2041  Economy / Speculation / Re: Halving effects, how long they will last? on: May 09, 2023, 03:28:01 PM
In 2020 I remember it was quite lethargic post halvening, its really not obvious or deliberate effect at this point the alteration to block reward is only alongside other factors.    Biggest clue is take both components of the price as relevant to direction so BTC but also Dollar, we must look up DXY and its direction.   The ideal is DXY is weakening and comparing to 2020 that especially occur until July of that year, BTC did respond and outperform in July 2020 I remember much surprise into just the last couple weeks closing out the month.    That drifted back until autumn and then really took off,  my clue is something like that but also a pattern of the lowest prices rising consistently over months; that would reference 2017 also a large gain started small.
Last halving happened on May and the positive effect started appearing on October. There was a gap of about 5 months, which is expected. That is why some predictions say even though next halving is going to happen in 2024, we may see a strong bull run only in 2025, because that is the time it takes until the halving impacts the market and investors' mindsets considerably.

Dollar index can boost the bull run in both directions, strengthening or weaking it, depending its currently status after the halving. Inflation rates in US can also influence Bitcoin's fluctuations.
2042  Economy / Speculation / Re: Halving effects, how long they will last? on: May 08, 2023, 11:36:03 PM
I honestly have no high expectation in this regard, halving usually only massive around when the rumour spreads and then went downhill after that, there have been several of such similar case in which halving didn't have any effect but I guess the effect is going after certain time has passed that's when the market realized that there are fewer and fewer bitcoin mined.
That is not true. Of course there is always a massive hype after the halving followed by a correction in price which brings BTC to a bear market, but even with the bearish market after the bullish season the price is still pretty decent compared to previous cycles.

but honestly though just don't put too much high expectation in this event, there are many more other thing that might make the bitcoin rises even more like being invested heavily by large corporation.
but for the sake of not missing chance and opportunity just be ready to accumulate some of the bitcoin maybe things will be different this time around after all, what is not possible in cryptocurrency market in general.
The halving is one of the most important events along Bitcoin history and probably the one investors have most expectations of a positive impact over Bitcoin price. If you don't have great expectation regards this event, I really don't know what excites you the most about what can happen to Bitcoin futurely.
2043  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Aliens accept BTC, What about newborns? on: May 08, 2023, 09:34:26 PM
It depends on who is going to be the master and who is going to be the vassal... The determining factor must the technology each species hold. If we, humans, are more advanced than the hypothetical alien species, then our way of life will be imposed to them, including the digital currency. On the other hand, if they are more advanced we don't have any alternative besides accepting their rule.

That is, if aliens really exist, because it seems everything which was told about this matter so far are just conspiracy theories and the more we advance technologically less evidences about aliens are exposed. It was easy to fake signals of UFOs before 2010's, when cameras had low resolution. Now things are different.
2044  Economy / Economics / Re: How to increase profit in business on: May 08, 2023, 09:13:33 PM
That's a very good tip from the op, knowing how to treat and attend to customers i believe is one of the major ways to grow a business really fast, this is because, customers are the best marketers, promoters of any business, the power to make a business really big, or to destroy the business is in their hands, this is why every business owner out there must treat their customers well..

As a business owner, if you like, advertise your business on the television and radio station, have your products pasted in every billboard in town, if every customers that have patronized you are not happy with your service or way of treatment, and will not come back to patronize you again, be rest assured that business will collapse in the long run, except something changes before then.
That is how a business build its reputation: treating their customers like kings, so they will share the word about the business with everyone around them and will surely come back for more. Of course that is not the sole reason which takes the business to the next level, because there is also the quality aspect of the goods and services offered by the house which is taken into consideration by customers.

In my opinion these two factors are equally essential for the success and increasement of its profitability. If you have one, but don't have the other, I fear the business is fated to failure and bankruptcy...
2045  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How's your gambling experience right now? on: May 08, 2023, 04:48:31 PM
One or few days away from gambling won't kill anyone. Better to just wait the fees to return to its normal average price again. There is a lot of speculation going on Bitcoin's blockchain through NFTs and worthless crap tokens, but once it's over the fees will come back to the normal again.

By there you can convert some fiat to altcoins from alternative blockchains to deposit at casinos paying lower fees. But just in case you are really decided to gamble for next days, while Bitcoin's transactions are extremely expensive.
2046  Economy / Economics / Re: Would you consider moving abroad? on: May 08, 2023, 02:55:37 PM
To move abroad is always a thought that has passed through our minds at least once. We, human beings, are constantly seeking for better opportunities, life quality and "the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence", especially when we live in countries where economical and social crisis are constant and affect our daily routine negatively.

However, it's not an easy decision to make, because we end weighting the pros and cons of this important decision. We have family, relatives, friends in our native country. The living costs are cheaper and people are probably more friendly to you than in a foreigner country. You are used to your local culture and traditions. We fear to not adapt ourselves in an environment that is completely different from the one we live in.

Those are possible dilemmas faced by many people who think about moving abroad. Personally, I really would like to try moving to a first world country to see how it works for real, but then I must be financially and professionally prepared for that first. Without these requirements, I wouldn't venture myself...
2047  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in Bitcoin in Student Life on: May 07, 2023, 11:45:19 PM
Very few of the students take the right decision when it comes to investment. What Op have done is really appreciable. The best part he himself have decided to go with it avoiding the deposits into banks and other investments. Surely he'll enjoy the goodness of bitcoin investment in the long run. In most of the countries the legality of bitcoin isn't officially announced. Each and everyone use it believing that the country takes the positive stand. Nothing to worry about the country OP reside, just continue to do the best investing regularly and spread the word about it.
The main difficult faced by students is that they don't have much money to invest, because they have many obligations due to the studies and extra expenses it implies to them, such as rent, transport and food. Many students reach the end of the month with nothing left on their pockets, so they really don't have how to invest. And the money saved by their parents along the life is usually used to pay for their education.

It's great to hear when a student is saving some money and investing in BTC, but since it's not the most usual scenario, they will have an opportunity to start investing in Bitcoin decently only when they reach the professional stage of their lives, that is, when they start working for real on the area they are studying for.
2048  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Chat GTP destroy poker on-line gambling??? on: May 07, 2023, 04:53:56 PM
People are giving too much exaggeration with the ChatGPT that's why it looks like can beat the system, this tool can be used to gather data this data will now serve as an ideal to make a decision what are the possible strategy you would like to take a risk for defeating your opponent and the game itself. But of course, those are the statistics and probability to get winning but stating you could win every game seems far from reality. Get Information, gather the data, execute the analysis, play the game and get some luck.
Yes, the bot can be useful as an advisor, but it's not a fortune teller, anyway. Let's check an example of how ChatGPT assists players during a poker game:

As we can see, there is nothing guaranteed. It doen't give certain movements towards victory, because there are many variables, which are obvious by the usage of words such as "it's possible", "let's say" and "if" by the AI. Everything is hypothetical because we don't know (including AI) what cards other players have on their hands.
2049  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling or gaming sites on: May 07, 2023, 03:45:25 PM
I  agree with you mate, deliberately entering an unprotected website is very risky, and I personally advice against it, it is even more dangerous for pc users, but this is not to say that mobile users are safe in any, I've a first hand experience, where someone posted a link with an interesting caption on Facebook, the caption captivated me. And I was interested to find out more about the content, so I clicked on the website to open it, chrome warned me that the website I was about visiting is unprotected, even hid the ignore and proceed button, I worked my way around and found the ignore warning and proceed button, opened the site, went through the content for like 2 minutes, I found out the content wasn't as interesting as I thought, I closed the website, visiting my app drawer, I discovered 5 different apps have downloaded and installed itself on my mobile phone, and looked like some more were still downloading in the background cus my phone was getting really hot.

Long story short, it later lead to me resetting my phone back to its factory settings, this was the only way to regain my phone back, because it happened that each time I turn on my data connection, I begin to see different apps being downloaded and installed on my phone and no way to stop it.
Thankfully you didn't lose your mobile device or suffered any other negative impact due to this invader virus. Things get really concerning when money is stolen from digital wallets or personal documents are accessed and used by criminals at a global level for their schemes.

With so many legit, protected and trustful virtual casinos nowadays, I don't understand why people still look for shady, sketchy and dangerous platforms to play which can potentially harm the players in different ways, which don't include only the threats we mentioned above, but also the possibility of having a withdrawal denied or the provably fair feature being inexistent on those websites.
2050  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling or gaming sites on: May 07, 2023, 02:43:49 PM
These websites are too strange to me and I will feel unsafe to send any deposit to such weird-looking websites, where are you guys getting your confidence? I will like to know, because OP you should not talk about these websites in the first place, how can you trust such websites? The links are not even protected, this is a big read flag because something malicious can be injected into your browser through is websites. If you are on a PC do not open those links.

Some gaming websites works in the same way as playing a roulette on a gambling website, but the difference is some games are skills-based, the better you are at playing the games the higher chance you have to make some money fast.

I voted for we'll reputable gambling platforms and projects, if you use one of the websites that OP dropped on here you are at your own risk, even if something goes wrong there is no way you can tackle the devs, they are unknown, the reason why this forum is reliable is because those projects can be embarked on here, if they care about their accomplishments they will solve your problems.
I had the same impression. Both websites were flagged as unprotected by Brave browser, so I didn't feel I should go ahead in anyways. We never know what can get into our devices if we use unprotected websites deliberately. There are so many hacking, viruses and phishing attempts nowadays that we must be careful regards each and every link we open online.

I think OP should have added at least a warning on his post about this aspect of the links he shared, so everyone would be aware they aren't clicking a protected link beforehand.
2051  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where do you look for information about new project/coin? on: May 06, 2023, 08:56:35 PM
Yes, you can learn a lot from the project website. But it's good to find different sources of information when you want to invest in something. Also, it is good to know what people are talking about it through, e.g., social media.
I tend to agree but make sure the group is genuine.
I've done this before, I joined a bounty campaign such as social media and I followed the progress of the project but I saw in their social media don't have genuine members, there was no clear engagement and it should have been discussion engagement on their social media profiles.   Ask yourself, "are there active discussions and responses from the community, or is it just a one-way conversation?", and lastly, check if their followers and engagement are genuine or if they have purchased fake followers or engagement, same as Twitter or more worse Telegram.

So you must be careful also what you're following on social media.
To check if followers of a project are organic on a social media is a good measure to avoid scams. This way you can relatively trace the profile of the investors of that project: they can be dived into the technical aspect of cryptocurrency, they can be wealthy investors, average crypto investors, just bounty hunters or even bots, that is the worst of the cases, meaning that project must be put aside at all costs.

On the other hand, to have a loyal base of followers isn't always a positive sign, because it turns into a cult where reason and logic are neglected in order to raise the idolatry for the project or the person behind it. Projects like this must be also avoided. An example is the Celsius, plus CEL token fiasco.
2052  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin doesn't give you instant 100 percent profits on: May 06, 2023, 04:51:11 PM
I just draw out this post due to some post I have been reading across here and it annoys me seeing people or newbies always asking after a platform to give them $100 daily, $50 daily and so on without them even coming to think about how it works or not.
It's because these people are looking for hyip and ponzi schemes where they can deposit their cryptocurrencies for fast gains. Probably they have seen such propagandas on social medias or friends' groups, so they look for this kind of information on the forum as well. Since they are newbies, they aren't aware about the fact such schemes are scams where they lose money. What we can do is to educate them on this matter, telling them to not invest in opportunities which aren't realistic.

On the other hand, it will never stop, so get used to be annoyed, because there will be always newbies in crypto universe, and newbies always commit mistakes, believing in false promises of profit.
2053  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto casino sports betting for gamblers at local bookmakers. on: May 06, 2023, 04:28:20 PM
^

I agree with what you said. Until a person admits to himself that he has problems with gambling and wants to solve these problems, it is almost impossible to get rid of gambling addiction. Finding a solution to a problem is much easier when you clearly understand the problem and are not looking for someone to blame around you. We are the only ones to blame for our mistakes and we are the only ones capable of correcting them and never repeating them again.

When we think that there is someone who has addiction problems, it is very difficult to approach that person and tell them to seek help that they will need, because we do not know how they will take it, so what can be done here is to go to that person who has an addiction problem in a very subtle way, especially if he is a friend of ours, because it is obvious that there is treatment for this and the important thing here is that he get better, so sometimes to let them know that they Need help is quite a challenge for them to I don't react badly.
The same way OP showed the gambling universe to his friend, he can show a solution for gambling addiction. However, the final decision will be always on his friend's hands. The same way he started gambling because he wished, he will just start looking for treatment if he wishes genuinely from his heart. I don't blame OP for having introduced his friend to gambling, because he didn't force anyone into something they didn't want to do, therefore he shouldn't feel guilty for that reason. He should do only what is on his reach to help his friend, but if the friend doesn't want to, I fear there is nothing else to be done by OP.
2054  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Negative influence of bitcoin on: May 05, 2023, 10:11:14 PM
Every good thing has side effects, I believed bitcoin ha play roles of changing lives and improving digital structural economy. But bitcoin also has negative damnation on lives by impoverishing people of their spare resource and income.
That is why everyone who is interested in Bitcoin should learn the basics about security, how transactions work, how to manage a wallet, and of course about investment strategy which must be always focused on long term goals, since we can't predict Bitcoin price on short run precisely.

Since many investors want fast profit, they claim to have lost money with BTC. But that was actually their fault for not having held their coins for longer.
2055  Economy / Gambling / Re: Land base slot vs Online slot RTP on: May 05, 2023, 06:00:16 PM
Also, not every land based casinos have transparent slot-machines. It's just not possible to know accurately their RTP percentage. You have to trust the house and hope they are being fair to you. The only pros I can see on such machines is the excitement it guarantees to the gambler through shining colors, lights, eccentric design and catchy sounds. That is indeed an unique experience you aren't going to have when playing at online casinos.
2056  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can't do something else offline, is this something wrong? on: May 05, 2023, 03:59:49 PM
My end goal is retirement through Bitcoin, I have no other dream than this, and I am not a dreamer but a doer. We all have a favorite subject in school for a reason, Bitcoin is just mine. Out of school though.
The problem with your end goal is that you are putting all your eggs on the same basket. You don't like physical business model, but you can't fully rely on virtual businesses thinking on your life on long term. If something unexpected happens to Bitcoin and affects it negatively, your retirement plan is gone... And how are you going to fix things on the middle of the way if you don't have a Plan B?

Invest and work the maximum as possible you can with BTC, but don't neglect the physical side of the financial life. Since you are a big investor you must have financial conditions to guarantee yourself a decent property, house or apartment. This way you will have somewhere to live or to rent and make extra income.
2057  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: A new fan token to make your dreams come true! on: May 05, 2023, 02:39:27 PM
You are 17 years old, you are still very young, and the future is in front of you, so you do not have to rush, you will have many opportunities, so you should look for good opportunities and avoid making mistakes from the beginning.

The forum here generally does not like new accounts that ask for help or donations, so you should avoid these things and try to develop your rank and gain the trust of the community first.
This is definitely not the way to start a professional journey. If OP wants to earn money and make his dreams come true, he has to start working from zero for others, as employee. It worths to seek for opportunities on the forum, although there aren't many of them for newbies nowadays. Within time he can rank up his account to full member or senior member relatively fast, if he brings up subjects and discussions that are of the interest of other members who have merits to share.

Once this happens, opportunities become more realistic on the forum, so he can start earning an extra income which can be saved and used for his goal of acquiring a driver's license and a car, so he can work as Uber or on delivery business. Depending the area it can be really profitable.
2058  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stop comparing BTC to FIAT. FIAT is dying every single day. on: May 04, 2023, 09:23:04 PM
Fiat and cryptocurrency are distinct terms, with differing purposes. Fiat is essential for daily living, while cryptocurrency is a digital currency that offers investment opportunities. As such, comparing the two is not feasible. Fiat cannot be invested, so one cannot expect a return on investment. Its primary function is to evaluate the value of Bitcoin, allowing for comparison. I do not believe it is wise to hold Bitcoin for a lifetime, as it offers no tangible benefits to our daily lives. Instead, I advocate for selling when necessary and taking advantage of the volatility of the market to increase one's portfolio.
Both currencies can't be compared, because their principles are completely different. Bitcoin has limited supply, fiat has infinite supply. Bitcoin is decentralized, while fiat is centralized. It's like comparing apples to oranges: both are fruits, but completely different on every other aspects.

But I understand OP gives a valuable lesson to the forum when he says fiat is losing purchasing power along the decades, while Bitcoin is only getting more traction and strength on the market. So it makes sense to evaluate Bitcoin more than fiat holdings. Avoid holding large chunks of fiat at all costs. Invest it into BTC or any other asset or property which is going to get more valuable within time.
2059  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: May 04, 2023, 09:15:41 PM
Not from faucet maybe, but you are going to make a lot more from the wheel, and that means the returns could be a lot higher. This is why try to aim at higher rate of income, not quick return for your work, it will make you richer on the long term.
I guess you shouldn't expect high returns from the Wheel, because on most spins you are going to get the minimum rewards, with a good chance of receiving lottery tickets, which mean nothing at all... If you wish to invest in FUN, better that you have a strategy to maximize profits from your investment. Don't rely only on the Wheel, but on the BTC and FUN interest as well, what consequently demands a decent sum of Bitcoin idle on the platform for passive income daily earnings.
2060  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stay away from crypto influencers on: May 04, 2023, 05:20:35 PM
We can always report these influencers so that they will be banned on the social media platform and maybe they will be in jail too. Worse is some of them can get killed. They need to consider the risks more than the investors.
Hardly ever these influencers are going to be banned from social medias or are going to be punished by an authority, because they adopt some protective measures while promoting the scams. They always put a warning message on their videos with sayings like: 'invest at your own risk' or 'this video isn't financial advice'. They don't take any responsabilities for investors' losses and technically it seems to be fine for the legal system.
