2041  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Haney vs Kambosos II (Undisputed) on: September 01, 2022, 04:43:57 PM
Haney for me will not let the victory he achieved in the first instance be taken away, I don't know, I haven't seen much news about Kamobosos, but I think he must be having one of the training sessions to go out and kill Haney, if this is so we could see that Haney's acknowledgment will make this look like they want to repeat and there will be rematches, if Kambosos wins, then Haney will ask for the rematch, and that's how they will go, that's why I say if this is won by Kamosos, it will make it very interesting, without However, I don't think this will happen, but everything is possible, I think that they can do a good job if both boxers go out with that desire to the ring.

Kambosos may be silent these days because of the trainings but he can't really change the fact that his chances to win is much smaller than Haney and the latter will indeed make sure that he will still win for the 2nd time around and keep the undisputed name with him along with the belts he earned. No offense for Kambosos fans here but I can't really see an upcoming trilogy and that means that Kambosos will get lost again and pave a way for Haney to Loma soon.

I agree, Kambosos is welcome to undergo to an intensive training to prepare well but he cannot really deny that Haney can and will dominate him in the ring just like he did in their first encounter. Kambosos is not a knockout specialist too so that makes defeating Haney much more complicated. He should try climbing the next division if in-case he get defeated here in their rematch.

I guess that will be one of his options when he will be defeated for the 2nd time against Haney, I mean what else he could do in the lightweight division if he doesn't hold any belts anymore? Ryan Garcia is already not interested in him anymore as the young boxer has put his eyes on Tank next, while Tank is also eyeing for Haney. So maybe if Kambosos climb the next division, he could face Teo Lopez again.
2042  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 01, 2022, 04:01:38 PM
We've got some rumors about Carmelo Anthony. He's likely to go with the Boston Celtics. He's a potential signee for them.

I thought he will go to the Knicks, not sure how he will fit in Boston though, probably what he has given to the Lakers, off the bench and then maybe had a good shooting night, 20+ ppg in he stay with them throughout the season. And it's good to see still play and the Celtics need a veteran like him in the bench.

The Boston Celtics should just mind their own business and neglect the ongoing trades in the league, their present roster is already proven in any given circumstances and the fact that they are now an experienced team makes them more dangerous. What they should do is to improve and not add to it because it could potentially destroy what they've built.
Carmelo Anthony is without a doubt a good asset who averages double digits per game but he won't fit in the Celtics system.
2043  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Shakur Stevenson vs Robson Conceicao - Sept 23 on: August 31, 2022, 05:43:58 PM

^ Everyone is after the money. Top Rank wouldn't want Shakur to be wasted while he is young, they've be matching him to some average fighter until they earned   unimaginable amount.

Bettors is also what they are after and this one sided match is a money maker. Shakur is just too much of an accurate skilled fighter compare to Conceicao. And to make sure he wins, the fight its also going to be held in Shakur's hometown. He has all the advantage in this fight.

I guess that's why Bob Arum is always playing on top of the game as he knows how to make his boxers rise above and on top of that, knows how to make money. Right now, it's a good thing that Bob is welcoming change and lets his own boxers to have their chance to have a legacy in the industry like unifying all 4 belts.

Shakur has a bright future and Bob Arum will make sure that his boxer will be at the top of their game in their own respective division as that means he will keep on collecting profits from each fight they have.
2044  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Commentary and commentators in sports. on: August 31, 2022, 05:14:51 PM
If there are no commentators who will accompany throughout the game, it will feel lonely and there will be no feeling at all because the presence of the commentator will entertain the audience more to listen to the predictions or observations of the commentators for the competing teams. We couldn't enjoy the game because we only saw each team play and there were no opinions or arguments from each of the commentators during the match.
They are truly part of the sports world since then ,I believe this is why commentators are always there to serve us best in our sports experiences , there are many sports that I experience watching when the sounds turned off? and yeah the game is not that exciting and not that understandable .,
I think there are no enjoyment when sports does not have commentary  and commentators .

They are there for a reason and that is to guide the viewers and keep them updated about what have happened because the viewers can't possibly follow all the movements in the game.  Commentators are so well that they can even see the tiniest bit of details that the viewers needed to know. Sports won't be that much exciting without these kinds of people and the industry won't hire them in the first place if there's no need for them to be there.
2045  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Take This 2 Minutes Nine Step Quiz To Access Yourself In Gambling on: August 31, 2022, 04:13:10 PM
Took the quiz and I'm surprised that I got high-risk gambler even though I just gamble once or twice a month. Though I admit that I get greedy sometimes when my adrenaline is high telling me to play more ending of losing all my capital.

I don't know if the test is really accurate that I need to consult someone about my gambling habit because of the result because for me I don't consider myself that addicted yet that I gamble way more than I can afford to lose and only do it when I have spare amount of money.
Don't worry because some users above do also got an incorrect result. I think the quiz is highly sensitive and most of the questions being asked there will tag you as high risk gambler if you answer it as a yes. I don't know if every quiz/testing website is like that but it's better to depend on the real specialist about this matter if you are serious of knowing your status because they can do some physical testing, not just mental like taking a quiz.

I think all of us have gone to a point where we get aggressive or greedy in gambling but we overcame it all by ourselves and now we are only gambling for fun or playing to test our luck and see if we can win something.

The quiz wasn't really a real assessment to reveal our true situations towards gambling, and the results aren't that really accurate so it doesn't really matter if you fell under high-risk type of gambler or non-problematic type of gambler. The true assessment starts with ourselves and then what our close relatives/family/friends thinks about our situation.
2046  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: August 31, 2022, 03:44:34 PM
It could have a rematch (even if there is no written clause in the initial contract), if the fight is going to be razor sharp close or maybe even in a draw.

But if it's a convincing win, then maybe not, but if there is a huge money involved then again, they could go and fight one more before going up in weight. So I guess the fans will also have a final say and maybe the promoters are going to take that lead from us if they see a demand for it.

That's true however both sides should secure a rematch clause to make sure that a rematch will happen soon if one will pursue it and so that no one will avoid. There will be demand for sure if the fight is close enough but a rematch won't be possible if one of them starts running after named as the undisputed boxer in welterweight division.

2048  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 30, 2022, 05:40:49 PM
I think that Westbrook will be able to play better if he can show a little more composer in his game.
He did not start the last season well if I recall correctly. But, towards the end of the season, he was coming back to form.
Well, he was not in a red hot form, to be honest. But he was certainly better compared to what he was doing at the start. There was a lot of criticism that he kept the ball too long to himself. Others said that he was not shooting as frequently as he should. I think if he can keep his composure and select the right passes, and also shoot with confidence, he will be able to play a lot better. Because that is what we expected from him. No one wants to see that much money just go to waste.
Westbrook had his worst season in the last few years. It seems to me that one of the main reasons is that he didn't worry about losing the ball on the court. If you check his stats, you'll see that it was normal for him to make 6-7 turnovers or even 10 turnovers per game. So I'm not sure if Westbrook has any motivation to play better right now. However, if he doesn't like everyone calling him Westbrick, then he should get a lot better in the upcoming season.
At this point, it actually feels like he is more of a burden for any team. Having him doesn't seem to be helping the team, nor is it helping that he fancies himself a world-class player. Since he is staying, I believe he will at least try to get along with the other players. He doesn't appear to have a very favorable relationship with the players, and I agree that he needs to become more productive. Otherwise, people are obviously going to call his names.

Well, that is indeed true because Westbrook is more of a liability rather than being an asset to help the team win more games per season or at least enhances the team's chances to win every game. The whole Lakers management surely regretted the day they acquired Westbrook because that cost them millions of dollars and this year Westbrook is said to have his final salary in Lakers with almost $50 Millions dollars, now that's an expensive mistake.
2049  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto and Bitcoin began to be known by the rural community on: August 29, 2022, 08:59:28 PM
actually bitcoin and crypto are already known everywhere so no need to be surprised to see that, if I'm not mistaken it looks like this is one of the countries in Asia but I don't know where but I believe it's in Asia and as we know bitcoin and crypto are very well known too in the asia region
If it’s in the Asian region, then bitcoin and cryptocurrency is already known and popular even in provinces as people are still updated on it because there are now internet connections everywhere. But it’s my first time really to see bitcoin supporting local event like this as it’s always international events that it’s mostly covering. And since it’s happening already, then expect that there will be a lot more that will soon to happen which will be supported by bitcoin or other cryptocurrency.
2050  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can One Actually Do Crypto Trading As A Living on: August 29, 2022, 08:32:05 PM
I've heard of many people talk about cryptocurrency and its potentials all the time and at a point I begin to wonder if one can just depend fully on cryptocurrency as a means of livelihood.
Yes, crypto is not about trading because there's a lot of ways in cryptomarket where you can actually earn more which I have so many friends who are full time in cryptocurrency activities, they do trading, bounty and even managing a social account and they will get paid by that. You can only achieve this level once you already have good knowledge about cryptocurrency and same thing with trading, experience and trading is the key so if you are a newbie don't rush yourself to do full time, have some experience first and soon if you are already good enough, you can do full time in crypto, this will also depend on your dedication.
Relying alone on crypto trading for your livelihood is very much risky to think as the market won’t always be suitable to trade. However, if you also have skills aside from crypto trading as there are a lot of crypto jobs offered in the crypto world, then I must say that you will really make a good living until cryptocurrency is living its demand. But I suggest if possible, go and get a stable job first so that no matter what happens in crypto, your finances will never be affected completely.
2051  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Resisting the below twenty thousand level on: August 29, 2022, 08:12:48 PM
Usually "resistance" means resisting the growth, and "support" means not letting it fall below certain level. So while saying that Bitcoin is resisting the fall is correct, it sounds weird to people who used to understand resistance as "opposition to growth".

The $20k support is holding well for now, it's clear that there are groups who are interested in defending this important psychological level, but only time will tell if they will fully succeed or not. I wouldn't bet that this is the bottom of the bear market yet.
Knowing how unpredictable the value of bitcoin, no one can really tell if the present value is already the bottom of this bear market as a lot would still happen in the next possible months. Although $20k is much better than seeing its price drop further, but if there will be positive news that will support bitcoin, then there’s no reason that we will see bitcoin falling into its bottom price.
2052  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Spend your valuable times and get valuable knowledge on: August 29, 2022, 07:51:42 PM
Bitcointalk is honestly overrated in terms of learning in general. It's great for having questions and discuss/debate certain news and topics, but if you're a beginner you're better off reading articles off the web.
Do not just focus on bitcointalk because if you want to improve your English speaking and writing skills, then learn from the available resources in the internet. However, bitcointalk may be a good avenue if you want to gain more insights on cryptocurrency and its volatile market, and the worldly economic issues that are now very visible these days. Other than that, if you want to improve your English, learn from the English vocabulary first and master them.
2053  Economy / Economics / Re: Education on: August 29, 2022, 05:02:54 AM
Education is not the only key to success anymore, then we all be believe that, if we don't go to school, we can't make it, the country is something else, we should find all means to be a successful person in life, education is good, but we have to find all means to make it, country which a graduate is riding bike, someone that spend thousands of naira to go to the school, is now riding bike, imagine,

So is always good to invest in once self, than working under someone, which you won't have time for yourself,

Just an advise

Education doesn't have to be the proverbial college/university or (insert institution of higher learning here). I'd argue that education is critical no matter the field you choose to go to. It's not that any of us knew about cryptocurrency inherently. There was a learning curve before diving into the industry, ie we educated ourselves/

You don't need college/university to be successful, but you do need an education in something, whether that be through self learning or the professional schooling route.
Education is still the best powerful weapon to shift from ignorance into being knowledgeable, regardless if you learned it from schools or just from people around who educated you. Although it won’t make you instantly successful, but by educating yourself you gained knowledge, skills and confidence and that give you an edge to achieve your goals in life through positive thinking.
2054  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Be a Bitcoin believer on: August 28, 2022, 09:42:33 PM
maybe a very big mistake if you choose a new altcoin because the new coin actually does not have definite clarity, especially not yet registered on the trading exchange, and does not yet have hype, in fact that is also the risk faced by every crypto investor who dares to lose if they want to make a profit.

A new altcoin with no clarity about the trading exchange and about its developer is a shitcoin that will only result in losses. Better to choose bitcoin is the right choice. If you really want to choose an altcoin, choose an altcoin that has been registered and trusted, such as ETH and BNB, there is no doubt anymore. Don't bet money just for new altcoins that are not clear.
However, a lot of investors still fall into altcoins and claim that they will be more profitable than bitcoin. And when they start losing, that’s the time that they will realize that bitcoin is definitely the perfect choice for investment. But there are also good altcoins that have sustained their value for long and when bitcoin reaches its new ATH, these established altcoins also benefited. That way, they become profitable too because of bitcoin.
2055  Economy / Speculation / Re: I've been confused in BTC on: August 28, 2022, 09:06:59 PM
I am very disappointed with the state of Bitcoin in the current market. Because last week its price was 24000 dollars but now it shows 21 thousand dollars.
You are disappointed with the market trend of Bitcoin because you don't understand how it works. Bitcoin price operated in a 4years cycle and we're currently in the market winter season which is also the best entry time and I will advise you to make use of the market dump in price advantage and hold till the next halving market ( which will happen in 2024) instead of you beating yourself on something you can never change.

I want to know from you, is the price of Bitcoin likely to fall further?
Yes, the price of Bitcoin will likely dump in the future market and I expect BTC to achieve its bottom price during Q4.
Bitcoin price will never settle into a fixed value, it’s price will always fall further because of the fact that it’s highly volatile. However, you should not worry about this OP because bitcoin will never stay in a low value the whole time, it has its own right timing to recover and skyrocket again. But if you keep being bothered every time the price drops, I guess you should study more about the concepts of bitcoin so you will understand its market price moves.

 Ivartheragnarson

There are lots of free lessons, videos and information in the internet. Google will be your best friend since you can search basically almost everything and your question will be answered. In addition, you can also download some books relating to cryptocurrency if you are really determined to find out and discover more about this space.

Fortunately, you also came into the right place. This forum is the largest repository of cryptocurrency information and discussion as thousands of people are active. You can utilize the search bar in this forum and ask anything. But remember, all of these will only work if you are determined and patient enough to study the fundamentals of it.
Learning will never be hard at all if you have good determination to learn and the patience and perseverance to move forward from a scratch. Especially that everything are free to learn in the internet, and what you should do is to only make the most of your time. However, this bitcointalk forum is also a very good place to clear all your confusions and learn from the experiences of the pros in trading. Though learning takes long time, but it’s good to know that there are already a lot of people who will guide you all the way in your learning process.
2057  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Having losses? Or people are not going the right way on: August 27, 2022, 09:23:34 PM
Most of the people got in during the peak of the market when the hype is so strong.  It is obvious that when the hype fade, the price will correct itself, and those who invested in it will surely suffer losses.  Those who invested in BTC are definitely going the right way but most of them lack knowledge and patience so they derail from the correct path and give up their holdings at a lost.  If they only intended to hold for a long term, I think the survey won't have the same result.
While those who invested on altcoins that are shitcoin and are only driven by hype, are definitely in the wrong way.
It’s always a challenge to invest in the right coins as we can’t predict precisely as to what coins will survive for long, others may have been lucky and invest into bitcoin while some end up investing in altcoins and shitcoins because they find them more promising. Although i’m not saying that investing in altcoins is bad, but it’s a always a high risk investing in them and yet there are no guarantees that they will continue to surge and reach new all time highs. Unlike bitcoin, if you are just patient enough, hodling bitcoin for long term is proven to bring huge profits in the end.
2058  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 26, 2022, 05:54:06 AM
KD staying with nets is definitely something I would love to see. I mean they already didn't had a terrible team. Kyrie can shoot, KD we know can shoot very well, Joe Harris can shoot and Seth Curry can shoot, plus Ben Simmons can drive inside and pass out.
It's actually a smooth feeling to read that news that the KD trade and rumors have come to an end. It's best for all of the teams that have been in the news that showed interest of taking him.

I guess the buzz made by the team will also give that huge benefit from having those ticket sales for the very first days and opening of the league again for the matches of Nets.

Maybe a good advertising / marketing to have more interest from the fans knowing that KD will stay.

Or, it can backfire as annoyed fans might boycott him since he created that drama. But let's give the Nets another shot, mentioning those
info above gives fans a reason to watch them out.

We can't say if they'll be able to blend together and have a smooth season, all will be witness when they start making the plays and
see if there're sparks with both defense and offense.

Both scenario is totally possible but I'm thinking that the 2nd scenario mentioned above is the most likely to happen because of Kevin Durant's drama recently that end badly as the management has been connected by it. We can't know for sure what would happen this coming season or how would the franchise handle them in the training camp but one thing is for sure though, there's a lot of awkwardness that will happen in the first few days.

Bantamweight: Rodtang Jitmuangnon VS Savvas Michael
I'm interested to watch Rodtang since he's an experienced in Muay Thai, skillful, have a good record and very humble person, I think he will easily win against Michael. If he won, then I think he will match up against Kiatmuu9 and both of them from the same country e.g. Thailand. Though it wouldn't have so much hype, but I expect Rodtang will become the champion on Flyweight Grand Prix.

Yep, watching Rodtang is indeed entertaining because of his performance especially when he let's his foe kick or punch him in the chin. Aside from that, there's a also high probability that Rodtang will win against Savvas as he has more experience than the latter and I think it will like a walk in the park for him. He can't be considered as a pound-for-pound if he's not that good though.

This is my 1st time watching a fight actually I don't know if I would include him on my pick but if I have some time later maybe I would also look for his highlight fights and his opponents as well in comparing their combat power and speed that is,

Really? That's good, I see that now you're also exploring ONE, you might get curious but we used to tail each other in NBA discussions. Anyway, I'm still having a hard time knowing and figuring out the rules because UFC and ONE have a different set of rules but I've seen Rodtang numerous times and there's many videos of his fight available in the internet even his highlights too.
2060  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 25, 2022, 06:31:35 PM
KD staying with nets is definitely something I would love to see. I mean they already didn't had a terrible team. Kyrie can shoot, KD we know can shoot very well, Joe Harris can shoot and Seth Curry can shoot, plus Ben Simmons can drive inside and pass out.

So, if they built a team where it is Kyrie-Seth-Harris-KD-Simmons five out there, which would be very difficult because it lacks center but they can just rest one of them and put a center in there and just change whoever is resting, that way they will always have 1 center, 1 amazing passer Simmons, and 3 shooters at all times. That's a team that can fight for a title with the right coach if you ask me.

Indeed that's good to see how KD and kyrie build up again the Nets and its another chance for them to shut off the mouth of people who doubt about their willingness to cooperate with their existing team due to their past controversy. Lets see how they can work well their chemistry since this is one thing lacking to them last season and if they can adjust with this for sure they are not an easy team to beat.

That will be the biggest challenge for the whole franchise this coming season because they surely know that it's not an easy task to get these 3 drama queens in their team to be cooperative and set aside their egos to build chemistry. Also, Ben Simmons is also a puzzle that the management needs to solve because Simmons acts up whenever he wants or if he gets offended by any player on the team just like what he did when he was still on the 76ers.
