Pique for sure is one of the greats, both for Barcelona and for his national team.
Unfortunately, his performances dropped by a lot and he's been on the bench a lot this season - so this decision makes sense.
He could still play but he's leaving at the right time if you ask me. Busquets would be smart to think about it as well.
Surprised to hear the news that Gerard Pique announced that he would soon retire at the age of 35 to coincide with the last 1 match against Almeria which was his last match. many of his relatives and friends were surprised to hear this because at the age of 35, usually football players will spend their careers in relatively easy leagues such as MLS. but I saw some tweets from the legends of barcelona who judged that barcelona did not really appreciate his services this season because in addition to not getting more playing minutes, pique also had to receive a 2x salary cut from the crisis experienced by barcelona this season. Yes, I agree. He is a great player, but his age is taking a toll on his performance. So, I think he has made the right decision. I used to be an Adesanya fan when he first came in the UFC. But as time passed along, he became really cringey in interviews and press conferences. And when it's time to fight his match in the cage, he became a bit boring the last couple matches. It's prolly for stylistic reasons but still... He got a bit boring. But this one vs Pereira could get dicey for him as you guys already know why. Then again could we see Adesanya add some wrestling in his game? I think we could see Adesanya do more than a couple of TD's. Dunno... I feel like he has to.
Maybe he was always like that and we just didn't know him well before he signed contract with UFC. He is not boring for me to watch, and some spoiled people are expecting fighters should always perform with KO's like monkeys in circus, it doesn't work like that. Adesanya always liked to play on safe side to receive smallest amount of punches possible, or he would end up like Diaz brothers with bloody scar faces. ^ LMAO. It's not that I'm being spoiled and want more action or anything. I do appreciate the finer parts of the game which I've def seen some people find it boring like the wrestling and the grappling side of MMA. It's just Adesanya talks big, almost berating his opponents and then when it gets in the cage, nothing... It was just the last three of his last matches tho. And the one vs Yoel Romero. His fights were lack luster as main events in PPV events after his loss vs Błachowicz is all I'm saying. Looks like I'm not the only one who expect Warriors to win this game.  After leading double digits, they lost by only a point to a team who is also struggling and has a losing streak that has snapped because of this win. Now the Warriors are in a 4-game losing streak and currently at the bottom position. What could be the possible problem with the Warriors? For me, I think they are experimenting with their younger players. I mean they are developing those young players by giving them more minutes and they will see if it will be beneficial for the team to keep them or to just trade them. I don't know any more reason, but anybody can share their opinions as to why the Warriors started like this. Overall, I will still pick the Warriors as the team to beat this season and they have a chance to go back-to-back because their core players are still there, and they've added more shooters in Poole and Wiggins. Maybe their defense went down because of GPII being traded but still they are the one of the best teams offensively and we might see it at the mid part till the end of the season and in the playoffs. And they lost again to the Magic, and it's a hard lost because they have a chance to win in the end, but Klay missed that shot. And despite the effort of Curry to carry the team, they again fell short. They belt a huge lead but the Magic keeps coming back. And then in the 4th, when I thought that everything is lost already, they comeback, tie and even take the lead in the closing minutes. I agree that their defense has gone down a lot since their second stringers like Gary Payton are no longer there. I think this is their worst start since the Curry lead era. Magic surprisingly comes back and snatches this game away from GSW. I was thinking that it was a blowout when GSW established that huge lead after the first half. But, the really starts when 2nd half starts, it was the Magic patience and determination that keeps them alive and really steps up to even the game in the last few minutes of the game. Bad loss for the Warriors. They need to talk this one out and review why they keep losing a huge lead during the last minutes defense needs to be adjust base from how I assess the system. This was a very exciting match and a very close match as well. I really thought the Golden State Warriors should have done better as a team because I only saw Stephen Curry playing excellently on this team. He basically carried the whole game for the Warriors. I don’t think the other players actually contributed anything close to what Stephen Curry did. But on the other hand, the Orlando Magic had a good game overall because almost everyone contributed to the team. It was not a single-man show and that is a big reason why they were able to win this match. After winning the toss, the Afghanistan captain decided to field. And the bowlers have been able to perform their duties properly. Australia set a target of just 168 runs in 20 overs. Australia's batting line-up is strong. I thought Australia would give a target of at least 180+. Although Australia started the innings well, their batting in the last 4 overs was very poor. Australia collected only 25 runs in the last 4 overs. At least 40 runs should have been collected in the last 4 overs.
Afghanistan bowlers Farooqi, Naveen, and Rashid Khan performed very well. Due to the responsible bowling of these three bowlers, they were able to restrict Australia to 168 runs. 168 is not a very big target. If Afghanistan's top-order batsmen play well in this match, Afghanistan has a chance to win.

If we want to be rich, we have to work non-stop, work while others are sleeping, have to get up every time we fail...and the important thing as you mentioned: use money to make money, don't let it enrich the bank. Are you watching the matches, Bangladesh have a good bowling line up and it is the best they have in their history and you think that they are not improving in finding quality players. How about the performance of Taskin Ahmed, Mustafizur Rahman. Development is not an instant process, it takes time grooming a generation of players right from the school days.
Players such as Taskin and Mustafizur have been around for quite some time now. These are experienced players and not rookies. Although they bowled well during the last couple of matches, they have failed to perform consistently. Taskin Ahmed is the same guy who went for 46 runs (from 3 overs) against South Africa. The only player in the XI who perform consistently is Litton Kumer Das. He is gradually becoming the backbone of the team, and has been able to reduce the overdependence on Shakib Al Hasan. @Sithara007 do you really believe that Bangladesh can revive themselves, because I feel that over the year’s they have failed to reinvent themselves. Furthermore there was a time when they used to cause upsets by beating the favourite team’s, but now days they hardly beat anyone hence it’s a long way for them to reclaim their lost glory. The problem with Bangladesh cricket team is that they do improve but not at the rate which they should. Bangladesh should have played better in recent times. Pakistan scored 101 runs in 13.1 overs and lost 5 wickets. Mohammad Haris he scored very few runs in this match I think. He scored 28 runs off 11 balls. If he could have scored a few more runs it would have been good. Pakistan is moving towards a bigger collection. They collected 135 runs in 16 overs. Probably they will be able to give more than 170 targets. And so decent enough target to win. Because Pakistan has some very talented bowlers. The way Pakistan started their innings, I thought it would be difficult for them to even score 120 runs. Their collection was only 43 runs in the first 7 overs. And in the next 7 overs they collected 62 runs. Mohammad Haris scored 28 runs off just 11 balls. Iftikhar was unbeaten with 41 runs off 28 balls. And Shadab scored 22 runs off 11 balls. With Shadab and Iftikhar at the crease it will be very easy for Pakistan to collect more than 180. Pakistan set a huge target of 186. I didn't think Pakistan would be able to deliver such a big target. They could have collected more than 190 if they played well in the last over. Pakistan probably scored 6 runs in the last over. Shadab Khan managed to score 52 runs off just 22 balls. Outstanding performance. The target is very big though. Even so, it cannot be said that South Africa's chances of victory are less. The performance of South Africa's batsmen has been quite good in the previous matches. I'd say both teams still have a 50-50 chance of winning. |

It is very hard for every cricket board to make even one squad late alone make a different squad for a different format of cricket.
Just look at Bangladesh. They have been playing for so long but still they are not able to make separate teams for separate cricket formats.

And I would say that is enough collection to win against a team like Bangladesh. And India will win today by a big margin.
Although Taskin, Mustafiz, and Shakib bowled well enough. Youngsters Shoriful and Hasan gave plenty of runs. Shoriful conceded 57 runs in his 4 overs. Hasan took three wickets but gave away 47 runs. I would say their bowling was poor today due to a lack of experience.
At the end of 5.4 overs, Bangladesh collected 58 runs without losing any wickets. Liton Das is batting well. I have never seen such great batting from a Bangladeshi batsman before. Nothing, and it will pass with the disappearance of the terrorist regime and the country  November will be much harsher as war intensifies, grain contracts are suspended, which will push us into the same food shortages as previous months and is likely to push inflation even higher. The Fed will announce rates tonight and we could very well see bloodshed in financial markets once again. Brooklyn is a tire fire currently. I think they did Steve Nash a favor by letting him go. Look at the shit he had to deal with. Kyrie wouldn't get vaccinated, Durant trying to force a trade, Durant trying to get him fired, and now Kyrie with his antisemitism stuff. That team is just insane the last couple years. Nash will get another job if he really wants it.
I guess it's forthcoming, remember before the season started, there were some pressure from the management coming from a a player that wanted to get rid of Nash.
And so he won again, Nash left the Nets, and whatever he says, it's a bad separation in my opinion. Not sure about Ham, the Lakers could have too much faith in him right now.
I think it is actually better for him that he has left. The things that Brooklyn had to go through in recent times were absolutely unbelievable. All the bullshit that the players did was not good for the team or even for their careers as well. They have lost a game to Chicago Bulls recently. Which I might add, I did not expect Brooklyn to win, to be honest. When these types of things are going on in the team it is more difficult for the players to bring in the desired results. T20 World cup is in progress that's why there isn't any ODI going on any test country. Only big boards like Aus , England or India can afford such tournaments in there domestic setups. There isn't any attraction for test and ODI these days and these formats are not financially beneficial for boards.
Ideally this should not happen. Boards should have separate squads for test, ODI and T20. But from what we have seen, only one or two countries such as India and England can afford to do so. And in countries such as Zimbabwe, they have the same squad for all the three formats. And this is detrimental to the future of all the three varieties. There are older fans, who don't like the T20 format. Since there have been any cricket other than T20 during the last 3-4 months, these guys will be left without any means of entertainment from cricket. It is very hard for every cricket board to make even one squad late alone make a different squad for a different format of cricket. Just look at Bangladesh. Actually, that could have been possible if cricket had a base like football in the league setup. But they don't have anything like that. Despite playing with 10 men, Verona can make it difficult for AS Roma to score goals. It took until the last 2 minutes in normal time for them to score a goal. With their situation like that, it is a good achievement for Verona even though at the end they still lost 1-3 to their guests. But I saw how AS Roma faced difficulties from the start, which made me a little worried about them if they had a stronger opponent than Verona. Jose Mourinho must be able to further mature the team he holds in order to be more convincing again to become a strong competitor to win the Scudetto this season.
Yes, Verona almost managed to hold Roma to a draw by only playing with 10 players. Roma should have actually gone ahead with Abraham twice, they missed two very good chances. After that, Verona scored the first goal of the game. Right after that, they received a red card for their actions. However, they still continue to perform well despite the fact that they are losing. but, 10 v 11 match ended up being a little too much for them to handle. Eventually, they started leaving gaps in the defense. And eventually, Roma did win the match. But it was towards the end of the match. Initially, I thought that Verona was going to be able to get away with a point from this match, in the end, that was not the case. However, I would like to see Abraham's finishing improve next match. |

And Atletico Madrid are officialy out of not only the Champions League but also the Europa League now. Because Leverkusen drew with Club Brugge 0-0 and Atletico Madrid are about to lose by 2-0 to Porto now. I'm surprised with Atletico Madrid's being this much bad against Porto. I thought that they would at least get a draw and secure the third spot in their group. While I'm writing this they scored a goal by the way but it is still very difficult for them to make it 2-2 in a very short time. It is not a thing they didn't do before though. I'd like to remind you of their previous matchup against Porto which they won by the goals came in the stoppage time.  But I don't think it will happen again.  I lost my money in Leverkusen vs Brugge match. My prediction for this match is Brugge to win. And I thought Brugge would dominate and win this match. But we don't see that. Brugge could not win this match. The match was a goalless draw. Brugge did not perform too well. Brugge's players performed very carefully in this match and played a completely defensive strategy. Porto vs Atletico Madrid match was quite enjoyable. However, Bamathis' result is 2-1. But the players of Atletico Madrid were not able to score any goal. Atletico Madrid needs more experienced strikers. |

Daniel levy ( chairman of Tottenham) have told paratici that he will support Antonio Conte in the January transfer window and the coach has already told the sporting director that he will need a striker,a midfielder and a defender. For me I know he Will be looking for inter Milan Bastonni or a player of that calibre, because you can't have Sanchez and Tanganga at the bench and still be going for a defender who is average,then in midfield he won be going for a defensive midfielder he will go for an offensive one, the type that can create goal scoring opportunity in tight areas, I think he will go back for zaniolo at Roma then the attacking won't be a young one like Bryan Gil he will go for something similar to kulusevski and Richarlison.
At this point, I am not even trying to argue about anything. I am going to say, "just shut up and give him the money." If he can bring in good results with that money, awesome. But if he does not bring in positive results, and by that, I mean winning the English Premier League, you are going to sack him anyway. So, I would say that instead of thinking too much, just give him what he wants. I am actually confident that with some talented players on the team he will be able to bring in better results. But he will have to bring in players wisely because he does have decent players in the squad. But those players are not able to synergize with the other players on the team well and that's why he is unable to use them. |
