2082  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where to invist / store my Bitcoins? on: October 26, 2016, 01:58:18 PM
Just hold it, the future is good for bitcoin.. Holding is the only safest way to invest and you just wait until the price will increase and when you see you desired price then that is the time to sell, pretty simple in making money here if you believe on the future of bitcoin..

Holding will depend on whether bitcoin will produce the desired result of increasing price. But sometimes, bitcoin just suddenly drops. So be careful when that happens.
2083  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where to invist / store my Bitcoins? on: October 25, 2016, 02:46:31 AM
This thread is really informative. I was in the impression that hashocean was legit back then, but look at it now, it's definitely a scam. It's so hard to invest bitcoin, so far I haven't seen a good one yet. Most of the time people would say just to keep it and wait for the price to rise up or trading.
2084  Economy / Economics / Re: We must build a new exchange rate system on: October 12, 2016, 05:55:43 PM
This is just your dream, bitcoin has nothing to do with dollar or any other currencie, i do understand you would like to see those, who wouldnt, but bitcoin its independent and wont be never addicted to any currencie, you can trade it against any currency and just.

You are absolutely right. The bitcoin is a currency, it does not rely on the US dollar or other  fiat to survive.
2085  Economy / Economics / Re: We must build a new exchange rate system on: October 04, 2016, 06:38:29 AM
it is an good idea to have new exchange rate system, bitcoin should gain more popularity . more the buy in demand the bitcoin price will go high , and bitcoin is now dominating on digital currency , there i huge growth for the bitcoin in future Smiley.

When the bitcoin is very popular and everybody uses it, there will be no exchange system. It is the only currency.
2086  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Genesis Mining Presents: sgminer-gm - with Ethereum support! on: September 25, 2016, 11:34:48 AM
After looking at my HW errors and explaining to someone last night in another thread what xI vs I vs rI it occurred to me that the shotgun approach I was using was flawed.

At the settings I was using I was making the GPU work 10 times harder and essentially getting 33mh by loading up the work and accepting the HW.

So today I used some reasoning- although it is limited by my understanding of "4-way" vs "8-way".  The other quote I accepted was the one made by Oh-God-it's a Girl earlier in this thread.  SHe stated that HW errors are normal, when in fact they are not normal.

So I started from scratch using the info I have on hand.  Global work has been accepted as 16384 or a variation of that number.  Plugging that into the xI formula and knowing a 390 has 2818 shaders the xI equivalent would be about 5.81.  It decreased the HW works but hashrate is about 20mh.  I then decreased the worksize by a factor of 4 to 64 (only because everything in mining is a factor -lol - and we went from 8 way to 4 way) and I increased the the xI by 2^4 and get about 93.  Also increase the xI without decreasing the worksize increased HW.  Plugging those numbers into the miner I am getting respectable Hash rates of about 28mh on a 390 with 1100/1250 with very few HW.

A little more tweaking and will increase the worksize and double the xI since it appears more threads are available with this miner using 4-way (at least I think)

What is your GPU thread? one or two threads?

With 1100/1250, you are getting ony 28MH. That is slower than the Claymore miner speed.
2087  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anyone booked profit when btc touched $ 400 ? on: September 12, 2016, 07:41:49 AM
Is there anyone who has booked the profit by selling the btc when the price was around $400 ? I have some coins but missed the opportunity and the prices are down again. I was hoping that the price will go beyond $500 but unfortunately it crashed.
I think that's when everybody was hoping they could sell when it hit that mid-1000 mark. But it didn't happen, showed up as high as $499.07 I believe.
Some were saying it did reach $502 for a little while but it was just a blimp on the radar so it was not registered on local tickers for me.
There are allot of people who booked profit with the bitcoin when he was like 400 each but i dont think that is the most allot of people buyed bitcoins on the price of a couple of dollar.

I think the bitcoin price will be stable around the current for a few more weeks. When the SegWit is activated, the price will be higher.
2088  Economy / Economics / Re: Can we Manipulate Bitcoin price? on: August 15, 2016, 07:00:57 AM
If the question is directly to me then I would say no because I dont have the power to pump or dump the price, those who can manipulate the price are the exchanges, big holders because we are talking about millions to be dumped or pumped.
if you have at least some bitcoins then you can have an impact on price to be honest, of course only big whales can have a huge impact on it

The biggest impact on the bitcoin is not the whales. It is the bitcoin developers. Their performance determines the bitcoin price.
2089  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin continuous rising? on: August 15, 2016, 06:57:30 AM
Making a research is good, it is just being initiative. It is nice knowing the history and background information so that you can understand and learn the things. Just go on with the flow of the price, we can still make profit in different ways disregarding the value.

I think the bitcoin price is consolidating at the current $586 range for a few more days, it will rise to $600 next month.
it would be really great if your predictions are correct at the moment, i think that bitcoin is going to be huge in like a few years and make me money

The bitcoin has recovered from the big drop. It is consolidating at the moment. After the consolidation, the price will rise.
Yeah! I also believe the rise will continue and it will reach into the level that it will surpass $600 this month. I hope some miracle will happen so I can sell my bitcoins stuck in my wallet, we just need a little good news that would make the price pump and then boom! I will make money then.

But the development of the bitcoin infrastructure will take some time, maybe decades. We have to be patient. The price will rise slowly.

From the current environment and the performance of the Core development, the bitcoin price will not rise in the near future.
2090  Economy / Economics / Re: Can we Manipulate Bitcoin price? on: July 28, 2016, 04:23:44 PM
If every forum member buy 10 bitcoin, then we will have half the total supply. That will drive the price high.
2091  Economy / Economics / Re: We must build a new exchange rate system on: July 28, 2016, 04:22:01 PM
We must build a new exchange rate system based on the quantity of money in existence. For example the bitcoin/U.S. dollar exchange rate should be: 1 bitcoin = 500.000 U.S. dollars because all the U.S. dollars in the world are 10.5 trillion. (10.5 trillion/21 million = 500.000).

What do you think about this idea?

Insane Idea, you cannot calculate the total quantity of bitcoin vs the total quantity of money for bitcoin price.  You need to see it's value first, then the adoption of people.  Btw you failed to includee euro, yen, rupi, peso and other nations money to compute your Bitcoin price.

It is simple logic. If you know the quantity of euro, yen, rupi, peso you can include them and calculate the altcoin price.

These fiat currencies supply are very heavily manipulated all the time, and we should not rely on governments to determine the value of bitcoins. We work on open markets where supply and demand,

dictate the value and on nothing else. The other fiat currencies are failing, because they manipulate the supply. We know there will only be 21 000 000 bitcoins and that should be the determining

factor for it's price. Bitcoin can stand on it's own, it does not have to rely on fiat currencies to determine it's value.  Roll Eyes

The central banks can manipulate the fiat supply by doing quantitative easing, ie printing money. That is bad.
2092  Economy / Speculation / Re: Value of Bitcoin at end of 2016, beginning of 2017 ::: Predictions? on: July 28, 2016, 04:17:57 PM
My prediction is that bitcoin may achieve the 800 dollars this year, and at 2017 well its hard to say because it may be accepted by big companies and the price will reflect those support, as others merchants will follow, but without it  i believe 900 dollars can be reached.

I think the bitcoin price will be at least $900 by the end of the year. If there is other good news, the price will be higher.
2093  Economy / Speculation / Re: Value of Bitcoin at end of 2016, beginning of 2017 ::: Predictions? on: July 16, 2016, 08:19:57 PM
I think the bitcoin price could be in the range between $1000 to $1200 in the early next year. It could be even higher.
2094  Economy / Economics / Re: We must build a new exchange rate system on: July 16, 2016, 08:12:01 PM

That is a good idea. Would you like to exchange my 1 bitcoin with your $500,000? If you do not, your idea will not work.
2095  Economy / Economics / Re: Can we Manipulate Bitcoin price? on: July 16, 2016, 08:08:07 PM
We can help promoting the bitcoin. The more people use the bitcoin, the more popular it is, the higher the price.
2096  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin continuous rising? on: July 16, 2016, 08:06:35 PM
While bitcoin's relative price stability has been helping generate visibility for ether, several market experts asserted that this lack of volatility could help bitcoin garner greater legitimacy.

The bitcoin price is quite stable recently. That will help the adoption of the bitcoin. Soon, the price will rise again.
2097  Economy / Speculation / Re: Back to $ 400 soon? on: July 16, 2016, 07:59:36 PM
Bitcoin is full of surprises as we all have seen by now. Even when the price looks very solid and due for a rise, the price goes down again as whales manipulate the market to shake out weak hands. That's why I never put too much trust in the price.

The bitcoin price is very volatile. But did you think the bitcoin rose too much between May and June and deserved some kinds of correction?

A correction will happen or maybe even happened when we went from 770 to 650.
In a worst case scenario I still predict the price will be above 450 dollar. To me it seems that is the price for miners to mine bitcoin with profit.
Below that price, we could expect a negative difficultly again.

A correction is happening at the moment. The bitcoin price will rise again after a few months of correction.
2098  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Radeon released RX 480. (Card is Released) on: July 02, 2016, 08:35:38 PM
They made a statement that they will "fix" 480 power issues via software (w/o details).

It can not be done by software at all, only was is to lower the clock and voltage, all the rest is lies from them, also to implement more robust and enforced TDP limits which also gona lower clock and voltage

wow. What a bold statement. Sounds like you think the way the driver controls the card is so dumb that they can't change anything but the settings users can change already.

Yes the drivers or even the bios can not fix VRM issue with one 6pin connector and bad ASIC and GPU which is not meant to work at the clock they released them!
Its simple as that, AMD can only lie, do a driver tweak to lower the performance/clock/voltage! or they can wait for better 14nm process so new 480 use less power

Even though the 6 pin connector is rated at 75W, quality ones can work up to 150 W without any problem.
2099  Economy / Speculation / Re: Halving and its effects on: June 11, 2016, 01:33:11 PM
It depends if you want to invest into bitcoin on a long term or short term. For short term I wouldn't recommend it since it will take awhile before you start making profits but for the long term, I suggest you go for it. I wouldn't wait too long either to buy in if I was you.

i think its safe to say both short and long term investments could be profitable right now

The halving is an unpredictable event.
Although many expect the price to rise, people could be in for a surprise after July 11.  Smiley

The price could rise to $600 during the halving time. Then if there is other good news, the price could spike.

I think the price could be higher than $700 in August. The block size could be increase soon after halving.

Yes. I think the next catalyst for the price rise will be the block size increase. It can make transactions more smooth.

After the increase, some big shops such as Ebay , Amazon can accept the bitcoin and users can have good experience.
2100  Economy / Speculation / Re: Halving and its effects on: May 28, 2016, 12:16:34 PM
If the block size does not increase, the miners will have less income, they will quit mining, it will reduce the price.
if halving occurs most likely it will make bitcoin prices to be higher, although I often hear and see the news in several forums, and I concluded that it might happen

I think the price of bitcoin will go to $500 before the halving. Then it will rise fast due to halving.

That has already happened. The bitcoin is is over $500 in many exchanges. That is a good prediction.
