2101  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: WTS HERO MEMBER ACCOUNT on: March 10, 2015, 12:48:08 PM
i saw a user is selling hero member account for 0.1btc.since this is a free market.everyone can sell it at whatever they like
are you sure about this? I don't think anyone would be willing to sell a hero account that low. The lowest I have seen heros go for is ~.35

I think he's talking about one with strong negative trust. So basically worthless.
2102  Economy / Auctions / Re: Script • Sell Ads automatically for BTC on any site • Demo available • Low start on: March 10, 2015, 12:46:30 PM

2103  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: wtb BTC via PP on: March 10, 2015, 12:38:32 PM

hello

want to buy BTC via PP with rate 1BTC = 260$
interested in amounts 30$ and lower

choose the middle man or let me do it for you
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=108716.0
mm ensures that agreed amounts will reach to both parties
i pay mm fees

pm me

Unfortunately the middle man can't prevent the buyer to charge back way after the deal is closed. You won't be able to trade even at market price.

pls reply only these who have experience with pp and really interested in trade ty
chargeback is used as defination in despute terms which involves merchant
i send personal payment and can charge back it only through snake penis (that explains the best how hard it could be)
the only known way for that is only: unauthorized payment (u have to proof that your pp acc is hacked)
and other possibilty is fraudelent funds and thats all
for more info ask for pro traders how they trade for thousands of dollars daily

regards

I do have experience with Paypal and unfortunately it doesn't work as you say. It should but it doesn't.

PayPal doesn't protect the seller at all when trading crypto-currencies so the buyer can easily charge bak. I'm sure OP already knows this. Buy some sellers may not.

Anyone interested in this deal must read this first:

2104  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 50,000 BTC of auction have been sent! on: March 10, 2015, 12:27:29 PM
I wish those were my address! Will be interesting to see what happens now. Will they be sold off or is whale gonna hodl?

It wouldn't make sense to dump all those coins.
The price would go down and the winner of the auction would result in a lose.

2105  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 50,000 BTC of acution have been sent! on: March 10, 2015, 12:26:26 PM
Nice finding. Still unconfirmed transaction, so fresh hehe.

As far as I know the name of the winner is not published? Or is it?

If the buyer was smart, they would not publish their name. Can't see any benefit in doing so, unless its a major company.

Definitely not, not voluntarily.

I meant does he have too? Is it a public auction?
As far as I know it's confidential.

Hello,

I heard and read that it's possible to make bitcoins from writing and replying to posts on this forum.
Is it true?

So far I wrote few posts, but I can not see my earnings...

You need to join a signature campaign first. Check this:

Most campaigns don't accept newbies but may find one. Or have patience and wait to increase your rank.
2107  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Best Practice for accepting Bitcoin as Payment. on: March 10, 2015, 12:19:18 PM
i was thinking about that, but i found some negative reviews about that service, not sure if it will lead to some problems. So i was thinking about to set my own wallet/payment system.

In that case you will need to install the bitcoin daemon. You can then code in PHP and connect to the wallet via Json-RPC.

You should forward most of the funds to an offline wallet for security. Just keep on the server what you'll need for refunds.

Hi,

are any tutorials out there which could show me how to integrate bitcoins to a homepage as a payment method in the way of best practice (in the view of a secure, easy and fast process)

I want the people to provide their bitcoin address (in purpose of refunds), with that information an unique bitcoin-payment-address should be generated and shown to the user. No registration should be needed.

-Now which wallet should I use?
-How can i forward all payments automated to a secure cold storage?
-How can i monitor the payment status. (I would like to inform the user right on 0 confirmations, that the payment is pending (just like Blockchain.info does)

If i just generate Thousands of addressee with an armor offline wallet, store them in my database an then give them out to the user on request, would that be secure?

thanks

For this scenario I recommend you to use the blockchain.info API.

You can have a single address to forward every payment and that can be a cold storage. So no need to have funds on the server.

2112  Other / Archival / Re: Clone ANY Website For Only 0.25 BTC | (50% Down & 50% Once Delivered) on: March 10, 2015, 02:13:44 AM
You won't be willing to use escrow then? How can anyone trust you even if it's just for half payment of 0.12BTC?

I am not here to earn your trust. I do not need a "middle man" for my work.

If anyone wants a website copied, just make the first payment and contact me with a PM to get your order started.

A middle man is not used to earn trust. It's to prevent people from being scammed.

If you want to trade here you need to use escrow. Otherwise nobody will deal with you.
2113  Economy / Economics / Re: Ecuador: There's no *new* digital currency on: March 10, 2015, 12:57:28 AM
Seems like a great way for them track every single thing you buy.

Well it's not mandatory to use the digital currency so not every single thing. Actually very few people are using it at the moment.

And I guess nobody willing to hide the transaction would use it.

It definitely will take time to catch on.
For a person with a bank account, it would be easier to do a wire transaction with fiat, wouldn't it?
More privacy in it as well.

More privacy: absolutely!

However it's easier to transfer money with this new system than doing a wire transfer when using the mobile phone.
You just need to enter the destination phone number and the amount.

To do a wire transfer (at least here) you need to previously register the destination so it normally takes several minutes.

But yes it will be more useful for people that don't have a bank account, a smartphone or a mobile Internet connection.

@KaChingCoinDev , 222 followers. But I can't see who followed you.

My bid : 0.01

Yes, that is the correct account. If I follow you, can you see who followed me?

This is loading fine for me:

Can you say why you're selling it?

2115  Other / Meta / Re: What did theymos do with 200K? on: March 10, 2015, 12:33:30 AM
We should keep it to ourselves lol. If we are spending 1.5 million I doubt we would want to give it for free or cheap to other people. Also it would make a bunch of clones and we want our forum to be OURS, and no copies anywhere else. I doubt we would be the best forum software in the world though...

If it really is that good it can be sold, not given for free.
Also it could be called "Bitcoin Forums" or something like that and give bitcoin more exposure.

There are several options here, I don't think keeping it for ourselves would be the best one.

Check your Internet, as it is up for me. Also, you can always go to http://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com and see if it is down for you or everyone.

Not available in Ecuador. It works if I force the US version:

All I'm getting is:

Edit:

I see it's working for US:

This looks great!
2118  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why PayPal and Bitcoin should partner up. on: March 10, 2015, 12:23:45 AM
Paypal and BTC cannot be partners. Paypal may accept BTC at some point, but you can't make a partnership with a decentralized network of computers.

Obviously "partner" is a poor choose of word by OP. But it's clear he meant PayPal accepting bitcoin or working with it in any way.
2119  Other / Meta / Re: What did theymos do with 200K? on: March 10, 2015, 12:21:01 AM
1.5 million is absolute madness. I bet huge corporations don't even pay that much for their website. Also the slickage twitter had only 75 followers as someone else said. I hope I can trust you guys on this one but a forum for 1.5 million when there are free alternatives is quite large...

But the problem is that the free alternatives are bad. Bitcointalk has nearly a half a million users, it needs something much more robust. The development hours that Theymos spends creating new features for the forum at the moment is an uphill battle, as he not only has to create the features, but also contend with issues in the current SMF based forum software. I agree $1.5m is a lot of money, but this could potentially become a staple in forum software everywhere. Being able to say that Bitcoin created the world's best forum software would be really cool. The only reason the forum was really holding any money at all, was to create a new forum. If Theymos had only spent $50, the rest of it would just be sitting there. Why not make the best forum software possible, since the entire budget is already allocated just for that purpose. And that doesn't mean spending money frivilously, that means creating the best forum with all of the functionality that will really help everyone out.

Saying Bitcoin created the world's best forum software would indeed be really cool!

Will that software be used only on bitcointalk.org? Or will it be available for other forums either as open-source or paid licences?
2120  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why PayPal and Bitcoin should partner up. on: March 09, 2015, 11:27:54 PM
i have no idea  Grin What do you think peepz?
Should they or not and why?BTC

I think under some conditions chargeback is a desired feature.
For example in eBay normally that's a good thing when purchasing physical items.
If the seller never sends the merchandise then the payment can be charged back.

So in my opinion it would totally make sense for PayPal to allow funding with BTC and using that funds on eBay.

no paypal shouldnt be judge only the court systems

I'm not saying PayPal should be judge, just an intermediary as it is now for US$ transactions on eBay.
Of course law/judges are in a whole superior level, but you can't get a lawyer and start a trial for every package that doesn't arrive  Roll Eyes
