It's a matter of hours now... the bull pressure is to big, marketcap is still tiny, we can grow a lot in a matter of minutes if more money keeps coming in. I think we will see 700 before the halving, we can break the resistance without major problems.

Good post. I know a bunch of people that are simply lazy ass persons that just can't take the time to get Bitcoin Core downloaded, or AT LEAST Electrum and put the god damn bitcoins in a locally generated seed. What's so difficult about it? Im not even telling them to get a Trezor, I mean this shit is free.
But a lot of them wouldn't listen. They keep their bitcoins in the exchanges the use to buy and trade, they keep their bitcoins in those sites that generate bitcoin interest like Hashocean. I have told them Hashocean and all those sites are ponzis but they wouldn't listen. Then they will cry about Bitcoin not being secure... they just never learn.

i won't say it not possible but there is nothing immortal in this world but with growth bitcoin currently may be bitcoin will survive at least for next 20 years but it all only my predictions and could be wrong
yes I hope your predictions really real and bitcoin last 20 years Your thread makes no sense to be honest. It seems that your english is broken and just makes no grammatical sense. You ask "Bitcoin until 2030", but you give 0 reasons of why Bitcoin would "stop existing" in 2030. This is just silly. Please give what reasons have you read about Bitcoin "stopping" in 2030, otherwise this is just trash, to be frank.

Bitcoin is first of all, a better gold. Bitcoin as an actual currency where you buy everyday stuff is secondary, and will come later on. Points of sale (as in physical shops accepting Bitcoin) is the last phase of adoption. By then, people owning 2 figure BTCs will be rich and shopping will all be done in mBTC, and the price will be more stable due the high marketcap. We will also have Lightning to provide for massive amounts of volume.
Im not sure what will happen to alts, im only holding BTC long term.

Since halving is still 28 days away, is it a good time to buy bitcoins now and sell it after halving? Though the price just rised rapidly.
People have been asking this since Bitcoin was 200 dollars.. so you can buy now or keep asking when the ideal price to buy Bitcoin is. Also good luck when trying to sell, you may miss on having a ticket to moon when you think you are doing a great short.

I think that after gambling for some time you somehow become "skilled" at knowing when to stop. You develop a feel about it like a 6th sense that tells you: "stop now you idiot". I dont want to call it skill tho, but it's something strange. It doesn't mean you will win more, just lose less.

My biggest loss was during a ame of progressive slot wins. I started with 0.1 BTC and worked my luck all the way up to more than 4 BTC, but I was too greedy and instead of cashing out I simply spent my time playing more and more.
I went from 0.1 BTC, to 4 BTC in 10 minutes, and from 4 BTC, to 0 BTC in 20 minutes.
I didn't cry tho..
You should cry. It is healthy, let it all out. You will feel a lot better when you release your emotions. This has been scientifically documented. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/benefits-of-a-good-cry-crying-science_us_55dca26fe4b0a40aa3ac4e30Otherwise, your emotions will be suppressed and you will never know when the negative feelings will strike you. Nah I didn't feel like crying. I was just mad for some time, but it did not last, because at the end of the day I only lost 0.1 BTC. If I had actually put 4 BTC to end up to 0, then yes I would cry and be mad for a month or two.

I found this picture posted somewhere and I think it's perfect to illustrate how bitcoin is a new type of money never seen before which has better characteristics than anything else we've ever had: ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Foi66.tinypic.com%2F555nox.jpg%26t%3D565%26c%3DEbNcicQkuP-51Q&t=664&c=PgFs-OmNAooJ_A)

Bitcoin has teach me to value my money. I was never like this before, I would always buy all kind of meaningless shit. Since I am into bitcoin, I have learned to save and give more value to money. Bitcoin is too valuable for mundane stuff.

With sidechains we don't need to have the annoyance of having to maintain additional blockchains and having to deal with additional tokens which is just stressful. Maybe some find a niche Bitcoin but bitcoin will reaming the king.
All those devs promising a Bitcoin-killer are all talk and no code to be seen. Bitcoin has no real competition, sorry. Start buying and stop dreaming.

Those apps are way too popular to add something like Bitcoin yet. Most people don't know what Bitcoin is. In Steam is different since gamers are into computers, and may benefit from BTC. FB, IG users and so on are too dumb to benefir from Bitcoin yet, but we will get there eventually.

The most effective way that I have found to teach about Bitcoin is to make an analogy with Bitorrent. Most people know how torrent works, people connect to each other and there is no "bittorrent building" hosting all the files. With bitcoin is the same, but people host the blockchain instead of movies music etc.

Bitcoin is steady growing and getting better. For the past 7 years it has never stopped evolving. Anyone that knows how to put things into perspective see the improvements being done. 7 years may seem a lot of time, but its nothing in the grand scheme of things. We will conquer the world, we are on the right track.

I mean in a more mainstream way)

Actually I thought about starting a website where you can play live poker against other people online and you are forced to use a webcam to reveal your face to other players so it would feel a bi more like real life poker, but im sure it already exists even before I google for it..

Does someone has any suggestions how to make 17 BTC with 7 BTC starting capital in short period of time?
If you are willing to risk try to make trading, You can be a dev if you have that kind of btc, You can almost make your own coin with that btc. Its up to you, Gaining is risking I think to create a new altcoin you need a great programmer and you know the ins and outs of coin or cryptocurrency. and you need a lot of capital to pay for the promotion and so forth. create a altcoin not certain that it will make you rich because not every altcoin can become famous ? Actually, any idiot can create an altcoin nowadays. There are literally programs that will create altcoins for you. Of course those programs are very limited in what you can do (you can change total supply, mining algo etc..) that's all. But then again, with a proper marketing scheme, you can pump an altcoin even it if offers shit nothing new. Example: Dogecoin.

You will need a lot and that is because you have to know that the value of Bitcoin will always change and that is the problem and also the most risky thing. Of course it will be really hard to know what is going to happen with Bitcoin itself but to earn money you have to take some risks.
Well, if you want to be rich in it then you do need bitcoin as much as possible. Everyone wants to have the BTC 100 or more at the time, but now we just need to work hard so that it can be realized 100 BTC is way too much for 99% of people to buy at current price, it's simply too late to aim for 100, and as price goes higher it will be even harder. The good news is, 21 BTC goal to be part of 1 million club is still reachable with hard work and dedication and smart investments.

im sure it can...but it will take a long time to make bank dissapear... but make sure that all people know what is btc...in my country just a less people know bitcoin...
I agree with you,BITCOIN can make banks disaapear ,although it's need a long time,it's not mean BITCOIN can't. Just like how fiat money had barter system and other older terms of payment replaced, bitcoin will replace fiat money as well. Some people might not think of it as a possibility as of today, but it surely will. In the future, we will live in a place where everything is digital so the currency should be digital as well. Once the robots take over, the purely digital age will begin. An era where your money will be recorded online. Yes true in the future will live where many people have digital currency. But to eliminate the banks is very unlikely because banks have legal protection. And because I think they can not be equated. but I think, people might prefer a bank rather than bitcoin, and bitcoin I think the future will only be a competitor for the bank, and the bank will not make disappear I'm also thinking this, I think the bitcoin can never do this, the bitcoin is simply just too small compared with the banks nowadays. You first say it can "never" do this, then you say "nowadays"... so decide if never or currently, because your sentence lacks sense. Bitcoin will make banks obsolete if banks don't adapt to Bitcoin. There will always be people that want other people to hold their money for them, so "Bitcoin banks" will emerge.

Buy and holding 80% of what I make while investing 20% in researched market moves seems like the best idea and what is making me have the most profits. I take a conservative approach because I was sure that sooner or later price would go up, so holding most of it would be the most efficient way to raise my wealth.
