I don't see any problem with the Dallas Mavericks' style of play, I think they should not focus more on Luka, move the ball well like the Suns are doing so everyone will have the chance to shoot, if that will happen, they will become a tough team to beat because they will be unpredictable while they still can have a consistent Luka Doncic.
They should make an adjustment already, don't wait until they'll be in a losing streak.

Each to their own. Although, I find him quite down to earth outside of fighting. The thing about the fight business is you've to put on this persona. It's what sells fights, and gets you fans. However, if you listen to him outside of that, he's actually quite a humble, and nice sounding lad.

I find it weird how promotion Eagle FC is doing. Its owner is one of most famous and reputed person in MMA community, but there are few info about its events. Last time I saw an event in Eagle FC was summer 2022. I thought there were no events, but it turns out that there was on in October, and there is going to be Eagle FC Selection 6 this Friday. No big names, or I would say that for us, total no-names are going to fight on this event. But I am amazed from organization level. I though Eagle FC was dead or on pause, but it has events and basically 0 promotion. Either Khabib is super busy or let things go by themselves. Yes, I'm also expecting that this time around they will make sure that they are more competent and much more ready than what they had last season. There is a positive side to the Conor McGregor fiasco, he took the sport to a different level because there are more people watching these fights which means more money to the fighters, before that no one earned a million dollars per fight in the UFC, but now all the top level stars are earning a million dollars per fight and it is all because Conor McGregor took it to the next level.
Conor McGregor has proven his entertainment value and because of the drama that he added to the sports it became more flavorful no doubt about that, he surely hypes not only the community but others that didn't know MMA or the UFC people just got into the boat out of curiosity, that is why I agree that Conor McGregor has fueled the sales up because Khabib Nurmagomenodov doesn't want to really hype the fight he is just contended in what he gets in every fight he does, No doubt about his dedication and the skill level and when it comes to the ground game he is way ahead of everyone else, now everyone is doing the Dagestani handcuff to control the opponents but to reach to his level it takes a lot of time.

UFC cannot afford to lose the Russian fan base. Because the Russian fan base is almost half of the fans of UFC. And obviously having Khabib Nurmagomedov had a big influence on the UFC and that is a big reason why we see so many Russian fighters in the UFC right now.
In addition, more and more Russians are becoming interested in the UFC day by day. I like what UFC is doing right now. They are not making a fuss about it and just doing what they should. They are just handling business right now and they are staying as far away as they can from all the propaganda and politics about the Russia versus Ukraine war.
I really think they will not lose the Russian fan base sure there are just a lot of Russian Fighters and many of them are really dominating on the ground, surely because of the ground game of Khabib Nurmagomedov, it was a game-changer for the UFC and other combat sports so far, and their style on ground game is also dominating the Jiujitsu users in all combat sports right now, pretty much if a Russian Dagestani fighter is present inside the octagon or ring, it will surely showcase Dagestani Wrestling VS Brazilian Jiujitsu for sure, |

Both camps will continue to review their opponents fighting strategy, though with what you mentioned, I agree that Loma's last performance is not the same old Loma that we use to know, but on my own opinion, I can say that Loma is a skillfull fighter who can adjust with the way his opponents try to bring the fight, he will observe and will come up with startegy.
We might see the best of him again when facing the title holder, a good matchup that we will expect to happen next year.
Vasyl Lomachenko's last fight was with Jamaine Ortiz and I think Ortiz did a great job with their fight but still, Lomachenko has become dominant in their fight when Ortiz sends a punch to Lomachenko's guard he surely counters it with his own combination, Vasyl Lomachenko has given Ortiz the pressure on that fight, now regarding what is next to Vasyl Lomachenko I really think like you have said he can surely observe his opponent movement and can adjust his style on who is his opponent,
I also agree, there are many fans of Loma who was obviously shaken with his performance because maybe the bar has been set very high. Maybe Ortiz is huge for him or Loma is getting old already (as per his crtics).
But he all know how Loma is very skillful, maybe he just had a ring rust or his mind is still with his beloved Ukraine that's why his performance is kinda disappointed.
However, if he is going to fight Haney for all the belts, then that is a extra motivation for him because that's what he really wanted until he lost to Teofimo Lopez.

Now you are jumping conclusions and misreading what i meant. I wasn't talking anything about cancelling fights, you did that. And i merely mentioned the heat between those countries. But i'll explain myself:
As Thomas Mann said "Everything is politics." And obviously when things get heated enough, it affects to Fighters/players motivation. And when you think about professionalism, do you think that fights in other non combat sports let's say in ice hockey are staged, professional or in any way planned? No. Why it would be anything else in MMA? It doesn't matter how professional you plan to look like if you are frustrated enough, especially when you are getting beaten by them.
Well, we could say that there are some that have been planned, and there are some that do not, regardless of whether being political or not if the fighter doesn't have free will his fight would end up then it can be fixed but there is not a way we can know if the fight will include a political agenda or not if the backer of a certain fighter is a politician then certainly there could be a fixing that is happening, and certainly anything can be controlled with a certain amount of money they have,
Russian athletes participate in UFC right now with a small remark - I think they are not allowed (or at least asked) not to bring Russian flags during ring walk and decision announcement. Remember how they always put flags on their shoulders or back? Havent seen flags for a while. Maybe there are more politics involved in other MMA promotions, but, as UFC are a lot about money, they will never lose a chance to earn. UFC rooster is full of Russian fighters, Russian UFC fan base is huge. UFC will never turn back against such a sweet peace of pie.
Dana White doesn't really care at all if there is money involved he will certainly dive right into it, and not say a thing about it, there are certain ways political views would certainly change the way the fight goes, but for me as a viewer of some combat sports, you will not look at some fights that it will have a political agenda involve in it because if you do you will not enjoy certain things, at some point it surely happens to me I have questioned if UFC is legit or there will be a fixed that would go on with a certain fight if you would think about that you will certainly not enjoy watching a fight because of your suspicion you would certainly think that all are not legit or all will be just fixed for you, and you will not enjoy the essence of MMA |

Anyway here is my pick result for today's game and my last post for my betting, here in this thread, Philadelphia 76ers VS Atlanta Hawks SCORE 104 - 101 - LOST Close game and a great spread for the Hawks, but a great job for Shake Milton, Tobias Harris, and Joel Embiid the game could have been the other way around but they really did a great job getting this win, Toronto Raptors VS Cleveland Cavaliers SCORE 100 - 88 - WINA close game at 1st but the Raptors bested the Cavaliers in the 2nd half for the Raptors to win, Utah Jazz VS Chicago Bulls SCORE 107 - 114 - LOSTIt was another close match and for me, the Utah Jazz could have won this they are crushing it in the 1st half and gaining momentum with so much deep, but the Bulls is just good at getting those free throws, Defensive and offensive rebounds were mostly for the Bulls, why they slightly win this game, Los Angeles Lakers VS Indiana Pacers SCORE 115 - 116 - WINClose game for sure Russell Westbrick was really crazy and for me, this is really the best play the Lakers had to offer their fans, well this is just my opinion but again they still lost this one, but they nearly won it if it wasn't for Andrew Nembhard's 3 point shot, |
