1361  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I received 65 BTC from an unknown address... on: June 14, 2023, 02:59:53 PM
I'm in a bit of a bind and don't know what to do so I decided to bring this issue up here and ask for advice. Just like the heading reads, I received that amount of Bitcoin from an unknown address and don't know what to do about it. Should I spend it or let it be?
Wait! Do you mean 65 USDT? Because I'm sure at times it could be a typographical error by the way, or maybe it could be in the dream that you received 65Btc and you are yet to wake up and discover it was a mere dream.🤣🤣

By the way, do you know how much 1 Btc is currently? Not to mention a whole 65.
1 BTC is equal to $25,000 currently (14th June 2023)
So, 65 BTC is equal to 65 X $25,000 = $1,625,000 (i.e 1.6 million dollars)

And here you are claiming someone sent you a whole $1.6million just for nothing, of which all I can say is that please, stop lying my friend because if you did go to school to study how to lie, I'm sorry to say that with this title of yours, you have gone far beyond your curriculum because not even Satoshi, Elon Musk or the president of the United States of America could give any random user such huge amount of fund unless you are a hacker and you hacked into an exchange to steal their funds. Because I think there is another side of the story you are not telling us here.

An individual who would send that much money using BTC will definitely double-check and triple-check the address before confirming. If he still made a mistake after that, he really is careless. He will not get the BTC back whoever he may complain. But the OP's story however may not be true though.

Like anyone above, they would appreciate it if there is a tx ID and his inbox will really be a party if he posts it. If I got the 65BTC, I would wait if someone claims it and strike a deal.

1362  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to Improve Your Sports Betting Skills and Win More Bets? on: June 14, 2023, 02:30:01 PM
Parlay will be the strategy for earning that xxx, xxx quickly but things could go the other way quickly also.

The odds are almost the same in every platform you have an account. The longer you are in sports betting you already are aware of just going to one platform because, after all, it's the same unless the other has a special promo. But turning $1k to $xxx, xxx, that's huge. I wouldn't really make someone hope for it to happen to them. If they are going to take that journey I think it will take time.  Hey, I get by just putting my money to the top dogs every time.
1363  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: June 13, 2023, 07:16:07 PM
I mean how could the UFC market Adesanya vs Whittaker 3?
How many times Figueredo fought Moreno? How many times Conor fought Poirier ? Adesanya met Pereira 4 times... Cheesy It is so hard to get a title fight nowadays. Ranked guys dont want to fight unranked or those who are lower than they are. It is so stupid to see same guys fight each other again and again, that UFC should make a best of 3 or something like that to get a belt. Like NHL and NBA have in later part of tournament. (best of 3 or 5, I dont remember).

It is actually really boring to see the same fighters fight against each other again and again. Of course, sometimes it is actually very fun. And some fights do have the potential to live up to the expectation. Like if we could see a Connor McGregor versus Khabib Nurmagomedov, or maybe Tony Ferguson it was going to be great. Even after the Khabib versus Tony, the fight got canceled again, and again, I believe people still would have wanted to see that fight.

Right now I believe that UFC is actually out of ideas. They do not know which fight is going to sell them the most amount of tickets. That’s why they are trying to sell the fight that has already sold them some amount of tickets. At least that’s what I believe. I also think that the UFC right now needs someone like Conor McGregor who can sell fights really well.

Duke Khan

McGregor will be the underdog even vs Aldo. We already know the result of the match if McGregor is put inside a cage whoever he's fighting. Figueredo vs Moreno is a fair fight, they've been rivals for quite a while and it becomes a subject to analyze their advantages to each other.

Adesanya needs to move up, it will keep fans guessing who would win in his next fight. He tried it once with Jan Blackovich, this time against Pereira.
1364  Economy / Economics / Re: US Congressman Warren Davidson Filed Legislation to Fire Gary Gensler on: June 13, 2023, 06:46:44 PM

Gensler is backed by people bigger than Davidson though. Its going to be a lobbying war.
He wouldn't try to do all these stuff just to suppress the crypto market but the institutions are also behind him. When he declared ETH to be a security and then changed again, you can tell then something was up.

Maybe the success of this legislation lies to how much is to be negotiated to change the structure. The Mark Cubans of crypto should share  Grin The new structure would be good, it would allow consensus to win and arrive a fair decision.

While it is true that what Genseler is doing is supported by influential individuals and institutions, it is important to note that ultimate goal is to establish regulation and  distinguish between security and non-security tokens in crytpo space, which I think is in the best interest of all stake holders. The ongoing discussions and regulatory  efforts aim to provide clarity and establish well regulated environment, which is essential for sustained growth of crypto industry.

Regarding Ethereum, SEC has never officially declared it as security.

One significant win for crypto I think will be the XRP win against the lawsuit because if Ripple succeeded, all the rest that SEC is targeting may just also win. The lack of his clarity and all Gensler's lies will also be biting him. IOHK and Binance are the richest in crypto.

Meanwhile, they will also be questioning Davidson's motive in this legislation. Bitcoin is very political these days, is he running this coming election?

1365  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Easy or hard to quit? on: June 13, 2023, 04:38:34 PM
We're all different.

Winning big amount adds more confidence to a gambler and when you say "confident" that makes you forget your standing and how much you've got. And it won't matter to you to lose all of those winnings because you've just won it.

And when a gambler wins a big amount, there's no rule unless we make rules to ourselves that we shouldn't comeback to gambling. But another question will come out, are we gonna obey our own rules?
Even when we win big, there will be thoughts of continuing and that big wins will definitely come again, but all of that doesn't know because for those who have already won, it's still difficult to stop and I think their thoughts are always different from their intentions from the start.

Addiction is still difficult to control, even with its own rules, it is usually easier to break because there are no serious prohibitions, so for some it is still very difficult to get out of the zone they often play in gambling.

Old habits die hard, right?
I once heard in a conversation that a drug addict changes for a while but only needs one friend to invite for all his effort to crumble. Some casino addicts just change location actually, they may not show their face to the local casino but will travel 30 miles away just to gamble on another casino. However, there are few that really change for good. Most of them found a woman that changed them.
1366  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin gift to wife on wedding. on: June 13, 2023, 03:51:26 PM
You may want to impress your wife but if she doesn't know how to trade BTC to fiat, she may not appreciate the gift. Unless you already have taught her about it so yep she will like it.

In my experience, girls prefer the effort even if it's a small thing so know what they like. My best advice, buy something that will make her look good, something shiny like earrings and a necklace.  It's what they talk about when they gather with their friends and not BTC.
1367  Economy / Speculation / Re: will bitcoin continue to rise on: June 13, 2023, 03:34:12 PM
Bitcoin will continue its bullish path but it also needs to be above $30k in price,
otherwise there is nothing more I can talk about other than waiting for the Bitcoin price to break $30k and reach $50k!

$30k was the peak last month, it has to come down to $25k or maybe below it before it will go up again. Since they want to get serious about lawsuits, the price could plummet to $21k or to its last year's bottom which was $16K. Sad as it may be, the possibility is high if this crackdown continues. This is the saddest bear market in all cycles that happened.

You'd be wishing it's the last quarter of the year already because that might be the time when BTC will try to climb.
1368  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We shall separate commercial exchanges from investment exchanges on: June 13, 2023, 03:10:50 PM

They are yet not done talking whether which crypto are Security and not. It wouldn't be over until they distinguish which is which. The exchanges are fighting back and I think more of the people in the community like Tim Draper are going to come out to support Gensler be remove from office. So there could be a fair fight if this will happen.

Right now we only distinguish CEX and DEX but to SEC they are all the same when it comes to protecting investors as Gary always says.
1369  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Josh Taylor vs Teofimo Lopez on: June 13, 2023, 04:41:59 AM
It looks like the rumors are all true that he is going to retire but I doubt it's permanent based on this article
Quote
Lopez has been battling complicated situations outside the ring, including turmoil with his family and a contentious divorce and custody battle. That may have been the main catalyst for his statements to reporters after his win.

https://www.cbssports.com/boxing/news/teofimo-lopez-jr-claims-to-be-retired-in-aftermath-of-massive-win-over-josh-taylor/

This could be the factor that leads to his early retirement but we never knew he is too good to retire many will encourage him to go back to the ring because there are still a lot of challenges  and goal to complete and he still has a bright future.

Image from : Babalabrute-boxing Facebook page

This does not make sense, I reckon. The skeptical me thinks that he is trying to create a storyline for the fans to demand his return, which might give him more power to negotiate for more money.

Was there not a quick interview after the fight where he said that he was not being paid enough money? This certainly is a business decision. He will be in the ring if he gets paid the right amount hehe.

More than likely.
He is too young to retire this early and it's the wrong time to do it now that he finally proved his critics to be wrong about him. He embarrassed Taylor in his own way. It's spectacular. He hasn't got the biggest win, at least take that one more step to fight to the top like Prograis. There's Devin Haneys and Shakur whom he might be able to fight and make money. Never mind those bullies.

If it's all because of family problems like custody of his kid, the more he needs to fight. It's not about records anymore when it comes to family, it's about what you can bring to provide for your family.

1370  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: who Want To Bet On 2024 USA elections? on: June 13, 2023, 04:23:56 AM
You mean, he's more popular among the other Republican candidates, or what? Because the bets are going on Biden:

and I think we have these odds for a reason. It's not like gamblers decided to support Biden this way, oh no. They bet their money on the most popular candidate because they want to win their bets.

I still don't agree with these odds. Biden's odds should be similar to those for Trump. At this point, Trump is facing hardly any opposition from the other GOP candidates and he is almost certain to win the Republican nomination for 2024. The only X factor is the ongoing criminal proceedings against him, which may make it impossible for him to file papers for the 2024 race. But then Biden also has a similar handicap. His health is not getting any better. Regarding Ron DeSantis, his candidacy has died even before it was launched.

I think because there is a risk of Trump not able to run, a slight 50/50 chance if the lawsuits put him on hold then it's just going to be Biden vs DeSantis. Desantis candidacy though is a bit shakey. Thus the reason Biden still favored.  A disastrous future is ahead if he is reelected. Not sure why people would see him fit but anything can happen in 2023, UFOs are here.

Desantis despite his sane looking, he might not win against the old guys.
1371  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 12, 2023, 08:42:40 PM
Teofimo Lopez had a good performance in his fight against Josh Taylor, it was very visible that Josh Taylor was being pressured a lot, he was constantly defending himself, his fists were always in a defensive position while Teofimo even allowed himself the luxury of leaving the his face all open so that he could give josh taylor the initiative to attack, i believe that josh taylor's fear of not signing his opponent may be because he soon realized that his opponent had a very large capacity for defensive reaction and counter attack that if Josh Taylor was going to attack and his punch didn't hit the opponent

so at that moment Josh Taylor could suffer a very strong counterattack punch and in the minutes that followed my observation became real when I saw Josh Taylor trying to attack Teofimo and Teofimo immediately hit Josh Taylor in the face with a hard punch who was unbalanced for a few seconds and the public cheered thinking that Josh Taylor was going to fall, but he immediately recovered, I think it was a fight in which Josh Taylor had no chances from the beginning of the fight until the end. congratulations to teofimo for the victory
This is really the type of fights that I like to differ from boxing, because they both fought and gave everything they had, obviously Teófimo had a much more intense training than Taylor, and many were in favor of Talylor so these bets were very split. and it could be said that the crowd failed, personally when a boxer shows that his strength is training and worthy of winning the way he did, and he did not have to resort to a purely technical fight as some do, which for many already enters to a totally boring shot, instead here there were counterattacks, exchange of blows, a whole real fight, good for Teofimo.

Teofimo Lopez shuts down his critics, resets his career with win over Taylor

Quote
On Saturday, like the proverbial phoenix rising from the flames, Teofimo Lopez damned his critics by wrestling The Ring and WBO junior welterweight title away from Josh Taylor’s grasp.

Lopez, still only 25, was a 6/5 (+120) underdog entering the fight but after three rounds he began to go through the gears, finding his groove and for large swathes of the middle portion of the fight he dominated Taylor in startling fashion, snapping the defending champion’s head back with pinpoint accuracy. This was particularly true in round nine, when he worked Taylor over and had him hurt.

Source: https://www.ringtv.com/654427-teofimo-lopez-shuts-down-his-critics-resets-his-career-with-win-over-taylor/

not bad for Teofimo!

Not the kind of Teo that we use to see, he was having fun. Is Taylor just too slow or Teo had really improved well?  Either way, its very stunning and boxing fans could by now will see Teo not just a kid who had some luck over Loma. Still Taylor fans couldn't believe it. It could just be because Taylor was too flushed to to get the weight at 140.

If Teo was much faster and relied to volume while Taylor seem to have gassed out, he could have KO Taylor to be more impressive.

1373  Economy / Speculation / Re: Take advantage of the price fall. on: June 12, 2023, 03:10:49 AM

Crypto is not easy and thats exactly what they'd lean by now of they invest BTC while it goes $30k just weeks ago. Newbies have to also endure what the old investors did back in 2018. They can look at this as a test of patience. And the more you'd be tested if you got altcoins.

But it will be rewarding when all these bears are gone. Its not easy to keep waiting but fortune favors the bold.
1374  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Casinos Include The Sport Spogomi In Their Platform on: June 12, 2023, 03:00:15 AM
Some sportsbooks can bend the rules and include markets that don't appear in most sportsbooks, so it's possible, but it would be better if this sport grew big enough to be popular in the future so it won't be limited to a couple of sportsbooks.

The question is how do you prevent cheating?
They probably have several referees involved to stop teams from cheating.

Idk, thats going for disasterous results. We're already fucked with one referee and 3 judges.

Although they consider this as sport, it will not be as sport like they can be done on olympics for this sport is more like after party events, when all have left and one thing is to be done and its to clean up the trash.

I hope they make it a sport where athletes display skills otherwise, there is no challenge to it that even a winnie can join.
1375  Other / Off-topic / Re: David Charles Grusch: Whistleblower and Recent UFO Sightings on: June 12, 2023, 02:34:22 AM

Wouldn't this change the reference of Christians being the special that God created human alone in his own image? Who created these aliens then?

The question is why are they saying it now like they want us to believe it when all those UFO crashes happened decades ago. Whats the main goal here?

Don't tell us to unite all people in the world to fight outsiders because literally we're leading wars all the time. There were theories that US is going to militarize the space because of this pronouncement.
1376  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Gambling is different from trading on: June 12, 2023, 02:19:26 AM
Gambling is totally different from the trading, the gambling needs luck and trading needs analysis of previous chart history. When you had learned of chart of previous trades, then easy to find the investment price. Then it also help you to know how much rise in the price of certain coins, which is best price to withdraw your funds with the profits. In gambling, you should do background verification of your using gambling sites.
Both triggered both profits and losses. Gambling and trading shares different views, gambling is easy to start betting on games because it doesn't require any thorough process unlike trading that one needs to be actively ready to ready trading related books, inother to mastered the whole idea of trading. There's nothing like the word luck exits in trading, it's absolutely what you know that one need to make crucial analysis on the market. I'm so much interested trading because it's more reliable than mere gambling that mostly results to addiction.

Luck in trading could be coincidence to the market that normally goes up and down. But once a person learns trading somehow he's more careful on it. Sometimes when they get really serious about it, they read more about strategies and indicators.

Trading is close to gambling but the government is not really considering Forex market as gambling unlike the crypto regulators in Europe that treats exchanges as casino platforms. I think this is OP is going with his question.
1377  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi nakamoto was there that is why BTC come to stay. on: June 12, 2023, 01:34:58 AM
I was thinking the sacrifices Satoshi nakamoto made in the past to break many protocol to ensure BTC come to stay and spread around the whole world so that governments, men, women and youths will enjoy the impact in their various environment. Now we have seen many countries that accepted BTC because they saw great future in it that it will reduce so many negative things from their countries and they are enjoying the benefits that attached to it. Now that BTC has go round globally, I believe many governments that rejected it some years ago will now convince with what El Salvador government and other governments are doing with BTC in their countries today.
Your option is highly welcome.
As far as I know satoshi created bitcoin, no rule breaking. He only added, for countries to adopt bitcoin as a valid payment that is a long way off. Too many holes in crypto trading

Its been a decade already and although BTC is known globally, only those people who are very much exposed to finance industry who got BTC. The regular people still are not open to crypto.

I personally talked to random people while on the waiting room, talking about expensive cars and just blurt out that only crypto millionares can afford it. One man replied, are those scam?  Obviously the word has not spread down their mind.

Nunes is too intimidating for Aldana, she just watch Nunes do her thing. At 35 and with two belts still with her, I think its also a good time for Nunes to retire.
The only solid strike Irene Aldana was able to connect was in the first round, there was a moment when i thought Amanda Nunes would gas out but Irene Aldana did not pick up the pace and it is sad to see that Amanda Nunes announced her retirement as i wanted to see the rubber match between Julianna Peña as she is the only person that could defeat Amanda Nunes.

Juliana reacts to Nunes retirement saying Nunes is just too scared that she retired because Pena's retaliation.  Like any other retirement of these fighters, they come back after just discussion of money.  If Dana wants Pena and Nunes fight for their 3rd, he can do it for the fans.

If Nunes goes to PFL, Dana will really be pissed. Could it happen or not, depends on PFL.
1379  Economy / Economics / Re: Child support - A state affair (Tokenization of child support) on: June 11, 2023, 07:03:02 PM

if this suggestion ever because as standard for parents who can't support their kids, this suggestion will make more irresponsible fvckers and then just leave the kids to the government.

And the government also will like it after all the more kids on their hands the more funds they get from the government.
1380  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crypto experienced bloodshed on: June 11, 2023, 06:14:49 PM

I think binanceUS can't do anything about SEC's case. If they want to freeze the assets then its just it. SEC is out to get the binance.US and just want to run it themselves. Maybe that's when Gensler can becomes an advisor. Gensler hates CZ for bringing FTX to its death while Gensler obviously have close ties to those kids managing the exchange.

But crypto market will not pause its coming bull run all because of this. The Halving will come and coins will be lesser next year.
