2061  Economy / Economics / Re: How to save as food inflation jumps more than 11% in a year on: October 21, 2022, 08:30:30 PM
The idea that we need to produce our own food never looked appealing to me at all. Why? Well simply because when you need a new clothe, do you manufacture it yourself? When you need a new TV, do you make it yourself? A new chair? A new pc? A new phone? A new desk? There aren't that many things in the world which we do, we are only responsible for our own jobs, and we earn money from our jobs and use that money to buy all the other things.

If I am producing my own food as well, then let everyone do that and destroy all farmers, why are they even useful in that case? Which means, crops should get cheaper, instead of me trying to figure out how to raise crops my own.
The idea may not be bad, but it certainly isn't for everyone.
You and I may have the same thoughts about the idea so it is not suitable to adopt it. Then the lack of land to produce food ingredients is another factor why the idea is actually not good if it comes from the government. Well we are not yet at the crisis stage, but actually the current economic condition is dying due to inflation. The loss of currency prices, it has resulted in many food prices increasing while incomes have not increased.

I think its time for Chelsea to wake up from their sleep. They have a good team this season but just dont have the best results. While Man Utd is slowly picking up form but we will see how the Ronaldo situation will have an effect on them. For me i think it will be an easy win by Chelsea.
I didn't expect it to be an easy match for Chelsea. Manchester United have improved a lot and I think it would be good to expect a great performance as well. In the previous game, Manchester United managed to beat Tottenham with a good performance, and I hope in the match against Chelsea they also managed to do it apart without Ronaldo's presence.

Oh maybe, but I don't think Chelsea are a weak opponent at the moment but at least I expect a great match for both of them. Chelsea are playing at home, that's a bit of an advantage for them.
2063  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: October 21, 2022, 06:13:03 PM
The evaluation of each team in every single game needs to take on consideration many aspects. For Liverpool they started this season poorly, they are recovering and finding somehow a better shape which is quite reassuring.
Liverpool have won their last 2 Premier League match or 3 match in a row if including against Rangers in the Champions League. In their last 2 matches, Liverpool have not managed to score more than 1 goal either against West Ham or Manchester City. I don't think Liverpool have come back to their best form, but those 2 wins are important to make the players more motivated to win.

For Nottingham, they are poor in defence and attack line. I don't expect much from them in that game.
Nottingham is not a very strong opponent for Liverpool, but if Liverpool make a mistake then they may also drop points. Nottingham is a team 20th place in the standings, so Liverpool's victory may be very real to look forward to.

I have been registered ahead of you and feel ashamed now, perhaps lack time to do such quality posts or I am just a non-quality poster which is a reason now I am trying to encourage myself as you have said.
If you're not a good poster then I'm sure today you probably won't be able to merit  much from 60 different users. I think you just need to be patient and do something better than beat yourself up while celebrating the success of other users. It is important to feel confident in your own ability to achieve something, even if it takes a long time.

Your merit to the next rank is less than 100, so it shouldn't be too much when you've managed to get 85% more so far. Less than 15% you will qualify for rank up to Hero, so don't be discouraged.

2065  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another opportunity is coming, a time to hold on: October 21, 2022, 05:45:16 PM
People change their minds very often and assume the 30% of Canadians is a correct number with a good survey, we don't know how many of them will actually do as they answered in the survey. It can be higher than 30% or lower than 30% but it's likely more people will change their minds from Do to Don't. However, we can not know how many others say Don't in the survey will change to Do.
of course it is difficult to predict what will happen to the survey results with reality. I didn't think much of it but it might sound good to know that people are quite enthusiastic about crypto. As you said, people can change quickly from doing to not doing, but we don't know how that will turn out to be because it's still a long time.

And 2 years are long enough in cryptocurrency and the market might attract more new people to join within two years.
It might not be, but it's more likely to be true considering crypto is in such a good period of growth. Without the big problems especially the economy, maybe we can expect more new people in the crypto market.
2066  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to raise funding for trading? on: October 21, 2022, 03:56:01 PM
Votality is indeed the main problem why borrowing will be very risky.
Maybe you mean volatility, not volatility.

Borrowing from a bank is also related to the problem of time, because loan payments will be made every month, if you are late making payments there will be a fine that is billed. Even professional traders will be at risk if they make a large loan to the bank, because the market cannot be predicted 100%, there will be some possible failures. Loans also require collateral, and the collateral will be confiscated if they cannot repay the loan.
Banks or lenders don't seem to want to know the reason why you are late paying off your monthly loan, even if they give an additional deadline then I guess you have to pay a fine. This will certainly make the trading strategy go awry and I think eventual failure is more likely.

It is better to collect money from any source even if it is small, so that you can use those savings to trade with consistent profits.
I like this idea because it's actually not too risky even though the profit is relatively small. That's fine, but some people seem to be willing to take big risks for big gains too. In trading I never do, but maybe for real business I have exceptions.
2067  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: October 20, 2022, 06:55:28 PM
This season Manchester City will try to get the UCL title because Manchester City has never felt how beautiful the UCL title is and it's the same with PSG who have never won the UCL trophy. So this season I think these two teams will continue to do their best to compete in every game for the UCL trophy.
A good hope for Manchester City to reach the final this season is if they are not drawn against Real Madrid or maybe other top teams in various leagues. I know Manchester City are the favourites, but Real Madrid is a team that has won more in the Champions League than any other team.

You can even expect Real Madrid to reach the final this season and talk about them more often than Manchester City and any other team. You have to remember that Real Madrid are the reigning champions who are more likely to reach the final than any other favourite. The facts are true, but Real Madrid's run this season really depends on the fitness of its strikers.
2068  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: October 20, 2022, 06:49:26 PM
The entire squad was focused from defense to midfied Fred should have been man of the match he filled the space well for erikson and Casemiro was perfect with tackles and defending the defense,if you noticed man utd had full control of the game and that made Tottenham shoot less shot to Man United post. Chelsea rested some players for them can they win man utd at all
Every now and then I'm proud of Manchester United especially when they can really play in good form. Against Tottenham and Liverpool were the two best games in my opinion, but for some other games they looked very boring.

After the win against Tottenham, I believe another good result will come in the match against Chelsea. Manchester United must perform optimally in that match, especially because they are very close to getting into the top 3. Winning is mandatory, but who doesn't know Chelsea, they are a good team to fight and get maximum points.
2069  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: October 20, 2022, 06:18:34 PM
This season Villarreal have had great results away from home. From 9 matches, Unai Emery's team managed to get 8 points in away matches. These statistics must be considered by Barcelona.
When talking about certain records, then you also need to pay attention that Barcelona actually has a good record at home too. No defeats and no goals conceded where 3 from 4 of the matches were won and the other 1 was a draw against Rayo Vallecano. Isn't that something Villareal should think about?

Of course Barcelona could have conceded and dropped points in that match, but I think Xavi's team are much more likely to be favorites at home. Barcelona's probabilities are better, but the final score will be decisive. I hope everything goes well for them, but it would be great if Barcelona dropped points again, that's an advantage for Real Madrid.
2070  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: October 20, 2022, 06:07:18 PM
Bookmakers evaluate the chances of teams as follows:

2.90 - 3.50 - 2.38

I think it's fair that Napoli is the favorite (how could it be otherwise with such a phenomenal scoring game), but 2.9 for a Roma win looks tempting. It seems to me that Roma should win more often in such games than 35%. There are no guarantees, but in terms of distance, I think it's profitable to bet on Roma.
Don't know why you seem tempted by the higher odds for Roma compared to Napoli. KTCampions, Napoli are a consistent team so far and it is difficult for me to justify that they will lose to Roma who have started well in recent match. Napoli are unbeaten in their last 10 matches in Serie A and I think that good trend will be maintained by Napoli in this match.

It may be true that something can change in a match due to chance, but Napoli are a team with a higher goal-productivity than any other team in Serie A at the moment. I think Napoli won this match, but Roma are a team that has improved now. 7 wins in 10 matches and only lost 2 and the rest were draws are good statistics from Mourinho's team. Interesting to look forward to.
2071  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Colleague at work now have bitcoin holdings on: October 20, 2022, 03:44:31 PM
This is one of my achievement in spreading the awareness of bitcoin in my locality so far
Good jobs, but rest assured that what you are doing today has actually been done by hundreds to thousands of other people even though they don't need a thread to announce it. In short, this is the most likely thing you can do if you really want to make people aware about bitcoin in your community.

I haven't had many bad experiences with the bank and its services, but it actually now makes me a little distrustful of it as a very worthwhile place to keep money. Of course I think you need to think about how money works for you rather than you forever working for money, and if this mindset starts to exist then I believe investing is the way out. By the way, welcome to your friends on the forum.
2072  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What problem does Bitcoin solve? on: October 20, 2022, 03:22:43 PM
This goes back to policy, indeed, when things like this are still illegal, there is no need to force the will to spend bitcoin because as long as it can still be traded or become an investment asset, why should it be anything else.
It's a different story if the country you live in has made a policy on bitcoin, it can be a legal payment instrument.

But as time progresses and more and more about the adoption of bitcoin, it is possible for something like this to happen in your country, the most important thing is to wait.
Of course there is a chance to expect that adoption to happen in the future, but I don't think it will happen anytime soon.
For a time, it was hard for me to expect the government to legalize bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency as a means of payment. In fact I very much doubt they will change the rules in the next 10-15 years even though there are many countries that are starting to soften the rules.

Ultimately regulation is a problem that makes bitcoin unusable as a legal tender and even the government is eager to centralize bitcoin users with its new rules. In the last few months I started paying taxes for every buying and selling transaction on the local exchange, it benefit the government even though they have managed to prevent use cases as a means of payment.
2073  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: October 19, 2022, 05:35:32 PM
Look let's be so sincere, this season Pep has adjusted his formation to focus more Haaland. Take the game against Copenhagen as an example, the team was totally off. Look again at there game against Liverpool in EPL, immediately Haaland was pocketed by the Liverpool defence the entire Man City team were off in that match.
No need, I watched the match from the start and I think Haaland can still get away from close guard and he can get some shots and headers mostly saved by Allison. So I guess we don't need to argue about something that we both really see right. Liverpool's defense and goalkeeper were good in that match, but they were lucky because Manchester City were caught off guard in defense which allowed them to concede on the counter-attack.

It's not so much about how many goals he's scored as it is about how the team is playing. Right now, the team is built around Halaand, he gets all of the first passes in the third half of the field, he's the target man, and every other player plays for him. Everything is going well right now, but what happens when he gets injured or loses form? He shot blank in the previous game, and the team lost.

To win the Champions League, you need all player's contributions
I don't think you're wrong, but that's how strategy should be. Strikers play an important role in scoring goals, and every midfielder and winger will probably send a pass to the striker for a goal. So many teams do it but really I don't argue for Manchester City while I'm a Real Madrid fan.  Cheesy
2074  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What problem does Bitcoin solve? on: October 19, 2022, 05:24:25 PM
There are so many uses for bitcoin that it's a shame if we miss it and don't have it, although there are still many who are against the existence of this bitcoin. But that's not a problem because I believe that bitcoin will soon be accepted in all circles although it takes time. and it's proven that now a lot of big investors are starting to look at the potential of bitcoin.
Assets like this are what we need today, that don't burden the user in every way. This is the advantage of bitcoin that we can't doubt anymore.
Of course it's true, bitcoin has many uses but bitcoin tends to be used more for trading and investing assets than its use case as a currency in my opinion. I don't want to talk about other countries, but Indonesia (my country) every bitcoin user is not allowed to use it as a legal tender. This does not rule out the possibility of getting sanctions if violated, and that is what makes bitcoin only used as an investment and trading asset.

Regulation is still the most discussed issue as to why bitcoin has not been adopted as legal tender on a wider scale. I don't think this regulation will change quickly especially if most countries are desperate to own their own crypto through CBDC.
2075  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: What to do if your Ledger key have gone in the washing machine on: October 19, 2022, 04:53:25 PM
If the Ledger have been in the washing machine you could try the rice trick. It works to save phones that has been damaged with water, and if it works for phones it should work fine with a Ledger.
Yes, it is a helpful solution actually. I had a unique experience when I forgot to bring my raincoat when I went to the forest and didn't get shelter when it rained. All my electronic devices got wet including my cell phone and camera but rice has helped me save them from damage.

This advice can also be helpful for other things that get wet for other reasons, including Ledger for example. But if it's a storage wallet, then I'd rather advise users to buy another one right away instead of using it even though rice can help them reuse (in most cases).
2076  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: October 19, 2022, 03:56:49 PM
If it came down to player quality, PSG would have won it in the last few years because they had better players than other teams. The previous years' winners have taught us that the trophy is won through teamwork, not how many quality players you have on your team. Manchester City, without a doubt, has champions league experience, but they must understand that winning the champions league is not a one-man show; they are relying heavily on Halaand this season, which is not a good idea. Tbh.
I don't seem to agree if you think Manchester City are very dependent on Haaland. It's true Haaland has scored a lot of goals for Manchester City, but I think that's his job as a striker. Other players can also score goals such as Foden, Bernardo Silva, Julian Alvarez or De Bruyne, but Haaland is a target man in the Manchester City squad especially in attack.

For this season, my hero remains at Real Madrid regardless of which team is considered a good candidate to win. Manchester City, PSG, Bayern Munich or any team are good but about the title I want Real Madrid to defend it.
2077  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: October 19, 2022, 03:37:16 PM
I was even surprised Man City lost. Moh.Salah's goal became the decisive goal of the victory. Haaland's goal was annulled by the referee. I think Joao Cancelo was quick to make salah karane unable to sweep the ball from Alisson's delivery to Moh Salah.
In addition, I also saw de Bruyne also missing from midfield. De Bruyne failed to become a creative midfielder. Fabinho and Tiago succeeded in shutting down his creativity. It disrupted the flow of the ball to haaland. In addition Var also provided assistance to Liverpool , as Haaland's goal was cancelled out.
I'm not too surprised, it's a good result for Liverpool. Manchester City actually had some good chances, but unfortunately they struggled to score in that match and ended up losing. Then I think you have to correct a bit that it wasn't Haaland's goal but Foden's goal which was disallowed by the referee because of VAR. In that match Liverpool played well without making many mistakes, that is clearly different from some other match where they drop points so easily.

If in Laliga El Clasico between Barcelona and Real Madrid, now in the English League the Liverpool vs Manchester City match looks the same. What do you think?
2078  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: October 19, 2022, 03:09:01 PM
Barcelona biggest obstacle in La Liga is still Real Madrid. So when they lose it obviously affects the stability of the players. Because when the top of the standings was led by Real Madrid, it seemed as if Barcelona still couldn't get past. However Real Madrid is already in the first standings, and they will continue to maintain that position. The current Barcelona still can't keep up with Real Madrid and that's the reality. Besides Real Madrid, who are still focused on chasing trophies this season in the Champions League, it seems they don't want to miss the La Liga trophy either.
I believe Barcelona are the best rivals for Real Madrid every season, they have sparked high spirits to compete until the end of the season even though I know Real Madrid are the kings of Laliga. I never underestimate Barcelona more than any other team, they are the reason why Real Madrid are better.

At the moment Real Madrid lead the table with a 3 point advantage over Barcelona, but I don't think it's a safe distance to stay ahead because to be honest Barcelona can put good pressure on them by winning match by match. So no one is the best if there are no competitors, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid are by far good rivals for Real Madrid in Laliga.
2079  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: October 16, 2022, 06:40:35 PM
Actually Real Madrid have a complete team for this year. There are so many Real Madrid strikers, if one of them is injured, then there are other players as substitutes. In the last few weeks when Karim Benzema was injured, Rodrygo and Asensio could replace him. In addition, the performance of Real Madrid's players was very good against Barca in today's match. If we look at the average player performance of 7.0

Carlo is an experienced coach compared to Xavi. We can see substitutions are always at the end or after the opponent's substitutions are made. So that Carlo can replace it with an equivalent. And Carlo really believes in the ability of young players.
Great match for Real Madrid today. To be honest, I am very happy with the result and it is as expected. Now Real Madrid have made it 3 points clear of Barcelona although I don't think it's always safe. As I said before, this is a different match from the previous meeting record and great, I deserve to celebrate.
2080  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Biggest Mysteries Of Bitcoin on: October 16, 2022, 09:20:08 AM
One of the biggest mysteries in the technology world is the identity of Satoshi Nakamoto
No and no, I don't think it's the biggest mystery for bitcoin, but people continue to think of it as a mystery because they really want to know it. Maintaining privacy is not a mystery, but I think the biggest mystery of bitcoin is knowing when this currency was able to dominate world financial transactions and be adopted globally.

Satoshi should take very good care of his privacy, he doesn't need to reveal how many bitcoin he has, how many wallets he has and where he is now. That's the privacy you really have to think about when you have a bank in your hands.
