2021  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: how to start trading with a very small amount on: September 11, 2017, 10:04:47 PM
Multiplying BTC is not easy but it is possible,
I was making some of my other BTC from Cryptopia, it is a nice platform and you can move BTC there quite easy.
Poloniex is the biggest one, it is probably he best one.

I like to trade small and to take small gain too,
be careful it is high risk and be ready for the market
I think this is the issue, multiplying your money is difficult but for some reason some users in the forum think that trading is an extremely easy thing to do, when in fact we know that cannot be the case, if you want to earn money then that means that someone else is losing money, and those that make great earnings in their trades are probably getting their earnings from dozens of people that are instead losing money.
2022  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTC, BCH, XMR and LTC will be the winner of China ICO ban on: September 11, 2017, 09:57:18 PM
you can see in announcement thread
new altcoin, much new project ico still open, and much ico succes too
and ETH price incraese again, so china ico ban not big effect, after china ico ban issue booming all coin down price, include youre write BTC, BCH, XMR and LTC

ICO ban from China affected the markets slightly and now everything seems to be back to normal, but that was expected to happen, the ones that are going to be really affected by this are icos and not cryptocurrencies that are very well established already, so I think we are yet to see the full effects of this decision taken by the Chinese government and I think we are going to have to wait some months and see how the ico market was affected by this decision.
2023  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin be replaced by another cryptocurrency? on: September 11, 2017, 09:54:18 PM
Anything can happen in cryptocurrency world  . any crypto can be replaced btcoin at any time. But it will be tough enough.
yes anything can happen but i think it is still not so easy. because currently bitcoin is the main crypto currency and still people like and give more preference to it as compare to any other altcoin. therefore i do not think that any other altcoin will have the power to overcome bitcoin so easily, i do do not think that it will happen in near future.
If something goes wrong with bitcoin and if the problem is cannot be solved by any solution then there is a lot of altcoins to choose from because they are all potential competitor of bitcoin and the only reason why they are not famous is because they don't have too much attention and volume but when bitcoin goes wrong then it is the best time for them.
I do not think that is the case, there is going to be a lot of turmoil if something happens to bitcoin, all cryptos besides bitcoin are priced in bitcoin, and you need bitcoin to buy it, if bitcoin disappeared then all of the sudden people holding those coins will be unable to sell them and the price is going to plummet, I think eventually a new coin will take the top spot but fortunes will be lost in the process.
2024  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin top 5000$ on: September 11, 2017, 09:47:55 PM
Hello!
I tend to just read the forum and not to join in but there was a question I really wanted to answer so... Here I am!
What do you think about the Goldman Sachs prediction of a 4800$ top where all will collapse? Sounds like a biblical prophecy but well, they have been quite accurate about bitcoin so far.
We are getting close to the target so... What do you think will happen?

I was thinking that regardless of the prediction, maybe the 5000$ will work as a hardcore mental barrier... And pop the bubble.

So, what are your thoughts?

PS: Unfortunately I cannot paste the link as it says it is suspicious... but you can find it on CNBC

Patience is the key my friend! In time all our dreams will be become true regardless of market correction and challenges. Bitcoin value will soon reach $10k not even $5k. 😁
I would not count on that, I think bitcoin is going to move sideways for most of the rest of the year and I will not be surprised if the same happened for the next year, there is simply not enough money to keep pushing the price even higher, so the most important thing at the moment is to not let our emotions rule over us and sell because you see other coins performing better than bitcoin.
2025  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in the moon!!! on: September 10, 2017, 03:47:58 PM
My prediction maybe was little rush, cuz i forgot to mentioned that when weekend start we have little drop on price, for some perfect opportunity to buy and sell on next week starts. Some do this and create good income. This is just the beginning for next price increase, someone did mentioned even over 10k, but whit this paste we could actually see this price by this year end.

By the end of this year, we are going to see bitcoins at 5k dollars or more or less. They are definitely increasing in price at very high rate but still they can’t make to 10k dollars before 2018 beginning. My prediction is that by the end of 2018, they will be touching 10k dollars easily. Good luck, all.
I am not so sure about that, a new fork is coming in November and that is too close to the end of the year and I think that fork has the strength to damage bitcoin a lot more than the bitcoin cash fork, so I will not be surprised that after that fork we saw a crash on bitcoin and that those prices lasted for a lot longer than we may have thought at first.
2026  Economy / Economics / Re: Can bitcoin improve the economy of a country? on: September 10, 2017, 03:42:50 PM
No, bitcoin can not improve the economy of the country because it is only an investment. This should be done by the government undertaking new actions to improve life in the country.
I disagree, bitcoin is a lot like gold, and in the era where the gold standard was well, the gold standard you saw the biggest growth in recorded history and it is not really a mystery, businessmen love stability and that is something that gold brought, so you could make business all over the world and you could know how much it was going to cost and the profits you were going to make, but that changed when governments cheated gold and their citizens, so in my opinion bitcoin can bring another golden age like that.
2027  Economy / Economics / Re: Which country would be the first to eliminate fiat and convert to crypto fully? on: September 10, 2017, 03:38:14 PM
The best bet to see a country to eliminate fiat and convert to crypto would be a small country. Because in their economy it could the most eay country that can implement it better than other. Remember, to install the euro, we needed about 10 years
This is something that I agree, we cannot expect that bitcoin is accepted in a country with millions of people, we need a test subject in order to see if bitcoin is going to work on a large scale, and a country with a small population seems like the best bet, so in my opinion a small country like isolated in an island will be the perfect place, however before that happens I think the issues with the fees needs to be resolved or no country is ever going to adopt bitcoin.
2028  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin a currency or asset? on: September 10, 2017, 03:34:32 PM
If we speak about the legal field, Bitcoin is more of an asset in most countries rather than a currency.
The law is always behind subjects like these, when the internet first appeared a new set of laws were needed since a lot of crimes were being committed online, bitcoin is no different, bitcoin is currency since it fits the bill perfectly, we could argue that there is nothing in the world more suited to be a currency than bitcoin, so if bitcoin is not a currency then nothing is.
2029  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO is officially banned in China !!! on: September 09, 2017, 02:27:04 AM
It was a matter of time, in fact I’m a little surprised that this did not happen before, maybe the Chinese are very busy on something else, even some member of the forum were asking for solutions about a way to stop or at least reduce the number of scam icos appearing in the forum and it seems that the Chinese government is going to help with that, since less money is going to flow to icos.
2030  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are the 3 thing you look for in an ICO? on: September 09, 2017, 02:23:49 AM
The 3 things I look for from ICO are that 1. profitable, 2. learn, 3. get token. that's the 3 things I love about ICO.
Since people are thinking in investing in icos it makes sense they are looking for something that makes them money but at the same time that is the most difficult thing to find, since there are many coins that are not worth a thing but that some pump groups decide to buy, and even if you invested in a coin without any technical merit you could earn money, but you could be left with the impression that you have some kind of great insight that you do not have, you were just lucky.
2031  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why some people prefer Bitcoin over fiat ? on: September 08, 2017, 04:00:24 AM
Bitcoin is being used widely in porn sites, gambling and drug dealing sectors. Is that why the btc made for ? I have seen a lot of members in this forum discussing about buying drugs, gambling and enjoying porn with bitcoin. Is not it a misuse of a currency ? Block chain tech is a awesome tech and btc is getting popular. I hate these misuses of precious btc. It hurts me. This will lead into unhealthy society along with unhealthy future generation.
It is because of the volatility of Bitcoin, tax free and decentralized. Bitcoin is more valuable than fiat that's why they see potential in using into it. But governments make a move on regulating local exchanges for like anti money laundering and also needs KYC when signing up they can hold suspicious transactions in an accounts too. And I am disgusted to those who are using Bitcoin in any illegal activities because they are the reason why governments implements strict regulations to users. These people also created negative reputation in Bitcoin. I hope the government can resolve that matter since innocent ones are affected too.
Governments will implement those measures even if people were using bitcoin for only good things, governments only care about money and control, so bitcoin is a top priority even if they do not confess it, they are terrified of it, they cannot control it, at best they can try to manipulate it but they are failing terribly at it so they are going to try to regulate it to death.
2032  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What services you wanna see with Bitcoin ? on: September 08, 2017, 03:57:23 AM
Movies ? gambling sites ? exchanges ? what kind of service you want to see involved with Bitcoin more ?
I really want to have a bitcoin ATM in my country where you can easily withdraw bitcoin from your e-wallet. And it could be great that malls will be accepting bitcoin where they can easily transact it like credit cards. And also in restaurants and school for tuition fees. By that time for sure bitcoin will be more popular and more people will love to have it. So the more demand, so is the price.
I would like your assistance in one matter. What do you mean by withdrawing bitcoins by ATMs. Bitcoin can be converted into fiat but we cannot have bitcoins in any physical form of its own.
I am looking forward to the use of bitcoins in all the services that we are currently availing in fiat.

He could mean two things, there are bitcoin ATM, I know that you can buy bitcoin with them but I do not know if you can sell it, the other scenario is that there are bitcoin debit cards, it is the same as any debit card that can be used internationally with the difference that it can be filled with bitcoins then when you go to any ATM you can withdraw in fiat or you can use it to buy products and services.
2033  Economy / Economics / Re: How long could bitcoin last? on: September 08, 2017, 03:51:14 AM
Price will always depend on its popularity, based on supply and demand not its existence. I do believe that Bitcoin can last long since it’s till gaining popularity, still gaining users and investors. It will likely stay for a while until a new digital currency dethrones. But that’s still a long way down the road. And it will not crash at a random time. If it did, there will be a rational explanation for it. It can be a discrepancy or an outside environs fucking up with it.
Yes. There seems no such sort of thing which can demolish the future of Bitcoins. But you never know what will happen next. Looking at the way how it is gaining popularity amongst investors, it will be unjust to say that Bitcoin holds a dark future. It is just a matter of time that will prove us otherwise.
Well, there is always a risk of bad things happening, like government attacks and internal conflicts involving developers and miners. However, due to its decentralized nature, it is very unlikely that governments will shut down Bitcoin.

Regarding internal conflicts, the worst thing that could happen would be another fork, in which case the market could decide which is the best.
The problem with forks is that it weakens bitcoin, a fork in any other open source project most of the time is a good thing since you get two different visions of a product, and while we get that with the forks, at the same time, that takes hash power away from bitcoin and also creates confusion among people about which coin to back with their support.
2034  Economy / Economics / Re: Next "dot-com bubble"? on: September 08, 2017, 03:47:17 AM
Dot.com and crypto is diffrent by my opinion,we have crashes almost every day on some shitico and shitcoins,in a case of shitcoins devs are developing new shitcoin i guess same happen with icp's with much more money, but few ico's wil bring his investors nice incomees and will disrupt industry
No one cares if a coin with a small market cap crashes, the top 10 coins have almost all the market cap so those crashes are completely irrelevant and only affect those poor souls that invested some money in them, but if bitcoin crashed almost all the market of cryptocurrencies is going to be affected since all alts are priced in bitcoin.
2035  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do I hold? on: September 07, 2017, 04:32:49 AM
I have recently took investing on poloniex serious. Ever since I've invested the alt coins have been down. Do the amount of coins I posses go up if I stay. Also, do I have to wait for the coins to go back to their original price that I bought fo in order to make a profit? What are the reasons to holding if prices are down? Thank-you.

Long term investment is really effective. Hold your coins because for sure in the future it will become more valuable. If we have a lot of patience we can generate mo re profit. Holding is really a great factor to earn big amount of profits.
Holding bitcoin for long time run, I think it is a good idea. Because bitcoin value is continuously increasing when time comes past. Hoping that this opportunity will never ends for now.

Bitcoin is an long term investment and you cannot expect to become rich with it overnight as to make money from it you should have patience and self discipline to hold it longer as price is going higher and if you hold for next 5 to 6 years then you will be making huge profits from it but if you are happy with price then you can sell some of it to collect the profits.
Yep! I don’t think so dealing with bitcoins is that hard or problematic. All depends on the investor and his/her nature. If one has big dreams and want a royal life, he/she should keep holding bitcoins for at least next 5 years. But if the person is satisfied with his/her financial condition, he/she can collect profits at every pump.
Yes! All decisions ultimately related to the nature and financial position of the traders. Bitcoins are so far the most easily handled crypto currency. There is nothing complicated in dealing with bitcoins, a simple strategy of holing them for long period can make you rich without any hard efforts. You just need to be patient with bitcoins.
How long you need to hold in order to become rich also has to do with how much bitcoin you have in store, if you have a low amount then you will need to be very patient since it is going to take a lot of time for you to become rich but if you have a good bankroll then the amount of time you are going to need to wait is going to be significantly reduced.
2036  Economy / Economics / Re: How to double your money using BTC? on: September 07, 2017, 04:29:46 AM
It is so old and yet so simple to understand.
Quoted one of the simple and yet genius ideas.

Quote
Simple, whatever you have buy Bitcoin(s) and deposit them in never before used addresses and forget about them for literally 6 long months/half a year

For me this is the best. But since I have been in the forum for a while it will be hard to stop myself from getting back and also from the exchange. All I can do is put some money in one address that my wife is holding and I cant get near to.  Grin And that will be sacrificial lamb for the bitcoin future.

I know what you mean, in theory it is easy to deposit bitcoin in an address and forget it about it, but when you are checking the forum almost everyday, and you look at the market cap every few hours then  following that advice is not as easy as it may seem at first, the only way will be to disconnect completely from bitcoin for that amount of time and that is something that not many people can do.
2037  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTC, BCH, XMR and LTC will be the winner of China ICO ban on: September 07, 2017, 04:23:27 AM
Discuss.
I say BTC, BCH, XMR and LTC will profit from this ICO ban in China when the dust has settled. Especially XMR.
ETH had decent volume on chinese exchanges, now they will try to compensate this, and my call is: XMR will join BTC and LTC on the chinese exchanges.

It is logical, but I dont think Crypto have anymore logic. We have now Paris Hilton investing in crypto. Nothing good will come out of it, for noone. We all got pulled in this shit.
To be honest I think that is a good thing, while it is obvious that Paris Hilton does not know anything about crypto, but we need to convince the average person to get into crypto, the same way that the average person in the US is holding stocks, we need that because it will bring a gigantic influx of money and with that the development of bitcoin will need to be accelerated in order to deal with the high demand.
2038  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin top 5000$ on: September 07, 2017, 04:19:00 AM
After all time high point, we've seen over than 15% drop in bitcoin. The price declined very sharply which worried most of us. I still think this is only a correction rather than a market crash. It will get better soon.
The price went back to normal, bitcoin moves like that do not worry, I know that for some people losing 15% of their investment in a day may be too much but if you are going to keep belonging to the group of bitcoin investors then the only thing that I can recommend to you is to get used to it because volatility is not going to disappear in a long time.
2039  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: how to start trading with a very small amount on: September 06, 2017, 03:04:22 AM
I think it is kind of useless to start trading with a very low amount of money, the fees are going to eat all your profits, if you have any

I don't know what exchange you use, but aren't fees percentage based? As such, it doesn't matter if you trade with 10$ or 1000$.
True, but what about the fees if you want to withdraw your money out of the exchange, many people complain that the fees can be very high, just look all across the forum and every week you are bound to find a thread of someone complaining about the high fees, and since the fees on bitcoin depend on the size of the transaction then the miners fee can be a high percentage of your bankroll.
2040  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin be replaced by another cryptocurrency? on: September 06, 2017, 02:43:24 AM
It perfectly makes sense. Bitcoin will be replaced by another cryptocurrency in the future that will be better, more advanced, and more convenient. It will make sense that people will move on to the better currency and Bitcoin will be useless, obsolete. But it doesn’t mean that it will be useless. Bitcoin has laid the foundation for the modern currency. No doubt that the principles and functions will be adapted by the new digital currency. Bitcoin will become the father of the modern digital currency.

It has been almost ten years and no cryptocurrency has appeared that is even close to rival bitcoin this show to us the beauty of satoshi’s design, and it also show to us that even if surpassing bitcoin is possible in theory, bitcoin is not going to give up its top spot as the best cryptocurrency that easily, especially since the devs keep updating bitcoin.
