20481  Economy / Economics / Re: If you were in desperate need for money.... on: May 10, 2016, 03:57:18 AM
If you were in desperate need for money / Bitcoins, what would you do? How to get it, earn it, whatw are your solutions and experiences? I wonder what people are ready to do when money is the problem.

i think it depends mostly on the amount of money you are needing. for me, if i need small amount i would just do some small extra jobs to earn it. but if i need the money fast or if i need big amounts of money i would borrow it from someone i know or in some cases i can also borrow from a bank (loan).
20482  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: is it possible to make a paper wallet without the password? on: May 10, 2016, 03:52:55 AM
~~
was reading on blockchain
https://blockchain.info/wallet/paper-tutorial
It says that the paper wallet has my (private key)password. So if someone broke into my home and stole my paper wallet, they could easily steal my bitcoin
~~
so my question is,   is it possible to make a paper wallet without the password?
~~

what is this password you are talking about? is it the blockchain.info wallet password, in that case you need it to access the private keys so you can get the paper wallet from bc.i and print it.

but if you want extra security on your paper wallet, you can still use some kind of encryption on those keys so someone without the encryption key can not use those.
20483  Other / Off-topic / Re: Will you quit your day job to go full time on bitcoin? on: May 10, 2016, 03:48:41 AM
it is always better to have some kind of a backup strategy so you have something to fall back on. so if you have a regular day-job as long as that can give you some kind of financial security i would never recommend anybody to leave if for anything else.
20484  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is now a good time to buy and store Bitcoin? on: May 10, 2016, 03:45:16 AM
you gotta look at the bigger picture here in bitcoin. although the bitcoin price has its rise and falls but the future price will be higher than the current price no matter what some shill FUD spreaders want to claim.

so this means buying now will lead to a nice profit in the future.
20485  Economy / Speculation / Re: Clear moon pattern forming on: May 10, 2016, 03:41:30 AM
the rise is so slow and steady i don't think we are going to see any kinds of moontime anytime soon. there is just going to be the same slow and steady rise for the time being and unless i see a spike not a small rise i wouldn't call it moon.
20486  Economy / Speculation / Re: What you do if bitcoin reach 5000 $? on: May 10, 2016, 03:38:24 AM
i would not sell. that would be stupid to sell, because if the price reaches the high price such as $5000 it means it is now more popular that it ever was and in other words i wouldn't need fiat to purchase stuff, i can use bitcoin instead.
20487  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What would be the number of BTC you would be happy in 2 years time? on: May 10, 2016, 03:35:00 AM
i am going to say as much as possible too, because i don't really have any specific number in mind to buy and keep, i only invest what i can afford to invest and nothing more than that. if i have extra money that i like to invest i would buy bitcoin but nothing more.
20488  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Holding Bitcoin a long time good way to make money? on: May 08, 2016, 04:12:40 AM
Trading them will make you more than holding.
Holding was a great strategies when BTC was cheap, now if you hold a few BTC you won't be making much. And then again BTC is much safer now and a good way to keep your money for a rainy day.

bitcoin is still in the cheap area, mostly because it has not yet entered a bubble. so far the rise was slow and steady over a very long time. so there is still time to buy and hodl.

although i agree that doing something like and investment or trading with bitcoin is so much better that just keeping them idle in a wallet.
20489  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to stay away from gambling? suggestions ? on: May 08, 2016, 04:06:57 AM
Put your bitcoin in a wallet. Write the private key on a paper. Hide the paper. Done.

it might be effective, but it will only be effective for a short temporary time. because you are the one who have created the wallet and hid the private keys on a paper, so you know where they are and you can access it anytime you want. and a gambling addict will easily sweep the paper wallet and gamble with it.
20490  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you were rich, would you still gamble? on: May 08, 2016, 03:58:06 AM
I will play gambling until whenever. I'll play for grabbing the money. if I'm already rich, I will help my friends to achieve success with gambling. I know, my life could have been better because of gambling.

this is a very wrong way of using gambling, because gambling is not for earning money. you will lose all your savings this way and there is always a lot others like this who have lost all their money after a long time of pursuing their losses and losing more and more everyday.

how much money have you made until now through gambling anyways?!
20491  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: GameFaucet.com on: May 08, 2016, 03:53:46 AM
So this company claims to have been bought out by another company.  They redid the site and actually added interesting games; however, you can not login to the site nor can you access the games one you try to log in.  I have to say that I am going to recommend that you do not waste your time when it comes to this faucet game, for they are always having issues.  I had over 4,000,000 satoshi in my account and they zero'ed it out when they did the reboot.  Scam???  I dont know, but I do not trust it.

i have never even heard about this website before. but i think you shouldn't rush to conclusion and instead of posting here you should first contact the site and ask for your balance back.

sometimes when the site changes ownership, maybe a server change or some other changer it takes a while to update the database or some thins get lost.
20492  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Give bitcoins as a gift to someone that haven't got bitcoin wallet on: May 08, 2016, 03:49:20 AM
i also think using a paper wallet as a gift has a nice thing to it, you just have to make it the right secure way.

but also you always have the option to open up a wallet in other forms for them, like on coinbase for example, because it is easy to use and newbie friendly. or also you can use other wallets like eletrum for pc or one of the phone wallets for convenience.
20493  Economy / Economics / Re: USD vs BTC on: May 08, 2016, 03:45:55 AM
at this point comparing bitcoin with fiat or specifically USD is just comparing apples and oranges. it is obvious that bitcoin is nowhere near the popularity of fiat so it will take a long time to even get there. and the scale is also important it may be accepted in one country like JApan but until it is accepted all over the world it can not get strong enough.
20494  Economy / Economics / Re: How to earn money with bitcoin ? on: May 08, 2016, 03:40:19 AM
why not invest in alt?

this is practically what half of the people here are suggesting! and you repeat it here. investing altcoins is good but it is not for everybody, if you are lazy to find the best alt and the best time to get in and your opinion of altcoin trading is gamblimg with the price then it is better to stay away.
20495  Economy / Speculation / Re: is anyone going real long with bitcoin on: May 08, 2016, 03:37:24 AM
yeah, i am somewhat doing the same thing. i mostly have bought what i could invest last year when the price was low at $220 and mostly the day it went down to $180-$190 and since then i have bought some in the dips and when some temporary drama is causing newbies to panic sell, i am there to buy.
20496  Economy / Speculation / Re: How it will go to $0 again? on: May 08, 2016, 03:33:26 AM
to hit zero again you have to go to a parallel universe where bitcoin is not yet invented and satoshi wants to introduce it today, then as soon as blockchain and bitcoin code is released you start mining or getting bitcoin for free (zero value).
20497  Economy / Economics / Re: Is gold better than Bitcoin? on: May 08, 2016, 03:30:39 AM
Actually gold is material thing and it's always better than digital, also a lot of any facts saying that gold is better now but bitcoin is growing and soon will become even better i belvie.

this difference would have mattered twenty years ago not today, we all have access to computers and internet even on our phones. so i don't see any issue with bitcoin being "digital" as you put it. you just have to learn the security.
20498  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best bitcoin online wallet ? = except blockchain.info on: May 08, 2016, 03:26:59 AM
every wallet has its own pros and cons, so you can never find something that is perfect in every aspect, for example these above comments on mine are saying coinbase is the best, although it has a lot of good features it has two major bad ones. it is a web (online) wallet and also you don't have access to the private keys so they can run away or block your account.
20499  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Wallet Vulnerability on: May 07, 2016, 06:29:20 AM
So you think that if he posts his Bitcoin address online someone will show up at his house and kill him for it?  Well okay, thanks for the advice.

If they know there's a big pay off? [u r l=http://lmgtfy.com/?q=Do+criminals+use+social+media+to+find+targets%3F]Yes, criminals will use that information[/url].
That is exactly why I don't use social media. Because then criminals would target me. That is definitely the reason, not like it's a waste of time or something.

it will all come down to two important factors, how anonymous are you and how careful are you about security.
for example if you are protecting your privacy online and don't associate your bitcoin address and balance with your real identity publicly then there is no fear.
and also for security, you should use cold storage and have protections like antivirus and never click on unknown links
20500  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is your plan to get rich with Bitcoin? on: May 07, 2016, 06:17:30 AM
You dont need any special Plan to get rich with bitcoin. As simple plan can be to just save the Bitcoins and the value of bitcoins will grow automatically and hence you will become rich only by saving.

you will never get rich with just holding bitcoin, unless you have already invested millions of dollars in bitcoin and with the rise you get a big profit to get "richer" but if you are holding a couple of bitcoins then you are just dreaming of getting rich.
