2041  Economy / Gambling / Re: The History Of Gambling. on: July 17, 2022, 12:51:15 PM

If we go through the history then we can find that, in Hinduism, gambling started much before the Mahabharat which started around 3139 BC.
In fact, gambling had a major role in the cause of the great war. So we can say that gambling has it's roots at ancestral level.
It's mind boggling to see how much gambling has evolved.

Gambling needs to get in sync with the improvement of technology.  Since gambling is another kind of business, there are companies that do R&D, improvements, and developments to get ahead of the gambling business competition.  As a result, gambling undergoes lots of evolutions and improvements depending on the available technology to date.

Evolution will keep happening in every aspect of life whether it be gambling, technology, economy or life.
In the current generation, gambling has evolved so much that people can gamble from wherever they are.
The ease of convenience to gamble from our computers and mobile phones have opened up a new a gateway for everyone.
In addition to that cryptocurrency has boosted this evolution in a way that people from across the globe can gamble with each other instantly.
We can't imagine how much more it will evolve.

2043  Economy / Gambling / Re: A New Era for Betting - (After Corona Circumstances) on: July 16, 2022, 01:32:51 PM
After the global epidemic that started in 2019, there were problems not only in football but also in all sports branches. However, sports branches that appealed to the audience live, such as football, were more affected.

Even if normalization begins towards the end of last season, we are getting ready to enter a season that we can call normal.

In this process, especially for football, I think that the big teams lose more power in general. Because supporter support is one of the most important criteria. This season, we will have a more normal season and I think we can watch better matches. Of course, we may also be entering a more enjoyable period for betting.

That is true. Back then when covid 19 was at peak nobody was even allowed to go out without a valid reason.
Also, there were times when although players from various sports were allowed to play their games, many were not available to get to the games.
Sports have indeed faced a troublesome time but it's good to see that things are finally back to normal now.
People are visiting stadiums, playing live casinos as well as the online casino sites are having a good traffic.
2044  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Bitcoin manage to grow over time? on: July 16, 2022, 08:03:05 AM
In the given list the most important factors that I consider as a threat to bitcoin are the cost of production and regulation.
I wouldn't say media coverage because in this world of internet almost everyone is socially connected and the news are spread instantly across the globe.
Whether it be a positive or negative news the coverage is across the globe.
On the other hand the cost of production and regulation are real threats to bitcoin which causes a correction every time it impacts bitcoin.
All the other factors drives the price of bitcoin upwards.
2045  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin limit supply on: July 16, 2022, 07:47:20 AM
It says that there will only ever be 21 million Bitcoin and the current BTC supply is almost at 19,094,150. What happens when its limit reached? will BTC price goes up instantly due to scarcity? is it the doom for Bitcoin since there is no room to mine? or maybe it will likely never reach 21 million?

According to me, fiat currency is showing it's flaws at regular intervals and that is making more people to believe that an alternate system of payment is needed.
Though bitcoin is not perfect but it still shows how people can actually have a control on their money and literally own their wealth.
Bitcoin is a gateway to an alternate payment method and this is enough reason why I can say that it will continue to exist forever.
People who can afford it will hold it while other alternate currencies would be used for daily payments.
So even after all the bitcoins are mined people will still use it and miners will rely on the mining fees for rewards.
2046  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hardware wallet demand increases in 2022 bear market as exchange scramble on: July 16, 2022, 07:27:22 AM
Seems like people are accumulating coins at lower prices and transferring to wallets.
This seems like a good news to me because the more number of people hold coins in non-custodial wallets the lesser chances of a dump.
This is directly contributing to a hold mentality and will lead to a pump in the near future.
Also, holding coins in an exchange is bad all together since it more less contributes to panic sell at times of a dump.
2047  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would Bitcoin recover even if it fell to one dollar? on: July 16, 2022, 06:53:51 AM
How low would Bitcoin have to fall before it was no longer recoverable?

Price, in my opinion, would not dictate this. It would have to be something that would destroy the foundation and system on which it is built.

what you say?

The beauty of bitcoin is that even if it falls to 0 it can still recover from that majestic dump.
By recover I am not saying that it will come to the ATH instantly but will gradually grow over time.
This is because of the decentralized nature of bitcoin. Anybody can buy it at any time and this makes it valuable.
Assuming it went to zero I would definitely buy hundreds or thousands of it just for the sake of how valuable it was once.
May be if I am lucky then it can turn out to be fruitful investment over the decade.
When a coin like LUNA can collapse to zero and still come back newly introduced at a current price of $1.7 then we can imagine how valuable bitcoin can be even if dumps to zero.
2048  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The digital ID for Gambling on: July 15, 2022, 02:45:24 PM
In some way, governments want to take over a part of gambling, bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, they do not want to lose control, in order not to lose it, they have certain licenses in their possession, certain treaties that make KYC exist, of course in an intelligent way They get in saying that for the protection of the player and so that they are not scammed, but we all know that the true intention is to know which people handle crypto and how much, if KYC did not exist, it would be more difficult for them, it is because of them that even if casinos implemented Monero transactions it would be a bit more tedious for governments to find out.

It's more like they are getting 2 benefits at the same time by implementing KYC details.
They can track their customers holdings as well as restrict people from entering into certain crypto platforms.
No doubt they hate monero since it disrupts all their plans.
2049  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Was the coupling of Bitcoin to fiat a mistake? on: July 14, 2022, 04:16:15 PM
If it wasn't for fiat then it would have been something else but there would have definitely been something or the other which bitcoin would have been paired to.
So in the mean time bitcoin was created fiat was already used as a wide means of payment mechanism.
Instead of pairing bitcoin with any other asset or good it would have been more convenient to pair it with fiat itself.
It would avoid the hassle involved to trade it with a physical good or asset.
2050  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: James Webb & Bitcoin/ Sending bitcoins to the first alien on: July 14, 2022, 03:43:32 PM
LOL, there are so many flaws I don't even want to go deep into it. But just the thought of sending bitcoins to an alien makes me wonder why would anybody even do that.
Firstly we don't even if the aliens would even consider gold as a precious metal. May be their planet has an abundance of gold and it's more or same like rocks in their planet.
So it's not necessary what's precious here needs to be precious there too. Everything gets changed once we leave the planet.
The laws of cosmic space are outside our perspective of what it can be.
2051  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and the future of crypto 10 years from now. on: July 14, 2022, 02:51:19 PM
Bitcoin is the best coin in crypto and as the years passed by there are a lot of coins (altcoins) that is more profitable in terms of investment on both short and long term process, in you're future sights and speculation of btc based on some good promising projects that is now scattering and has a posibility to move to next level in the near future, Can there will be a coin that can manage to surpass btc 10 years from now?

As we can see that it has already been more than 10 years since the existence of bitcoin and no other coin has even come closer to it even once.
Also, the marketcap of bitcoin is around 40% from the total markecap. This shows how much trust people have on bitcoin.
With these facts I can personally say that even in the next 10 years there won't be any coin that can come closer to bitcoin.
2052  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Threshold of Loss in Gambling on: July 13, 2022, 04:07:26 PM
Almost every gambler would have faced this. For me it was around 2 years ago when I was gambling at various sites.
I was chasing my wins and in the process made many losses. It was one of those times that I realized this is the limit.
After that I pretty much placed small bets and never crosses my threshold ever again.

16xypjnxlrew, you seem somehow obsessed with that guy, why?

16xypjnxlrew is just a moronic troll. I put on ignore months ago and I'd recommend you all do the same. You'll never get back the time you waste reading his posts.

Can someone please explain this to me ?
I just bought 2500 FUN tokens on 9th of this month but it is 12th today and it's still not showing the tokens on premium member benefits page.

The 9th was the day that we had a database crash. Some buys/sells, deposits and withdrawals from that day aren't reflected in users' balances. PM me your user ID and I'll pass it on to wetsuit for him to fix it.

Also just a general point. Some people got emails about saving redeems being credited but they are just duplicates of old redemptions caused by the database restore process. Nothing is actually missing from those.

Thanks for the reply. I have sent you a PM with my user id in it.
Just asking, will I get the credit of WoF spins from 10th or will it just start over by tomorrow may be.

2055  Local / India / Re: TDS on Cryptocurrencies [Explained] on: July 11, 2022, 03:14:26 AM
The worst part about TDS applicability put in by the government is that even if you are an individual who is not involved in any kind of business and profession and is just doing cryptos for investment or even fun has to deduct TDS while buying/ selling the coin and deposit it with the government. In case of exchanges it was easier as the burden to comply with all the statutory norms was on the shoulders of the government but in the case of individuals, it will be on people which will obviously reduce their enthusiasm to do crypto trading. I feel this law can be crypto killer in India.

If you do the research you will find that the government of India are bringing these laws towards crypto so that they can discourage crypto trading/investments in India.
First they bought the 30% taxation law and then they bought the 1% TDS and rumors are there that they are about to bring 28% additional tax as GST on crypto.
So all of these are steps that the government of India is taking to eliminate crypto from India.
Yes I understand it's too demoralise the people involved in crypto trading and trying to stop them some way or the other. GST won't come in don't worry. Atleast not on the trades being made through exchanges, it makes zero sense to bring GST on whole selling proceeds, even if this law comes in it would definitely be challenged in the court of law for sure and will make more of mockery of the government, the GST could be charged on commission or brokerage but not on the total value of sales because then government will have to allow input credit on value of purchase as well which will only increase their own headache.

I am not so wise when it comes to taxation but when I pay my monthly internet bill, an amount of 18% GST is added to the total bill.
So wouldn't the government impose GST on the total sale ? I wish that doesn't happen but asking it just for more clarity.
2056  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Never sell for a loss - is a Myth !! on: July 11, 2022, 03:05:21 AM
Certainly a myth and wouldn't follow such a bold statement, may be applicable for Bitcoin or Ethereum, but definitely not for altcoins. I sold Fantom at a loss a few months ago and if I hadn't, I would have lost more than 70% of my investment. The same thing goes for UST/Terra, I sold at $0.90 only for it to proceed and crash a few hours later.

You must be luck enough in that case because you sold UST right before the eternal collapse.
Even I had invested in Fantom but not really much. I haven't sold any of my coins as of now.
I don't really have an option now since it looks like we are at a bottom. Selling now would be a big mistake.
2057  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Hopefully someone can help on: July 10, 2022, 01:37:00 PM
Good afternoon, recently I came into possession of 4 "Antminer" devices and to be honest I dont know anything about them and I am honestly just looking to sell them. I am not sure of what they go for and thats mainly the help im looking for. They are brand new still in the box with plastic and Styrofoam. the info in which I have is as follows

Model 240-Zz Version Z15-j

is there any other information thats needed?

thanks again everyone

Isn't it quite simple. Just search for your model of antminer online and find it's current price.
According to that you can fix a price you want to sell for and then from the local borad enter your country's board.
In the local marketplace section you can put up a post saying you want to sell these devices for this price.
Interested people will reply to the post. You can also put the devices for sell in any app/website that your country has for marketplace.
2058  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: How I Almost Gave Scammers Access To My wallet This Morning. on: July 10, 2022, 01:18:05 PM
This happens to me almost every time when I enter something into the chat of any telegram group.
All of a sudden I see multiple groups with the same telegram group name. LOL  Grin
On many occasions there are also people from their support team who are very concerned about my issue that I posted on the group.
But I know that all of it are a scam so I just ignore them and sometimes when I am bored I reply them back to have some fun with them.
Most of them just leaves the chat abruptly deleting the converstion  Grin
Make it a habit to question every platform/website and check if they are genuine or not.
2059  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Collisions on private addresses? Balances? on: July 10, 2022, 01:04:14 PM
As far as I know, it's almost impossible to find out a public address which has some BTC balance on it.
Generating a private address and then it's public key and then it's public address takes some computational power.
Current computing powers would take it years before you find some address with balance on it.
Super computers might help in this case but then who would give us that access to a super computer.
Even a super computer would take ample amount of time to find an address with a balance on it.
2060  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A newbie with 100$ on: July 10, 2022, 12:49:56 PM
In this bear market, does 100$ on Ethereum or Bitcoin make any difference? As a newbie who have only 100$ to risk is this even enough? Can this get me anywhere?

Lets say the bear market will soon over and even if we go bullish what are your expected returns ?
Even if ETH goes 2x or 3x from the current price that would give you just $200 or $300.
So now you can ask yourself whether these returns are sufficient for you or not.
If yes, then go ahead with the investment. Besides that $100 is not such a big amount you can very well risk it for the sake of getting involved in crypto.
