like Bangladesh doesn't augurs well for the Kiwis, irrespective of the conditions.

Rwanda bowled out for just 65 against Uganda. Now it is just a matter of formality. Uganda is going to win this match and that means that they will qualify for the 2024 T20 World Cup from the African qualifier. Namibia and Uganda are the two teams who are going to qualify, while Zimbabwe becomes the only full member nation to not to feature in this tournament. BTW, Zimbabwe is off to a massive score in their match against Kenya. They are 182/2 after 16.2 overs, with Sikandar Raza making 82 from 48 balls and Sean Williams batting at 52 from 23 balls.

Germany has seen its best players retiring too and the new generation needs a bit of time to be able to compete with the other nations. Same goes for Italy and Spain. The only difference is that Spain was able to recover its form fast while Italy and Germany need more time. The regeneration phase is longer in these nations. Belgium was classed first mainly because of the players they had but they weren't so impressive in picking a World Cup for example. For Greece, like any other country, they got a shot and were successful but it was just a shot. It is like Porto winning Champions League with Mourinho long time ago.
Players come and go all the time. France recovered pretty well from the retirement of Thierry Henry, Nicolas Anelka and Franck Ribéry. The same can be said about England after the departure of Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard and Wayne Rooney. The problem with Germany is that they don't have younger players coming through the ranks. The quality of the national league (Bundesliga) is declining and that maybe one of the reasons. We can't also ignore the demographics. Germany is a rapidly ageing country.
