I did it many times back when my addiction is very high, I promise not to gamble after I lose a big amount I even swear that I will not, but the following day I'm back even promising to be better and not lose a big amount again.

This happens to me. I have never made a vow to stop gambling all together but I have told my self that I won't gamble for a few days to one week. Most times this happens when I've had too many series of losses or when I've had a big loss. There is this feeling that I'm missing out on a lot when I decide not to play. Like "what if its this period that I'd win". It is this thought that makes me go back to gambling before the time I was suppose to. Keeping to self promises like that requires a certain level of discipline. I'm at that point where if I say I don't want to gamble then I wont gamble. Not only you my friend, it tends to happen to almost everyone who has had a fair share of gambling life and I am also a victim of such vows and at the end of everything I just call it a time of break from gambling and its better that way since I know that its very hard to stop the act but knowing your limit is what every gambler should do to avoid such situation. |

Sorry to put it out but this isn’t the right way to go about investment. You can ask people to just send DM and you trust the suggestion of a total stranger which may turn out to be a scammer. I am sure that anyone that would be sending you PM would mostly be someone that would want to promote there shitcoins.
If seriously you’re actually in for investing and then you would need to go through everything yourself and the only cryptocurrency that fits your criteria for retirement investment is bitcoin. But even that needs some knowledge on Its security and the rest. If you are truly interested in investing in them which I doubt from your post then read through the pin charts on the forum or other articles. If you need help ask it by creating a thread and stop asking for people to PM you to avoid something that I am sure would lead to you been scammed

We're living on this world and its era where nobody gives an F to nobody. That's why people do gamble no matter what situation he's in, a gambler will be one. There is a bad result on this one that whether we're a gambler, we'd still remain a gambler and if we've got nothing to gamble anymore, that's where crimes will enter. It's sad that people resort with that option because they've been addicted and that's the reason who's engaged in gambling to protect yourself by having your self control and also by providing yourself. If you can't gamble with any of your money then at least also please don't gamble with others money.
I believe that the issue with addiction is that, it works inline with our instinct and base on individual frame of mind, gambling should indeed be done with your own money and also with an amount one can afford to part away with, this is because, sometime the outcome of gambling may not be favorable and at that one need to have that self control and limits so that you ain't losing more than you can afford. So if a gambler already has this frame of mind, it then means that the next thing is to cave out the amount that will be in proportion to what you intend to spend on a bet, also avoid borrowing to bet and crime should be avoided. When one borrows to gamble or commits a crime just to gamble,it means that addiction is what controls that person. Gambling should be done with caution and self-control to avoid addiction. Gambling is done in a free will,no matter that some gamblers abuse gambling and make it look like gambling is for irresponsible or a wayward person. If you gamble with funds that you can afford to loss,nobody will know that you are gambling because it will not show in your lifestyle. People that allows their gambling life to be seen by other people is because they gamble a lot without reserve. Learning of bitcoin should be based on interest and not by force. If you try to teach someone about bitcoin and that person is not showing any interest, it is better that you forget about it,and try to talk to someone else who will be interested on it. I don't know of anybody, but, speaking for myself, I really have no time to Force knowledge on someone who doesn't show interest or who is not ready to learn what I am educating them about. In the past, I tried to teach my nephew a few things about Bitcoin, but although it was a free day for me, I was just thinking of how to happily spend that day with my family. Apart from that, I think it is better to educate people who are in need of education rather than educating people who are not even ready to accept what you are saying. Educating someone about something that doesn't catch their interest is just an absolute waste of time and energy, so I agree with your topic. Most people that I have talked to about Bitcoin were people who really had a big interest in it, and I gave it to only a few of them because the time was not There to educate them all, and I will not have the chance to do that as well. If you are still holding, and probably later bought more In the deep, then a big congratulations to you mate, bitcoin is now a little above $30k, I believe this is the second time we are seeing this price this year, this is another prove that every bitcoin dip is an opportunity to buy cus the price will always rise back the highs again. And for how I am feeling right now, I feel that I am not ready for the coming bull run yet, I need more time to accumulate more bitcoin and maybe some other major altcoins before the bull run kicks in, I missed 2017/2018, missed 2020/2021, I must not miss this 2023/2024 , I believe the current move up in the price of bitcoin is just a reminder to us that the halving is fast approaching and all should get set for another profitable year in crypto. Am with you on this my friend, although I don't have any portfolio with on any altcoins as am still trying to gather up some nice stalk of BTC and like you said every dip is actually a major opportunity for me to buy and hodl. This year has been a good year so far compared to last year bloody fiasco with so many saga which affected the market and was kind of blessing too as the price went so low which was exactly pitch perfect for buying. |
