2021  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC Fight Night & Main Event: Sportsbet.io Predictions & discussion on: December 20, 2022, 12:10:47 PM
Again, the rules "dont let judges decide your faith" worked. I also believe that Gordon won that fight, but he should have done more against UFC future cash cow. Judges that evening made a decision of not who won that fight, but who will sell more PPV in future. And Pimblett with growing popularity and 3-0 in UFC looked much better than Gordon with 7-4. With all that in-fight taunts Pimblett made a overall good impression on judges, and the scales dropped lowered to his side.
I can hear your criticism from that 7-4 score that must of been from that one judge(Crosby) Ariel has been talking about from a clip here:
BREAKING! UFC Judge EXPOSED, Accused of Fixing Fights ! Dana White GOES OFF after UFC 282.. - Young 'n Faded MMA Society
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=085FvJTgdIk
The entire interview can be viewed here and they explain what they suspect the scoring should have been:

Scorecards and reactions on twitter post fight from big names in the game can be seen here:

I always knew that there are a lot of behind the scene games in UFC. The link that you have posted does not fully prove that there are fixed fights in UFC, but it proves that UFC is more oriented in money than in fair competition. Btw, you can search google for Seth Petruzelli interview. He says that UFC offered him money and asked no to use takedown or wrestling skills against Kimbo Slice, because Slice was a newbie in wrestling and a boxer (street boxer) primary. UFC did not want Slice to lose, wanted to make him a series of wins, to face heavyweight champ and make huge PPV sales. To bad Seth was able to TKO Slice instead of submitting him:D
There has always been some behind the scenes things going on in this fighting association going on from the very beginning so no surprise on what has come out as of late with it and a gambling controversy that was hard to ignore since it was banned in a region of North America a while ago because of it.
The video about how all this all transpired a few months ago:
The UFC has a MAJOR Gambling Problem | James Krause is only the beginning,,
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ltYTPauj_k4&list=WL&index=3

This was all because of a coach of a fighter in the UFC who blatantly confessed to betting on fights and even on the ones of his own fighter.
He had a discord server which gave out predictions on fights in the UFC for a subscription fee.
Very bad stuff to be involved with.

G2 with the clean win against Team Liquid it's been a while since they got a trophy and I hope they can keep things going as there's the IEM Katowice next year.

Later today the dota qualifiers will resume and unfortunately, there's not a lot of lines available to choose from but I'll take Neon Esports @1.95 vs Spawn, Neon has the better form while Spawn has higher ranked players which makes them the slight favorites.
IEM Katowice invites for the tournament were announced just yesterday with the teams that will make an appearance:

https://www.hltv.org/news/35277/iem-katowice-2023-teams-decided

Noticed Spawn is playing a match today currently against Lilgun so I would say you won your bet on this match in the DPC Sea Tour 1 right?

There were three matches this past weekend which were stand outs in anyone's opinion:
Jacksonville where they ran it all the way back for a TD to win the game.
Las Vegas for the very last play of the game New England had possession but gave it away and Raiders ran it in for a TD for the win.
And of course the Vikings as you had mentioned in Minnesota where they were down 33 points to bring it all the way back to win.

Christmas eve and day have matches being played in the NFL so it should be a festive holiday season for all American Football fans.

^^
Those Vikings came back from being down 33-0 in the middle of the third quarter to beat the Colts.
It was the biggest comeback in NFL history and it was something to behold as Cousins the Minnesota quarterback didn't even realize until a reporter mentioned it to him right before doing the post game interview.

Another bet that you won! The Browns match ended 13-3 so the under was there. Baltimore are struggling without their first string QB Lamar.

Wasn't it strange to have games playing on a Saturday? I am thinking it is because of the holidays so they had to squeeze in as many as they could before next weekend.

The Blast playoffs starts later today and i'm surprised that Navi is slightly favored in this match when they still look shaky. Team Liquid on the other hand is performing better compared to Navi even though they're in a similar position they're able to grab at least a map in that one losing series. I already placed my bet on Team Liquid@ 2.04 since they're the value pick and Navi nearly lost against Heroic who are playing with a stand-in.
Very good choice on Team Liquid taking it yesterday @ralle14 !
I had them too on all my betslips so that is a solid win.

But today OG is playing them for a place in the semi-finals and they took the first map. On the second map it looks like they made some adjustments and are now on their way to winning it so to tie it up. Anibus as the decider map. It was interesting to see the stats on this map actually.
There were some glitches that were not fixed before putting it into the map pool that were resolved with an update but they didn't apply it for this tournament:
"On Anubis, several spots where grenades and guns could fall through the ground have been addressed, along with various clippings that caused issues with throwing grenades and players getting stuck — the arch leading to the B bombsite among the most notable.
These changes are not expected to come into play at the ongoing BLAST Premier World Final, which is now heading into the semi-finals. The tournament runs on an old patch, dating back to even before the next-to-last update that disabled so-called 'magic' molotovs on Tuesday."

@ralle14
Kyler Murray couldn't get those props of touchdowns because he went down right at the start of the game.
Thanks for filling me in there, and it's unfortunate for the Cards as it looks like he'll be out for the rest of the season and maybe even longer.

Also good to see that the TNF giveaway is back this week and the under might be the play for this game when the Niners' defense is on a roll and held the Bucs within 7 points.
You were on point with your predictions with the 49ers holding their opponents to make it a low scoring game.
The San Francisco 49ers quarterback is holding his own against the likes of Tom Brady and now Geno Smith who was ranked #1 in the league for passing completions.
https://www.seattletimes.com/sports/seahawks/geno-smith-closing-in-on-rare-season-completing-70-of-his-passes-for-seahawks

So that is twice in a row for this rookie quarterback who surprisingly has done very well to take on the role after Jimmy Garoppolo was injured.
They managed to clinch their division with the win last night.

2032  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Testimonial during cryptocurrency hearing -Ben McKenzie Crypto is a ponzi scheme on: December 16, 2022, 03:06:20 AM
I watched a debate a few months back between a teacher and a politician (I think) on whether trans people should be respected for the gender they wish to express as. I noticed both sides of the argument were awful because neither of them were knew the subject matter (neither had studied it well, neither were doctors or someone in a profession to know). I did not get those three minutes back and my opinion didn't change.

The same should be the case here. If you're listening to an actor over whether to invest in crypto or not, you're definitely listening to the wrong person for making your financial decisions. There's enough creatives I've known to be paid a royalty after producing something so much that regardless of how niche it is they've no need to make investments.
Of course, but these people are in a committee meeting on regulation of the entire industry. That would be much different then a rebuttal between a teacher and politician because that is just casual conversation and not where they can put laws into place where it shapes where things go from here for anyone who even touches a satoshi when it comes to taxes and your finances.

This actor even says he is in an industry where he is paid to lie for a living.
So take that as you will.

He wrote a book about his opinion of cryptocurrencies named Easy Money: Cryptocurrency, Casino Capitalism and the Golden Age of Fraud. beforehand and saw this very instance coming to the crypto industry as a whole sooner or later.

Your thoughts, because this is just day two and with the SEC suing these type of celebrities in the past also currently for endorsing these failed companies and projects. There are bound to be more just like Ben McKenzie coming into these proceedings and voice their thoughts about crypto economy.

Also yes, I have seen talk of source 2 coming with all the work that they have put into it over the course of the years they have been announcing it's arrival to the tournament circuit.

It may worth mentioning that Team Principal are being "rotated" these days Grin
* Jost Capito leaves Williams
* Andreas Seidl goes from McLaren to Sauber (Alfa Romeo, future Audi), taking the place freed by Fred Vasseur
* McLaren promotes Andrea Stella as Team Principal

I don't know who will go to Williams, but I am not even be too surprised to see Mattia Binotto's name on the list of possible options
Pretty nice video from The Race channel about the rapid movements in the roles of all those teams you have just mentioned:

For anyone who missed the match yesterday with the official introduction of this Valorant type map according to Somedieyoung (SDY) at the beginning of this youtube video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7hII7_VOiBw

It is a beautiful map I must say and am quite impressed on how fluid Team Liquid were playing on it during competitive play.
They must have been practicing alot on the offseason to know where each and every hiding hole was while playing Outsiders.

Some very nice looking betslips up above guys!

Hope you all managed to get some great wins on your betslips with a France win because last WC champions are looking sharp.

Do you really thing that Karim Benzema will make an appearance in the finals against Argentina?
https://www.skysports.com/watch/video/sports/football/12768365/will-karim-benzema-make-a-shock-return-in-the-world-cup-final

If so then we will see seven of the greatest players the beautiful game has to offer.
Those being Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe, Lautaro Martínez, Paulo Dybala, Olivier Giroud, Angel Di Maria and of course Karim Benzema if he does infact make it infront of the crowd for the final on Sunday.
