20301  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Bitmain registers S11, S11+ and F3 with Russia FSB Protocol. !Scam! on: April 25, 2018, 03:46:55 PM
Dear subscriber,
We are writing to inform you that we have received reports that some fraudulent sellers or scammers are trying to sell next-generation models of Bitmain’s Antminers, such as Antminer S10 or S11, none of which exist yet. The latest Bitcoin or Bitcoin Cash miner from Bitmain continues to be the Antminer S9, which can be purchased on www.bitmain.com
We sell miners only on www.bitmain.com We do not have any physical location, in China or abroad, where you can purchase Bitmain’s miners. There is no other way to purchase Bitmain's products from us.
If the option to buy a product that is listed on the website is not there, the product is sold out and there will likely be another batch of that product soon.
If we know the date or time for the next batch releases of any product, we announce it on our Facebook page (facebook.com/Bitmain) or Twitter account (twitter.com/Bitmaintech).
The price of a batch is usually only available when the batch is released.
We wish you all a happy mining experience with Bitmain’s products.
Regards,
The Bitmain team

@ op please write scam in your title.

As for :
S-9
T-1
avalon 841

all three have issues.

but  I did decide to keep the 5x T1's sent to me for testing/demo.
I like -ck's firmware updates  and don't mind the pool limitations.

My avalon comes today  I will see how cool I can keep it.
It appears that I won't be able to have a lot of them as 30c or 86f is not possible to do in the main solar array loft during the summer.

and s-9's break a lot.
20302  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: My review of Avalon 841 No Info yet. on: April 25, 2018, 03:31:34 PM
I would be curious if one was to isolate the PSU ambient temp from the machine ambient temp (PSU colder than machine intake), with bitmain psu at least we see increased power usage with higher PSU temp more than machine temp.

I have seen  bitmain psu's  drop off efficiency   when they get warm.

When I test  this avalon

 I will use a

 delta 2400 watt
 corsair 1500 titanium
 myrig 1600
 bitmain apw
I think an avalon not sure it they are sending one
 a hp 2450 gold

20303  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Halong Mining announces the T2, a 17-17.5TH+ Miner on: April 25, 2018, 03:04:31 PM
Would be better to make it removable just in case the PSU dies. If it is separated, one can just swap the psu. I dont see wats so hard about plugging in a PSU. I had one old psu go down so far and the other one didnt work so well. The miner lives.

Just my 2 cents

I like that they added a few chips.

I am not a big fan of the forced psu.
It looks like there is a short hazard.
It will cost more to ship.
If it is a MyRig Psu  it is 1600 watt max I rather use a delta 2400 watt.

If I can get one I will test it out and see if I can get rig of the short hazard.

Meanwhile I kept the 5x T1's  sent to me. I will be paying for them today.
20304  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: DragonMint T1 16TH/S halongmining.com on: April 25, 2018, 02:56:44 PM
The b52 is not sha gear  does not belong here on this thread and I am also buying  that.

@numnutz2009  please delete every post  or edit every post that says I did not pay for the gear. If you want to say I got a cheap price fine.

here is my statement and why I am buying the gear:

The t1  is better then the s-9 if you mine at slush
the t1 is better then the s-9 if you mine at bitminter
the t1 is better then the s-9 if you mine at any of -ck's 2 pools.

My so called bargain price  is the black Friday price.

Anyone that listened to me  would not have ordered when gear was at top price.

Now today I get a free avalon 841  my cost = zero  and I will be giving it to buysolar since he is the one that travelled to  China for the Avalon training.

Numnutz  if people had listened to me  none would have purchased any T1 gear until today. The day I purchased it.

BTW I did mutiple videos and spent days testing the gear.  Posting here  and other posts  trying to get people to understand  the value of this item.

I am also trying to get pools to adapt it.  so far 1 pool has done so bitminter.

20305  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: DragonMint T1 16TH/S halongmining.com on: April 25, 2018, 01:16:56 PM
I am pleased to announce MyRig sent me a bill today for :

5 x T1
1 x B52
6 x MyRig psu

I was given option to send them back with no shipping cost.

Or pay with paypal

Or pay with btc.

I will be buying the gear.

My judgement on the T1 is it is better then the s-9 at the Black Friday price of 1395 plus 105 for psu.

So I will be sending 1500 x 5 = 7500 to my rig for the five t1s and 5 psus.

I do think the gear is worth that price.
-ck firmware is a big plus for the gear
A big reason I will be sending coin to myrig

This miner can mine nmc coin in merged mining on bitminter.

I am certain of this as I am doing so on his pool as I type
20306  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Halong Mining announces the T2, a 17-17.5TH+ Miner on: April 25, 2018, 03:13:50 AM
I deleted all posts of mine in this thread.

and will try to post this in a different way

below is a new photo /screenshot with alterations in red showing what I think is a short hazard in the new model T2

so to Halong I ask will the terminals be shielded

I will also put the link to imgur

It is funny but it appears that all three big miners have issues.

S-9 breaks a lot
T-1 does not do full specs
Avalon 841 wants to be in a 86f room
20308  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: A question to any and all sha-256 pool owners. on: April 24, 2018, 10:14:29 PM
I'd temper that a bit with a "Presuming ASCI-Boost machines generate more Hash/Watt than other offerings".

Actually if enough pool owners adopt it .

Bitmain loses its edge of covert asic boost.

My  position is to be against overt  aisc boost  is to be for covert asic boost.

thus you are helping the largest asdic company there is Bitmain.

As to whether asic boost works better  we  can't tell unless  we get enough pools able to do it.

-ck solo
-ck pooled
bitminter
slush
India btc pool

makes 5 pools allowing it.
20309  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: DragonMint 16TH/S halongmining.com on: April 24, 2018, 09:18:15 PM
I don't even know if the T1 can mine at -ck solo pool  which would be a 5th pool
Yes it does; I announced support for it on the solo pool thread a long time ago but no one noticed (or perhaps cared.)

Missed it.. so five pools  allow the t1
20310  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: DragonMint 16TH/S halongmining.com on: April 24, 2018, 08:10:47 PM
April 24 Update.
Halong Mining is insisting that we ship 1000 miners starting this Friday that performs anywhere from 0TH-16.2TH while majority are 13-14TH/s units.  They insists these were tested in-spec miners as advertised.  The below photo comes from QA system screenshot in China as of the 24th in the evening.
As a service to community I wanted to retype the data from that screenshot. But unfortunately it got already replaced with a new one showing better numbers in a narrower range and this time it doesn't show the titles of the columns, which were in Chinese characters. All I remember that there was at least one row showing 10.XX TH/s and XX/XX/0 in the next column.

Maybe someone here has a browser with larger on-disk cache and can dig up the original image?

It is fun to watch the propaganda sausage being made.

I will link these

oh I also offered to point a T1 for testing  to any pool that wants to add asicboost

20311  Bitcoin / Pools / A question to any and all sha-256 pool owners. on: April 24, 2018, 08:02:30 PM
Would you consider adding Halong  Miners T1 asic boost to your pool?

I helped bitminter with testing and they added asicboost to the pool.

I have 1 T1 point at his pool.   please comment as to whether you would want to add asicboost.

Note i am a gear guy I can only point the  gear a T1 for you to test . I am not a coder.
20312  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: DragonMint 16TH/S halongmining.com on: April 24, 2018, 07:58:04 PM
So why are so few pools supporting version-rolled ASICBoost?

It was easy to do and I didn't see any reason not to.

Yes, it will trigger warnings like "3 of last 100 blocks have unexpected version" in Bitcoin Core. But this can be easily fixed.

IMO, ASICBoost is just a simple optimization. Patents and arguing about whether it is wrong to use it is just dumb. Let everyone use ASICBoost, same as everyone started using various GPU mining optimizations that were discovered throughout 2011. That is now possible. Let all miner manufacturers speed up their miners and life goes on.

Thank you  to me any pool not owned by bitmain should do it.

Thanks for adding it.

I will continue to point 1 of the five T1's at your pool

and your pool is the only one with merged mining allowing both BTC and NMC to be mined.
20313  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: DragonMint 16TH/S halongmining.com on: April 24, 2018, 07:19:46 PM
... once u decided to accept free hardware to change ur opinion u turned into someone u openly made comments about on the forums lol. sad

So  3 major sha 256 builders

bitmain s-9  they lie about asic boost they can mine with it when the want or not mine with it.  they do not offer this option to us

halong t1  they did not say the miner would be limited to  2 pools (now 4) they were not asked so legally they did not lie. but they practiced a deception.

avalon 841  was listed to mine in a 40 c room   they changed spec to 30c. this will be an issue for me in the summer.

all of the above have sent me gear

of the three  halong is not sending it for free and has discussed with me if I want to keep them or send them back we are at the point of me waiting for his price for the gear .

both bitmain and avalon  have sent free gear to me.

So  all 3 companies  have done wrong stuff.

and your complaint about the t1 is easy to fix as each and every sha pool op has the option to allow the gear to work or not work.

So you can stop saying I shill for Halong or bitmain or Avalon I don't.

and if people had waited like I told them to they would not have placed orders  from black friday until this april.

Once MyRig tells me what he wants for the gear I will either buy it or send it back.

20314  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: DragonMint 16TH/S halongmining.com on: April 24, 2018, 05:33:59 PM
So at this time  the T1  can mine BTC and NMC at 1 pool bitminter.

It can mine BTC at -ck pool
It can mine BTC at slush pool

and it can mine at an Indian pool btc ----- I have not verified this.

PPC pools have refused to change to allow  the t1 to mine they could do this.

So most of the t1 issues are  because pools are boycotting it as I understand the problem.

I don't even know if the T1 can mine at -ck solo pool  which would be a 5th pool

Bitmain announces an asic for BYTOM.  Huh

What is bytom?

I lose track where does it list?

They dropped their sia A3 to 512 and it takes a 200 dollar coupon

so 512 + 100 = 612 - 200 = 412  pretty cheap

Sia  is moving up price wise and hash rate is 32,000 th  that would be 40000 A3s or 8000 s11/b52

So sia could hang in there

As for LTC  it is 220,000 gh which is over 400,000 L3+  so it can stay above power costs.

Bytom  I don't know the al- gore- rhythm

the coins,
 the prices ,
the hash rate.

not sure if the thing can be flooded out.

bitmain is cranking out gear after gear after gear after gear

Have to say the b52  from halong  is a god  not the god but  a god none the less..

I did a mod and put in some highend san ace fans they dropped temps and noise.

Look what a 1460 watt asic miner is earning  for sia

https://www.nicehash.com/miner/146UJM5kgzLVUV23CXCf33KQKHckoX1gx3

0.0060 to 0.0075 btc a day  or

$55.80  to $69.75 usd

1.46 x 24 = 35 k-watts a day or   $3.50

so it is netting  52 to 66 a day

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3345156.0

I am fighting with them on this thread  as they simply have a different business style then I do.

But if you have a bank  that will transfer them the money  I think an s11 is worth it.

https://siamining.com/   if you look here  this pool has 17,662 th  that is

4100 s11's or b52's

https://siastats.info/

the whole network is 32,000 th or 8000 s11's or b 52's

I think  getting one or 2 of these is good.

I do believe high risk high yield! D9 with such high hash rate mining DCR Tongue Tongue I just want to know the ship time and the price for any discount or coupon....lol  I'm very optimistic about this one!
Whats with this Blake256 algo? How come its producing the top numbers and its only got 1 coin on it, decred. Why is decred so much more profitable to mine than any other coin in the market? Is this a risky buy like the X3?
Its lucrative at this point. And how will everyone jumping on this affect the profitability/difficulty? I really want to buy a few but unsure how risky it is. Need to get more educated. Any help is highly appreciated!

The s11 or b52 is making me solid money

Of course the op does not admit  the b52 is the s11

 why?  I don't know

I would want to have another.  I have earned about 0.1 btc with it in about  13 days

The Inno Units are the exact same H/W as the Halong Miners.

Firmware too?  I am unfamiliar with the new inno unit just weary of new untested units and hitting all the specs.  My mistake if its a moot point

It is a good point no one knows if the s11 is doing as well as the b52.

I  did a screen shot price for 1 miner  S11 and shipping to usa

coinbase price right now is 8922   so .446 x 8922 =  3979 usd  you are off by more then 200 usd in your favor.

I can guarantee it is always off in your favor as I check it 1 time every hour for days now and it is always 100 to 350 usd in your favor.

As it should be about 3500 + 120 to ship or 3620 usd .  It has never been this price. On 3 different exchanges  all the times I checked.

I don't mind the extra 100 to 350 overcharge I mind you hide it.

You have done it for years.

Why not simply say BTC rates and LTC rates are Slightly  higher due to exchange costs.
The no one would complain.
I have purchased 300,000 in gear since 2012 I have never purchased a single item from you  because you do this.
I own a dragon mint b52 which is the same as your s11 it is a fine miner I would buy the s11 from you if you were transparent  about exchange rates you are not.
To all  the S11 is good gear well at least my B52 is good.

Hello Thanks a lot for your feedback.

The exchange rate maybe a little higher because of the unstable price of BTC.
Since we are unable to track the highly variable BTC valuation, we have no choice but to provide a BTC valuation that is on the lower end of this range. We recognize that this does not provide a good deal using this currency when the BTC valuation moves higher, however we also accept USD, which is a much more stable currency for us. Our recommendation is that you make your purchases in USD if you can't time your purchases to a low BTC valuation.

Thank you.

holy crap did you just copy and paste that response from the previous page? jesus you guys really keep shooting yourselves in the foot

It's basically the same question. So...we'll change the expression next time. Smiley

No it is not.  What I said was post on the sales page.

Just put it on the website

we don't adjust btc and ltc every hour so we use a lower number. Pay cash if you want a true cash price.

Saying it on this thread means nothing .

Write it on your website .  To a westerner like myself  you would be showing me respect and honesty.
In western culture your practice with ltc and btc prices is considered theft and disrespectful.
So I suggested you explain the problem on your website

I did this because I like the B52/S11 gear.
BTW your B52 or S11 sia miner is a great piece of gear.
I reviewed it very favorably
