2041  Other / Meta / Re: Limit on image file size when posting on: July 30, 2020, 07:03:58 PM
I have the same issue I am not able to upload my gif. Yeah I believe maximum size is somewhere over 2 mb. I don't really know any services can someone help me with a service that can resize gifs?
Yeah it has nothing to do with the size of the file mate, usually gif is just less than a megabyte, and according to some people in here the file limit for images is 2.5 mb. I guess if you wanna share something in gif badly you need to pay for a copper member rank, you'll get the same forum benefit as a member for it, but it's quite pricy for me, around $28 bucks as of now I think.
2042  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is your plan when Bitcoin will reach a new ATH? on: July 30, 2020, 06:18:05 PM
I can't really tell when to sell but I have a target price to sell this time, I said to myself that when bitcoin reaches $12K I'll sell the half of it and hold the remaining, I just want to taste my old bitcoins. I already learned my lesson from the last appearance of the high prices, thought it was climbing for more price level and I end up digging my own hole for it. My plan? Not that luxurious, just wanna secure a month long grocery for my family coz we are still in a lockdown grrrr  Angry

Don't be too picky when choosing when to sell!  Wink
2043  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Philippines Central Bank Considers Issuing Its Own Digital Currency. on: July 30, 2020, 05:49:31 PM
Kung hindi ako nagkakamali, Petro was issued out of desperation para makawala sa mga international sanctions kaya na-devalue ng sobra yung fiat currency nila. Hindi nila talaga napaghandaan yan.

Mukhang wala naman ganung factor dito sa atin and BSP is also taking their time.

Yeap, so far very unlikely for something bad to happen dahil so far mejo goodss parin ang Philippine Peso, pero I wouldn't underestimate the PH government(and the central bank) in terms of their capability to fuck up.  Grin Of course, hoping for the best.
Wala akong problema sa central government, mas maraming mali ang nga nasasakupan nya like DOH ngayon mapapa 'wtf' ka na lang e pero in terms of financial mukang aariba naman tayo, may tiwala naman ako sa governor ng BSP at mukang gagalingan naman nila sa kanilang research about dito. Ang mahirap lang about this is the implementation, lahat ba magtitiwala sa nagawa nilang produkto? lahat ba gugustuhin iyon lalo na't alam naman natin ang mga tao sa pilipinas masyadong conservative sa lahat ng bagay, okay na sila sa tradisyonal. Hoping for what's best to our nation.
2044  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The difference between a true Crypto gambling site and a Fiat/Crypto site.. on: July 30, 2020, 05:01:52 PM
The answer to that is of course business owners still see Cryptocurrencies as high risk for an asset as it has very unstable market value. They might develop this features to quickly convert Crypto to Fiat in case a major drop of crypto price happens.
They haven't completely adopted and still needs fiat to safeguard their profits in crypto gamblings.

The business owner tries to look if the crypto is legal or not in their country, so they don't risk for their business to break the law. If they see that everything is okay, and they see they have the chance to integrate their business with the crypto, they will try it and will see how it can give them more money. They still think that fiat gambling still provides benefits to them, but if they can see that the crypto existence can give them more money, they will implement crypto on their website or their place.

Nope, you have it wrong.

Most of these online casinos are licensed in Curaçao where the taxation is more favorable and the politics are stable. So the legality is not such a big motivator for them to decide if they want to accept Crypto currencies or not. The problem come in when they have to submit the documents for taxation and the government where they are licensed does not accept Crypto currencies as a currency.
Well I think legality is huge factor in casino having a cryptocurrencies, as we know crypto gained a lot of eyes watching it, there are governments who already written a law on it, there are taxed casino with casinos and all of that. Maybe what you are trying to say is that crypto is legal in your country, but that's not the same as the other country. Crypto is very controversial when it comes to table talk in the government coz most of it is decentralized which they fear.

How do they explain their income derived from a illegal currency? Remember ... most gambling sites use currencies for betting... not commodities. Most governments allow Bitcoin to be a Commodity.  Roll Eyes
well you already said it "most governments allow it" but not all  Cheesy
2045  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how to win at casino on: July 30, 2020, 03:52:57 PM
If there is a perfect strategy to be used in gambling then there must be more winners right now than the losers or there must be no losers as of this moment.

Winning in a casino isn't as easy as you think. You've said it already that you gambled so many times already. Learn from it and you saw it already that there is no perfect strategy. Even the strategy you said isn't working with all of the gamblers. Winning in gambling is all about luck for me. No strategies, no skills just pure luck. Yes there are some games that requires skills and strategies too especially the card games but it will go down to how lucky you are in order to win.

Luck does not knock on your door all the time. It seldom happens that you are going to end up the lucky man. But then how to make up for it? It is strategy and skill. Better strategies and better skills are still highly reliable in terms of gambling games which are not purely random or luck-based.
This is what I think the reason why some gamblers don't quit after a loss, they think that luck would come their way the moment they decided to continue, I mean there's nothing wrong quitting but also there is a benefit of quitting, at the end of the day it is you that creates your own luck. If you play a game whose probability is 50/50 and is based in pure luck don't always expect to win, still skill based game is better for me.

You cannot receive a royal flush all the time but then you can play your imperfect cards so well that you still end up the winner.
How about an extraordinary luck? I've had royal flush and quads consecutively already, very once in a million chance.
2046  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Rise of Bitcoin on: July 30, 2020, 02:03:29 PM
But,to what extent bitcoin will raise more today?

if the price manages to stay above $10500 for a long time then will be ready to go try to break $ 13000 and remembering that the last time the price reached $13000 was a long time ago
Yeah I agree, just like what it did in $9K level, it breaks above and so it will be staying again for a quite some time in $10K BUT we aren't sure about this, it might decline a couple days from now or rise til $13K, technical analysis won't work, this is what I like in bitcoin, it gets exciting when it is moving.

Do you think ,what happened last 2018 will happen again this coming months?

definitely not

We cannot know but most of the prediction this may happen but it will climb very slow.

From the article, what I think the reason of the surge is the first one " Banks Stacking due to changes in custody rules ", dollar is weakening and so they need some haven and they believe on bitcoin. Good thing isn't it?
2047  Economy / Gambling / Re: ADVANTAGES OF CRYPTO BUSINESS on: July 30, 2020, 01:19:20 PM
It's easy to hear and read that anyone can start his crypto business or crypto casino but maintaining it is the hardest part of it. I'm interested of having my own crypto business but I know the qualities and challenges that I need to pass before making one.
It's hard to build or start alone, you'll be needing a team for it unless you can handle it single handedly which I highly doubt for a person to be. First things first, gathering a team to build each piece is easy, finding those who are really talented isn't, there are lot of people on the internet pretending they are professional editing some certification just to post it online and scam one's company. Starting these days is quite hard though the fruits are very tasty once you succeed.

If somebody shows interest for making his own casino, think of it as it's not just about making profit, it's about customer service and your reliability as a casino providing many things for the sake of your casino and taking care of customers.
Building your own reputation is the hardest I think, I'm not saying all but most of the new casinos don't achieve such enough reputation resulting to a small number of users, and they mostly end up closing. You're right, owner should not be just thinking bout' the money, can't gain it without intangible reputations.
2048  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Ripple ever reach $5 ? on: July 29, 2020, 08:55:09 PM
Ripple is not losing after the BTC pump, this is a good signal for the ripple holders!
I'm a little surprise actually seeing the price of XRP rises amidst the pandemic, I predicted it on staying low because of the global phenomena but then the father of all coins moved so it did. Where's are ripple people? your prayers are getting true haha

We are all waiting for the bull run time. I think that 3/3.5$ could be the right price of XRP, maybe 5$ is too much for the next 5 years but we will see!
No need to wait for the bull run, that thing is just an imagination if we all do buy it will increase obviously, if one whale buys a lot then we all should ride its wave. It is not impossible actually for the XRP to rise that high, but thinking that it is centralized hinder me from believing that, guess XRP will be at $1 or $2 for the next 1 year.
2049  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you make `Trading` profitable? on: July 29, 2020, 08:03:39 PM
~snip~
WARNING: I will say this is just a scam attempt (it's my opinion from my personal experience). I have seen a story almost a year ago that someone skipped with trader's funds. First, he had gained trust from traders and when he had accumulated a huge amount then simply skip and was told his wallet has been hacked. That's the reason why I don't trust who offers such a service. Especially such as a post from a newbie account is more suspicious.
That " ask him to help you " but that was just him lol poor being, go away with that poor shitty scam.

Good thing for you, you are very well equipped with knowledge that you can use in trading. And since you are experienced in trading, coz you said you are from trading stocks, I'm sure you are very aware of the terminologies and techniques in trading, and since crypto trading is easier than stock trading it's not surprising at all that you are doing good and have a very huge profit. Futures trading is risky though in lowest leverage, so you better watch out for this, don't be complacent.
2050  Other / Meta / Re: Huge donations to bitcointalk on: July 29, 2020, 06:03:25 PM
You may be forgetting that the bigger donations (as amount of Bitcoin) were made when Bitcoin was small, most probably under 200$.
Many of the spent Bitcoin may be also at low prices. This means that if you calculate everything at today's price of Bitcoin you'll be awfully wrong.

Mind boggling that it took 20 posts for this to be mentioned.

These days if you're happy to donate 50 BTC to become an official donator then more power to you but you're likely to be in a microscopic minority. Once upon a time that was 50 bucks and less which is when many of the donations would've been made. The origins of this forum came together before Bitcoin itself even had a price.
True, the size of the donation is relative to the price, you cannot compare the 50btc donation when the price is at $100 and 1btc donation as for the price now. Don't just mind the amount if someone donates, instead thank him/her for the donation, no need to calculate how much is it in $$$ and I guess theymos isn't waiting for the price to spend those bitcoins, he spends it no matter how much the price is.
2051  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should there be any age limit of Gambling? on: July 29, 2020, 05:27:46 PM
Age should matter in gambling especially with casinos, but most of casino out there don't have any KYC procedures not only to restrict below the legal age but also to provide a client privacy. That's why they are having a terms and condition for everyone, your age should be at least 18 to get to their platform, if you're not then you still can coz they won't know it, but if they do they will contact you calling for a platform ban. KYC on casino seems not a thing coz there are players who is not really into giving their identity.
2052  Economy / Economics / Re: Cash Is Trash on: July 29, 2020, 04:41:20 PM
People don't try new opportunities as they are comfortable with the ones that they were already using and they think its risky to invest money in new areas. Even I am one of those people, I know DeFi is now the future and yet I fear that I will lose money investing in DeFi projects but still I have a good friend of mine who advise me to hold LINK token and so I purchased some tokens and have been sitting on them from a little while. But cash is just trash and useless in these times when everyone is using and promoting digital means of payment.
There is no problem in investing but in pandemic times, cash is actually what people need. Many businesses were stopped due to this pandemic and our investments were also affected so for the meantime, cash is what you need to survive in this times.
Fiat is what people need these days, government started to aid some cash online using digital processors so every one can get theirs, and not crypto. Cash won't be gone forever, we will need it even if we fully adopted the digital and cryptocurrencies, there are things that is better traditional than being innovated. During the pandemic, most of us expected that crypto will be on the table of a larger scale but it ain't, instead the government make this time to think of a new digital system that will be running alongside with crypto.

I agree with hatshepsut that it's about being flexible in whichever season we are. In pandemic times or not, as long as you know how to adopt the situation and you know what's applicable to you being an investor or someone who wants to play safe.
If you got spare money then invest, there are lot of asset today that is on a price plunge, so better look for opportunities that lies within.
2053  Other / Meta / Re: Huge donations to bitcointalk on: July 28, 2020, 07:33:00 PM
I guess you OP you though of the donation is only for the mods and upper devs, you just can't believe the huge amount it received not thinking about the expenses they need to manage the forum.  Besides that is where mods are getting paid, they have job and it's not easy to maintain the forum's quality and credibility so why not donate some? @theymos is presenting the website's expenses every year, you might just want to look for those. Thanks to those people who have donated  Wink you guys are pretty awesome and supportive.
2054  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How much BTC would you need to buy to increase the price by 1 percent? on: July 28, 2020, 06:14:33 PM
hmm $91 million is a huge amount, and I think none of the whales are that aggressive to inject this sum of money in uncertain market, it's a risky trap for them to set up, people might wanna get lose if they see a 1% increase in bitcoin price. But we are seeing an increase of 1% to 2% every hour, does this mean that individuals do buy bitcoin amounting respectively to $91 million, and doubled? I don't really believe that whales don't talk to each other lol, at some point they have known each other and contacting everyone to do 1% increase.

So I'm just 0.0000001% of the 1% increased price. Poor being  Grin

2055  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: JETWIN CASINO HAS OFFICIALLY REFUSED TO PAY ANY OF MY 25,000 DOLLARS IN WINNINGS on: July 28, 2020, 05:29:04 PM
@Magdel2014
Has the story received any development?
Have there been any other messages from the support team? Or do they remain silent?
Do you continue to negotiate in telegrams?
Yea he should be updating this topic every once in a while, it's been 3 days ago since he got an email from the jetwin says his account is on hold for suspicion of violation under the terms and condition, then she(not sure if) have talked to the upper support level and I can't stop my eyebrows be banging each other after reading the convo. Is that how the upper support level of a casino talk to its client?

My very question is why is the fee too high? 0.2 bitcoin? the hell is wrong with this site, As I see it, they are trying to reduce the winning to save somehow. lmao.
2056  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slots are better than Dice. on: July 28, 2020, 04:31:07 PM
~snip~

I will go with the first comment, every game is good when you are winning. And we can win on all games, but not always, that's gambling, you can't win all the time, or you can if you have enough patience to wait for red streaks and play big after they pass, but that can be exhausting (I tried that). Of course, we need to have luck, everything depends on your bankroll and gambling style, if you play aggressive you will be close to get busted many times, and you need luck to survive that!

But as you said, we cannot always win because that will depend on luck, and luck will come only to the right person.
I don't thin that luck only goes to the right person, luck can be anywhere not just in a casino, there's no right or wrong person to have a luck, what you need is timing, in the right place and in the right time.

But I don't think that if we play big, it can help us win because that will only risk our money to get a big loss.
Having a huge amount to start with is quite advantageous if you know a strategy that will best fit with you and with your money, just like the martingale method if you got  bunch of money you are more likely to win. Yet still losses might come huge too if you didn't handle it right. If you got a small money and you enter in a casino don't expect to get those back when you exit, 20% of the time small bettors lose.

2057  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Name really matter in crypto? on: July 27, 2020, 08:50:34 PM
Well I must say that it matters somehow but it's not really the basis of the success of the coin, look at dogecoin it really looks like that it will fail from the start but it did not though it was a joke coin. But the name of the coin should really be relevant on the project purpose or aim, you don't wanna invest in a project whose coin named 'FRAUD', or 'SCAM' or 'RUN'. What makes a coins success is the team behind, the more experienced they are the more they know how to handle situation in times of difficult one. And as for crypto names, the more unique the more it will be in people's head.
2058  Other / Meta / Re: Youtube embedding on: July 27, 2020, 07:49:54 PM
how did you embed the video? it doesn't work when i try and do it.

You can't. Wink
Judging from this reply, that feature was deliberately disabled on the forum, so it's highly unlikely the admins would restore it. There are security/privacy implications as well as threads easily getting clogged.

Opening a separate tab is not much trouble and anyone interested in your content would look it up.
Yeah I would like to see this forum to be enclosed, no third party sites or any extension, plain is secured. Don't be a lazy frick to click the link and wait for the page to load, upgrade your internet!

And who's gonna watch a video linked below the post if the context is already in the text above. Maybe some. If that happens the forum would look like the 9gag lol.
2059  Other / Off-topic / Re: Quality War ( Europe vs China and India ) on: July 27, 2020, 06:35:53 PM
Fourthly, in India most of the population don't even touch any kind of non vegetarian food and follows a perfect vegetarian diet so should we consider ourselves superior than Europeans?
Europeans and Americans have long been in some sort of hype about their supermacy. Now if two new countries whom they labelled third world are actually beating their Economy they are talking about protectionism.

You guys poop on beaches ...
I'm not an Indian, I'm laughing at this right now lol.

and you eat with your hands ... you Indians should be the last persons on earth that give morals about hygiene ...
And I'm laughing at you with this, it is okay to eat with bare hands even here in my country we do that, did your grandfather told you that God created Adam and Eve with spoon and fork? haha eating with bare hands in other countries is part of the culture and if you respect one then you'll be welcomed.  What I find wrong in eating with bare hands is if it is dirty, that would look dull and disgusting to every one.

You should not be basing with this video lol you did not even visited the India yet, there are Indians who can buy you yacht.
2060  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Some gamblers have been arrestes in Bangladesh for money laundering through bitc on: July 27, 2020, 04:33:29 PM

You are just selling BTC to anyone interested. You are not an investigator on the people you sold BTC to. Just like a money exchanger accepting clients without necessarily investigating whether they are going to use it for crimes or not. How would you know?
I forgot to mention that BTC itself is illegal in our country which is the major reason of my fear. I sometimes sold BTC to unknown guy and that's what I'm fearing of. If it was legal, I would have nothing to fear at all.
The news I've read a couple of years go about bangladesh towards bitcoin still frightens me, Imagine they started hunting their own citizen who uses bitcoin, trades bitcoin and any activities that relates to cryptocurrencies. Imagine how hard for that for crypto user in Bangladesh, yet still they trusting the decentralized network of bitcoin for not getting caught, one mistake and you'll be arrested. Thinking of it all, police are going to do as much as the agents needs to do to track a person using alphanumeric address.

And OP, just for a safer transaction avoid making a connection with a lot of people especially in facebook, just a friendly reminder.
