Does someone know why the Chinese exchanges are constantly higher than any others?

it is very difficult to deposits cash, so they have to pay the premium price.

get used to it.

This is looking like a 2012 after 2011 bubble, while the infrastructure was not there for the last year valuation ($1200 bubble ) I thought somehow the price will hold for it to catch up..... but it seems that I was really wrong.

I also thought that there will be a bubble between May and the half of June so I kept holding, I bought most of my coins between $10-100 and did cash just small amount of it at the December bubble, bet hell I wont be greedy and watch the price fall even further, I sold Half of my holdings yesterday, This will give me a free couple of years vacation...

Good luck with that (seems a bit short sighted to plan a 2 year vacation when BTC is going to go up a lot in the next few months), and let us know, in a couple of years (or even in six months) how you then feel about deciding to take that vacation with your BTC revenues.  Smiley

this is how I see your comment:

https://i.imgur.com/7hwdkuO.png

A guy does NOT need to be overly optimistic to believe that your selling below $600 now for a two year plan to spend it seems pretty short sighted... NOW on the other hand, if the price does NOT go above $600 in the coming 6 months, then I will applaud your foresight and/or luck.

Until then, I believe that the odds are greatly against what you did.  The odds seem much better to cash out smaller amounts slowly, rather than cashing out 2 years worth at this point with a market that will soon be going up (in less than 6 months).  In other words, if is very likely that we will be seeing $800 within the next 6 months... but my investment does NOT count on it.. b/c I am likely to be in for a couple more years b/c I sense that BTC is amongst one of the better places to put your money, at the moment.

Where are you going to put your cashed out funds in the coming two years to preserve its value?  IN the stock market?  IN gold?  In silver?  in a bank account? under your mattress?  Do you even have a plan?  I hope so.

you should think and talk only about your investment, each Bitcoin I own is worth $-400 , yes -400 this means that each Bitcoin has already paid $400 from trading... I bought most of my coins  between 10-100 so I already made 60 times what I invested (worst case scenario)when I sold, in fact with the trading profits I paid all my mortgages and debts, I resigned my daily job and now I will enjoy my 2 years of vacations.... I will make sure to not be worried and only enjoy with my small family, otherwise I still hold many coins, so if the next bubble will hit I will be a happy man.... in other words I am trying to not be a greedy bastard.

meanwhile, this is what I am up to:

. but you do NOT really  have much of a plan for where you are going

wtf? he is running to the hills, why so annoying?

morrowind, elder scrolls?

get a life.

2030  Bitcoin / Project Development / Crowdfunding the first public btc library in a region hit by devastating floods on: June 13, 2014, 04:35:07 PM
The idea is to rebuild new public library in a region that two weeks ago was hit by devastating floods and raise awareness about bitcoin in this region, especially among the young. The library is located in Bosnia, Doboj. Doboj is a city in northern Bosnia and Herzegovina, country which was devastated by a civil war in the nineties.

The floods that happened two weeks ago have destroyed local economy, cultural and educational institutions and city infrastructure, not to mention residential areas.

http://vimeo.com/96696699

The library lost all of its book collection, furniture, computers. Most of the users of the library were children of the age from 14 to 18 years. There are more than 300 members of the library and they don’t pay any membership. Library is open 5 days a week and have one employee who is financed by the local public gymnasium.

Needless to say that there are not enough funds in the local budget. Reasons are many, one of them incompetent and corrupted local government. Because of that we will bypass government agencies and do everything by ourselves.

I will leave if needed contact of the person in charge of the library. She is desperate in finding some funds and persons that are willing to help. She is editor in chief of a local newspaper for high school students, and she is willing to promote bitcoin with a series of articles.

I will control the funding address. I already did some similar projects in this region with success, but this time I need help from international community.

Thank you for your attention.

2032  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - Secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency on: June 13, 2014, 12:58:47 AM
Hey guys,

I installed the new 11 june win64 binaries(just copy pasted over my old ones, like I mostly do) and I try to start bitmonerod to sync the network, but it seems like it never syncs, and on top of that, it SRSLY hang my network bandwith, like 90%. what is wrong?

Can you pastebin the output from the daemon?
im sry u mean the .txt file? its mostly this"Sync data returned unknown top block: 81531 -> 81902" and keeps going on.... the real problem is it hangs my network! I was successfully using the last edition like 12 hours ago! and I cant find the old version of exe anymore because OP updated it... :/

That means it's catching up - it WILL use all the available bandwidth till its caught up, there's no rate-limiting on it.

Remember: Monero is still alpha-level software and is not ready for widespread use or in situations where bandwidth is limited. A lightweight SPV-style client will only happen in the future once we've made everything a lot more robust and stable and workable:)

I have been following monero since its launch. This bitmonerod behavior is not normal, after the update it got buged. I will let it update, but filling up an entire 30/2,5 vdsl line for some 12 hours worth of synching bytes is not normal. It is the first time the exe behaves like that. Plz do fix asap.

edit: apparently it synced, but leaving the bitmonerod open appears to have detrimental effect on the network, im not sure whether this was the case before.

yes, my connection is dying if I leave bitmonerod open when syncing. even my btc miners go offline.  Undecided

is a price difference between exchanges normal?  Ive noticed that huobi always seems to be 10-15$USD above Stamp...

makes sense. no fiat deposits in china means price going up.

Why is Bitstamp lower than even BTC-E?

my guess is that somebody is cashing out his litecoins.
