2083  Economy / Exchanges / Re: The Exchange cryptsy dies? on: January 13, 2016, 08:27:20 AM
It is a real shame that Cryptsy has fallen in this way, I always saw them as one of the better exchanges, once I started to read about withdraw issues I removed the small amount of altcoins I had left in there.

This is another reminder that large amounts of bitcoin should not be trusted on exchanges, Bittrex is a good alternative for altcoin trading and also poloniex.
2084  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My burning desire for today...to succeed! on: January 12, 2016, 09:24:00 PM
I think it would depend on which country you are in and how the banks feel towards bitcoin, I would guess that your chances would be slim though.
2085  Economy / Services / Re: Selling My Avatar Space on: January 12, 2016, 09:19:49 PM
your best chance is to have a look and find a current avatar campaign and apply, you could be waiting a while otherwise.
2086  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin becomes one of the biggest Investments by all the Major Banks in History on: January 12, 2016, 06:11:48 PM
I have seen stories of banks investing in the blockchain technology but am yet to see any about them investing in bitcoin itself.
2087  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Suspicious of Bitcoin due to this experience on: January 12, 2016, 06:07:22 PM
have a look at coinbase they are legit and should be able to sort you out.
2088  Economy / Gambling / Re: From nothing to something in Jetwin on: January 12, 2016, 12:20:06 PM
I thought the same from the subject from nothing to something indicates that you had nothing, good luck with your bet even with crazy odds there is still always a chance of a win.
2089  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Paid to gamble on: January 12, 2016, 12:17:40 PM
I would say it is gambling as you are using your coins which you received from the faucet so the coins are really yours and you are risking them.

Check out that link that was sent to you earlier in the thread it is kept up to date and gives you all the information you are looking for.
2091  Economy / Speculation / Re: 1 BTC = 1000$ in 2016 on: January 11, 2016, 09:47:32 PM
I think that is quite optimistic unless a whole load of things fall into place and bitcoin is adopted by a few lsrge companies, perhaps 2017 it could hit that level?
2092  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Getting Started with small Budget on: January 11, 2016, 09:44:43 PM
I agree, your best bet is to purchase $100 worth of bitcoin or look into mining some altcoins and then exchange them for bitcoins, it is just too difficult right now to mine bitcoin at that level.
2093  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Faucets are good for bitcoin - 2016 on: January 11, 2016, 05:09:47 PM
Fair point, it is good for people new to pick up a small amount of satoshi to get used to wallet transactions and what bitcoin is before they go all in and purchase some.
I know some people hate them and think it's a waste of time, but for some people just coming into bitcoin faucets are invaluable.
2094  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Any suggestions on bitcoin mining on: January 11, 2016, 08:27:48 AM
If you have free electricity and already have your own hardware then you should make a tiny profit but it really is difficult now to come away with anything major.  Cloud mning is hit and miss, a lot of the sites have gone and there are a lot of scam sites around that will just take your money and run.

I picked up some hashpower from Genesis mining and it will take me the whole year to get roi and with the reward halving coming up I am not sure roi will even happen.

Out of the two I would choose to mine yourself only after you work out if t will be profitable. there are also other altcoins you could mine, you can look in the alternative section to find out more.
2095  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What happens to Bitcoins if I sent to another address from the same wallet? on: January 11, 2016, 08:20:11 AM
Yeah nothng crazy will happen like losing your coins or anything like that, you will be just sending the coins to yourself minus the fee.
2096  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Name the Year You Became Aware of Crypto Currency on: January 08, 2016, 01:09:38 PM
Around 2012 heard of it but never gave it must attention which is a shame for me!  then got back to it when there was a news story about some guy chucking out his hard drive which was worth a lot of money, this was 2013.
2097  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-01-07] Sneak Peek at Bitcoin's upcoming killer app - Open Bazaar on: January 07, 2016, 09:21:11 PM
I have heard of this a short while ago and it does look promising, I second the opinion that there is potential for it to go to the dark side but this must have been thought of, perhaps there is some kind of moderation that will take place and keep it legit.
2098  Economy / Speculation / Re: um.. why is the price going up? on: January 07, 2016, 06:08:54 PM
Why not lol but remember what goes up must come down.
2099  Economy / Speculation / Re: Recent price rise on: January 07, 2016, 12:45:29 PM
this is not a real increase, if you factor-in, the fact that we have already seen two times 480-500 value, this is nothing new

it's a returning to the previous point, you can begin to talk about a rise when we surpass 500
$500 in the next few days would be a talking point, with all the halving chat it might hit $500 by this time next week or at least this month..... maybe
