I just ran it then activated nvidia inspector ...crash! So I updated it a week ago but I also had trouble getting the drivers to install ... as soon as I added that card..... everything started crashing. Gpu-z how do I check the asic quality with that? I also had all memory clocks show 4505 on my 2x 980ti and the one 970..then I added the second one and the memory clocks showed 4505 on the 980ti and 5109 on both 970's. Like they linked up.  Looks good....before crash. that hashrate is impressive are you using sp mod or what? i can barely scratch 13.5 mega with 1500 core sp private #5 all algo and that is stock clocks... it can do 1 mh/s more on quark. And I think it was in p2 state. EDIT: I thought that the 970 fans where suppose to be off when idle mine are not. |

Swapping cards... but gpu0 is not the 16x slot. I think you're going in the wrong direction. You installed a new card and your system destabilized. You know the system was stable before but you don't know if the card is defective. That is your first objective. You need to isolate the problem. Swap the suspect card with whatever card just to see if the problem follows it. Try removing the suspect card to get back to a stable system. Try removing all but the suspect card. Look for a pattern. If the card proves ok then you can look at system problems, starting with power. Do you have enough power? Do you have too many risers on the same rail? There appears to be nothing in the software that has changed that could have caused it. @tbearhere - I was thinking the same thing. If you don't have enough power feeding the cards the system will act wonky! What size power supply and how many video cards in total on the board? Only (2) 970's? I got multiple problems now... will try that -i setting. thx psu 1200 continuous up to 1300 but drawing 1050 watts. It cuts off sometimes too.. it should not...but the fan is too slow.. can't find anything to override the psu fan speed. The humidity is 18%  it is part of 3 problems. It was hard getting the drivers installed on that card too but worked. EDIT: Humidity 16% I don't believe it....  Can't go near the rig. |

I can't even access nvidia control panel. tbearhere ... the sli connection is a physical connector for the cards ... if the cards are separate ( ie - you dont have a phisical connecter ont he top of both cards connecting them to one another ) - then you dont have sli connected ... unless there is a bios settign as well that you changed - then sli will be disabled there as well - though i dont now of any bios settigns that exist for sli anyway ... but i thought id mention that just in case ... i also noticed that you are running ccminer with NO -i settings ... have you considered that the default intensity is way too high for the cards? ... sp doesnt publish the default intensities ( actually none of the devs do - and ive requested this many times before in this thread - but no one has ) - so there may be an intensity issue here ... try using -i 16 as a lower intensity - which wont mine much - but may just show you that the miner itself is stable ... if it still crashes while intensity is as low as 16 - then im out of ideas ... unless i had the machine infront of me for a full rebuild ... #crysx I got multiple problems now... will try that -i setting. thx psu 1200 continuous up to 1300 but drawing 1050 watts. The sli connection yes connection.. I don't have them connected. |

No no good drivers constantly crashing trying out a bunch of them... maybe one will work. And I thought the 970 g1 fans were supposed to stop when idle. They consistently run. |

Anybody help please....I was forced to buy 2 970 gtx gigabyte g1 graphics cards...only wanted one. Newegg took my BTC and never gave it back forcing me to buy 2. Never doing business with them again. So I'm having problems with it.
I noticed on my 1st card installed it read out 3505,1455..so I set the clocks to 3505,1455.
When I installed the second card and looked at the clocks available .. it read out that both cards showed 3505,1519. ? ? ? Should I set them to 3505,1455 to get to the p0 state? Or should I just leave them in the p2 state? Thx
Set the P0 state only for mining ETH. For other algos there is no need to. I usually set the P0 state first and then overclock with the standard procedure. Thx but what upper clock readout do you are anyone here get on that card. I do set them to p0 state for everything ... but I may try p2 state. The one card I just got is giving me problems like I said above even at p2. Anyone have the same clocks?........maybe related to having 2 of the g1 cards I don't know. Runs for awhile then crashes the drivers at any state they are set at... just curious about the clocks. Crashed 50 times today. I don't understand what are You talking about... So one of Yours 970 G1 works like expected and the other one not? What do You mean both cards showed 3505/1519? Are those the default clocks? Stock 1519 is too high for all 970... Are You runnning win10? Windows 8.1 When I had one 970 g1 the clocks were showing 3505,1455.... with 2 cards... both card clocks showed ...default 3505,1519. Wondering if anyone got the same? Now I don't know if I should set them back to.. 3505,1455. They have been running stable now for an hour. I don't see a problem if the first card runs stable at the higher reported clock rate. @tbearhere - may I ask - how do you pay Newegg with BTC? Yes you can  When checking out some items you can pay with BTC  Ooooo - I will have to look further into this! You do know that they have a warehouse in Edison, NJ that you can pick up the products from using will call right? Can save on some shipping!  Yes but I can't afford the cost wear and tear on my car and the cost would be ~$100 to go there. I noticed that my psu is in silent mode and kicking off too..I can't find a fan control that will work. I have multiple problems .. might have to return the card. Yes, the result is, but at the moment the gap is very small, but still progress is being made
That's why I will release a sp-mod ultimate with all kernals optimized. Decred donators wil get a 0.1 BTC discount. Profitabillity is changing from algo to algo. I have optimized all the 17 algos from x1 to x17, When I merge my kernals into the latest 1.7.6 branch other unkown algos will be faster as well. M2m, c11, sib etc.. Why is sib so slow on the GPU? On the CPU it's .73 x11, on GPU it's only .23. Current opensource GOST implementations are pretty slow. I made a faster one for AMD and I will look into the cuda one soon. I did one, too - WAY better. The current GOST one is dead slow. For nvidia Wolf0? Or just AMD.... |

Yup, been happening for about two weeks now. Either a big pump is happening soon or they're looking for a more manageable burn rate. The difference is very small. Currently buying the paid miner a dubious idea.
Waiting for further improvements of the code of the miner from SP, to achieve a significant gap.
But my buyers last month have got a nice profit. The only difference is that Alexei used a couple of months to match my speed of the privateminer, and opensourced his work (11-april-2016). What Can I do? I added a few MHASH'es to the donators..(12-april-2016) Not sure why anyone is still bitching over inching a bit more out of Decred. What I, and I'm sure a lot of other people here want, is a Eth/Dcr merge miner. I'd pay again for this as long as it works remotely well. Claymore already has a working one for AMD, but that doesn't extend to AMD. Nvidia has quite a bit of processing power that currently isn't being used... It should be. For the love of god, make a merged miner. Why aren't more people talking about this? Has anyone tried home-brewed mining 2 algos simultaneously by running 2 instances of the miner? I don't know that building that capability into a single instance will be significantly better unless it can allocate resources more efficiently to serve each algo better. They don't share very well... I tried it and it's pretty messy. You get about maybe a 5% increase in performance by running Eth and Dcr at the same time, which is why a dual miner is really where it's at. Now im mining at the cost of electricity.  Every algo down.... a super farm for the greedy sub human. Yeah, it is up and down with mining, sometimes you mine at loss to support the cryptos you hold a large position in. Can hurt your head at times. Not like this ... no a super farm is mining or a lot of miners.... never seen it drop so fast in 7 days. I think it will get worst too.... much worst....mining for 2.5 years now. Time to release those very private miners sp.If you've been around that long you'd know about three months ago half your revenue went to power cost.
