2081  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian Invasion of Ukraine[In Progress] on: February 26, 2023, 10:06:03 AM

Russian Orthodox Church (ROC) is a branch of the FSB.

It provided military intelligence to the enemy.

To Ukrainians, ROC is a terrorist organization, not a Christian church.

The point is that people have a difficult time finding out about the attributes of God without the Bible. And the ROC promotes reading and studying the Bible. Further, God comes to people through their reading of the Bible more than any other way. The knowledge of Jesus and salvation would be completely absent if it were not shown through the Bible. The ROC and the Bible are a gift of God to man.

This means that if the ROC is a branch of the FSB, the FSB might have certain Christian tendencies. If only the FSB would bring those Christian tendencies to full strength, Russia might become the most wonderful government of the world.

Cool

The thing is that you are just saying what you want to believe, but it is actually far from reality.  ROC used to be a branch of KGB during Soviet times, and it is a branch of the FSB today(even inside of the USA).

No, the ROC doesn't promote reading and studying the Bible. It promotes listening to them, and believing in their interpretations. "Any Russian soldier who dies in the war in Ukraine is forgiven for his sins", -  said the head of the Russian Orthodox Church a few days after the partial mobilization ordered by Putin. FSB doesn't have any Christian tendencies. They are just lying to uneducated people in pursuit of their goals.

Placing a multibet with 19 legs and winning it?

Man, this is inspiring! I like doing multibets myself, but I've never placed a bet with more than 10 legs, let alone winning it.

Congrats! And, of course, waiting for more of your stories. Good luck in the future!
2083  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rejecting odd provider's limit on: February 26, 2023, 08:29:23 AM
At least, if we keep to the theory that players will always lose in the long run.
This theory only work on luck based games e.g. slots, dice, etc where you don't have any way to control your bet since the result is completely random. While in sportsbookie you can bet in any event and any option you like, so if you're a professional bettor you might make a lot money in through gambling. As a casino they wouldn't want this and they will limit your bet to prevent them from future losses.

In the past, when it was hard to prevent various forms of cheating  on the part of gamblers, people that winning "too much" were restricted from this or that casino. Today I don't think it is still a thing. Big online casinos are not afraid of those gamblers, professional poker players or sports bettors, who can win millions. On the contrary, they want to attract such gamblers to their platforms to use the cases of their huge wins for advertising purposes.

Unfortunately, I can't go by the link because the site isn't working for me for like a week now. I'm trying in different browsers, but the result is always the same
Have you restarted your modem or tried to clear the cache? The website works perfectly for me.

I tried to access Duelbits with various browsers and from four different devices. It's not working for me, and others posted about this problem too. I wasn't having any issues with accessing the site for many months, but now it looks like it's not only me:

2085  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Using AI to predict outcomes on: February 25, 2023, 11:56:14 AM
~ What do we expect from them, just letting gamblers to see a good advantage? For sure no! they will also do things that will let them to continue being in the upper hands.
There is bound to be technological competition between players and casino owners trying to earn money from gambling. And there is a possibility that players can win more matches because players can have more choices of matches to bet on. Casinos will try to develop technology that can prevent AI from helping players to get more information.

And it's very interesting to see it happen in the future after AI technology has been developed better than today. And maybe the casinos will still manage to keep an advantage over gamblers trying to win big bucks.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but in my opinion it's not the bookies, it's the bettors who with their bets affect the odds. Bookies set the odds only initially, and after that the odds are changing all the time depending on how much money was staked on this or that outcome.

I just asked ChatGPT a question about predicting sport events

and it appeared more optimistic than I expected. Smiley
2086  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀-Sportsbet.io-🚀 - Main sponsor of Southampton FC 👋👋 on: February 25, 2023, 11:10:22 AM
@LFC_Bitcoin the match ended in a draw and it was clear that Fulham missed Mitrovic’s presence, but despite the draw Fulham are doing very well as they’re yet sitting 6th in the league table.

Fulham has been doing amazing lately, and all my mutlibets include Fulham to win. I was surprised they didn't win yesterday playing at home, and like the most of us in the Sportsbet's BitcoinTalk Pool on Superbru I was wrong with my prediction:

Nevertheless, even though they are not playing at home in this match

I think they are worth betting on, considering the odds.

It took me around 40 minutes, cumulatively. I played several times, 10 minutes each time. But sometimes, it takes less than 5 minutes to hit the desired multiplier. Like with this one in particular:

It took me less than 20 spins to hit! Can you imagine? You can. You play slots yourself. I know. Smiley

Damn, you get a fantastic multiplier bro unfortunately this game is not included in the challenge list right?

Actually, it was for a challenge back then when I hit it. I took the 6th place

and won $25 with it, but since it was multiplied by 2(+100%), in reality I got $50

So that hit earned me more than $250 in total. Smiley

I haven't gotten something good in this game
even always ends in a loss, I won't try this game if my bankroll is low because this game usually sucks my balance faster except being one of the lucky ones like you
May I know how much your initial balance when playing this game?

My initial balance was around $50 before I started playing The Bowery Boys slot.
2089  Economy / Gambling / Re: Researching for Upcoming Game on: February 25, 2023, 08:59:26 AM
~ I think that the testing of a new casino can be divided into two options:

1. This casino has been on the market for a long time, but you are entering it for the first time.  Never used them before.

2. The casino has just appeared on the gambling market and there are no objective player reviews about it yet, received during the game or testing.

From the first case, it is enough to read the reviews on various forums and you will understand what problems you may encounter in principle.  With this, everything is clear.

But for the second case, in my opinion, the best option is to start by waiting a bit until the reviews of the players who have already tried to play appear.  Only of course you need to understand and separate custom, advertising information.  And only after reading these real reviews, you can decide whether you want to play in this new casino.

But maybe I'm too careful, but your money  always likes caution. Smiley

You can't be too careful when it concerns your money. I agree with you on the first case: if it's a reputable site that has been for a while on the market, we can worry a little about it turning into a scam all of a sudden, but in most cases reading the latest reviews is enough.

With newly appeared sites it can be not that simple. The reviews can be paid ones, so, yes, we should be careful.
2090  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 Oscar Awards betting and discussions on: February 25, 2023, 08:34:55 AM
As for the probability of it winning in the Best Picture category, of course it's not that high, but definitely much more than 1%. Remember Parasite winning the Oscar for the Best Picture 3 years ago? To me Triangle of Sadness is a similar film, criticizing the rich and the poor in an amazingly funny manner.
There are similarities in the subject of those movies, but while Triangle of Sadness is a total underdog with not a good chances for a win, Parasite was the 2nd favorite (the only one ahead was 1917) that before Oscar won a couple of BAFTA and Golden Globe awards so it already had a decent resume. I might be totally wrong here, but I see Parasite winning was in part of compensation for Roma not winning an award the previous year and making it the first non-English spoken movie that won Best Picture award. Don't get me wrong, it is a quality movie and deserving winner (albeit for me the best one that year was probably The Marriage Story) but South Koreans made better ones in previous years that unfortunately weren't recognized.

That is very true. The director of Parasite himself, Bong Joon Ho, made several movies that, in my opinion, are among the best movies of all times. My personal favorites are Memories of Murder (2003) and Mother (2009), but I know that movie fans and film critics adore his other movies too. Park Chan-wook, Kim Ki-duk, Park Hoon-jung, all of them deserved Oscar, and when Parasite won the Oscar for Best Picture, to me it was the recognition of all Korean films I loved so much.

He was recognized by many for his outstanding performance in Aftersun, and I think he deserves a bet on him, especially with those odds.
He did a very good job and these are the good odds, but they are so high for a reason. For me personally Colin Farrel did the best job while I still haven't seen The Whale (it became available today on torrents so I'll probably watch it in the next few days) and since I like the odds (~6) I will go for him.

Colin Farrel did a great job in The Banshees of Inisherin, and, imo, his chances are not lower than Paul Mescal's. Only the odds, 6.37 for Colin Farrel and 33.32 for Paul Mescal, make me bet on the latter.

And I saw The Whale two days ago, and I think Brendan Fraser is the one with the best chances, and I have zero doubts about The Whale winning in the Best Makeup and Hairstyling category.
2091  Economy / Gambling / Re: What else should an established crypto casino add? on: February 22, 2023, 01:03:52 PM

We have no figures but I would guess this is probably true, if we were to consider on aggregate which type of restaurant generates the most money between fast food restaurants and those with Michelin stars, fast food restaurants should come ahead simply by the volume of customers they attend and the speed at which they do so.

And the same should be true for casinos, and while gaining a new whale player should be always welcome, casinos probably prefer to have as many customers as possible, as those customers then recommend their casino to others and they gain many more clients for free as the casino did not spent any money to get them.

Again, we have no reliable stats, but I want to agree with you, and I like your comparison of money generated by regular folks and high rollers in casino  to that of fast food restaurants and those with Michelin stars. It's not the same thing, but it's pretty close in my opinion. The difference is that regular folks don't usually go to the restaurants of fine dining, while we can find the poorest and the richest people playing on the same gambling platform at the same time. That's why those luxury restaurants can have little regard for the regular people and still be doing just fine, while online casinos shouldn't neglect small bettors, if they want their business to prosper.
2092  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your Favorite Play’n Go Games and Experience on: February 22, 2023, 11:44:54 AM
I rarely play slots, but some of the most recent ones I've played by Play 'N Go (And some that I remember) were Reactoonz 2, Tome of Madness and I think it was called Sweet Alchemy Bingo and Rise of Olympus way back a few years (or maybe just last year not really sure). I don't really think I've ever hit it big with slots, the only games I've won a bit better than the norm was usually in crash/blackjack since those two were the top games I play, I usually just play a bit with slots in most cases.

I think, it's because you rarely play them, as you said it yourself. Play them more and you'll be hitting high multipliers more often. That doesn't mean you will be in profit in the end, though. In fact, it is a bit more likely that your profit will be negative after many thousands of bets. But you will have your fun, that's what is, like, guaranteed. Smiley

For anyone who likes getting frequent rewards I would suggest Cat Wilde and the Doom of Dead by Play’n Go. The rewards are not that big, but you are getting them all the time. It's fun.
2093  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why Do Gamblers Do This? on: February 21, 2023, 03:11:28 PM
In this forum and other forums where gambling is one of the topics of discussion, one of the recurrent topics is people who write about how their gambling addiction has ruined their lives. We usually encounter topics like "Gambling ruined my life,"  "I lost all my life savings to gambling,"  "I gambled away my entire salary," etc. Then they go on to tell a sad tale. It makes me wonder: why do gamblers tend to wait until they have suffered a catastrophic loss or a string of losses before quitting or seeking help?

Because gambling addiction is a disease. Gamblers who have it have an uncontrollable urge to gamble all of a sudden, and can't think of anything else, including the potential consequences of such behaviour. They don't want to stop even when they lose everything on their balance on a gambling site and all their money altogether. In that case they want to borrow and gamble again.

So, we shouldn't judge them. Rather, we should help them to seek professional help.
2094  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 Oscar Awards betting and discussions on: February 21, 2023, 01:38:32 PM
I think these two movies have an equal chance, but in this situation it is better, of course, to bet on the latter, considering 101.00 odds.
If what you are saying is true, that means bookies made a huge mistake by giving such a high odds on Triangle of Sadness. To me its one of the better movies of the last year (and I really enjoyed seeing Croatian actor Zlatko Buric aka Dimitry as I haven';t seen him in anything good for many years) but if that one wins, it would be one of the biggest upsets ever and somehow I don't see it happening since there's no buzz around it.

I think if Triangle of Sadness wins, bookies will payout from the money placed on other pictures, so they will not lose anything anyway. Smiley

The movie I think deserved Best Picture nominations but for some reason didn't end up getting one is Aftersun.

I watched Aftersun and I liked it, but not to the extent other movie fans(including you) did. I feel like I missed something important. So, I downloaded the screenplay and reading it right now to better understand what Charlotte Wells wanted to say with her film.

Btw, look at the odds for Paul Mescal in the Best Actor category:

He was recognized by many for his outstanding performance in Aftersun, and I think he deserves a bet on him, especially with those odds.

politically unstable region with a little over 200k people.

Cheap electricity means: mining companies from other countries are moving their operations to this country (population doesn't matter)

Population doesn't matter, but political situation in the region does. No one wants their equipment confiscated, or, worse, all their money, or, even worse, they are put in jail on top of everything else. And you better be paranoid when going to places controlled by separatists backed by Russia.
2098  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Heavyweight Boxing 1st April 2023: Joshua vs Franklin on: February 21, 2023, 11:29:10 AM
Is it possible that Franklin sees this the other way round to the way you see it and he thinks of this fight as putting him back on the track to a world title fight? If it applies to Joshua then it should apply to Franklin too, he has an equal right to think of this fight as an opportunity to redeem himself. ~

Yes, absolutely. Franklin has only one loss in his career, and it was his latest fight 3 months ago. More than anything he wants wants to prove to the world that the last time he lost by accident. So, his motivation is strong enough, and he's in a great shape too. As I said earlier, I admire your betting on the underdog. And I think you have a good chance to win. Definitely more than 15% chance, as it might seem from the odds.

I even placed a bet on Franklin inspired by what you wrote here.

Let's hope Jermaine Franklin won't let us down. Smiley
2099  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcasino.io 🖤 - #1 VIP Crypto Casino on: February 21, 2023, 10:23:05 AM
I think I'll show my recent wins on Bitcasino.io. Actually, it was 2 days ago. There was a discussion of slots by Play'n GO in another thread on bitcointalk, and although I used to like playing these slots in the past, I haven't played them in a while, so I went to Bitcasino to see if they have them, and, sure thing , they have them galore:

In fact, there are 269 slots by Play'n GO on Bitcasino.io platform.
I decided to play on these two:

Rise of Olympus 100 gave me a nice win of €3.23

out of my €0.20 right away, and then, when after a few more spins I switched to Cat Wilde and the Doom of Dead. I'd got €2.83 out of my 10 cents bet within just 5 spins

And then a few spins later I won 10 free spins

and won something really nice, considering the bet was only €0.10

Played a bit more. Lost a little. And in the end my profit was around 0.5 mBTC plus lots of positive energy to go with through the rest of the day. Smiley
