Website back up: https://www.CheaperInBitcoins.com everything is set to "Not Available" until I get my admin panel to do the things i need done. I will still be personally auditing incoming and outgoing transactions and checking for inconsistencies with purchases.
2082  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Cheaper In Bitcoins on: September 07, 2011, 11:11:33 PM
Website will be up in about an hour with the statuses of all invoices updated. On another side note, I'm setting everything to "not available" until I get my admin panel to have more features. I was going to just work off the MySql commands and do everything manually the first month but if I get this many customers(which isn't much) it will be impossible to get orders out same day. So when the website comes back online everyone just be patient if you really want to order somthing, its for the good!

Can anybody explain to me wtf hes talking about?

I personally think he is relating the MT Gox price fluxations with the hack around in june, but the "Speculator" that sent me this email is saying that someone just pumped and dumped the price.

I'll translate it to Fact.

"Damnit. Bunches of people got into this when it was $1 each. I'm a latecomer. I want massive profits, but if I spend all my money at $7 and it goes to $10 I don't get as big a return on investment. I know! I'll spread a bunch of "analysis" about how the currency is worthless and there are scams keeping the price high, and everyone will believe me, and it'll plummet and I can buy more!!"

I swear to bob, I sub-conciously thought the same exact thing!!
2085  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Need Help Starting an exchange on: September 07, 2011, 09:19:30 PM
You seem to think I solely rely on the operation of my PHP coding skills. Not true, just like any web software I would personally audit all outgoing and incoming transactions just as I'm doing right now. I have honey-pots planted not just in the programming but in the way I do business, I'm waiting for people to attempt to steal from me so I can catch it and patch up the holes personally my self before I lose any money.

Let me just translate what I just said in this post "I feel as if I'm way more intelligent then I did 5 minutes ago, just by what you said".

Okay. This just keeps getting better. Not only do you ignore security 101 on free projects because they are not important. Nope, it gets better. In your paid projects- you put in exploits so that you can monitor them and then patch them up afterwards? I could only hope that users see this thread before they use your site. Too bad they will trust your lack of security skills because they read your sig line that says you are an 8 year PHP veteran. What a joke. Take your github repository down before someone loses coins because of you.

You have no idea what your talking about.

1] I never said "Implated", I said "I'm waiting for people to attempt to steal from me..."
2] I don't get your argument about the free thing, I suppose your wealthy enough to invest all your time on... what ever it is that you do... but I myself don't have enough to waste time on free(as in ROI gain) projects, I'm actually currently wasting my time investing in getting the Bitcoin cash flow going by supplying items for bit-coiners. Not sure if you noticed but prices are getting low, and in my opinion its because bitcoin isn't worth squat, so sorry for taking my hard-earn money and taking a huge risk in trying to start a business to make bit-coins worth-something.
3]I don't store coins on my CheaperInBitcoins.com server its gets sent to an offline wallet.
4]Here is a dinasaur hug becuase I think you didn't get enough attention when you were young,

5]A honey-pot is a system were your system makes hackers believe they are into your admin panel or ssh tunnel when really its all "simulated" while the hacker is going through the simulation I'm tracking IP addresses and watching what the hacker is after and or attempting to change.

I hope you guys read Xenland's posts before you trust his site.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=41955.0

He says he is security minded but doesn't care about doing security in his open source projects that are security basics 101. He introduces some lame small bounty for hacking his site. Really? I can win bitcents finding exploits or I can hack your user database or steal coins. Which one do you think sounds better to a hacker? Then he says he purposely puts in security problems so he can monitor them and plug them later. Just absolutely epic. Welcome to Xenland's project. The next GOXED.
Please "wannaBhacker" don't invade my thread with your accusations, please start your own thread I'd be happy to answer any questions.

I don't know where he got the idea i have Bitcoins stored on my server.

All Bitcoins get sent to an encrypted offline wallet which is stored on a USB stick. This USB stick is only used on a computer that has been wiped and this computer is only used for bussiness purposes such as for example "Transfering Bitcoins to an exchanger".

I have to get back to work and would like to assure everyone that nothing is wrong and I don't know why wannaBHacker has the need to attack me. The website will be up shortly with the statuses of everyones orders.
2087  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Cheaper In Bitcoins on: September 07, 2011, 08:44:37 PM

site has been down all day... any update update?

Here is one update:

Looks like all orders will go out today except for the one who purchased 2x5870's I'm all out of those and I will issue a refund.

I think I speak for a lot of people when I'm asking:

"We can haz internashunul shipd?" Cheesy

hehe

Well I'll respond with the follow....

"U can Haz Shipd N-E werez if you putz in Customer Comments"

lol

I ment to say......

Quote
You can have your international shipping, this is how you do it....
When you put in an order, put your International Shipping Address in the customer comments and click checkout,
You can then wait until I see your order and I will re-price your order to the quoted amount.
I don't recommend international shipping at this point in time until I get it integrated directly into the Check out

Exactly well I don't go the mile for un-paid projects I just write then with security in mind. I had better things to do like CheaperInBitcoins.com I paid testers/hackers to attempt to gain access to my database and the whole website came back clean at best, someone was able to display JavaScript codes, but only to him self. LOL Thanks for bringing back the nostolgia of my MiningFarm days bra!

But yeah the user "wannaBhacker" for somereason took my suggestion and made his suggestion so I'll stroke his ego and agree with the suggestion he suggested, your basically not ready to create an exchange unless you hire a coder(i could have sworn I said this in my first post?)

What? That's what you got from my post? You ignore security on your free projects? That just sounds stupid. Maybe English isn't your first language so I'll chalk that up to a translation error. SQL Injection prevention is PHP / MySQL 101. If you skip that on your free projects remind me to never both with any of your paid products. 8 years experience my ass. Why would someone tell you about a security loophool for your bounty of bitcents? When they can wait for customers to access your site and potentially steal thousands? Bravo brains. If you want to make a security bounty worthwhile put some real money behind it. Otherwise real hackers will cash in when its worth it to them.

You seem to think I solely rely on the operation of my PHP coding skills. Need some general direction to start an exchange.

I haven't coded web pages or PHP for a very long time.

I was thinking a long the lines of a LAMP server.
Is that a good idea? I assume its security is as good as it is set up.
Problem is, I've never done it before.

Any input appreciated to get me started in the right direction.

This is just me but if your not up to par with php security techniques I would suggest hiring a coder.
I've been PHP programming as a hobby for 8 years, not just a hobby but like a passion i would say I digress, I always program with security in mind even if its a "dinky" little project but as much as I research about XSS attacks and mysql injection attacks and every-other attack out their I still don't know everything, this is why i suggest hiring a coder becuase it doesn't look good when you get GOXED or anything of the sort that will make people very pissed off at you.

Or get PHP5 book that is specifically written with security in mind would help!

I've recommend PHP5 by O'reilly but I'm sure their are better books out there

Xenland- really?

The last post on your open source project https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=10617.260 Shows that you are taking raw Get requests and passing them directly to MySQL. It also says you have a vulnerability regarding password resets. These were posted almost a month ago and you haven't bothered to update them in Github. An 8 year veteran with a security mind probably wouldn't build the SQL Injection issues into the earlier versions of his code. Those simple things would just be the way it is programmed.

If you want to know how to start an exchange you're probably not ready to start an exchange without getting some solid minds behind you. Just because someone says they are a PHP veteran with 8 years experience doesn't mean they are other. You can be anything you want to on the internet and that's probably why so many coins are stolen.

Exactly well I don't go the mile for un-paid projects I just write then with security in mind. Thanks for you patience everyone, money is being transfered waiting on my suppliers to give me shipping numbers. Some orders will have to be sent to my registered business address which will then be sent to the customer. There is only one order that will can and will drop shipped(sent to the customer directly).

Website updates should be up very soon been doing alot of overnight work.

Goodluck Mining, Everyone!

Okay so we are all speculators but I think this is just getting ridicules but one speculator sent this to me stating that multiple entities have "raped the exchange" and this graph I've included is from one of the speculators stating that someone is massivly "Pump and Dumping" as he stated later on in the conversation.

Can anybody explain to me wtf hes talking about?

Some things that are going to be released in the near future:

*Email receipts [Customers will receive full invoice receipts upon confirmation of payment]

*Some minor fixes here and their to make things run a bit more smoothly

*Refund system will have a "Cancel" button

*Daemon page will show recently shipped items

*and a "State" input in the shipping form, because everyone seems to think their zip code doesn't tell them which state they live it Tongue

I've replaced the image at the top of the thread which shows the scale of these 1 grams , I hadnt realised I had removed it when i posted the type 2 pics .

I'm not totally sure of the size of a quarter , about $11 if it were .999 silver ?
yeah that would too expensive for my taste for one coin, none the less I'm satisfied with these!
