2061  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mempool and Spam Transactions LOL on: January 09, 2024, 06:29:04 AM
I came across this meme and its too funny not to share. Man creates spam ordinals to create fake traffic jams each time the rate fee drops quickly  Grin Cheesy Grin Cheesy
This is a meme and feels like an entire joke but it is the reality of things now. Or what could explain what we are facing these days in the Bitcoin network? Mempool has been a subject of controversies and the target of spammers due to the loopholes caused by the supposed developments by the developers. This has given the miners an undue advantage and they will not want it to change since they are gaining massively through it. But this is no gain for the rest, not even Bitcoin itself, so it needs to change as this needs to be forced out of their hands. It is so disheartening that miners are now behaving so selfish and will not vote for some changes that will affect them.

I am still watching the development because it will be so ugly if it continues to like this and miners monopolise everything in the name of Bitcoin structure and its decentralisation. Why not get the power away from them and bring sanity back to the network? Leaving it like this only means gains for them. The time is now and this is so annoying and shows the weakness of the Bitcoin network.
2062  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: January 08, 2024, 05:17:38 PM
Arsenal are a good team, they're active in all competitions and they've got the special ability to get victorious at the end. Well for me they've got a great squad and impressive management too but it'll be better if there's an improvement to what they already have. They need to take advantage of the current window and strengthen some areas of the team, especially the top 9 position cause Gabriel Jesus is becoming unrelaible and Nketiah is still not very experienced for that role.

Adding a striker to the list and a few more players with increased effect won't really be a bad idea, rather it'll push the team into getting greater, bigger results. It's actually good that so far, the team have been promising and they're working smoothly with their manager too. Errors are quickly corrected and coordinations are present to. One would wait to anticipate what the January transfer window holds for this team.

I agree with you 100% that Arsenal is a good team, and they have been performing well in various competitions, which I am sure many people will testify to. For the team to have more strength during the current transfer window, which is a good advantage for them, especially in the top nine positions, will possibly be beneficial. Gabriel Jesus's reliability and Nketiah's experience are valid concerns. Adding a striker and a few more players with increased impact could potentially lead to greater results for the team, and I am quite sure they will do more than what people expect from them, which will make many fans more excited about their term.

It is positive to hear that the team has been promising so far and that they have a good working relationship with their manager. Their ability to quickly correct errors and maintain coordination is important for great success. So let's wait and see what the January transfer window holds for Arsenal. So that we can see what arsenals are capable of doing.
What a very good biography you've given Arsenal, though they are a good team, no doubt about that but the repeat of the mistakes they frequently make is what is getting me angry with them. In one of my past reviews of the club, as much as I gave them some praise, I also gave them some knocks and insisted that they could try but might still not be able to lift the cup this season. This is not because I don't want them to lift the cup but because I have carefully studied the Gunners, they always mess up when the ovation is loud for them, so I am not surprised with their recent performance, they always drop from the first spot. The feat they were supposed to maintain when they meet both big and lesser clubs, they will douse it and start trying harder later when opportunities have been missed in the past. Missed opportunities in soccer may not be regained if one is not careful which is why it is even good for them to be extra careful and prepare better when they face big clubs as the 3 points gained from a big team win is a stronger point closer to winning the tournament than winning the lesser team that it is almost certain that you will win.

This is very important even though it is the same point we are talking about, but the hurdles are not the same, and if maximised, it is an added advantage. The same thing was their issue last season, they will become hot at times and turn cold later, such will not help them to maintain good standing. FA apart because I knew that Liverpool would beat them, but you can imagine West Ham beating Arsenal 2 to no goal on their part, and Fulham almost replicate it if not for the early time goal by Saka. They should have played better having drawn Liverpool in an earlier match with them about 2 weeks ago. The same early-minute goal helped them against Liverpool as well. But instead of continuing to be ferocious with the attack, they will attack a little afterwards but defend more. This is certainly not working for them, they need to change and not praise the cooperation with the coach alone against what you said. The players should be up and doing and if it is about removing and adding in this transfer window, let Arteta do it. But I strongly doubt if any changes will have so much effect on the players even as I see not much issue other than the player needs more motivation or pressure as the case may be. The current guys played well initially, they can still do the same if better managed in my opinion.
2063  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Woes of gambling on: January 08, 2024, 04:41:56 PM
Take casino games for example especially jackpot casino games there is no way you can tell me that all of them are structured in such a way that they randomly always make money for the house if you ask me gambling is a fraud that has been used to trick people into believing that their choices matter it does not everyone that gambles is just there to make money for the casino unfortunately there is nothing that can be done about human nature 💔💔💔
Your expression seems pretty confusing as it seems you are for and against the view at the same time. But as I understand it, it is good to be wary of the house even though some are sincere and fair, it is all about integrity. But if I ask you, how many human beings have integrity? The percentage will be very low, even those who believe they have integrity could still have it corrupt when they see money and the temptation that comes with it. Well, from what I have read, it is all about the casino itself, so it varies. Some truly have a provably fair system and will never alter it for any reason. If anyone plays with such a casino, such is lucky as what has been written in the algorithms is what the casino will continue to play by. So it is all about your luck and how good you are with your casino instincts and strategy that will make you win in such casinos, while the house will never manipulate it.

But still, the system itself from the beginning has been wired to favour the house, don't forget that and you can't change that fact even though it's not that the system will fake it for you into losing. The way it has been wired can never be against the house overall. You can see that all can't be fraud but indirectly, it is still a win-win for the house, only that some casinos are too greedy to continue cheating their customers with some more internal adjustments that will fail a provably fair system.
2064  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are successful gamblers seen as addicts? on: January 08, 2024, 04:20:41 PM
A successful gambler is rarely considered as addicted they are not fully addicted they have enough experience that they win gambling games and fall under the category of successful gamblers. Gamblers who cannot sustain success after winning become greedy and become addicted. Successful gamblers know enough about how to protect their funds. Gambling has been involved for a long time and their practice is very good. At the end of the day they are successful gamblers and do not have addiction problems due to proper practice.
It could be that successful gamblers do not experience addiction because they have experience in how to overcome addiction, which can come at any time. A successful gambler knows what to do when he has been gambling for a long time and he will choose to stop gambling rather than lose his money.
This is what differentiates successful gamblers from most gamblers because successful gamblers can overcome everything that would have a bad impact on them. They have more experience than most gamblers so they can decide what to do.

if you can deal well with something that is hard and maybe addictive, if it makes you happy and you make money and it's not a problem for you... is it an addiction?
that's a really interesting topic that can get quite deep, I'd be curious to hear more people's opinions on this

what do you think?
As I have always said, we must as a matter of fact state at what we mean by being a successful gambler. We know that any gambler is liable to be addicted, on this premise if a gambler has been gambling for so many years and yet is not addicted that person can be said to be successful.
Another angle of reasoning is what is meant by being successful. If a gambler is not addicted and yet he does not make money from gambling we cannot say that he is successful.
So, we can say that a newbie gambler who has no experience in gambling but it's lucky to win huge amount of money and turns to a millionaire overnight is successful. You can therefore understand that being successful in gambling is subjective.
Bro, your angle of reasoning is not from this planet as I see it, well, it takes beyond that to call any gambler a successful one. if you have been gambling for so long and can't leave it and keep gambling, how are you sure you are not addicted to it? Something you have been doing and love doing and keep doing and still do not have any plan to leave? But this doesn't stop the success in gambling just establishing a point. Addictions come in stages and in most cases, those who are addicted may not even know that they are, especially when it is not affecting their personal life or they can take care of the managerial aspects of teh account and themslves even amidst the addiction. As for success, no matter how long the person has been gambling and how active the gambler is, if he is not making consistent money to the point of having a record of more winning than losing, such can never be tagged a successful one. This issue of success in gambling is irrespective of the hurdles the person has to face, even as an addict and the person that some people tags bad, or generally referred to as an irresponsible gambler, if he manages to have more winning and keep it that way, then such is still a successful gambler.
2065  Economy / Gambling / Re: Responsible gambling on: January 08, 2024, 02:13:49 PM
I've read quite a few threads about self-control, budget management, and more in this forum. The content in these threads is indeed helpful for newcomers, but it seems like there are already too many threads like this here. Honestly, it makes me bored.

Many people tend to lose control when they experience big wins or losses. Yeah... the emotions from the mind usually influence them to become greedy or vengeful. Any limits won't be of any use, so it's basically nonsense for people like them.

Wise individuals will stay wise in gambling, and that's an advantage not many people possess. Without you teaching them to set limits, they're already doing it automatically.

We need to set a clear expectation that when it comes to gambling one person's gain is another person's loss and vice versa this we cannot plan much here when it comes to tactics but yeah the only thing which we control over here is the amount of isk which we want to take as it should only be the amount we can afford to use and if we win there should be a percentage which should be reinvested rest should be saved if we can create an strategy around it then we can conquer the emotions and act like machine.
Many things need to be controlled, or should I say prevented and corrected by gamblers, they should not gamble based on how it comes to their head or how they feel it should be done at that moment without a due process and plan that will always put them right and keep them in check particularly when they are addicted to gambling. Gambling is not such that is easy to work through the way many think, but with the right gambling approach, the risk will be lessened and success could be made as it should, though not promised. Without mincing words, what's peculiar to those gamblers who are proud of what they do even if there is not much success is that they do have good plans, especially on budgets, and preserve their gambling psychology, and once they do not go astray, they are good to go.

They know what to do and what not to do which is a way to make gambling safe for everyone. Playing with the right calculation before opening that gambling platform will help you fight the urge to bet more, and we should always know that the gambler's plan without discipline and determination can still end in futility. We should guard our minds in this regard and make sure that we make it play as planned. There is nothing more responsible than this.
2066  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is It Still Ok To Buy BTC At $43875 ? on: January 08, 2024, 01:58:04 PM
Not really know if i can buy or go for other alt coins
My candid advice for you is to go for both, Bitcoin is high in price now so there is little you can gain from it again. But yes, you can still buy at $43,875 and even higher prices than that. I can only advise you to DCA your risk, that is what you can do in a situation like this which is highly uncertain as to whether you can be at an advantage or disadvantage buying at once. For this, DCA will lessen the risk of uncertainty and you will be just fine about it.

In case you do not know the meaning of DCA, you can google it for a better understanding. Again, I still advise you that you should invest some part of the money in Bitcoin while the other part is to be invested in altcoins. The altcoin season is still coming and they will dangerously move higher. Since they are still in their low prices not minding the ones that have moved in multiples in recent months, you can still get to make huge money in the multiple of your investment. If I were you at this stage, I might want to invest 30% of the money in Bitcoin and spread the rest on altcoins. With that, you've diversified your portfolio and success will be made over time.
2067  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance withdrawal fees are too high, what do I do? on: January 08, 2024, 01:43:42 PM
Currently, the withdrawal fee are 0.0008 btc, which is too high. What sould I do? I can't leave my btc on Binance, feeling kind of unsafe.
The worst thing is to have your Bitcoin in a centralised exchange especially if you want to maintain it in Bitcoin. As it is, there has never been a solution unless you convert it to another coin and then send it to your non-custodial wallet. You may later want to convert it to Bitcoin through a decentralised exchange. By this, you would have beaten the fee a little compared to the insane amount by Binance. But still, you will have to part ways with some money for obvious reasons. The congestion in the Bitcoin network is much, only that it can be lessened with DEX.
2068  Economy / Economics / Re: How to gain money on: January 08, 2024, 01:29:55 PM
Look around your immediate environment and fine a need that you can solve and get busy solving it and In the long run,  it will tell on your finances,  one of the best ways to earn money is to provide a services and most importantly give value to that service so that it could increase the demands.

Solving problems for others is what we mean by service try to monetise your time and get paid more frequently than you spend,  get an extra job if need be and practice contentment
You are on point, many ways exist where one can make it in life, in fact, they are in their hundreds if not thousands, but what is more potent and that has the best result and fastest is to solve people's needs and problems. You can make a huge amount of money doing that. This is especially true if the need/problem has not been solved before, nothing enriches people more than this. However, it mustn't go to that extent as people might just be in a locality and see the way they are being stressed going to the market that is far all the time. Such might bring the market down to them or closer to them, and by virtue making cool money and expanding his business in that locality.

This approach is common and before you know it, you might be ordering in a wholesale package and even giving people fairer prices that will dissuade them from going to the main market ever again. Another thing is creativity, once you are creative enough and are business-inclined, you can easily plan a very good means around yourself. You will only find a way you make your service and marketing better. Most importantly, you deliver the best jobs and you will be progressing.
2069  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do we even need bitcoin mixers? on: January 08, 2024, 12:27:35 PM
Now, that the mixers are banned from this forum, I wonder, why do we even need BTC mixers.
A non-KYC exchange solves the mixer problem where Bitcoin and Monero are available too.

1. If you have bitcoin which is connected to you and you want an untraceable one, you should:
i) Go to an (even KYC) exchange, where you change your BTC to XMR.
ii) Send the XMR to 'monero_address_1'.
iii) Send the XMR from 'monero_address_1' to 'monero_address_2' outside of the exchange.
iiii) Send XMR from 'monero_address_2' to a non/KYC exchange and change your XMR to BTC.

2. If you have 'dirty' bitcoin and you want a clear one, you should:
i) Go to a non-KYC exchange, where you change your BTC to XMR.
ii) Send the XMR to 'monero_address_1'.
iii) Send the XMR from 'monero_address_1' to 'monero_address_2' outside of the exchange.
iiii) Send XMR from 'monero_address_2'q to an (even KYC) exchange and change it to BTC.

As I see it, there are non-KYC services where you can change BTC to XMR or XMR to BTC.
According to my research, e.g. changenow.io seems a KYC exchange, but they don't ask your documents, only in case of suspicious transactions. Or do you know surely non-KYC echanges with BTC <-> XMR change possibility?
What do i miss?
I like the number one plan, it is a good approach for those who want their Bitcoin private for security and personal reasons with no strings attached. But what you are missing according to your question is encouraging "dirty Bitcoin." Should I say I detest this? Your insensitivity is what is missing and you should have just limited it to the first suggestion.

Bitcoin is a very good project, a near-perfect one for that matter if bad users could be kicked out. And no wonder Monero is a subject of controversy now and some exchanges are beginning to flag it for further studies before they act upon it.
2070  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens if all Bitcoin is lost? on: January 08, 2024, 11:49:41 AM
What would happen if all Bitcoin is mined and all Bitcoin is lost?
How is this even possible? Bitcoin all mined, and at the same time all lost? Well, I have read enough replies from people and I wonder why they even bother themselves with many of the suggestions since this is what will never be possible, it can't happen. Who stole them and where did they store them? For what reason and value did they steal them when they wouldn't be able to spend them?

Bitcoin is not a kangaroo blockchain and system where there will not be an explanation for what happens. Not this time what people thought was anonymous is no longer anonymous. The worst that could happen is for a bad news break to the extent that people do not want to deal with Bitcoin again. By this, the value will fall so much, but even at that, some people will still be adamant and will not sell their coin and continue to hold it.

And who knows, there could be a shift in the event and the coin gains back. Which will be a second chance for those who hold it to gain more. I do not see anything that can even cause total disappearance here. Also, on the second thought, can Bitcoin be 100% mined? I doubt that as there will always be divisions of mining and will go on like that unless the whole system crashes, which I don't see feasible for now.
2071  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I buy BNB now? on: January 08, 2024, 11:13:25 AM
Well BNB coin is now less then $300 and it still has hire marketcap then Solana. And in the last month the BNB chain has more activity then the Ethereum blockchain.
https://ambcrypto.com/bnb-chain-booms-with-user-activity-while-ethereum-falls-behind/

Solona marketcap is now down much in this week. The airdrop trend of solona has down which affected Sol token price. Those who were bullish on Bonk and solona other new token like JTO portfolio is going down every day. Bonk shed more than 60 percentage in the month which is clear sign that solona whales are giving up from Sol chain. It is good to hold bnb now because bnb trend is not just for one or two weeks. Binance is doing their best to shill BNB and probably once again bnb rise to 500$ above.
We can't expect less with the way altcoins are now falling, and no thanks to the ETF fillings in whose verdicts or postponements are expected this week. The too much negative expectations are dragging the cryptocurrency market back into losses, but obviously can't be that bad compared to how it was at the beginning of 2023 or late 2022. They will preserve most of their bullish trends as they also preserve most of their market capital. Take Solana for example, it is still preserved so well, that it would definitely fall but the falling can't be as much as people believed.

It is now in the top 5 ranking and might move a bit lower over time, but for how long? I expect it to quickly stabilise and get moving higher again over time. It is a bit higher than $30B now compared to the far lower amount of $10B at the beginning of 2023, so it is doing well, it is only a matter of time, and the expected bull run will definitely happen. As for BNB, it is also a major market in the cryptocurrency world and as long as Binance does not have issues, BNB will continue to rise. I expect it to move above $600 before the end of this year, so those who are not investing in it will be the ones to miss.
2072  Economy / Economics / Re: Imagine African countries using Bitcoin to pay salaries, on: January 08, 2024, 10:57:50 AM
I don't know if the government of any African country have adopted the system of paying salaries in Bitcoin, but I know here is Nigeria they haven't, it's possible to pay employees using Bitcoin or other crypto currencies ,
With the services of some crypto currency payroll agencies  like Bitwage, papaya global, ontop,  which will make it possible for the government to pay their workers in Bitcoin or other crypto currencies and can be sent  into their digital wallet,
Since it has to do with the government another agency can be set up in the country in respect to paying salaries as Bitcoin which will somehow help in the growth of the economy of the country.
You must be a big dreamer, my friend. First, Bitcoin is not a legal tender in the country, the central government must approve it after it has been successfully passed by the national assembly before such happens. Secondly, it will be an option for staff and not by force simply because they must agree with some terms if they would be paid in Bitcoin as Bitcoin is a volatile asset, which means that most of the staff will not receive the amount they were supposed to be paid. At times, it will be higher and at times it could be lower and devastating, so it will be impossible for the government to force it on people.

The workers also have the right to take the government to court if they are adamant about it as they are entitled to have to get paid for what they worked for. Thirdly, this is meaningless to the economy as it is, what if the workers agree to it and the citizens of Nigeria disagree? I mean the market sellers and all the people where the workers will spend it disallowed it? It will only amount to waste as the workers will quickly be changing it to fiat so that they can be able to spend it. Lastly, have you thought about the higher fees that the government and the staff will part ways with in the name of Bitcoin? In Nigeria, a few dollars is a big money due to the economy and bad FX. Imagine this time when the average fee to send Bitcoin is about $5, which is huge in the country, this can't be a good idea that could replace the almost no-fee transactions they receive their money with and are used to. There are many other factors to discourage this view of yours but let's leave it to this for now.
2073  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The most logical and profitable game on: January 08, 2024, 09:55:06 AM
In general, in my opinion, there are several categories of games in gambling such as house edge games, sportsbooks, slot machine games, live casino games, and lottery. In your opinion, which game do you think is the most logical to win? and what is the reason?
My gambling so far is still on sportsbooks and slot games, because maybe I have been used to it for a long time and get to know these bets easily. Sportsbooks can have a little probability which is enough to allow us to have a clear picture of winning by placing safe bets. Meanwhile, for me, everyone knows that slot games are about luck and how we are able to win. But on slot machines, I still choose and sort based on the provider because not all providers provide small bets under $0.2, especially when using a supported fiat display.
You are wise with this choice of gambling and the limitations you place on it. It is not a must that you gamble all the sections of casinos and even sportsbooks, carefully selecting the ones that you fully understand and that work best for you is enough for you. This will reduce the time you spend gambling, and the losses you can incur by gambling on many games, which could be excessive, and you might want to game here and there and waste money and still leave for another section of the casino if they are too much, which is not so wise in my thought. Also, for you to have chosen the sportsbooks means that you are wise, not all gamblers see the wisdom in this as the fairness of sportsbooks is better, so anyone gambling it will always be courageous of a fair play in most cases, and even if they lose, they will know that they did not lose foolishly to the house but did the right thing and the house gain due to their (gamblers) wrong bets.

Not that the programs could be rigged in favour of the house which is the concern of most people this day. Limiting the amount you bet on casinos is a very good thing as well, this is how I manage my casino's betting and still catch my fun. But if you have constraints with the limit set on the lost which you prefer to play, I advise you to find an alternative that will give you what you want. It is never a must to play with a casino that doesn't align with your philosophy of gambling.
2074  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mental rehabilitation clinic. on: January 08, 2024, 09:36:19 AM
Imagine that there is such a rehabilitation clinic for people who are addicted to gambling. Now imagine what they treat there without the use of pharmacology.
The main doctors there are gambling specialists, whose task is to convince you that you do not need to gamble. Your task, for example, is to prove that the patient most likely has a disordered game. In order to have long-term income, you need to have a gaming system. And not just a system, but a fairly innovative system of forecasting and risk management. Most likely the patient does not have it and never had it; otherwise he would have been successful and would not have ended up in rehab.
It is also necessary to find something for the patient to do instead of playing, so that he can occupy himself.
Now imagine that this gambling expert is you. What arguments will you give? What will you tell the patient about?
Please note that the patient will resist to the last. He will give counterarguments. For example, that he will get rich in the future, he’s just not lucky yet.
What other arguments do you think the patient will give? How do you respond to these arguments of his?
I hope one day, this kind of rehabilitation centre will be available for gambling addicts, and I must say that it will help so many of them. First, it is not a matter of drugs, so there can't be much related to it, but to make the investigation thorough about the underlying issues or causative, I believe that they might want to conduct some tests and drug tests will be part of them to know the cleanness of the person they are dealing with so that they will not be wasting their time on other things when it is partly caused by drugs. These people are professional and I believe they should know how to engage their patients more than a common person who is not in the field. They should know that there will be ugly behaviours and resistance.

We are talking about psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists and the related fields here, they will enter into your mind and get it fixed. It is not about them entertaining arguments alone and questions, they know the kind of mental treatment you need if you are such that will be adamant, this is the nature of their job and they would have seen worse than the tough persons, for this, I believe how to have their ways around it will never be an issue. Besides, it is a general thing that gamblers need money which is why most of us are doing it and the addicts will always want to use that as an excuse from going back to it. But with their right convictions with proofs, and with practical examples of the former people before the person in question and how they ended their lives without gambling success, such gamblers might have a rethink. I am not an expert in this field so do not let me go further, but emphatically, for a clinic like this to be established you should know that they are not there to play. They would have every answer to every issue and a higher record of success would be achieved.
2075  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lotteries and possibility vs. probability on: January 08, 2024, 08:41:26 AM
Although the chances of winning for the lottery are small, many players still buy lottery coupons because of a promise that if they win, they will get a lot of money and can make them rich in just 1 lottery coupon. lotteries in mainland America and Europe have very large prizes and rewards.
But yes, winning is very difficult, mostly just a dream for coupon buyers but certainly there are those who win the lottery so spending a little money, for example cigarette money is reduced to buy coupons, will not be burdensome.
Anything that is casino-related has a slim chance of winning, and it doesn't stop the fact that some people can win big with it. This winning is the target of most gamblers and the reason why they patronise casinos engaging in lotteries, they have hope in it. The lottery is not a child's play and it depends on the lottery we are talking about to know how easy or difficult the winning could be. There are some that will just be about the general drawing for the lucky winners and nothing more, but in some, gamblers can still use some mathematical calculations to get the possible results. And guess what? This works and I've seen a lot of people who didn't predict randomly but went to their calculation table to draw out the possible outcome and it works for them.

The best of this is when they are playing a certain lottery that is manually set but has had some internal calculations that will always follow a certain pattern. The issue is that it could be rigged like others since it is not easy for the house to follow the same logic on this all the time, many people will later get to know it and use it to make money against them. In all, people can win in lotteries by luck and by their efforts, but no one should ever believe they can get rich in lotteries. However, if it happens, they can embrace it and be happy. You see that people often have this belief in winning in lotteries, which is why they will continue to patronise it.

End of the day I have learn as a gambler if you are addected with it it's very bad habit and hearmful for you economical condition. If you learn properly and play it cold mind then that could be a game changer for your life. Because if you take stape cleverly then there is high chance to win and the claver wining can chenge your life. That's the reason take stape in cold mind and thinking.
You are making sense. You see, the issue with gamblers always starts from the beginning, they believe it is one kind of cheap means which is informal, forgetting the fact that it has to do with money also, and hence the need for proper understanding and guidance about it. Most gamblers are losing needlessly and avoidably, they can do better if they learn it well and know what to do and what shouldn't be done so that they can progress. Many will ignore mental health while gambling as well, not to talk of the managerial aspects of it, so I do not expect less, they will lose and get discouraged unless they can change.

Gambling on its own is fun and encouraging if one could carefully study it to engage it wisely, calculatively and responsibly. There is some mindset you do not take to gamble, and there is some money you should never gamble with, but most gamblers just gamble without any plan and restrictions, and in the end, they will be crying foul. It is not too late for anyone though, they can start over again, but no one should ever believe that gambling is a life-changing avenue, this is one of the issues gamblers have. Gambling should be engaged politely and with a light mind even if the bettor can still gain a little from it or believe so. Peradventure if a good engagement of the gamblers with with it makes the little expectation become big, fine, it is their luck, but it shouldn't be in the mind from the beginning. It will only corrupt it and make the gambler gamble anyhow.

-snip-
I know that there are diverse bets on unconventional events like Miss World, the US election and even wars. But this one is new and I just want to know if you will be comfortable betting on the spot Bitcoin ETF.
Let's us be careful where we are gambling as many would hide under this to swindle people. But for gambling of this sort, it is not new, only that the ETF per se is new when it comes to the Bitcoin investment, and since it is what is appreciated now, people are finding ways to make money around it and I do not think that this is a bad idea if it is legit.

But who knows the capacity of the people involved? What if the number of people that won the bet is in the hundreds of millions, can they ever be able to pay? That is the risk since no one knows their financial standing but just gambling. They might have been doing similar things before but the amount might not be as high as it would be now to the point that it could overwhelm them. Well, I sense trouble if more people participated and the amount of running to a huge value. For me, I will not gamble on my money with them, but if it is another trusted site that is well-experienced in gambling, why not?
2078  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Answer this Gambling Question on Duration of Joy after a win or loss on: January 07, 2024, 09:20:37 PM
No one enjoys losing in gambling.Losing brings our hopes down, it ushers in emotional pain and grumpiness whereas, winning elevates our mood, bringing happiness and excitement. There are games where I have won and after withdrawing my winnings, I am so happy that I give gifted some of it to people around me. This doesn't last for long once the it is out of my hand and minds. I am curious, how long does this joy last after a win or a loss—does it linger until your next bet, lasting the whole day, just 20 minutes, or perhaps 2 hours?
Well done cheerful giver! I can see the reason why you feel the way you feel, you take gambling as though is nothing, forgetting that when you make money lawfully, it is irrespective of the source, you have to take it seriously and not spend it anyhow. You must have gifted the winning money out simply because in your mind you thought it was free money, as though it is nothing to you. But actually, this is not free money, it is just the way you thought about it and the excitement of that time that made you behave the way you did. What if you lose the bet? So, you need to change this psychology, and this will not last, of course, it is just about the hormone at work at that time, you can correct it next time.

To me, if I win in gambling, I treat it as a business, just like I do when I trade the market or invest money, I don't waste the profit just because I am excited. Will you because you do business and gain and started doling out money to people anyhow? You need to have that good psychology about gambling, that is why you will not feel so excited when you win or lose, you just continue with the mood of a gambler, that's all. Don't get me wrong, it is your money and you can use it the way you like but just establishing the point about your feelings. It is you who should readjust your orientation about betting, and if done, you will feel almost the same way after winning and not a doused one after much initial excitement.
2079  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there any fun in losing while gambling on: January 07, 2024, 08:53:54 PM
OP, there is a different fun in losing at gambling. But this is not the case with all gambling, there are some online and offline gambling that even if you lose, it turns out to be a lot of fun things. My losing record in offline gambling is very low. When I lose a gambling game to my opponent, I start to feel restless as well as amused. Because having skilled opponents for gambling increases my pleasure in gambling. At that time, my interest in gambling increased many times. Again in many cases it can be seen that some online games also play gambling through games. There they have a lot of fun, and love to play the games even though they lose at gambling. To satisfy the mind, even if gambling loses, there is much joy there.
You have so many good points there but it is easier said than done. But can be so pleasing if the gambler has planned for his gambling beforehand. The plans must entail the time to spend in the gambling house or on the platform, the amount of money to bet overall and the amount of money to wager per bet. In addition, the gambler would determine the number of consistent losses that will make him get out of the betting platform/house and all that. With this style and mindset, nothing is going to be special about losing, and I must say that I do it so much in trading and it works well in averting emotions from my trading psychology.

And the less money you are wagering with, the better for you as this will be so affordable for you to let go unlike those who are using a big amount to wager, it definitely can't be easy for them. However, if everyone would yield the best gambling advice when it comes to casinos, it's better and safer to engage with the mind of fun and not the money you want to gain from it. And if you lose, it might not hurt you since you are there in the first place to have fun, which is what I believe that the OP is trying to convey to query if it is possible. And yes, it is possible to lose and just smile at the whole thing since you are in for the pleasure most and not for the money and you have also outsmarted huge losses by wagering little.

Take note and be aware that your way of gambling could affect your relationships and the circle of your relatives.
Most especially your relatives would look up to you as an older person and like your lifestyle and then would like to emulate it because they see the elder brother figure in you. Some of your relatives who you know are underage and immature to understand that there is responsible gambling and that you can actually be gambling for fun with the chance to win money and not to just win money need to be starved of any information about you being involved in gambling.
Some things are just meant for adults and not the younger ones so that it will not corrupt them as they grow, we should better keep it that way. I don't think this is hard either, it is all about us knowing the time and where we do adult things including gambling and keeping it away from those who are supposed not to be privy to it. By doing this, you are saving lives as you never can tell how much it could be devastating on the young ones, especially if they become addicted to it as they grow and it becomes uncontrollable for them. I don't think they can also forgive the person when they grow older as they flash back at it. This happens a lot. This is part of what we are referring to when we call responsibility in gambling, it is beyond the responsibility of gambling itself but also how it affects your life and the people around you. Even if you are such that is responsible for your gambling and also make money through it, you shouldn't let the younger ones know about it as the money-making sense of it is what they will be targeting not minding the risks involved. It might have been too late for them to realise this.
