I don't think its a good idea to just let non-used coins get destroyed.
Let's just keep it reasonable simple and get this thing going ASAP, we don't need to delay this project even further than it has now
2 M coins destroy and put into POW seems like an okay idea to me.
Imagine if you had to go into hospital for a few months. When you got out all your coins would have been destroyed. Just going on holiday and finding you had no internet access could result in all your coins being destroyed. for example

Edit: you went from 'top 20 owning 90%' to 'top 10 owning 1/3'. Which is it?
It is the second, of course. Top 20 were owning 100% initially. I did not know how much now. Now I do and it is almost 1/3. Still showing an evident distribution problem... which is THE problem. Don't disperse.... Glad you took the effort to look at the Top 100 NXT accounts

I made a withdrawal on cryptsy
Nxt 9049951402102219004 1011.00000000 NXT Yes 2014-05-13 14:09:23 Processed TrxID: 16833087602813879114 @ 2014-05-13 14:30:16
Withdrawal processed, 2 hours later still no coin in wallet, how is it possible ? Nxt is that slow or something failed ?
Cryptsy, unfortunately is very slow in NXT withdrawals.. NXT itself is not the cause of this problem BTER for instance has instant withdrawals.. You should put up a support ticket on Cryptsy, because this is not acceptable..

Then you are in the wrong topic, because there aint no 20 wallets controlling 90 % of the NXT lmao

but many more continue adding coins by forging massive amounts
no the total NXT in circulation does not increase. The money supply is constant. -bm So those people with 40-50 million coins, they don't forge more? they do forge BLOCKS and they get the TX FEES as payment for doing so. So the NXTs only circulate from USERS to STAKEHOLDERS via transaction fees. it's quite different than Bitcoin. -bm I understand that but, assuming they havent sold a single coin, a guy with 50 million would have considerably more than 50 million nby forging right now, right? yes, but that is true for everyone only forging and not selling. What is your point? My point is that if only 20 wallets control probably 80-90% or more of NXT, how does that situation makes a 51% attack "impossible" as claimed in the NXT documents? Clearer: There's a huge distribution problem -extensible to forging- in this coin. Or I am totally wrong? You are wrong. There isn't a huge distribution problem. Distribution is already way better than bitcoin's and continues to get better. I appreciate your confidence but, sorry, you don 't dispute any of my points. Again: 20 wallets got a total of 1 billion coins. Even after presumably massive dumping, still a bunch of those wallets and a few others, control 90% of the coins. How is that not a massive distribution problem? SWhatever the situation on BTc notwithstanding? You sir must be a troll... Top 100 NXT account: http://87.230.14.1/nxt/nxt.cgi?action=34

That's not the case anymore for a loooooooong time LOOK HERE: http://87.230.14.1/nxt/nxt.cgi?action=34Here you can see the top accounts A few of them are from BTER, DGEX and CRYPTSY, the top 20 account now own less than 30-40% (rough calculation)

But they overall supply of NXT will stay the same, as every nxt will come from a fee someone has to pay

why i can't connect my wallet to yin/yang coin network? I using windows 8
Do you guys have any idea why my wallets are not updating? I just downloaded them a few minutes ago, and added the .conf into their respective folders, and nothing, no active connections. I am stuck at 10 weeks.
yincoin.conf Code: server=1 listen=1 rpcuser=username rpcpassword=userpassword rpcport=46464 addnode=184.154.116.146:56565 addnode=71.105.130.10 addnode=98.194.255.87 addnode=155.210.85.73 addnode=184.154.116 addnode=96.241.43.48 #gen=1 yangcoin.conf Code: server=1 listen=1 rpcuser=username rpcpassword=userpassword rpcport=36363 addnode=184.154.116.146:56565 addnode=71.105.130.10 addnode=98.194.255.87 addnode=155.210.85.73 addnode=184.154.116 addnode=96.241.43.48 #gen=1 I was also having the same issue. Make sure you uncheck the SOCKS proxy. That's how i sync'd mine

Then name some that are more "promising".
YinCoin YangCoin seem promising. You should view coins from a technical perspective. I can't really find a good coin when it is hidden among hundreds of topics related to copycoins. Just as I expected, you avoid the question. NXT nr. 1 !

Are all the coins distributed already? If not whats the plans for distribution?
Our multipool will payout 25% bonus coins. So the process will be: 100% of coin payouts will come from undistributed coins. 25% of profit from pool will be used to buy up bonus coins. 75% of profit from pool will be used to build floors. The undistributed coins are actually a good thing now because it lets us use our multipool profits for not just buying. When will the POW/POW system be developed?
