When does the monthly time period start? Can I add the sig now and then posts will count towards my total, or do I have to wait till the 30th or 1st Dec to start?

You can start whenever, payment is the 17th of every month.

Thanks.

I can only guess how many times the tulipomania bubble has been brought up during those 5 years of bitcoin.
Yet look where we are now   Tongue

I totally agree. i mean theres not much you can do with tuplips anyways. bitcoins will buy you a ferrari lol

The Tulipmania comparison is annoying for sure, but here's the thing; it is quite possible that at some point in the future Bitcoin will lose its value for whatever reasons. It could become worthless or worth very little quite quickly or on a gradual decline, and if it does, all those naysayers will spout "I told you so". USD or GBP could tank quite easily or lose its value quite quickly, especially with banks printing more and more money willy-nilly. Paper fiat money is just a piece of paper at the end of the day, just like Bitcoin is bits of code and currencies are only ultimately  worth what people are prepared to pay or purchase with them.

As far as I can calculate those free uBTC is equillivant to $0.073 - $0.00073..

BTC going rate at btc-e is $727 atm.

Wouldn't it be better just trying to mine some?

Yeah, but let's face it, these faucets and free games are just for newbs to get some coin in their wallet. It's really not worth your time at the end of the day, but if they're fine with less than a cent, let em go for it.
20226  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Wallet on: November 25, 2013, 08:40:27 PM
You could always try https://blockchain.info/wallet/.  They have an android apps that syncs up, also.

Blockchain is probably the best online one in my opinion. Two-factor authentication is a plus.

But sadly these people need help, therapy they have issues, these girls are preying on it. Just like drug dealers prey on people with addiction and casinos prey on people with addictive personalities.

Casinos hardly prey on people. They're not forcing people to go into them and gamble. There's also hardly anyone who is ever forced to take drugs. The idea of a 'drug-pusher' is largely a myth propagated by anti-drug scaremongers - the same people who brought you the 'Cannabis is a gateway drug' catchphrase. Do people actually go to buy some weed and their dealer goes "no, but I've got this really good crystal meth though and you really, really should try it" and if they did, you don't have to buy it. Most people will have some vice or addiction, some are just more costlier/damaging/controversial than others, and people will always be there to capitalise on it, whether morally dubious or not.

hilariousandco, I totally support other people's right to wear the uniform for fetish parties and stuff Smiley it's a personal preference of mine as a socialist out of respect for history, but I go by the philosophy:

YKINMKBYKIOK - Your kink is not my kink, but your kink is OK!

Nice to see another socialist on here - I wonder if there is a socialist group on the site?

Yeah, as long as you're not hurting anyone else and everything is consensual, then I'm for most things with regards to sex/sexuality (and everything else for that matter). I respect your personal reasons/morals for not wanting to wear it.

I'm sure there are a lot of Socialists here, but beware, many people (especially in the USA) seem to think Socialism is a dirty word.

Yes, I will certainly be posting pics. Smiley

Ohh, sexy ;P

If you have a website you can get peeps to pay in BTC via https://bitpay.com/,

I know there's some camsites and stuff that take BTC (not that I've used them lol but I've seen people posting on forums and reddit etc)

Of course not Tongue

Haha, I swear! Seriously, I wouldn't even pay with cash for this type of stuff never-mind wasting my precious bitcoins on it. Not that I disagree with it or have any problem with women doing it. I think it's entrepreneurial and I'm all for women exploiting men perversions for cash. I'd do it if I was one. Sadly, I'm not. I would be willing to wiggle my dick on cam for BTC though if anyone is interested? haha.

Thanks everyone!  What a helpful forum Smiley

I'm actually a socialist and wouldn't wear a Nazi uniform myself

I'm a Libertarian Socialist and abhor racism/fascism, but I'd still wear a Nazi uniform if someone was gonna pay me BTC haha. I also don't think any one who dresses up in a Nazi uniform would necessarily be promoting Nazism as an ideology - it's probably mostly just a fetish/fantasy thing (people are just perverted I guess). There's an interesting bit in the Lemmy (from Motorhead) documentary film where he collects Nazi memorabilia and is shown wearing some of the uniforms, but he explains he's not a racist/fascist. I suppose he could be lying, but I have no reason to disbelieve him.

20232  Economy / Speculation / Re: awesome on: November 25, 2013, 05:06:26 PM
Bitcoin basically is electronic gold, only better. It's scarce, can't be counterfeited or inflated, it has no weight and can't be confiscated or destroyed by uncle Sam.

Well , history has already contradicted this point. Let's wait another year and look back at this.
Maybe there will be another one wrong.
If you are thinking about SR or Gox holding people hostage, that falls under willingly handing your money over to someone else. I'm talking about cracking wallets. From what I understand it is as close to impossible as anything computer related gets.

If you ever worry about this, you can encrypt it with more password parts remembered with 2+ people each

I think I'd rather just give it all up than be tortured to death haha.
20233  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Some newbie BTC questions on: November 25, 2013, 05:00:03 PM

How I am I supposed to know about encrypting wallets, backing up dat files etc.

By doing some actual research. You click some buttons on your wallet and then put it on a usb. Do you need me to explain what is meant by "putting it on a usb"? Everything you need to know can be found online and has been answered multiple times before on this very forum. I tried to give you some simple answers to your questions and all I get back is condescension. Oh, and if you've never used a flash drive before, I think it's best you leave Bitcoin alone.

"At this rate it's going to be many years before btc gets anywhere remotely near to mainstream acceptance"

Yeah, and when it hopefully does I hope you'll remember this thread and wonder how much money you could've made.
20234  Economy / Goods / Re: Cannabis seeds on: November 25, 2013, 02:01:12 PM
Wtf Cannabis is illegal in Bulgaria Cool

A seed is not cannabis, it´s a seed.
A cannabis seed does not contains any THC.

Wait, how do you get/make a seed without the plant?
Wouldn't he need to (illegally) grow the plant in order to harvest and sell the seeds legally?

Hello, sorry for delay, not having lot of time now, hope will have at the end of the week Smiley And in answer to your statement i would say that nobody knows which is first the chicken or the egg  Cool

The plants/seeds are grown and produced in a country where it's legal to do so, then the seeds are legally shipped to other countries and sold. No laws are broken unless the person who bought the seeds germinates/grows them in a country where it's illegal to do so.
20235  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Some newbie BTC questions on: November 25, 2013, 01:49:23 PM
You don’t have to keep a wallet on your PC, you could store your coins online at https://blockchain.info/wallet

Simple steps to getting started:

Download a BTC wallet. http://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet
Install and open it.
Let the blockchain load up (this will take a while the first time)
Look to buy some BTC. Buy a tiny amount at first on ebay or from somebody on here and get it sent to your wallet. Be careful not to get scammed.
Once you have received the funds, encrypt your wallet and make a back up the dat.file and copy it onto a usb stick. Keep the USB safe and don't lose it.

Make sure you read up on wallets and cryptos before you dive straight in. You don't want to lose money. You might want to try getting to grips with another cheaper crypto currency first. Most of them are clones of BTC with minor tweaks so work the same way and use essentially the same wallets.

It will be daunting at first if you're not tech savvy, but you'll quickly get used to it.
20236  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin on: November 25, 2013, 01:33:43 PM
BTC probably, but LTC will likely see an increase and a few massive jumps. As BTC becomes more popular/accepted, and therefore more expensive and riskier to invest, more and more peeps will try to cash in on cryptos and look for the next best thing. Might be worth trying to figure out what will be the new LTC and invest in that.

He can keep the money, as I say, he must be in a bad place financially to stoop this low.

Maybe, maybe not, some people are just greedy and want stuff for free.

Hope you made enough profit on the other sales to cover the loss.
20239  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Sell some Bitcoins Via Paypal on: November 25, 2013, 12:17:56 PM
Seems shady to me. Aren't chargebacks really scary this time?

Bottom line Paypal seems to be the choice favorite by new people to the forum looking to scam. More than likely he wants it sent as a gift/donation. PayPal is much easier to scam people whether you are buying BTC with paypal or selling BTC for paypal.

This is true, but it's also the choice for honest newbs/beginners to get their hands on some BTC easy and without the hassle of exchanges and bank transfers etc. The protection it offers buyers is also unfortunately its downfall.
