A scam accusation or even a proven scam is not a reason why members get banned from Bitcointalk. If you scammed someone from either of your accounts, you would "only" have been negatively tagged by DT members if they believe there are valid reasons for such tags. You got banned for something else. Plagiarism, spamming, posting malware, or sending unsolicited PMs are the most common reasons.
2063  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Mjesečna Analiza za Hrvatsku Lokalnu Zajednicu (Bitcointalk Croatian) on: July 13, 2023, 07:22:58 PM

2064  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Novosti on: July 13, 2023, 07:06:41 PM
2065  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Referral bonuses are waste of time on: July 13, 2023, 06:57:38 PM
For this referral bonuses, ive seen before that Pmalek created a thread you check it out here. List Of Crypto Casinos with The Best Faucets.
Faucets and referrals are two very different things. That collection of mine that you mentioned shows faucets of some crypto casinos. None of them are referral bonuses, though. A referral is when you sign up using a unique link someone provides you with. In that case, the person receives a percentage from the casino as reward for bringing you to their platform. Faucets are free coins you receive for testing casino games or you could use them for sports betting perhaps.
2066  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Pregled Bitcointalk Signature-Ad kampanja on: July 13, 2023, 05:58:42 PM

We have opening again. 3xHero payroll however I may consider 2xlegendary or 1xLegendary with 1xHero member.
Merit requirement at-least 200+
If you have good trust rating and DT status then your chances are higher
2067  Other / Meta / Re: Self-moderated topics - nice feature or should it get banned? on: July 12, 2023, 07:02:19 PM
I am all for self-moderated threads. In fact, I would go as far as to suggest forum users to self-moderate more of their threads if they don't mind the extra work (if it even comes to that).

It's an instant turn-off for spammers who will stay away if they know what self-moderated means. My guess is that most of them know. They tend to learn these things quickly but somehow can't learn how to become normal and valuable members of the forum. It's a great way to quickly delete off-topic replies or silent those that use your threads only to advertise their services or some website.

Certain boards and situations are big no-go. The reputation and scam accusation boards, for example. But even if self-moderated, our beloved scrappers will pick up the changes. I don't like seeing someone open a discussion about another person and self-moderating such a thread, or worse, preventing the accused person from replying.
2068  Other / Meta / Re: Forum having issues? on: July 12, 2023, 06:45:05 PM
Anybody else faced with this issue - Error 1015, You are being rate limited?
My job sometimes requires me to use South and North American IP addresses to access certain websites. I saw the "you are being rate limited" twice today but not on Bitcointalk. One was on a website to check your IP address, and the other one was from a Canadian work-related page. I don't remember seeing it before on either website. Deactivating and re-enabling my VPN fixed it.

Oh, I see what you mean now. Somehow I missed the part of your post where you said that you used your mobile devices to switch the site to the desktop version. I just tried it, and yes, it won't open the desktop version on Chrome. It remains stuck on loading in circles with the "checking if connection is secure" message.

And yeah, clearnet is down for me also.
It's back up and running again.
2070  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: NFT Idea: Prove Funds to Mint on: July 12, 2023, 06:23:12 PM
You think nobody with a lot of btc would want others to know? well I just provided examples of people with a lot of btc that wanted other people to know.
What you're really saying is that you wouldn't want others to know if YOU had 1000 BTC. Which is fair enough, but I think I can safely assume that you dont have 1000 BTC.
I don't remember ever seeing any posts by those two members you mentioned previously who bragged about having massive amounts of bitcoin, but I have no reason to believe you aren't telling the truth. Anyway, why would you take their word for it just because they claimed it? Ask them for a signed message from an address that holds several thousand bitcoins.  Wink I have never seen anyone from the guys I respect on this forum make such claims as that is not their style.

If you are convinced that your idea could succeed, go for it. You might find more believers on Twitter, Telegram, etc. This is an old-school community.
Also, I would appreciate if you avoid pyramid quotes. It looks bad. You can always edit and remove previous quotes, and only leave the most recent post you are replying to.

Good luck with your NFT idea, and let us know if you decide to do anything with it.
2071  Other / Archival / Re: Sinbad.io Mixer - secure, fast and easy to use on: July 11, 2023, 06:18:58 PM
Umm... not sure if it's just me, but I tried to access the clearnet through mobile browser and switch them to desktop version, it worked on mozilla-based browser, but on chrome and brave --i.e. chromium-based-- it's stuck on site verification step, the captcha won't stop circling and won't let me proceed to the page, instead it'll just keep refreshing the page. Switching back to mobile version solved it, and accessing through mozilla-based works fine both on mobile and desktop-version. I tried them both on my tablets [plural] and my phone, both on normal and incognito tab, everything brought the same result.
Try it now. Everything seems ok on my end both on Firefox and Chrome on my desktop and mobile devices. Cloudflare was acting up a few days ago, maybe that affected the clearnet version, since it uses Cloudflare. You might have noticed slowness with the forum in the last 2 days as well, but not today.
2072  Other / Meta / Re: Reserved Posts that didn't Used on: July 11, 2023, 04:02:28 PM
I don't understand why users besides the thread starter would reserve posts.

- If a contest lasts a month, you have one month to submit your entries. They don't have to be on the first page and you don't have to "signal" to anyone that you are participating.
- If there are limited places, a knowledgeable campaign manager will accept entries by those users who actually submitted the finished tasks in time, not made reserved post that they later edited.
- The same should be true if payment will only be sent to the first 10 participants, for example. All the manager has to do is check the last edited time and date.
2073  Other / Meta / Re: Forum having issues? on: July 11, 2023, 03:43:15 PM
I have been experiencing slow loading times when browsing forum topics as well in the last couple of days. It seems better right now. I had no issues posting, except waiting for the post to appear longer than what is normal. But there was a thread of mine that I was trying to edit and it didn't work. All attempts resulted in 500 server errors. Even opening the post and clicking on the preview button displayed the 500 error. Luckily, it's gone now.
2074  Other / Meta / Re: Metaverse role model on: July 11, 2023, 03:35:04 PM
Considering that the forum still doesn't have an official mobile application in an era of smartphones, and that the work on the new upgraded forum has been going on for a long time, this could definitely happen within the next 100-200 years. Grin OP just be patient.
Joking aside, I still fail to understand how a metaverse can replace a forum whose reason of existence is reading and writing.
2075  Other / Meta / Re: Metaverse role model on: July 10, 2023, 04:40:33 PM
You should go into a bit more details about how you think Bitcointalk's Metaverse would look like and work. How will it benefit me as someone reading and writing on this forum?
Metaverse is a virtual world making you an integral part of it. Essentially, it makes you part of a game. I could see the appeal for something like that, for example, in online casinos. You create a character who walks around the floor and can interact with other players and play casino games, etc.

How would such a world work for Bitcointalk? Would we be walking between different forum boards that are represented in some way in this virtual world?
Local boards could be presented by sights and popular destinations from that country. What about the rest?
2076  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Mjesečna Analiza za Hrvatsku Lokalnu Zajednicu (Bitcointalk Croatian) on: July 10, 2023, 04:26:25 PM
2077  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: NFT Idea: Prove Funds to Mint on: July 10, 2023, 03:56:41 PM
Why do people buy designer clothes? Why do they wear million-dollar watches?
I can understand designer clothes to some degree as long as it looks good. I don't understand million-dollar watches made from diamonds, rare stones, and similar stuff rappers and the likes wear. It's idiotic to me. Seeing 15 custom-made sports cars in a driveway is equally foolish. That's my opinion at least.

Yes many bitcoiners love being anonymous. But also we are people, we like to announce to the world what we are proud of. We like to announce to the world that we believe in Bitcoin, and also the fact that we have made it big at the same time.
So, you want to display your faith in Bitcoin by minting an NFT on Ethereum or some other blockchain? Nice. You are not going to get any serious people to support such an idea. Perhaps the younger generation whose symbol of achievement is a custom-made diamond watch worth a few millions.
2078  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Can I make cold wallet off line and has the ability to consolidate the utxo on: July 10, 2023, 03:41:33 PM
I know the chances are to slim and almost non-existent but there is still a chance that a malicious person could be sitting behind you and taking a good look at your screen while you are extracting tb'he wallet's private key. Again, I know it's almost impossible that someone can remember a private key just by taking a quick look at it, but it's still a risk. Better be safe than sorry.
It goes without saying that you should be doing that in a private environment. Most preferably in your own home where you have some privacy. Working with private keys is not something you should be doing on a shared computer or in a public space. I would, of course, avoid using a phone when out and about as well.
2079  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you stay updated on: July 09, 2023, 12:52:54 PM
@OP
If you don't watch MMA and Boxing and don't have any passion for it, I would advise you to stay away from betting big money on such events. You should bet on the sports you know the most about and which you watch to improve your chances of winning. That's a gamble enough, and you are making it worse trying to profit from something you don't understand.

One of the best sports bettors I know bets on one sport and only a few leagues from that sport. He doesn't bet every day, and sometimes weeks pass between two of his bets. However, he is successful and knows what he is doing.
2080  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: NFT Idea: Prove Funds to Mint on: July 09, 2023, 12:12:22 PM
Why would someone buy this?
People who see your NFT will know that you're hodling a lot of Bitcoins.
Why would I want to put a digital target on my back saying I own or have owned at least 1000 bitcoin recently? Would you want to walk down a street holding a sign saying you are rich or have a lot of gold in your house?

Many bitcoiners want to remain anonymous and not draw unnecessary attention to themselves. They also wouldn't care about hyped digital waste known as NFTs that could maybe have one or two useful applications with the rest being garbage. I am sorry, but I don't think many would be interested in this.
