Black coin rises, but down to mint coin. Mint is also active in the community to be more. Why do black coin climb?

Because Mints are not black
I can answer you:
- 0% premine Mint 4.5% effective premine
- PURE POS ( usulay 5s-15s transactions speed) Mint still is POS/POW hybrid.
- rising community
- 1% inflation but every 8h i can get stack(part of that 1%) i don't even care to mint i don't afraid to touch balance
- 1% inflation means that you need 20x less btc to keep price than 20% inflation
- many people just discovered BC
- compare direct to Mint to BC price should be about 5000 sat Tongue

I have 400k Mint community is great. I like it.
But for me BC is bit different coin with bit different economy.
In BC all is happening faster faster transaction, faster stakes, it wasn't so popular so it grows now faster too.

BTW HBN +100% year inflation is over power...This  year will be 150% because they mine a lot.

BC 0% premine... Yes, technically.. But weren't all the coins mined within a week of release? That doesn't seem like a long enough time to allow for a fair distribution.

just voted on mintpal

have you?HuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuh

I've been voting for this coin on Mintpal every chance I get, I think it has great potential (just like Mintcoin Smiley) and would love to buy some but Mintpal is the only exchange I want to deal with anymore... Until it happens, I will just keep on mining it!

Coin Logo

Oh dear... No offense, but I don't like the new logo at all. The freshness of the early days is gone. Thumbs down.

Matter of taste I guess, I like it better then the previous one... it's not the best but still better then before, bit more pro looking
Yeah, I think the logo is now much more legit looking as an actual currency symbol.

Hmm, can we adapt this symbol for use in general text (analogous to stories ς currency symbol for example)?

anyone?

Wish I had an answer for you. I haven't had this happen to me yet so I'm not sure what you should expect.

Looking for a spokesperson to represent us at the Cryptocurrency Convention New York

http://www.cryptocurrencyconvention.com/

All expenses paid, if you think you have what it takes get in contact with me.

Quoting this because it is important. Who will step up and represent us!?
This looks very interesting

Its funny because the mintcoin sign isn't there.

Add to contact them?

Maybe wait for new logo to be implemented? When does the voting end?

which vote?

Here: http://www.mintcointalk.com/index.php/topic,340.0.html?

I think it closes/closed today...

I also thought of another thing. Why wouldn't the devs spend some of their premine so that they could travel to New York in order to represent MintCoin?

It looks like they will be spending some of their premine, but to send somebody else. My guess is that they are too busy themselves, since they have noted in the past that they have other (work, family) obligations to tend to in their lives.

It seems people will mine any coin with a 1k+ block reward these days. No one even questioned what the 1% premine was for. Just another coin for scamdumpers.

It seems the question is now asked

What is the 1% premine for Mr Developer?
1% Premine for Development, Future Projects, Maintenance and Distribution to Community.

MAYBE WHEN YOU HIT 3RD GRADE, THEY'LL TEACH YOU TO READ.
Panda,Mint devs wrote the same Smiley how that finished all knows...
I was interested in those coins so as far i know:
Panda - Super dump Wolong on whole market at once dumped to 1sat
Mint -Dev dumped premined during pump and he refuse pay from premine coins to setup exchange he wanted 5m Mint from community to pay for it lol...

Premined coins are dangerous.

How Ghost is Unique,Innovative i don't get it?

You're definitely right about PANDA, I got screwed on that one, but I think you are wrong about MINT. There's no proof that the Dev dumped during the first pump, and it wouldn't really make sense that they did since they are still putting so much time and effort into the coin.. They have been paying out a lot of bounties, setting up new exchanges and marketplaces (MINT got on Moolah!), and working on the wallet (just released new version) and website. Also, they did not request the 5M MINT from the community to pay for a USD/MINT exchange but rather to gauge how interested the community is in such an exchange. If ghostcoin uses the premine in an analogous fashion, I don't think it is an inherent problem.

Edit: Oh and this. I think the Mint team is still pretty well invested in their coin.

Thanks both for your help.  Now, do I need to back up the wallet (write over the old back up file) every 20 days when I start minting new coins?  Because there would be different amount in the wallet, right?

Can anyone tell me how I can back up my wallet?  First time downloading wallet and importing MintCoins (or any coins for that matter)...

C:\Users\vtbean79\AppData\Roaming\Mintcoin

Look for the file named wallet.dat

Back that file up.

Or just go to 'file->backup wallet' from right within the wallet itself and choose where to save the file. Preferably onto a different hard drive or a flash drive.

My understanding is that you only need to re-backup your wallet.dat file every time you add a new address to you wallet. If you add coins to an address you already have, that address will already be in the wallet.dat file and the blockchain will know how many coins belong at that address at any given time. Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong as I would like to know as well!!

What is hard to understand is why you are posting to this forum.

Because I am a former miner and holder of 1.6m mintcoins.

Then have some faith in the coin! You must have had some at some point, otherwise I imagine you would not have gotten involved. What got you interested in mintcoin to begin with? And what has changed since then (Besides mining having finished, which we all knew was going to happen)?

I am allergic to faith, I prefer logic and knowledge. It seemed logical to start mining mintcoins until the POS came in. I also didn't say that I'd dump it all I said was that we will have to sooner or later, because this coin has it's own poisonbomb build in and we can only hope to get out on good terms.

I am allergic to faith as well- I am a biochemist. But I still use the word, in a non-religious sense, because no matter how much logic and knowledge you have there is no way to predict the future.

It just leaves people puzzled? You just have to write down a few words on the debug window, I can't see anything puzzling with that unless you have some mental issues.
Your point about the stack function is wrong, you can spend Mints whenever you want, you decide to spend it or hold it, you are not obligated to hold it and by the way 20% per YEAR is not THAT MUCH considering it will decrease to 5% per year...

Two things: 1st I am able to use a debug window, but I bet the majority out there don't even know that there is a debug window in every client.
2nd I NO WHERE claimed, that one is FORCED to keep them, but ENCOURAGED by the model. It is a currency that ENCOURAGES people not to use it as a currency because it's value is supposed to rise.
I don't get why this is so hard to understand.

What is hard to understand is why you are posting to this forum.

It is not as it leaves alot of people puzzled

Because after 5 weeks it is basically a pure PoS coin, it does not need to be intensively mined, as the PoW payout will remain the minimum. Most coins will be generated through PoS, thus it is a coin that will save a lot of energy compared to other coins.

Its basically saying "stop mining you won't get anything anyhow, just keep x million in your wallet and never spend it.
Cryptocoins without mining are dead cryptocoins because miners provide most hashrate.
Cryptocoins that are kept are extremly deflationary, that means you won't spend your coin because if you don't you have more tomorrow. But a currency that is not spend is worthless.

Is this news to you? You knew this was a proof of stake coin, right? Of course mining will stop now, that is the whole point. No more mining, no more wasting electricity. Miners can move on to mining other coins, if they wish, while still making more mintcoins and contributing to the network through the proof of stake process. The network will be supported by minting and any miners that decide to stick around to take advantage of the extremely low difficulty.

edit: And just because there is no more mining does not mean that there will be no more spending. It does mean that there will be no more multipool dumping, though.

You didnt get the whole economy/money thing what I wrote about.
Deflationary coins are bullshit when people realize that the marked stales.

Bitcoin is bullshit? Nextcoin is bullshit? News to me.

-_- maybe try with reading my posts.

But your posts seem rather pessimistic, with nothing concrete to support the claims. In other words... FUD. Perhaps you will be right, but lets just wait and see what happens.. Only time will tell.

I am concerned why Blackcoin tanked, would the same thing happen to MINT?

I think people are still just beginning to understand PoS.  Just look at r/mintcoin.  No one knows how to work their wallet.  I think Blackcoin is going to spike once a bunch of people realize they missed the mint train, so I picked some up while their price is in the gutter.

Maybe someone should explain it then? Maybe in the 1st post? Maybe in some simple words that everyone can understand?

Everything is explained in first post and it's explained really carefully.

ECCoin will not reach mintpal and cryptorush until a couple of BTCs spent. IIRC cryptorush want 0.25 BTC. Get ready to pay 10BTC for cryptsy.
That's how exchanges works nowadays.
NO not really needed. FLAB, MINT and couple of others go Cryptsy without much BTC spend. As long as project is good and helpful or big community behind (like we are alreadly growing it). They will list us.

ECC brings extra values to general crypto currency system such as ecological awareness, fair distribution, new global communities  never met with  crypto world will be awakened new era we all dreaming.

I can name at least 2 coins brings the same, I am starting to worry cuz I don't see real grow and professional promotion as noticed in coin description.

This coin was only released 3 days ago? I'd give it some more time to see if/how well it is promoted and developed.

Feels like the dev is too busy running their mintpal exchange to put effort into this coin which is a shame.

We have clearly stated several times that we are not affiliated with Mintpal...
And we are working on merchant acceptance and other things that have yet to be announced in order to give a bright future to this coin.

I have faith in you, mintcointeam!! I have been very impressed by everything as of yet. Keep up the good work.
