2061  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcoin Casinos Vs Ethereum Casinos on: June 29, 2022, 09:51:57 AM

The risk of dapp based casinos are only high because the entire wallet can get hacked. It's important to observe the casinos first for a long time before we trust them.

Gambling sites all have the risk, but as long as they know how to improve their control, that will minimize the risk, not only on the gambling site, but on the gamblers as well, we should not deposit everything we have in gambling, hacking or lose of funds should already be anticipated, and if that will happen, we should be ready to accept with that while we can still continue gambling.
2062  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 (September 17) on: June 28, 2022, 08:16:38 PM
Well, at least in baseball, GGG has already won a symbolic victory over Canelo with a score of 2:0 at Yankee Stadium, where they went after the press conference, it remains to wait for the fight in the ring, it seems to me that Canelo has more chances there than on the baseball field.
https://twitter.com/MLBNetwork/status/1541578624343711745

And you got that right, of course, Canelo has more chances to win against GGG in the ring. He has the advantage against the ready-to-retire GGG and he has to win even on their upcoming trilogy if there's no hype if he wins it because he can't afford to lose for the 2nd time this year but he still should be careful against GGG though because even the man is much older than him, GGG can always upset any opponent he'd face even if that name is Saul Canelo Alvarez.
2063  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: June 28, 2022, 07:08:16 PM
A lot of rumors spreading in the boxing world that these two will fight this October. Hopefully it is true. Crawford should not tolerate Spence avoiding and prolonging this fight because he is already 35. His age is actually ripe and ready to be taken out anytime. Only casuals in boxing won't see how Spence team is trying to play the waiting game ever since. Crawford in October is like inactive for nearly a year and that's another disadvantage. Maybe he should threaten PBC that if the fight with Spence still won't happen this year then he signs with DAZN and activate his option as WBO mandatory on undisputed champion Jermell Charlo. That will force a possible purse bid that is so winnable by the richer DAZN.

And Canelo just said that Bud is the better fighter. But time is really not on Bud's side. Time flies so fast, Crawford is now joining these old but great fighters Usyk, Beterbiev and GGG.

I hope Spence really does have some plans on fighting against Crawford this year because he can't just give us a ride for nothing and Crawford should have another option to force Spence because he's really seems having Crawford in a waiting game to give himself more advantage, he surely knows to himself that Crawford is really a threat to his record.
2064  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can You See Or Tell If A Fight Or Event Is Fix ? on: June 28, 2022, 05:57:10 PM
Anyway, speaking about rigged games/fight. There's this speculation about Jake Paul vs Tyroon Woodley that the latter was forced to get KO'd and videos are surfacing in the internet about what was Jake Paul is trying to say in the ring moments before Woodley got KO'd. What do you think about it guys?

That was too smooth for a rigged. Before that Knock Out punch, everything is doing fine on both sides and you can't even think that it's a rigged.

Even though I watched some related videos to see how it's done, we don't know what happened on that. It's a perfect rigged if that's really rigged and all I can say is if they can pull out that smooth act, what's more to their future fights?

I want to disregard the rigged since Woodley isn't really an impressive fighter after all before that fight. Comes from a 4-consecutive loss and is almost at the end of his career. They just do the fight for entertainment purposes to grab some money.

I would say that there are some points to consider and that verbal actions by Jake weren't meant to get into Woodley's head but that knock-out punch happened suddenly and I can slightly say that Woodley could've avoided that as he came from MMA but he turned to be an inexperienced fighter against Jake. I don't know but for me, even if how many wins Jake could attain, I can't still be impressed unless it's against a known heavy names in the industry.
2065  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The digital ID for Gambling on: June 28, 2022, 05:27:51 PM
The problem is that by using digital ID there are chances of identity theft. Since the IDs will be stored online it might become vulnerable to hackers.
They must have high security on their site if not the outcomes might be disastrous.
Further more, using digital ID the government will be easily tracing the users for how much they gamble.
So that is kind of a privacy issue and the governments can very well take advantage of it.
The only useful thing that I find using digital ID is that it will restrict children under 18 from gambling.
May be if the government put a certain restriction on people from over gambling then may be that can help.
I think that governments are taking advantage of entering people's privacy using the most vulnerable possible excuses of "protection", I respect everything that has to do with security, but I know that trusting governments or banks is suicide, they they want to have total control over people, make sure that no one has their privacy, see and track all the operations that have to do with money, how many people move money and why they move those amounts, I think that will be a trap to apply all the acid in the future, of course as I said before, these are my thoughts.

Yes ofcourse, the governments are already doing that by implementing mandatory KYC for bank accounts.
So in a way, they are already tracking us and what we do with our money.
Cryptocurrency is the only way to get out of this trap yet people are not willing to adopt cryptocurrencies.
People are getting used to the comfort of fiat currencies giving away their control over their money instead of owning their money by having an initial struggle to control it.

Yes, that's why I think that one way to escape all control is with privacy coins, I really have a very clear criteria about crypto, firstly BTC, then my taste is with ETH and Monero, this is simple, ETH it is considered the second best coin and Monero is for the privacy and anonymity it can offer.

If casinos started to offer games with this currency, allowing deposits and withdrawals through it and with records that are somewhat less rigorous in terms of KYC, I think it could become a leading platform, because for now there is a lot of talk about adoption, but when it happens, which is already a fact, the problem of being anonymous and seeking more privacy will begin.

That's why cryptocurrencies are created in the 1st place, it gives us another option than just relying upon the fiats alone that the government is controlling. The government surely doesn't want crypto even if it had many benefits and all which is already a fact because of the anonymity it could bring and they couldn't trace people in this industry that's why KYC has been present on the platforms.
2066  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Pros and Cons of Bitcoin Gambling on: June 28, 2022, 04:53:41 PM
The biggest advantage of gambling with Bitcoin is that it is private and tax free. The government cannot benefit from your money. However, the biggest disadvantage is; its value is constantly changing. You must calculate the amount you use according to at least 3% variability. Otherwise, you may lose a little while trying to make a profit.
While I agree that the volatility can be a pain when you gamble as you could have earned a lot of bitcoin during a session only to find out that you lost in terms of fiat when the market crashed, this is something in which we had years to learn how to handle.

Personally when that happens I think about it in the same way I think about my bitcoin investment, maybe its fiat value is down but in the future it will go up, besides we are gambling with satoshis and not with fiat so as long as I got more bitcoin in my wallet I think of it as a win.

I don't mind if the bitcoin dumps as long as i am holding my winnings in bitcoin.
The main problem in gambling is that you have a lot of risk of losing your money. I have seen people invest their savings and hard earned money in bitcoins and later they lost all the money in gambling.
So its not mainly about your portfolio value in terms of dollars but also the risk involved in gambling is a big con for bitcoin gambling.

I feel, when bitcoin is used for gambling then yes, trading and gambling dont differ much when it comes to earnings. As bitcoin / crypto market is volatile, as long as you hold the coin earned from gambling and trading, the benefits will be more. Yes, there will be pain when Bitcoin earned in bull market winning in gambling and later the value goes down at bearish market.
Yup, you're right about that. That would surely hurt us if our winnings will depreciate sometime later when the market suddenly turns bearish. We can't really do something about it as we already know that the market is volatile so its movement is really unpredictable at all, yes, we can speculate before making a move but that's not a guarantee. But, gambler will still find way even the market situation's not good.
2067  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Mark Magsayo vs Rey Vargas WBC Featherweight Title (July 9) on: June 28, 2022, 04:30:32 PM
I am hoping to see that as he was really criticized for not beating Russell easily despite the champion literally fighting with one hand only. He needs to silence the critics by beating Vargas which is healthy and a good challenger for him. I'm excited for this fight guys as you are, so let's hope that our champion will be able to defend his title in this fight.

The dude is obviously improving and hopes he won't be pressured in this upcoming fight so far he used his experience fighting in the US very well and he is gaining some more popular than before. nevertheless, he is expected to show some more moves and skills in this fight and more fans are calling for a knockout score to further stretch his confidence to fight more strong boxers in their weight division. Heavy punchers are popular in that division and to be one of them is a huge success and a chance to become one of the legends in boxing history.

Yes, he is improved. He won't climb the rankings if he's not improving. He won't get a chance for a title fight if he's not improving. And now that he finally gets the Championship title, it's clear that he really improved in his entire career in boxing.

He will be able to successfully defend this title. That's what I'm seeing here. We are witnessing another great Filipino boxer in the making that will dominate the Featherweight division and hope he can build a good stand here and move up weight soon.

And he should get used to it because it's quite normal since then that you're getting criticized no matter how good or bad your performance, people will still find a way to criticize. He should just focus himself on the prize and defeat Vargas with a good result as this is his 1st title defense. Vargas won't be a hindrance on his success.
2068  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: June 26, 2022, 06:30:21 PM
Well this is something very interesting, and I hope it happens like this, but I think that the main reason why they want the fight to happen is because of the amount of money that is involved there, I don't see that they do it for the pure interest of boxing,

I have to disagree with this. Terence Crawford is looking forward to fighting Spence for too long and now it happened. On the other hand, Errol Spence holds lots of titles, and the only title he needs to snatch to unify the welterweight division is the one on Crawford.

Obviously and of course, money plays a big factor here but a unification match is necessary between boxers with hold titles.

I can't believe you conclude already that these boxers don't have a pure interest in boxing that's why they will face each other.

Yes indeed, it's not the money they're after that they choose to settle this fight because Crawford has been calling for this match for quite a long time now but Spence was avoiding back that time. This time this fight will materialize for sure as Spence is also showing some interest to Crawford and in fact, both camps are under negotiations for this upcoming fight.

This undisputed fight is anticipated by a lot of fans and the boxing community, money is just a by-product of the clash of these two undefeated boxers in welterweight division.

What do you think about it guys?

Not sure until some official news was raised about it. But for me, as long as Paul brothers are involved, I believed there will be always a shit that will happen behind the script. The reputation of these Paul brothers is not so good that the community thinks they are just ruining the sports of boxing.

They are playing with the bookies. They will find a way to lure people to bet on their match as they know many wants to see them being defeated. That's how these brothers do business and not just they will sacrifice their bodies for nothing.

I'm against these Paul brothers so I will now conclude your shared rumor is true lol.

I also bumped a video across YouTube about that said fight, well, there was some exchange of words from both boxers before Woodley was knocked out. I mean, that punch was too real to say that's rigged but the video says it all and Jake Paul's mouth can be read.

About the Paul brothers, yeah they're literally ruining the boxing industry and using it as a venue where they can milk more money as they also have a huge fan base on the internet. Jake's record was neither impressive as his foes are just making some debuts and the same goes for his brother, Logan for trying to make nonsense exhibition matches.
2070  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The digital ID for Gambling on: June 26, 2022, 05:50:03 PM
The underage people is the responsibilty of the parent or the adult around them,so why we must risk our privacy for them.Maybe it's good on the surface, but if there are loses that happen because of leaked personal info, who's gonna take responsibility?

Correct!
Minors are all under the responsibility of the parents.

Now, that's actually crazy. By using your ID just to play on that specific gambling website is not only your gambling with money but you're also gambling with your identity on the line.
I guess KYC was never enough for them right? Lol

Maybe their protocol has changed that much and the governments are forcing them to get them identified so these sites don't have much of a choice. But I agree, that these underaged kids do still fall under their parent's responsibilities and they are liable for that. The thing is that sometimes these underaged kids are much more knowledgeable about the internet than their parents.
2071  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Pros and Cons of Bitcoin Gambling on: June 26, 2022, 05:30:56 PM
Yes, the value of cryptocurrency won't affect you if you're an old-time gambler because you already know how to deal with it. Old gamblers focus on playing and not on the volatility of cryptocurrencies unlike traders and investors because we focus on winning here regardless of the current market situation.
True, this will not affect if it is just a gambler but if you look at what is happening here most of those who gamble apart from being gamblers they are also traders or crypto investors which when something like this is happening now indirectly this will become Thought for them not all are like that but for the most part it will probably do.

Generally speaking, gamblers will always gamble no matter what the market situation is.
They may reduce their spending habits but they will continue to play.
For those who are also traders, they will know what alts to use in order to lessen their losses.
But for the most part of it, gamblers won't stop just because the value of bitcoin declines in the market.

Certainly, no doubt about that. Gamblers will still have time and ways to gamble despite what's happening in the market. It's the trader who's likely affected if there are some troubling situations in the market but gamblers? I don't think so, they will always adjust and I think we somehow know about that too as part of us here as also bettors classified as gamblers.
2072  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Mark Magsayo vs Rey Vargas WBC Featherweight Title (July 9) on: June 25, 2022, 07:10:10 PM
For sure there could be pressure on his shoulder to keep the Flag flying for us and this is a very difficult fight for him. Nevertheless, he has a good chance to win against Vargas.

The pressure is still there for sure because, in this fight, he is staking his belt and his undefeated record, so if he loses this fight, there's a chance that he won't be able to get big fights again. I hope he will train harder to beat Vargas, an impressive win will make his future brighter.

Let's just relax and let Magsayo handle Vargas, we know it's not an easy fight for him as Vargas also has a decent record, but just believe on Magsayo, he is a champion and undefeated for a reason. Also, if he lose in this fight, I believe there's still a chance for him to get a big fight as long as he continues to fight and prove himself once again that he is deserving for the belt.
He can or his camp can call for a rematch since he's the defending champ, but I'm not looking on that scenario. I would love to see Magsayo to keep proving himself and continue to have that clean record. Though it's not ours to conclude if how these fights will end and how Vargas will try his best chasing Magsayo's belt, but again, at the end of the day, we all want to see them collide and showcase both skills and strength.

Bettors and boxing fans will surely enjoy these upcoming fights if both of them are aggressive in knocking down one another.

We can reserve that rematch speculation if ever Magsayo will be defeated next month against Rey Vargas, for now, let's just be optimistic to our fellow compatriot and believe in him that he can do a successful defense in his title. For sure Vargas is a tough guy and so do his records say but I would like to see him with Magsayo sharing a ring first.
2073  Economy / Gambling / Re: risk of kyc on crypto casinos ? on: June 25, 2022, 06:30:39 PM
ps: if you are a winning player (i know its rare or impossible) or won a big jackpot on any crypto casino, i would like some tips if you can,i can pay for your time,my telegram is @ ellieljonzz
So you know and understand what is the situation then , so accept the fact that there are no casino that we can mention in which will never ask for KYC in all time, because for sure in one thing or another they will ask you  still.
So get ready with KYC, especially if you win a lot of money because the casino will ask you. It is less comfortable for us if the casino asks KYC because we want to withdraw the money but cannot do anything and are forced to obey the casino's request. If the casino is a trusted casino and has a reputation, we can believe it but it will depend on our comfort in sending our documents.
Yup, we can't do much about it as casinos are also forced by the authorities to request KYC especially if ever we won big amounts. Also, they are also making sure that the winner is not some random under age kid who accessed their site and if we are not hiding something then KYC is not something that we can be afraid of, that's if the casino is reputable and already trusted.
2074  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambling Brand Name Vs Site Functionality? Or Both? on: June 25, 2022, 05:37:22 PM
I think brand name is must needed with Functionality . a good brand name can make a company beautiful . Before start a business need to make a beautiful name for company if people can like that name . And then companys can focus on there project and a great marketing
I believe everything is important - be it brand name of site functionality everything is important.
I agree good brand name is important so is the functionality and so it the review and repute of the company. This makes the business a success.
I hate to argue about it but functionality should come 1st and that is the most important thing that a casino should have. That's their key to bring in more gamblers/customers to play and bet in their casinos, honestly, who would want a casino site that keeps on bugging and the customer service can't be reachable at times we need it the most and etc. The brand name comes 2nd because a gambler can always remember a certain site that has more features.
2075  Economy / Gambling / Re: KYC casino or no-KYC casino, but with no bonuses/no cashback? on: June 25, 2022, 05:13:17 PM
Actually, if any of the gambling casino that has a KYC requirements are much more safer compared to a casino that has no Kyc where it is prone to loss your winning price in the gambling casino. I don't know if you get what I'm talking about, therefore I would rather for a casino with KYC, and I know most of the crypto gamblers will be much in favor with this idea here in this field of business.
Just to clarify, You would rather choose to provide your identification or do the KYC process depending on the security of the online casino and also that has much lesser chance of losing on the platform, am I correct?

There are already various gambling website that offers security and trust to it's clients and gamblers that only requires to do the KYC process depending on your account status or if there is a suspicious activity on the account. Also, if there's a chance that you'll lose your winning price, then probably the gambling site is already a scam.
I agree, that not all casinos that have no KYC requirements don't mean that they aren't safe to gamble with and our winnings can be in vain in case we would want to withdraw that. Both KYC and non-KYC have their own pros and cons but we don't have to discuss it for now as it's not what the OP asked in this discussion. I on the other hand, also wanted to play at such casinos that don't require some KYC as we'd like some more privacy.

Quote
The government only supports the national team who faces other teams in other countries like Olympics or SEA games. But the sad part about there is the government won't give some budget to these teams to at least make them comfortable as they are representing the Philippines. The team is responsible for their own budgeting and likely wait for some sponsors.
That's the struggle of athletes in the Philippines. They work hard but the government doesn't support them. They have to work on their own to sustain their needs and some of them are using their own money but the ironic part is when they bring home the medals or crowns, the government honors them and makes it sounds like they have supported their journey. They reward them only when they won.

Exactly! That's why we don't even know who will represent our country in that specific sports/field because the government itself doesn't support them either financially, emotionally, or informationally. We will suddenly know their names and their stories if they got a gold medal but if they don't, sadly, they will remain a stranger to the government and to us.

If you were given a choice, would you play regularly in a cryptocurrency casino WITH KYC, and with added benefits like first deposit/welcome bonuses and cashbacks?

Or would you like to play regularly in a casino, WITHOUT KYC, BUT also without the welcome bonuses, cashbacks and other extra rewards?

I will choose to play in a casino without KYC, the reason why we are in crypto is because we want to enjoy that kind of privacy or freedom, but look what is happening now, regulators are slowly regulation crypto casinos to be like a fiat casinos.
2080  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcoin Casinos Vs Ethereum Casinos on: June 24, 2022, 11:23:07 AM
Bitcoin casino is still more popular for me, personally, I am not gambling in any Ethereum Casinos because of the high fees, I don't know now, maybe it reduce a bit because of the market situation but it is still expensive. Why not just make a gambling site that would compete with the existing one and has a lot of payment system? including ETH of course, that way people will have plenty of options.
Bitcoin casino and Ethereum casino is not different. All is same casino....just a different payment method. Now normally  almost all casinos site keep there payment method Bitcoin, Ethereum, USDT, BNB etc you can deposit any currency and play casino. And you can withdraw any coin which coin you like. But must of people like to play casino with bitcoin. Even i am also like to play casino
When we say ETHEREUM CASINO, it should be played on the network of the ETHEREUM, but it's not that popular actually compared to the typical casino, so what we are talking here should be about the payment method which you are correct, most casinos has different payment method to give gamblers option to deposit and withdraw.
