2061  Economy / Economics / Re: Are people really having the wrong concept of savings? on: February 20, 2023, 04:32:24 PM
There could be a time that is better to save but at this time when currencies are affected so much by inflation, it's not the best time to save. So that must make the concept of saving money be wrong.

The old folks used to say that if they just knew what the rich men did before world war 2 happen, they would have done it as well like buying up gold and silver.
2062  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Give it a break. on: February 20, 2023, 03:24:34 PM
It's more like superstitious that when take a moment to stop and continue the next week your luck will change. Maybe the point is to stop the losing streak and a week of break will save you from losing more.

If you try gambling on blackjack for a while and have those losing steak, why not take a break to bet on sports for a moment and then back to blackjack after?  You got your break but you also got a chance to win somewhere else.

2063  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Question about token holders for a specific projet on: February 19, 2023, 08:02:26 PM

That is very suspicious indeed.
Total supply     900,000,000 MOV
Movn: Deployer  898,184,721 MOV

It doesn't even look like it's promising by the looks of thier site. And it seems like you did some research about them already and found out about the rich list. If you are still interested in this project after finding out these details, the blame could just be on you. There are so much more projects that are worth investing in.
2064  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue - WBC and WBO 122 lbs bout - May on: February 19, 2023, 06:46:08 PM
It's a humble thing for Inoue to say that he's also having troubles in terms of pressure. We've known the guy to be a very decorated and experienced fighter and we think that he's already past these stages wherein he's worried about the pressure. The jump from bantamweight to featherweight isn't that much, but he acknowledges that it might be something that he isn't thoroughly prepared for and that's commendable compared to fighters who talks trash and can't really stand up for it.

It's not that Inoue is already past the stages of being pressured. There will always be pressure if a boxer will fight a title match right away just after moving up. Aside from that, Inoue is used to fighting as a champion and not a challenger and that's the new environment he is facing and not the jump from 118 to 122 as for me, it shouldn't be a big deal.

Fighting also in Japan, where the boxing market industry is huge and decent money is circulating in every of his fight in his hometown, Inoue does carry a responsibility on his shoulder to win the fight or else, a negative post-effect is expected to follow although not to the point that it will be considered as worst.

He's moving up and the chance that he will be facing much tougher opponents will add to his pressure, the kind of conditioning
and training that he needed to undergo is not the same as the last division that he's fighting.

But that kind of gesture only shows respect to his opponent, knowing that even he's a challenger instead of talking trash to hype
the fight, Inoue is willing to take what is necessary to win against Fulton.

The end result will give either him or Fulton another hype to their respective careers.

He is just being humble. Surely he isn't the one who brags all the time like Broner. Inoue is even the top dog for bookmakers in this match despite him being the challenger and the first-timer in this division. Because Inoue move up, it is a mandatory fight for Fulton afaik so surely this is Inoue's initiative to fight someone in this new division he is in.

This will be an easy fight for Inoue which is not also a good odds again. If the line would 1.35 I think it will be enough for me to bet my usual small amount.
2065  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's your reasons for holding bitcoins? on: February 19, 2023, 06:21:35 PM
It doesn't matter much what most people think. What's great about Bitcoin is that you don't really need to care much on what people use it for, as long as you can use it for your preferred purpose.
Your wallet and your coins, then bitcoin is the responsibility of the owner, no third party will manage it.
Used as anything it will not be a problem for others.

Here maybe we learn how people who have lots of bitcoins manage these bitcoins to provide long term benefits.
Because people will not hold bitcoins forever without any purpose.

Besides profit, I guess we all have different reasons I have mine for betting which is still going to be considered for profit. But one reason that anyone has not yet heard of I think was that Holding Crypto or BTC with you makes you attractive  Grin

Oh yeah that might surprise you but according to binance survey, crypto could have a positive impact on one's attractiveness. Below is CZ's tweet about it. Time to get laid O yeah!
https://twitter.com/cz_binance/status/1625465624771035138
Talking about someone's fascination with holding bitcoin, then you are indirectly showing off that you hold bitcoin, and then people start to get interested.
This will be dangerous for you if there are other people who have bad intentions to steal your bitcoins.
But as long as you still keep your personal address secret, then it can be avoided.

The reason for holding bitcoins just to make it attractive is a reason that will not be entirely true, because in the end everyone is holding bitcoins because the profits will be bigger.

LOL I was just kidding. I'm sure that survey would just be for binance marketing. CZ will always promote crypto all for the promotion.
Even if it's true I wouldn't show off anyone on my facebook, I didn't even use my real name on facebook nor have a real image there.

Majority in crypto by now are up to making more money not just hedging their wealth against rising inflation. Although I would believe many will actually see that survey to be real. Every altcoin community today has girls on it and is surely attracted to someone with big holdings.
2066  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: February 19, 2023, 05:04:01 PM
Now here are the results of my picks for the UFC Fight Night: Andrade vs. Blanchfield

Jéssica Andrade VS Erin Blanchfield ROUND 2 SUBMISSION - WIN

For this fight, all have surely seen that Erin Blanchfield could be a potential threat to even the champion Valentina Shevchenko, surely Erin Blanchfield doesn't have the power with her stand up but her fast reflex are giving Andrade a hard time but when it comes to the ground she is really in a different caliber, and Erin Blanchfield has studies Valentina Shevchenko and her fight with Jessica Andrade because Erin Blanchfield have used the same method as Valentina Shevchenko hers was just precise and have the control over Jessica Andrade, that is why Blanchfield was so confident in her interview that she will be ranked 3 when she defeats Jessica Andrade,

Zac Pauga VS Jordan Wright ROUND 3 DECISION - WIN

Zac Pauga has gone the distance, I have watched the movement of Jordan Wright in his recent fights and it was very sloppy while Zac Pauga has the rhythm you will surely know who's more technical than Wright that is why I bet for Zac Pauga, and in the interview, he can surely control people is boxing was precise and dominant even though it was not a TKO because Jordan Wright is super durable but still because of that precise striking Zac Pauga is the winner,

Josh Parisian VS Jamal Pogues ROUND 3 DECISION - WIN

Jamal Pogues broke his right arm with standing in the 2nd round but the fight still continues, surely you can see from Pogue's rhythm that he is a thinking fighter when his hand broke from standing he has to control the fight with his wrestling prowess, and have gas out Josh Parisian in doing so, the fight have to keep on going on Jamal Pogues way it was really an amazing game plan and the man many now in the heavyweight class has now incorporating technicality in their game and I think Jamal Pogues can also take on Derrick Lewis for sure,

I was just looking at the experience that Andrade has more than Erin's.  It didn't matter in the fight since Erin had landed more significant strikes and choked Andrade in the end. Blanchfield is just new, I think her team will not just feed him to Valentina too early. Valentina is a bigger monster.

I think it's an unexpected win for Erin the fact that she is the underdog yet Submission just made her confident.
I win some and lose some. I got more luck in boxing this weekend.

2067  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anonymity vs. KYC: The Pros and Cons of Cryptocurrency Exchanges on: February 19, 2023, 04:09:59 PM

KYC offers convenience. You're not going to do any trouble in trading and cashing out which is the reason prefer to send thier documents to centralized exchanges. You can hardly find a platform that doesn't ask for KYC when you have to cash out too.

For Anonymity I guess you have the assurance that a wallet is not linked to your name. That is if you know exactly how to do it.

2069  Economy / Economics / Re: Keanu Reeves says Principle behind Cryptocurrency is Amazing on: February 18, 2023, 06:47:03 PM

I'm a fan of Matrix since and yep he is a smart guy and very humble as well.  But the idea of Zucker's metaverse land and wealth creation seems to re-hype the metaverse. All these are just virtual, it's not like you can rent it out as if it's a real property.

This interview is for his launch of the Futureverse. I hope he is careful enough not to fall for it and not gonna end up like Kim Kardashian or Tom Brady.
2070  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury - February 26 in Saudi Arabia on: February 18, 2023, 06:10:21 PM

Well, anyone does have their own comments about the upcoming fight between Tommy Furry and Jake Paul, and people will always find a way to make such comments. But, let's think of it, surely it's their own choice if they will set the price higher because they are also not forcing anyone to see their fight. They are just making the hype and marketing it as that's what organizers and boxers do, the fact is, they are just getting advantage of the situation because their fight has been criticized by many and that makes it more famous. The more haters, the more money. We are also the only ones who are feeding these nonsense so-called boxers to make a nonsense fight.

After all, it's just a business, there is much less sport here. Mauricio Suleiman announced that if he wins, Jake Paul will be placed in the official WBC world heavyweight rating (up to 90.7 kg). For Jake, this can be an additional motivation if he has such a goal, and if this does happen, then canceling fights in professional boxing will not work so easily. ) Fury continues to claim that he is a professional boxer and will knock out Jake in this fight.

All these news and hype with the recent statement of WBC's president, then suddenly Tommy Fury will back out that will result to a cancellation of the fight. I wonder what would Jake Paul feel as his ambitions are shattered with Fury's selfish move Grin But seriously tho, I hope this fight will happen so that it will end much sooner because bouts like these are more like a circus rather than a real boxing entertainment.

Even if Jake Paul will receive his rankings after he defeat Tommy Fury, I doubt if there's any boxer out there in the upper rank that will give him a chance. Anyway, let's see about that in the upcoming months.

Jake Paul decides where his fate goes, he picks his opponents that he could possibly win over. I any upper rank picks a fight with him, he will just pause a bit and look at it closely and decide. He is calculated and he knows to himself he can defeat Tommy. He is always the one that will initiate and right now he had already chosen different fighters lining up for his cash cow promotion.

2071  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 18, 2023, 05:56:06 PM
Another exciting match will come this weekend. The clash between Luis Nery against Azat Hovhannisyan at 122.

They just made their official weigh-in but Azat lacks only a few after weighing 121.6. Should not be a big deal though.

The winner of this match will be the mandatory challenger of who will win against Stephen Fulton and Naoya Inoue.
Big fight indeed if that's the case.
Here are the odds for the fight which will happen later in Fox Theater Pomona.

Luis Nery is younger at age 28. 33 wins, 25 KOs, and 1 loss.
Azat Hovhannisyan is 34 years old. 21 wins, 17 KOs, and 3 losses.
Nery had more bouts experience even at his young age. Will definitely bet for him on this fight. He is also the favorite to win. I just wish he learned that mistake from the fight against Figueroa where he was defeated with a body shot. Strengthening his body will be a big plus for him from now on.

I am not really familiar with the names but I'm trusting those records anyway.
A younger fighter with more experience I guess this is a solid upside so we'll see. I'm just trying to get more wins right now betting on each possible winner with just a few dollars to throw every fight. Hopefully, accumulate some wins based on the odds and tips from here.  Grin

Wood Leigh vs Lara Mauricio. About this match, which do you choose?
2072  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think Satoshi every created some sort of back door to alter BTC? on: February 17, 2023, 11:12:08 PM
If there is a backdoor, it would have been discovered already.
What could be a backdoor is if one day a government just gets thier hands on Satoshi's private key and claim it while the world sees BTC as the reserve just as some influencers are saying that BTC will be the currency reserve. It would be crazy if they knew the PK all along since the beginning of BTC.  Cheesy  It was all planned. The existence of BTC was planned right after the 2008 crisis.

2073  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: February 17, 2023, 04:46:54 PM
That Volks vs Islam fight really stir the folks, now we are seeing videos claiming Islam cheated. Dana will really need to put them again in the Octagon as soon as possible. The difference this time is that they are more aware of what to do.

I'm not as confident as tokeweed on Andrade since Erin Blanchfield is actually a pretty good fighter. She has very good technique, crisp striking, and very technical when it hits the ground. I mean, she dismantled the fan favourite in Molly Mccann, and I mean dismantled her. Andrade on short notice though? That's a real tough fight, and she has some decent takedown defense of her own, and I'd favour Andrade on the feet. If Erin wins it'll be a massive statement, but I can see why Andrade is slightly edging the odds.

I'm wondering whether I be a bit cheeky, and go for a Andrade win by decision. Since, she'll be very wary of that takedown, and it might mean she's a little more shy in the striking, and thus won't get the finish. 7.00 odds if I recall correctly, that's some pretty damn good odds.

I kinda believe what toke said that Andrade is too good. She seems to take her fights seriously and is confident enough to accept the fight on such short notice. It's 1.75 vs 2.1. Seem close and there could be a chance for Blanchfield to win. I think put my bet too early since the odds had changed.
2074  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: On Ordinals: Where do you stand? on: February 17, 2023, 04:25:00 PM

Yeah i dived right into a new pool here from Twitter and Reddit where people are cheering over this as the next great thing in the universe. And it seams mostly fueled by hope of selling overpriced jpg's to other fools who hope to do the same thing. And nobody seams to be thinking any further than that.
Exactly. But this has been a plague that has infected the cryptocurrency scene mainly from 2017 when the ICO scams started becoming very popular and we had a mania for a while. Ever since then a certain part of the community is convinced that creating useless tokens is a real "utility" that helps adoption!

So i am not 100 on how this all works, but do i also have to be watching out for what's on Sats that i receive?
As i have understood it, had it explained to me: An Ordinal is all extra data on each Sat?
I tried to simplify it here, maybe that helps.
In short there is nothing attached to the "satoshis" you receive, they are inside the witness of the transaction the sender creates and shouldn't concern you in any way. It also has nothing to do with the amount (or satoshis) regardless of what the advertisers say (eg. "rare and exotic sats"), it is just an arbitrary data pushed to the witness stack.

By sender, you mean the guys running Bitcoin nodes. From what I've read they are the ones who can only create ordinals?

Community is divided I guess about this Ordinals. While the other half find Ordinals as another use case the other half I guess find Ordinals unnecessary as it increases network fees and is a waste of block space.

2075  Economy / Economics / Re: They still think crypto is easy to manipulate? - CEO Crunchbase on: February 17, 2023, 03:40:54 PM

Was it part of FED's plan to keep raising interest rates because they want to manipulate crypto?

It was successful in 2022 though. It's been the reason more people are waiting for Jerome's statement and what the market will do every time he says on the press con. Raising interest rates, however, doesn't just affect crypto but also the stock market. I think its different this time because of the looming debt default which investors are concerned about hedging from inflation because Quantitative easing may happen again in the coming months and the option is crypto apart from gold.
2076  Economy / Economics / Re: I have a raspberry, I buy the raspberry from myself, how much money do I make? on: February 17, 2023, 03:21:33 PM

Do you think the dev teams who own a huge percentage of the tokens in the tokenomics of thier altcoins also play the house?
There were several altcoins that have been held for a long period of time and I see prices growing but they also plunge deeper during the bear market. One would wonder why it goes that low when the devs are very trusted.

It's really a waste of time holding and waiting for the pump again when they are also waiting for holders to sell since they are the ones also who decides who'll win.

2077  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Looking for Investors for my Upcoming PvP crypto Casino on: February 16, 2023, 05:52:20 PM

PvP crypto Casino is cool. But your damn right it's sketchy, especially to the users in the forum who encounter scams all the time. You are not even sure if you could get an investor here even if you be transparent like telling which 2 new game modes and the link to your casino. But who knows.

It's one cold welcome message but you are still 18 though, I bet you have tons of teen friends who can chip in. This way you all literally know together, maybe even neighbors for a long time.

2078  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance to Airdrop $100 to Turkey Earthquake region affected users on: February 16, 2023, 05:37:02 PM
This is still a big help for someone who is in a situation where they only depend on the food and water given but the authorities of Turkey. While Binance take this as an opportunity to promote in the country, the people who are also in Turkey I think will be grateful for this.

They could withdraw if they want. To be honest, this is way better than sending it to a donation address that we don't know if it goes to the earthquake victims.
2079  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting fraud in Brazil 😦 on: February 16, 2023, 04:28:32 PM
I think of a scenario where the players themselves also bet on personal or team results, having inside information.
This is another question that deserves to be investigated.

It will be very hard to investigate on this conspiracy since everyone involved is benefiting for the inside information they can get. The only way to bust them is find someone inside that will betray address and leaked information to the authorities about what they are doing in the fixed match because it’s nonsense to conduct an investigation if there’s no lead on the case itself.

I believe this is the reason why case like matched fixing is very rare to caught because all accusation is just an speculation if there will be no evidence supporting the claim. Only a whistleblower can help authorities to established a case against this kind of organization.

The information got out though, there must be a snitch among them and some players didn't comply with the supposed act. Probably the one who receives less than $28K. According to the article bribing every player including the referee and coaches are the common way to fix a match. This is really proof that there is a fixed match in sports.

Surprisingly, all I thought these happen often in boxing where tough mafia guys are from South America
But corruption in sports cases in 11 countries based on Loughborough University research (2010-2018)
1 France
2 United Kingdom
3 Bulgaria
2080  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Digital Currencies Should Be Adopted Globally on: February 16, 2023, 03:45:53 PM

Digital currencies will be adopted everywhere, it's a gradual process and it doesn't even need a government's permission because it's borderless. 5 to 10 years maybe the people who have not heard of Bitcoin yet will also be learning about it.

Even countries with very strict rules about crypto like China was considering lifting the ban. They might be forced to lift the ban when all other countries are going to be using digital currencies after all they plan Hongkong to be a crypto hub.
