Real Madrid managed to beat Real Sociedad with a landslide score of 4-1. And that took them away from Sevilla who grabbed a draw. Two first-half goals from Camavinga and Modric, as well as two second-half goals from Benzema and Asensio ensured they took the maximum. Now they are 8 points ahead of Sevilla, while making it difficult for Sevilla to catch up with their points.

8 points behind and 11 matces remaining do you think Sevilla can do something? for me no , as I said before Real Madrid have already locked the title this season. Madrid will be more focused on the Champions League in the coming days and for the local league don't be surprised Madrid draw in the next match there's a chance they threw away some matches.

@Dewi Aries that was some impressive performance from Real Madrid, and if they perform like this against PSG then we may just see one of the best champions league match of the season. Furthermore you maybe correct because they’ll rest their key player’s before the champions league fixture, and that may allow their opponent to try and snatch a draw or defeat them, but even then it’ll be difficult for Sevilla to now catch up.

I assume that most of the people will prefer to watch the Bayern Munich - Bayer Leverkusen match in the Bundesliga today. Whatever the result will be, I'm confident about one thing that we will watch a delightful and high-scoring match. Both of these teams are very capable of scoring more than one goal in a match. Because of this, my priority will be betting on both teams to score. And I might bet on a Bayern Munich win by a one goal difference too. But I would bet a small amount of money on the latter as it is harder to happen.
Same here, both to score on all my tickets and on some even better paying both to score and over 2.5. Should be a game full of goals and I hope Bayer will have enough power to upset favored Bayern and take all three points. It is sort of boring always watching Bavarians take the title way before league ends.

@Trofo I agree with your bet as this match should definitely have lots of goals scored by both the teams, but will Bayern lose that’s difficult to happen in my personal opinion. Lastly it’s indeed frustrating to see them win it easily, but once Lewandowski leaves we will see some more competition for Bayern, but till then Bayern is going to continue winning it.

Today's going to be yet another opportunity for Jose Mourinho's side to redeem themselves at the Stadio Olimpico as they prepare themselves to meet Atlanta. After an unimpressive performance in their last four games, managing a late win against against Spezia with a lone goal from Tammy Abraham, they will need more than a stroke of luck to help them against Atlanta.
Sitting at the 5th spot in the Serie A, Atlanta are a very stubborn and aggressive side and have a penchant for producing goals both on home soil and away. Let's hope for the best in this game but I see a 2.5 in this game.

@Alisha-k I had high hopes from Mourinho this season and he’s impressed me so far by getting Roma in top 6, and a win against Atlanta can further boost their morale. Also I’m expecting an entertaining game as both sides needs those 3 points, and hence we should see some attacking football, and in the end I feel that it’ll be Roma who wins this fixture.

Boreham Wood is not even a League Two team, National League.  Grin
Oh yes you are correct, winner of national league is getting promoted to League Two Smiley
Coming this far in FA Cup and knocking out top Championship club Bournemouth was sensational, and I think they are all happy in club with this result.
Maybe some players will sign contract with bigger clubs at the end of this season.

@notblox1 while their journey has ended we need to discuss about the big match and surprisingly no one brought it here, I’m talking about Manchester City vs Manchester United. Also while many will say City should win it easily, but Manchester United can be unpredictable and they can definitely stun City if they play well, so my prediction is Manchester United winning by 2 - 1, lastly leave your predictions below and do you’ll believe that Manchester United can defeat City?.

Anyway, these are my picks for match day 28:  Che Adams, Mohamed Salah, Phil Foden, Joseph Willock, Ivan Toney, Harry Kane and Bukayo Saka.  I really feel something extra special about this one.  Grin  Lezzz effin gooo!
$10k coming your way 100% get ready for early celebration Grin
I didn't share all my picks for goal scorers because I dont' remember them all and I don't want someone else to copy all my picks and get zero correctly like I did last time Wink

@tokeweed out of your selection I would personally expect Salah, Foden, Kane to score, but rest four I’m not sure will score so good luck for your predictions. @notblox1 in that case you should have shared your picks so we would have known exactly which ones to avoid since they were selected by you Smiley, and later do post how many right you got because I’m sure that it’ll be better than the previous round.

I think the last thing I would like to see are irrelevant ads and annoying pop-ups.
And we cannot forget that they have also a database of users (email addresses, IPs etc) - it still has some value but I hope they will not sell it.

@PawGo few year’s back there were ads on Freebitco, but last I remember they decided to make it an ad free site and the reasons are written somewhere here, so if one wants to find that post then they can dig deep and find it.

Furthermore I’m not sure why people assume Freebitco is not earning well, because now they’re more than a faucet site, now they have their own sports bets, plus fun token and new casinos have been launched by them, hence it’s fair to assume that they’re doing very well and will never revert to any shady tactics like the ones you mentioned above.

Interesting match between Sheffield Utd vs Nottingham Forest this because both of teams aiming finish at play off zone and Sheffield Utd position will shift Luton who is ranked 6th if they can win the match and i think they have good opportunity to get 3 points because Sheffield performance very good lately with only 1 lose from 10 matches so i personally will bet for Sheffield win in this match

@bering it looks like it’ll be an evenly matched contest as both the teams have shown decent performances lately, and while Sheffield lost on the weekend Nottingham won their game, and with only two points the difference between these two clubs it’s hard to say who’ll win. Also while on paper Sheffield looks the favourites, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Nottingham sprung a surprise and defeated them as history is on their side when it comes to facing off against Sheffield.
2028  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - 2nd Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: March 04, 2022, 07:37:13 AM
Almost every day we see changes in the points table. Because, the point difference between the teams is very small. So if a team does not win, their position on the table falls behind.
Now at the top of the table is Werder Bremen. They are playing consistently well. So now they are at the top of the table. However, Schalke and Hamburg are lagging behind. They are now 4 points behind Werder Bremen. Pauli and Darmstadt are now just 1 point behind Werder. So when Werder loses points in a match, these two teams are ready to remove Werder from the top spot.
The second bundles liga is where the competition exist unlike the first bundles liga where they left it all to Bayern, The chances of been replaced is very large so each team at the top will struggle hard to win at every opportunity knowing too well their position on the table is open to replacement. Werder is currently occupying the top but i hope to see Darmastadit do some replacement within the week if Werder loses against Dynamo or gets a draw.
The competition in Bundesliga 2 is interesting to me and I always follow them up every week play. Wonder bremen is currently leading the league but they are not comfortable because if they make a slight mistake anything could happen to them.
I have honestly missed Schaker 04 and Wender bremen in the bundesliga 1, I will like them to join in the next season. I think I enjoy their football more than what the likes of stuttgart and Hertha Berlin are giving us.

@kro55 that’s the real beauty of this league as no team is guaranteed to walk away with the league title, and each week there’s intense competition for the top spot. Also Werder looks in fine form, but they only have one point lead and there’s no room for any slip ups now which only makes this league more interesting to watch, and I further believe that there will be more ups and down seen on the league table, and probably in the last match of the season will we know who won the title.
2029  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: March 04, 2022, 03:42:26 AM
I do not think that Nice has any chance of getting even a draw. PSG is getting ready for champions league, and we all know how important that is for them. If they just leave their players out to get rested, that would be harder because they are not too tired anyway and players would lose match sharpness if they miss this game.

Maybe Messi would, since he is a bit older but Mbappe is healthy and young so he will play and even him alone makes all the difference. I believe that PSG doesn't really feel not favorites to win against any team. Nice could be third, and they could be doing well in the league but that is not against PSG, that's just too much of a difference.

@beerlover normally a team is expected to rest all it’s key player’s before a big champions league game, and in this case PSG has a huge lead over other teams, hence I feel that they should rest their entire playing 11 to keep them fit and injury free to play against Real Madrid. Also Nice should try and attack right from the start, because PSG will be without most of it’s key player’s hence this is the best time to beat them and gain 3 valuable points.

^  Very good form.   And I've recently been catching up with what's going on in the league and I'm surprised by how Arteta has brought life back to Arsenal.  I mean yeah I've been looking at the table and see them climb up and fight for the CL spots.  But never did I thought Arsenal would do well under Arteta.  He was somewhat a joke when he left Pep for Arsenal.

Anyway speaking of Pep...  Big match this weekend.  City vs United!  I feel like it's gonna be a draw at HT with United defending well at the first half then City breaks the defense and wins the match eventually.  HT/FT for City is at 3.95.  Not bad imho.  What do you guys think?

@tokeweed I too thought that Arteta would get sacked early on at Arsenal, but for whatever reason Arsenal bosses had faith in him and now their faith has been vindicated, and in coming year’s he can definitely transform them into serial title challengers. Also I expect a goal or two to be scored in the first half, and while City would be the favourites to score it I feel that Manchester United can surprise them on the counter, and hopefully go on to secure those 3 important points.

A panic sale in football! Roman Abramovich - Chelsea FC is for sale
And he give the profit to the victims of the war in Ukraine and to speed up the reconstruction of the country now and after the war. On the one hand, that's a really great move, but on the other hand, he may be panicking that his assets will be frozen, or is he being pushed into it? There is a lot of money, 1.8 billion euros. After almost 20 years and 20 titles, he has seen everything. So Champions League winners and five English championship titles. I hope an rich investor comes in and continues to do at least as well. Rumours: Todd Boehly is said to be interested. He is part owner of the L.A. Dodgers (baseball).

Are you sure that Roman Abramovich is selling Chelsea FC? As far as I remember, they wrote in the news that he handed over management to the board of trustees. Of course, the owners have influence on the clubs, but it seems to me that this event should not affect the team itself much. Chelsea FC is one of the strongest and should not move from this position due to a possible sale.

Abramovich has recently announced to sell Chelsea and now reportedly he has started negotiating with various parties to realize the sale, I think actually releasing Chelsea was not Abramovich desire but now he is urged to do so due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Chelsea, which has been ruled by Abramovich for almost 20 years, will reportedly only be sold for no less than 3 billion pounds and maybe in the near future we will see an official announcement from Chelsea regarding the transfer of ownership of the club.

I can’t believe how things have changed but yes it’s true he’s been forced to sell Chelsea, and it’s evidently clear that his hand is being forced due to the threat of sanctions. Lastly I feel this is a sad situation as he actually tried to broker peace, gave up the working control of the club and further gave up his claim on the huge loans owed to him, and which owner would do all this hence I hope that somehow he yet manages to retain Chelsea.

RESULTS:

Luton Town 2-3 Chelsea

Southampton 3-1 West Ham United

Liverpool 2-1 Norwich City

Chelsea had to win after coming back from a goal down twice. Southampton scored two late goals to beat West Ham. Liverpool beat a determined Norwich. The winners have moved on to the quarter-finals stage.

@JollyGood Chelsea are battling a nightmare situation off the pitch and the start they got on the pitch wasn’t any different, but thanks to Lukaku they managed to win the fixture. Also I believe they badly needed this victory as the off pitch issues were clearly bothering them, and now it’ll be interesting to see if they can continue to remain focus in their upcoming fixtures.
2033  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: March 03, 2022, 03:38:51 AM
This is really good with ICC increasing the Women's World Cup prize money. Slowly more importance is being given to the women's cricket. At times the women's cricket seems to be underrated. Proper funding is the only way through which it is possible to make good teams and players. Women's World Cup is scheduled for tomorrow and runs for a month. Any prediction on the winner, and I believe it is Australia to grab.

Increasing the prize money is a welcome step, but the ICC need to do more. They need to include more teams in the world cup. A competition with 8 teams (where all of them qualified as a result of their ranking and test status) can't be termed as a world cup. They need to expand the tournament to at least 12-14 teams. And another thing is that the qualification criteria is ridiculous. Thailand was on the top of the qualifier tournament points table, but the ICC denied them entry to the world cup saying that their ranking is too low.

I totally agree with Sithara007 here and I too believe that they should have included more teams to make this tournament more exciting. @romero121 indeed Australia is the favourite to win this tournament, but I hope other teams step up and not make it easy for them, besides them I feel England too are the favourites hence it might be one of these two teams that might win it.
2034  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: March 02, 2022, 12:50:17 PM
I never had the doubt that this T20 series would be a whitewash. Indian team has been performing exceptionally well under the captainship of Rohit Sharma. Not to forget some consistent and agressive batting from Shreyas Iyer too. Ravindra Jadeja has gained his lost form and Ishan Kishan also proved why he is now the highest paid player in IPL. Next ODI series with Srilanka and I hope that the India team performs in the same manner.
First, after a long time, India is back in form. More importantly, the top order players have been able to play well. That is why India has won every match. They were out of form for a long time. Because they were not in the form of top order batsmen. If India's top order is able to play well in the ODI series then maybe we will see the same result again. India will win all the matches.
-
If India's top order can play well, they have the ability to win by batting against any target. All the players on the team are very talented. They got a chance in the national team by proving their qualifications. In all the matches of the T20 series, we have seen the dominance of Indian batsmen. If they do not lose form again, India will win the Test series as usual.

India has always been the better batting side and they have always liked to chase. Only in recent times do we see India having really good fast bowlers and spinners. So now they are also comfortable depending. Batting has always been a great asset for Indian cricket and office leave the players can be out of form from time to time but that doesn't mean the batting of the whole team is not good.

Anyway, the batsmen seem to be in the form right now and problems seem to be solved for now.

I also feel one of the reason why team India now is performing better is because of the change in the coaching, and the freedom given by current captain Rohit to Iyer and Jadeja which is further giving them huge dividends. Lastly I feel that ex Indian captain Virat immediately needs to perform, or he’ll be out of the team became there’re so many talented player’s waiting to play in the playing 11.

No problem whatsoever with them winning the WTC title but if we look at closely without any bias then all system looks dodgy, having said that rules are same for every team. Some got better deal out of it and some missed out the opportunity so its part of the game.

I doubt if NZ is going to qualify in this cycle, they already played 3 series and won only 2 matches. The best they can do is play spoiler role for other parties.

SA should fancy there chances for the finals as they bring their A game against Australia (another tough series). Pak is in strong position as they are playing in subcontinent only. Aus also looking strong but they are facing Pak, Ind and India in subcontinent, which is not easy task. SL could also surprise us if they successfully draw the upcoming series against India. India need to play quality cricket and win most of their remaining fixture (7 out of 9) if they want to play finals again.

Newzealand is obviously going to have a really hard time defending their title and I don't see them being successful doing it. Because they have had a really bad start.

I thought Australia has a good chance but they have lots of games in sub-continent and away conditions and I don't see them doing too good in certain situations.

India seems to be a good choice for picking to be in the finals again. I am really hopeful about South Africa though, they have shown good performance and also a really strong test side.
Not just hard but close to zero chances for them.

This is current report for all the series.

NZ - 1 home series (SL)  and 2 away series (ENG + PAK). Eng hit the rock bottom but i think they will do okay from here. They need a miracle.

India's chances doesn't good because they need to win majority of their remaining games, even draw matches can ruin their chances but i would be very happy if proven wrong. (point system based on win %)

@JSRAW I’m frankly quiet surprised to see that NZ has very less chance of defending their title, but not surprised to see team India among the favourites to reach the finals. Also a key thing to consider here is that team India has dropped two non performing player’s, and this could either work for them or could be wrong move as those player’s could have played better in the home conditions what do you think of team India’s decision?.

My god, the Spursstill surprises me, when one thinks that they have already hit bottom or that this time they are going to fight for something important, they automatically take care of self-boycotting. how can you lose in the only tournament in which you had chances this year against a team from the second division
Actually I am not surprised that Spurs lost but I am surprised because it was Middlesbrough who beat them.
Middlesbrough in the FA cup this season has really been a pretty crazy team in my opinion.
In round 4 they beat United and now in round 5 they beat Spurs. The two highest caste clubs with quality players who are qualified and always at the top of the position table can be defeated by a club that can indeed be said to have improvised players who are always perched in the middle of the Championship League standings.
Middlesbrough is really something with all sorts of surprises Cheesy

I don’t think we should be surprised by Tottenham defeat, because Conte doesn’t believe his tactics are working, he doesn’t trust this squad and it’s starting to show. Furthermore a team like Middlesbrough sensed that Tottenham lacked the right mentality and the belief to win, and in the end they made sure that Spurs paid the price for lack of belief in themselves.

As some of you may have read, the "ground effect" is bringing back an old problem that was last seen in the 80s, the so-called "porpoising". When the car sucks itself too far to the ground due to the high speed and sits up. It will certainly be interesting to see which team can tune and reduce this better and at the same time make optimum use of the ground effect in the slow sections.

https://www.focus.de/sport/formel1/autos-huepfen-auf-der-geraden-formel-1-hat-neues-problem-unterschaetzt-porpoising-nacht-ein-bisschen-krank_id_59646297.html

https://www.formula1.com/en/latest/article.analysis-what-is-porpoising-and-why-is-it-causing-the-f1-teams-a-headache-at.6O93LlvFMyY81L9LfSutcS.html

Will be interesting which team can handle this at the best.
This shouldn't really be a big problem for them to handle. All they need is a bit more testing, and they could just reduce it based on the angles of the front wing and so forth, they could fail miserably for a while until they just get closer and closer and eventually will be able to find the optimum point.

I am not saying that it is "easy" but more like it is not difficult and takes time but could be done one way or another. That jumping back is not something you have to have, it is not something you are stuck with, adjust the car accordingly and lower the risk of jumping back up. It will be something no team would have by second race I imagine.

I do believe that some cars will face an issue due to this, but we’re in 2022 now so I believe an 80s problem can’t last for long, and as @RealMalatesta rightly said it’ll be sorted once they get a closer look. Furthermore dropping points can be costly for the teams over this issue, so let’s hope that they find a fix for this soon otherwise their title ambitions will take a hit.

Let's just deviate from Pakistan India seris which is not going to happen in a decade.
There is breaking news for PCB and cricket fans in Pakistan as Australia arrive in Pakistan for first tour in 24 years. Aussie captain after touch down in Pakistan saying 'I feel incredibly safe,'.
Tour will start with 3 match test series and first test is scheduled on 4th March 2022. Both teams are in good form. I rate Australia favorite for test format while Pakistan in T20 series as both have performed well in these formats.
This is a big history in Cricket. This series will surely help Pakistan build better infrastructure for cricket. Moreover we can expect more countries touring Pakistan in the coming months. Pakistan will give good security for the players and Pakistan people will be happy to watch a big series happening in the country after a long gap. As said Australia will have good chance on tests and T20 will be dominated by Pakistan.

If this tour goes pretty well then I think we will see a lot of other teams tour Pakistan pretty soon.

But the Pakistan government is going to have to make sure that the security is really good and no unexpected occurrence can happen. And this is going to be really good for Pakistan cricket and also for future PSL. I know that India is not going to tour Pakistan anytime soon but I would like the other Asian teams to tour Pakistan.

I believe we all will be keenly following this series, as it’ll be really interesting to see if Pakistan can dominate Australia in their home ground. Also as far as security is concerned I feel it’ll not be an issue, as both countries have checked all the preparations, and once this series ends successfully I feel that other countries will immediately express their interest to tour Pakistan.

RB Leipzig is in the quarterfinals. FIFA & UEFA suspend Russia from all competitions and the cooperation with the Russian sponsor "Gazprom" is terminated (Champions League, the national team competitions and the European Championship 2024 in Germany). Russia is excluded that is an extreme decision for the athletes. The national team of Russia and Russian clubs suspended from all international competitions because of the attack on Ukraine. This means, for example, RB Leipzig is in the quarterfinals of the Europa League.

Source: https://twitter.com/UEFA/status/1498354465845522433
Quote
UEFA has today decided to end its partnership with Gazprom across all competitions.

The decision is effective immediately and covers all existing agreements including the UEFA Champions League, UEFA national team competitions and UEFA EURO 2024.
I don't like how Russia invaded Ukraine and all the war going on, but why should Athletes suffer because of the stupid decisions by their President. It's already evident that most Russians don't even support the move by their very own President.

Anyway, I am happy for RB Leipzig. It's a second chance for them to redeem themselves in Europa after a disappointing UCL campaign.
I don't like war too but agree when the war must involve clueless players, Of course, it will make them frustrated. when I look Spartak team there are several players from France, Germany, Holland, Sweden where they aren't know anything. Of course, it will harm them and their family also.

That's the price to pay if a leader who doesn't know how to prosper their citizen is just thinking of showing his strength, what is done by UEFA as a show of solidarity to the people of Ukraine and also every sanctions given is expected to have an effect on Russia to stop the invasion even though I have seen tv shows that the sanctions are only effective at 30%.

So if someone bet Spartak Moscow in sportbook, what will happen on his bet?, is there refund, lost or continue bet to another game with same the same fund?.
It looks like it will be in the refund or voided count and all funds are returned to the bettor.

The shocking news due to Russia's invasion of Ukraine, one of the Russian teams that currently qualify for the knockout round of the UEFA Europe League must be disqualified from this tournament, I think it is too early for UEFA and FIFA to make a decision to tackle Spartak Moscow's ledge in the UEFA Europe League phase, by With this decision, it is certain that RB Leipzig will be the first team to qualify for the next round, but either this decision is final or it will be re-adjusted given the controversial decision.

@Jasad it’s not shocking at all because the sport bodies wanted to sent out a message and this was the only way to do it, but yea I agree I too feel bad for the athletes but there’s very little they can do except hope that the war ends soon and they’re allowed back to play in Europa, Champions League, World Cup etc in the long run.

Also if one has placed a bet on Russian league teams then they should expect a refund, however if the casino refuses to do that then make sure to start a scam accusation against them, but I believe that all genuine casinos will immediately be refunding the money for such bets.

Fortunately the first leg of Man United can draw at Atletico Madrid. One goal seems to be enough as a second leg provision in England. But after they only drew in the EPL they had to continue with a tough game before playing in ucl. They will face Man City and Tottenham. It will drain their energy. Rangnick certainly has to be careful if he does not want to fail at UCL because tomorrow is the determination they have to fall or continue.
I don't think they need to think about the distant matches, it's better that they focus on the closest matches. Because, if they think about a distant match, they will be burdened with it.
I hope Ralf Rangnick can rotate players to reduce their physical risk. Yes although it's risky because it's a big game. But it's not wrong if you want to try a new strategy, and hope that the players who are given the opportunity to perform optimally.

I personally feel that the home advantage should help Manchester United win this match, but Ralf will need to get his tactics right for the game. Furthermore I wouldn’t be surprised if he dropped Ronaldo for this match, and yes he’ll be heavily criticised for it, but I feel that he should take this gamble as it’s clear that he’s not happy with Ronaldo’s performances.
