It seems the same person deposited a pile of Qora to Poloniex on another account, dumped a lot of it, and withdrew around 14M. I have frozen this account as well. There is 0.80 BTC in this account. I believe I have closer to 24M Qora from the other account, but the block explorer keeps changing its mind about transactions, so I can't be certain.
Curiously, the account holder had plenty of opportunity to withdraw the 0.8 BTC, but never did. The only reason I have to believe that the accounts are connected is that this account also withdrew to the Sharexcoin address.
Has no one heard anything from Sharexcoin? Did they just vanish without a word?

Any ideas on what NEM will be trading at once alpha launches?
Still on the NXT AE. Alpha coins will not be real. Beta coins will neither. Only launch coins will be real and will be most likely first traded on dgex, poloniex or bittrex. I thought the coins would be real on alpha? No, and honestly, why would you want them to be real in alpha stage? The client will have major bugs in this phase, that is why it is called alpha release! I'm slightly confused... Utopian said they're fake: Testnest use test coins. Monopoly money which will be destroyed when we move to the mainnet.

Whut..? Exactly why im confused now. Ive sold my NEM stake until i know for sure. All i know is NXT has testnet running alongside the real thing so i would have assumed both are seperate. Well, if you call Bitcoin Beta still a Beta, then yeah, NEM will also use real coin in the later beta versions. (Bitcoin is still in beta!) But the first open beta launch will most definately on testnet. Wouldn't make any other sence. The network needs to be stresstested. |

Its not an attack. Lets assume you are a retard and use the same passphrase for NXT and NXTFORKCOIN. You have 1 million NXT and 10 million NXTFORKCOINS in you wallet. Now someone comes to you and says "I want to buy 100000 NXTFORKCOINS from you and I pay you 1 Bitcoins for it." You think "NICE he offers me more than they are worth, snap buy!". He sends you the BTC and you send him the 100000 NXTFORKCOINS. Now because the NXTFORKCOIN uses the exact same protocol and addressformat the rawtransaction will look exactly the same. The buyer can now take the transaction and submit it to the NXT network. If the account has the 100000 NXT in it, the transaction will work and the real NXT will be sent to the attackers account. You just lost 100000 NXT for 1 Bitcoin! |
