2041  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum Lightning Network Transaction Stuck for 3 months on: April 08, 2023, 03:10:57 AM
--

I think you need to read the comments above, it seems that the user was scammed by someone who sent him a fake TX address, you will see the details here -----> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5436232.msg61630235#msg61630235 and he admitted that.

Yes that is the transaction I am referring to.

I don't know why this user created this topic again.
2042  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto Exchanges with trading apps for PC (Windows, macOS, Linux)? on: April 08, 2023, 02:56:11 AM
What is the benefit that the application can offer you that does not contain the browser? In fact, the main purpose of creating an application is to exploit your device's physical resources (RAM, or graphics card), which are two things that you do not need in trading apps, so there is no point in creating an application.

Overall, do trading bots work? They are applications and provide the same services.
2043  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: THE RATES AT WHICH BITCOIN ATMs MOVES IS MIND BLOWING on: April 07, 2023, 11:50:07 AM
Is this data up to date? Because about a month ago, a software defect was discovered in one of the largest servers for these devices in the United States, and it caused a large number of these devices to stop.
Also, fees and taxes may not make these devices profitable.

In general, it is great to have an ATM like this, especially in airports and tourist areas, more than the traditional places visited by the local population, because it will enhance the decentralization of Bitcoin and the lack of the need for conversion to dollars.
2044  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Future of tokens like Uniswap, Pancakeswap, Sushiswap, Apeswap? on: April 07, 2023, 11:23:52 AM
With collapses of Terra, DeFi 2.0 model shows their weakness and do you think those tokens will be recover to their all time highs in 2024 bull run?
I do not think so, because the period in which *Decentralized finance (aka DeFi) * witnessed growth was the period in which there was a lot of free money and the investment did not generate a lot of money, for example the interest was closer to zero, but now conditions have changed a lot and deposits in banks are safe and provide a serious return.

Also, the regulations that force the platforms to stop staking and generate free money for customers will put severe pressure on these projects, given that they are centralized at a point, and the pressure will generate people’s distancing from those investments.
2045  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Opinion on Cardano on: April 07, 2023, 11:17:19 AM
Guys, I wanted to get your opinion on Cardano. I've heard a lot of good things about this cryptocurrency, I'd like to hear your opinion as well. Thanks.
Cardano (ADA) project was very ambitious and its main idea was centered on taking advantage of the high Ethereum fees and providing acceptable stakes for subscribers and thus continuing to grow and attract projects to the network.

The success of Ethereum to switch to Proof of Stake was the final blow to that project, and with low fees and a second layer like Polygon, they were the main reasons for the absence of new ideas about the project.

Even their staking is no longer valuable compared to Ethereum.
2046  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am now a Bitcoin investor on: April 07, 2023, 10:57:50 AM
I recently purchased 0.0045 Bitcoins which is still present in my trust wallet I believe with me owning a fraction of the worlds Bitcoin although a very tiny fraction in practical I am now a crypto currency investor  in essence a Bitcoin investor
I do not want to be frustrated, but investing is not related to the amount of what you have invested, but rather to your investment mentality, meaning your ideas, plans and return on investment.
It is good to invest part of your money in Bitcoin, but what is the return on that money? For example, the amount of $ 100 will not make you a fortune unless you die, but reducing your expenses and starting to invest and with the passage of days is what will make you a fortune.
2047  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What does it take to become a Bitcoin investor on: April 07, 2023, 10:10:31 AM
Investing is when your money gains additional value, and therefore once you start your investment over time, it is supposed to increase in value over time. It does not matter if your investment is in bitcoin, real estate, stocks, or others, as long as your money will grow.
Bitcoin is considered valuable because supply is limited and the assumption that demand will increase, and therefore there is no guarantee that its price will increase.
If you do not have a strategy and a goal for your investment in Bitcoin, that investment may turn into a loss, either a real or accounting loss.
In short, where to find value, invest.
2048  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 5 Things I've learned day trading Bitcoin for 3 years (successfully) on: April 07, 2023, 09:26:57 AM

1. Never trade against the market trend. The market trend is king, and attempting to trade against it is a recipe for disaster. Following the trend allows you to capture profits and avoid unnecessary losses.
I agree with you on the rest of the points, but what do you mean by the direction of the market? Is the market analysis based on recent variables or on historical data, and from here it leads us whether to listen to short-term or long-term technical indicators?

In general, trading is an art, and to be an artist, you must choose your own method. It is true that there are similar things, but in the end, your artistic touch is necessary.
2049  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Do you think security is a prime feature to consider in payment getaways? on: April 07, 2023, 09:15:08 AM
I think you have confused two terms. Security means that your coins will reach your wallet safely or to your bank account without another party stealing them, and privacy means that your data will not be seen by a third party and will be deleted or destroyed once the request is completed.

Unfortunately privacy is valuable and you can only trust that your data will not be used by a third party if you host your own data processor, and broadcast the transaction via Tor.
Try to reduce the data you provide and always consider that a third party will see it.
2050  Other / Meta / Re: Anything wrong with wearing signature for project not registered on this forum? on: April 07, 2023, 08:56:28 AM
A lot of detailed responses to an issue that does not deserve much thought, I do not know what is happening, but perhaps they are taking the forum too seriously.
It is nice to know BTT rules, but there is nothing strict, and the first replies will be sufficient for you as an answer.
2051  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for April on: April 06, 2023, 12:50:38 PM
I believe that the price is moving against trends, and therefore as long as there is optimism, the price may not move in the same direction.
In the previous days, there was a lot of negative news, however, this news was not reflected as a decrease in the price, which means that it may be calculated in the future, especially since the regulatory restrictions on the platforms are increasing, which means a problem in demand.

In general, we have gone too far over the past months, so I hope that we will see a slight correction before returning to the $30,000 levels.

There is a kind of paid prediction here -----> Sinbad.io April Bitcoin Price Prediction Challenge! that you can participate in.
2052  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Did I can make platform without KYC verification on: April 06, 2023, 12:20:33 PM
It depends on the nature of the platform. If it is central, yes, you can do that, but you will be considered providing a money laundering service, and therefore you will be tracked and detained. You may try to hide your identity, but it is difficult to manage an activity with thousands of transactions per day without going through the banking system, especially if there is acceptance of transfers from and to cash.

If it is decentralized, things will be different, but your problem remains in providing sufficient liquidity.
2053  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Looking for feedback on: April 06, 2023, 12:06:20 PM
I'm trying to get some initial feedback on a new project I'm working on. The concept is simple, revolutionise the way real estate development projects in the UK are funded.
Real estate, bitcoin, wealth? Let me guess, will you create a new token for UK or Metaverse?
Unfortunately, you will not find someone to fund your idea here, especially when you are giving general information and you do not have an actual project to be evaluated, so it is better to think about something well-defined or look for a developer to formulate your idea for you.
2054  Economy / Speculation / Re: MicroStrategy Buys Another 1,045 bitcoins for $29.3m on: April 06, 2023, 11:42:53 AM
It is better that all news related to MicroStrategy be updated here -----> MicroStrategy Buys $250M in Bitcoin, Calling the Crypto ‘Superior to Cash’

They have been making continuous purchases for the past two years and creating a separate topic for each purchase will reduce the quality of posts.

Their average purchase of Bitcoin is still $29,000, although they bought a lot when the price was less than20k, which means that their short-term strategy is not profitable, or at least it is not a green signal for anyone who wants to predict the price or buy.
2055  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Participating in Mixer Signature Campaign on: April 06, 2023, 11:33:43 AM
You can check for yourself: all Mods have their Bitcoin address in their profile, then find the monthly transaction that pays several Mods.
I took a random sample and it looks like 5-8 make less than $600 a month (a good average you can get from signature campaigns)
However, some addresses get more than $250 a week, which is an average that all signature campaigns cannot. Honestly, I was surprised that it could be considered a part-time job and not just a bonus.
2056  Other / Archival / Re: Sinbad.io Mixer - secure, fast and easy to use on: April 06, 2023, 11:10:57 AM
That Royse Idea to create the biggest April Fools Joke after Flappy bird Captcha it was very tempting tho  Cry. I hope it was real  Grin
I saw that and did not like it because I was surprised that why Sinbad would pay in a signature campaign without updating the site.

I do not know if @Royse777 had taken Sinbad's permission before doing that trick, but using private business as April Fools' campaign does not be a professional behavior, at least as a campaign manager.

The idea of doing reviews is not a bad one. But I think whenever someone receives money to do a review, it can always give the idea that they are being biased.
Doing a review is either at the beginning of the activity or important changes, otherwise the adoption of trust and build brand name.
2057  Other / Meta / Re: Messages for deleted posts - from 4 years ago? on: April 06, 2023, 10:18:20 AM
According to modlog ----> https://bitcointalk.org/modlog.php

You have one post that has been deleted in this thread ----> ★★★ [ANN][BTCG] BitcoinG | AIRDROP | (WAVES token) ★★★

So you should have received one message and not several messages.

As for the reason for the deletion, it does not seem that you are the only one.

2058  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Participating in Mixer Signature Campaign on: April 06, 2023, 10:06:57 AM
Are you sure about that? I recently checked some of the Mod-payments, and they were higher than I expected. Of course, this is different for each Mod, but so are signature payments.
Can you estimate the average or at least the limits of those payments? even if the numbers are not accurate.

Several years ago, I remember this was brought up, and the average was about $60 per week ~240/month (depending on board) but for most it is less than $100 per month.

2059  Economy / Services / Re: 🍀🍀 whirlwind.money | Review Campaign | Write a review & earn up to $100! 🍀🍀 on: April 05, 2023, 04:36:01 AM
To avoid duplicating replies, please create a brief one containing the most important recommendations and suggestions, and ask users to read it first before making new review.

* At first I tried to access the site without javascript, unfortunately the site does not work.

Suggestion:

Create a clean copy (e.g https://clean.whirlwind.money/) with basic features that do not require JavaScript.

** Fast Mode: The idea of delaying a transaction to enhance privacy is relatively old and has proven to be traceable.

Suggestions:

Why not trying to do some off-network transactions using, for example, anonymous LN hub or something like:
 - TumbleBit: An Untrusted Bitcoin-Compatible Anonymous Payment Hub: https://github.com/BUSEC/TumbleBit
 - A2L: Anonymous Atomic Locks for Scalability in Payment Channel Hubs

*** Note fees: I see that you give a variable range of note fees, and the reason is to enhance privacy. Humans use the same choice when they have multiple options.

Suggestions:

that the notes fee be random at any rate from 0.25% to 1.5%.

**** Warranty message: I see that the warranty message contains "We have generated the deposit address," without a clear definition of the service name.

I will test mixing process using the coins that will be sent here:

2060  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Some scams that can be avoided that people failed to check!!! on: April 05, 2023, 03:28:28 AM
All your tips explain phishing in one way or another, simply because it is an attempt to use a service that claims to be a reliable service, or at least there is an unreliable service that wants to attract followers by offering offers that are too good to be true.
But the fraud is much greater than that. You may find a real service that works for several years, and yet it deceives you.
So preparing static lists will not solve the problem, but:

 - Be skeptical.
 - Do not trust any service.
 - Always ask and do not be shy to ask the question, no matter how stupid.
 - Finally, do not think that you know everything, because it is the scammers' way of finding victims.
