2061  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / After Aug. 1st - Will Bitcoin Die? Will Bitcoin Crash? Will BCC Surpass BTC??? on: July 31, 2017, 06:40:30 AM
“Bitcoin may die!”, “Bitcoin will crash!”, “Bitcoin may fork!”, “BIP148 vs BIP91”, “August 1 is D-day!“ are some of the confusing articles and comments you might have seen or heard in recent weeks. In this article, I’ll try to unpack what is probably (and probably not) happening to your Bitcoin in the coming weeks and what’s behind the latest headlines.

For many years, the Bitcoin community has been locked in what is known as the great scaling debate. What might seem like a simple problem (Bitcoin is becoming slower and more expensive to use), with a simple solution (increase the block size or implement another way to transfer Bitcoin altogether) quickly becomes complicated, technical and even political.

What is your thoughts on this issue???
2062  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC and BCC vs. ETH and ETC on: July 31, 2017, 06:35:17 AM
When the ethereum fork happened, Coinbase credited their customers with an amount of ETC equal to their ETH held at the time. ETC was under $1 then, but got to over $20 and now sits at around $14. That makes it nontrivial money given to you for nothing. If you had, say, 100 ETH, you'd have around $1400 worth of ETC right about now.

When the bitcoin fork happens, is something like this likely to happen as well? Could BCC similarly appreciate in price?

I don't have a crystal ball, but shouldn't everybody and his uncle be making sure they get whatever BCC is due them?

Moreover, I just don't quite get Coinbase vs. Kraken on this. Coinbase says that they will give you no BCC, while Kraken will give you your BCC. What's wrong with this picture? If BCC appreciates like ETC, won't people be shooting themselves over having missed the chance to get their free BCC that was due them?

Well, my thoughts here are you should get ready to invest in BCC because I don't think any of these BTC platforms like Coinbase or Kraken are going to give BCC for free (BCC is too valuable to giveaway for free) and there is one thing for certain here, if Ethereum Classic was skyrocketed because of Ethereum split then BCC will do so in no time. People saw it before the split between ETH and ETC, now they're just waiting for another chain-split bubble like BTC and BCC to invest and make huge amount of money in a short period of time.
2063  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if, we advertise bitcoin on T.V.? on: July 30, 2017, 04:44:02 PM
I think bitcoin advertisement on TV is not new anymore. BitFlyer in Japan made one a few months ago in case you are interested:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Ux95b2QsuQ

I don't think bitcoin advertisement on TV is a good idea because people don't really like TV advertisement as they normally hate to see advertisement on TV while they're watching movies or something that attracts their attention. In fact, people don't really like a secret money making method in the public, they rather get referred my friend or someone that they really trust because the money making ways online are very tricky, nowadays! 2064  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to create a bitcoin wallet ? on: July 30, 2017, 04:33:30 PM
My suggested best 3 bitcoin wallets both free:

1: Xapo Wallet - The most secure and user friendly wallet

2: Blockchain.info - Every easy to use and has some nice interface too.

3: Electrum Wallet - Very secure wallet but has some generic designs.

Hope you may find the best one among them. Smiley
2065  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you save bitcoin for fun or for future purpose? on: July 30, 2017, 04:22:07 PM
I have think of it and i have save up bitcoin just a the small amount because i have plans for it to have fun like travelling didn't even save it for future purpose. so i wanted to know what are you going to do with your bitcoin if you save bitcoin. Why do you save bitcoin for? and why? what is the purpose why you save up bitcoin to your wallet and not to spend it.

Probably both because I used to save my bitcoins for fun and the future as I see the value of bitcoin keeps appreciating and the future keep on shining brighter. I would say yes to that, let me try to save more bitcoins for the future. Few months ago, I was searching bitcoin videos on YouTube then I came across "Wence Casares" The founder of Xapo - He was saying, the value of bitcoin would get around $500k - $1m in five to ten years. Well, for me I'm going to say I'm looking forward to that because I'm gonna be rich, dude! Grin
2066  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where will you keep your bitcoins on D Day? on: July 29, 2017, 11:37:41 PM
So, August 1st is approaching and everyone is getting a bit nervous. I wonder in which wallets will you keep your bitcoins, which ones you trust the most and know that your coins will be secure and you'll have access to them?

My trusted bitcoin wallets are Xapo & Blockchain.info - I'm sure they are ready for anything that may arise on the "D-Day" and they'll select the best chain after the split for their users to stay safe without losing their bitcoin. First off, I'll divide my bitcoin in 3 ways, 1. Xapo 2. Blockchain 3. Bitcoin Exchange and exhange my BTC to USD to have peace of mine. Grin
2067  Other / Off-topic / Re: Job Vs Bitcoin on: July 28, 2017, 11:34:22 PM
Hi, I was wondering if I should quit my job and focus more on bitcoins? Because I think it might get me even richer without a job?  Grin

You may go to work in the morning and focus on bitcoin in the evening when back home. For me, I quit my job last year because I was in to so many stuff online and making more money selling digital goods and offering freelancing services. I'm now focused on bitcoin and crytocurrency because that is where the next dot boom is taking place. Bitcoin and other crytocurrencies are now making young people rich (millionaires) everyday more than ever.
2068  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it too late to buy bitcoin? on: July 28, 2017, 11:22:12 PM
Even the blind can see that crypto Currency is making people millionaires all  over the world just because they present the holders of such currency with the financial freedom and opportunity to accrue large amounts of wealth base on currency investment . But my question is that, is it late to buy bitcoin? Should i wait maybe bitcoin price will decline after 1st August meeting? Please i will welcome your advice so that I can make my decision on crypto currency investment.

It's never too late to invest in cryptocurrency, as it fluctuate from time to time because it is self-stabilizing economy. I was first came across bitcoin around Feb. 2013, during that time bitcoin worth around $56 and now bitcoin worth nearly $3k. Imagine, how bitcoin is going to worth in the next 5-10 years. "Thinking is too late to get involved in bitcoin is like thinking is too late to get involved with the internet" - Roger Verr.

Invest in bitcoin or Ether and you'll thank yourself in the few years to come because even the world elite like "Bill Gates" and "Mark Zuckerberg" are investing in to bitcoin and other crytocurrencies. Don't wait to long to invest because cryptocurrency is the best place to invest your money now.
2069  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many people were into bitcoin in 2009? on: July 28, 2017, 11:00:05 PM
Was it in the 100s or 1000s? I tried googling without any luck.

Also, a quote I saw a lot after the recent talk by everyone's favourite: “Fuck Raspberry Pis, if you can't afford a $20,000 node to help the network, piss off.”

Watched the whole thing and what was actually said: “Quite frankly, I don't care about Raspberry Pis. If you have been in Bitcoin since 2009 and you can't afford a $20,000 node to help this network, piss off.”

So, what would that mean? How much would that help in terms of decentralization and the network in general if everybody that was into bitcoin in 2009 had a $20,000 node?

Bitcoin was invented in 2009 by Satoshi and founder of this forum back in the days with few software engineers and cryptographers, which means there were few people involved in the bitcoin community because it was under development stage.

During that period not everybody was interest in bitcoin because people think it's the project that has no future, but nevertheless Satoshi and his team keep on updating bitcoin core and the blockchain network.

Back then very few people can afford to pay for bitcoin mining hardware (like Raspberry Pi) and dedicate their time to learn about bitcoin mining and bitcoin in-general. So, there were actually few hundreds people involved in bitcoin 2009.

2071  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do people pray? on: July 28, 2017, 03:51:00 PM
Get sense at least small, please!

People pray to God for what is better in their lives.

God sends people to Earth with hand full of choices in their lives, they don't know which one is right nor wrong.

So, people pray to God for guidance and of Gods' best selection from the choices they make.
2072  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Population on: July 28, 2017, 03:35:27 PM
What is the best solution to resolve our problem in overpopulation?
The best solution to that is we should educate people about the impact or what the problem of overpopulation may cause to our planet.
Regardless of who they are, where they are from, their religions beliefs or culture. This is a collective responsibility, something that you may only teach people to understand because you cannot force people to stop having sex or use the method of family planning worldwide.
2073  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What do you think of North Korea? on: July 28, 2017, 02:49:51 PM
North Korea just launched its Ballistic Missile. Should the world be alarmed?
The world is full of politics sometimes I don't want to even hear it or talk about it. North Koreans are building short-range NUKES for long time but nobody was doing a damn thing to stop them. Perhaps, nobody wants to start a damn WW3 per say. But clearly this world is in grave danger the day North Koreans fully succeeded in building their dream weapon which is the long-range ICBM.
2074  Other / Off-topic / Re: MAYWEATHER VS. MCGREGOR - what's your choise? on: July 28, 2017, 02:39:56 PM
I hate them both, i wish they K.O. each other.
I like them both but Mcgregor was beaten before and Floyd is undisputed Smiley

Thus, I'll go for Floyd Mayweather to continue his journey from where he stopped as undisputed champion!

2076  Other / Off-topic / Re: Best Comedy Movies in Hollywood? on: July 22, 2017, 09:17:20 AM
1- Hangover (1-2-3)
2- brothers grimsby
3- a million ways to die in the west

Great combination here; they're both amazing comedies more especially Hangover trilogy Grin
2077  Other / Off-topic / Re: Best Comedy Movies in Hollywood? on: July 22, 2017, 09:14:42 AM
I like The Other Guys and American Pie.
wow, what a good movie "The Other Guys" and for "American Pie" that movie was like High School movie type. I don't take "American Pie" as a comedy rather a high-school type of a movie.
2078  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are my bitcoins safe in blockchain.info? on: July 20, 2017, 02:14:50 AM
Blockchain wallet is safe as long as you kept your password and the 12 words to recover your wallet offline. But it is more secure to get pc wallet with your parivate keys.

Are you sure about this? How can we recover our coins with the 12 word backup, if the Blockchain.info website closes down? Also, how to use the private key, which is in text format?

Oh come on, don't get scared your coins in blockchain.info are going to be fine and nothing bad will ever come close to it because the blockchain.info is there for you don't get panic Grin
2079  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are my bitcoins safe in blockchain.info? on: July 20, 2017, 02:09:50 AM
Are my bitcoins safe in online wallet www.blockchain.info for what happens on August 1?

I have my private keys & my account is fully secured.

I really need to know this Smiley
Probably not. Your coins were never safe with blockchain.info anyways since they continuously have security and usability issues anyways. If a chain split happens, you won't be able to decide on which chain you want to transact on, blockchain.info will choose that for you.
That makes it safer for the bitcoin users because wallet companies are the ones responsible for selecting the right chain for their users.
2080  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to chose web-hosting for a crypto-currency project? Which country is safe? on: July 20, 2017, 02:05:36 AM
I am making a non-profit project - that uses crypto-currencies, so i am little bit afraid to buy usual hosting, i am worried that there are different laws in each country and it's really easy suddenly became illegal.

Dont worry too much about that, crypto currencies arent illegal in general.
Its so new, its hard to even regulate it.
Create website anywhere and keep doing backups every day. Then if problems arise you can move to other country (if needed)

Yes crypto-currencies aren't illegal you may start your project on hosting services like: Linode, DigitalOcean or NameCheap Web Hosting Smiley
