2101  Economy / Exchanges / Re: SEC wants to regulate DEXs on: April 19, 2023, 10:57:46 AM
I've read a news article from Reuters that the SEC (a US government agency) claims exisiting rules for exchanges also apply to decentralized exchanges (DEX). More details on that here: https://www.reuters.com/markets/us/us-sec-weigh-taking-more-feedback-plan-expand-exchange-definition-2023-04-14/
Those exchanges are not decentralized completely. I said they are not decentralized completely because:

  • they are centralized to have just one main coin with many tokens built on the blockchain of the main coin
  • they are websites, said to be using web 3 or so

Because they have website, regulators will later go for them and they wouldbbe regulated, this may take time to happen, but it will eventually happen in a way you will need KYC to connect to decentralized exchanges.

Do you think the SEC has gone too far on its crypto/Blockchain crackdown? If not, why? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Crypto is too not regulated, it would be good for other countries to follow united States SEC. People are getting scammed, there are still companies like the FTX that needs not to be operating again.
2102  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you agree with ChatGPT on the club that might win the premier Leagthe? on: April 19, 2023, 08:44:18 AM
Stupid answer.

Unbelievable that ChatGPT did not mention Erling Haaland when mentioning some Manchester City players as world class players.

I am surprised not to see Arsenal among. Who is Manchester United and Liverpool this season when talking about Arsenal to win the league? The clubs are not just to be compared with Arsenal. Only Manchester City is mainly competing with Arsenal.

Who to win 2022/2023 EPL: Arsenal or Manchester City.
2103  Economy / Exchanges / Re: A new #TEX exchange. User experience same as #CEX #transparency as #DEX on: April 19, 2023, 08:02:58 AM
1.For the dex/TEX,anyone can add all coins which don't need the exchange to agree.
2.Compared with DEX such as uniswap and dydx, the liquidity of CEX is more sufficient.
3.TEX is the transparency exchange, which combine the security and transparency advantages of decentralized exchanges(DEXs) with the user experience advantages of centralized exchanges(CEXs), aiming to provide users with a better trading environment.

As for the difference with CEX you mentioned, it is more transparent and secure than CEX.maybe you can check this article:https://medium.com/@Tsp_Exchange/what-is-tex-how-is-it-different-from-cex-and-dex-dfef89ac952c
I do not need further explanation,  just give examples of TEX

Binance, OKX and Kucoin for CEX
Uniswap and Pancakeswap for DEX
List some exchanges for TEX is the question you have not answered. What exchanges are examples of TEX exchanges?

My advice is that if you can learn how to trade bitcoin, it is good.

Start with trading is bad. It is more risky than start with investment.
This thread is not about investment, it is about trading. Let me assume that OP knows about crypto trading already, but asking about forex, commodity and stocks trading.  But I just do not want to still leave the fact that among crypto trading, choosing bitcoin is good. Yes, trading is risky and not for everyone.
2105  Economy / Economics / Re: Bans on crypto now looks like a joke on: April 19, 2023, 07:40:07 AM
You seriously need to look at hashrate charts before making weird claims like this. As a matter of fact the hashrate only dropped a little after the ban, then the price started crashing which led to more drop in hashrate, it was never significant though and definitely never down to zero! lol
I was talking about hashrates from Chinese miners. Is that what you are talking about too or bitcoin mining hashrates worldwide? It is not possible that bitcoin mining hashrates can drop to zero, that could be the end of bitcoin. Or you mean that bitcoin hashrates produced by Chinese miners do not fall to zero?

2106  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do you favor betting on spesific sport? on: April 19, 2023, 06:51:03 AM
I am just curious to know why people favor one Sport over another, when it comes to betting? Is there specific Sport that increase your win chance or do you bet on those Sport for other reasons?
You bet on what you know. As many people are watching football and also prefer it, there are more people that prefer football betting. As for me, I personally prefer football betting because I am more exposed to football and it is what we mostly talked and argue about.

It is what you know that you will bet on. People that know much about other sport also bet on it. If you know about tennis, you will find yourself betting on it too. So is basketball too and others.
2107  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: April 19, 2023, 03:08:21 AM
Napoli created many opportunities in a second leg but they just were lack of accuracy for their shots. Missing a penalty is bad but if they can score goals from other opportunities, the aggregated result would be very different.
AC Milan also missed penalty.

What that matters is quality, not quantity. Napoli had 13 shots while AC Milan had just 5. Among the 13 shots by Napoli, just 4 were on target. Among the 5 shots had by AC Milan, 4 were on target. Which only means that it is Napoli home but AC Milan still played very well. Although the two clubs are both from Seria A, unlike if they are both from two different countries entirely which could make away matches more difficult.

Real Madrid beat Chelsea 2-0 at Stamford Bridge Stadium in the UEFA Champions League Round of 8 Second League match. The match of the second league seems to have copied the match of the first league exactly.
Chelsea is just a bonus for punters, we all know where this is going to end and it was the main bet of today. Chelsea tried to reach this far, but we all know that the club is becoming poor in playing. All I am hoping is not to see the worst of Chelsea.
2108  Other / Off-topic / Re: Other than Crypto, What Commodities To Trade Online? on: April 19, 2023, 02:50:04 AM
This is a bitcoin forum and our discussion on this trading board is about bitcoin and crypto trading. My advice is that if you can learn how to trade bitcoin, it is good.

Point of corrections
Know that bitcoin may be a commodity to many people, but cryptocurrencies are not commodities, they are securities because most of them works almost just like securities because they are somehow centralized and mined during presales.

Stocks are securities, not commodities.

Encryption is not related to trading at all.

Foreign exchange is not also a commodity trading because fiat are not commodities.

Example of commodities
Know that commodities are something physical like gold, crude oil, metals, diamond and many other things like that. I have seen people trading gold and crude oil but I am trading bitcoin and good few altcoins with high marketcap.
2109  Other / Meta / Re: Request for Additional Sub-forums to be Added to the Site on: April 19, 2023, 01:28:28 AM
This is in response to what Bitcoin_Arena said.

About investment, this is indirectly the significance of speculation board which he also mentioned, but trading discussion should be for trading and specifically for trading. We would like experienced traders to join us there to discuss more about trading.

What I have always thought about is for trading discussion to also be on altcoins board too just like speculation, but I consider it not necessary and not that relevant as we discussed most in trading discussion board.

I visited the site, LeeBet.io and I wanted to register, but before I can register, I like to read the terms of service. After I click on register, I click on terms of service, it brought up an error, that the page is not existing.

I hope we are going to be able to read the terms of service very soon because I can not register on a site that does not have terms of service.

It's funny to think you are posting here and still need to register on the website or make one. Are you sure you are the owner of it or something? Someone could purchase that domain and you would be out of business already.
It was a mistake from me, leebet domain was created in December 2022, I mistaken it to leebit.

2112  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: after listening to manupulation, i think in this way on: April 18, 2023, 08:31:01 AM
The more the market capitalization of a coin, the lesser the market manipulation of the coin.

Let us take bitcoin as an example, owned by many people in the world and also having a market capitalization of over $500 billion now. To manipulate a coin like that, I mean to manipulate a coin like bitcoin, it would be difficult.

A coin that is just listed on exchanges, or that is control mostly by whales, like 40 to 70% or more controlled by whales. Such coins can be manipulated. That is why it is good to go for good coins like bitcoin that is difficult to manipulate.

but after all they also predict by trend lines and indicators? why trend lines matters?
Indicators and other things used for technical analysis are good because traders use them and they have better accuracy. This does not mean that you should 100% believe on indicators because they can also fail, although many professional traders are using them and showing satisfying results.
2113  Economy / Economics / Re: Bans on crypto now looks like a joke on: April 18, 2023, 07:24:03 AM
Which country between these two would you rather see welcoming crypto and fully embracing Bitcoin? China? The United States?
Chinese government is looking for all possible ways to ban bitcoin but United States are looking for more ways to regulate exchanges and cryptocurrencies.

I read an article that says that upon the ban of Cryptocurrencies in China over 30 million Chinese are using Crypto in the country.
China has even banned bitcoin more than eight or nine times.

Immediately after the last ban, bitcoin mining hashrates generated by Chinese went to zero. Chinese miners are the second with the highest bitcoin mining hashrates now, while United States miners are on the top list.

After the ban, we later knew that considering bitcoin as a property in China is a legal.

Banning crypto is no more effective on crypto itself, it's now more like a pure joke, I would still like to see the U.S embrace crypto more than China, just my own answer to my question, what about you?
Government like control, but the technology which is blockchain that bitcoin came with is too decentralized for the government to handle and put under themselves. The government will be the government, but even many government officials like bitcoin.
2114  Economy / Exchanges / Re: A new #TEX exchange. User experience same as #CEX #transparency as #DEX on: April 18, 2023, 06:41:13 AM
Following the FTX collapse and SEC scrutiny on centralized exchanges(CEXs) like Binance and Coinbase, an increasing number of users have begun exploring decentralized exchanges (DEXs). Data from DefiLlama reveals that DEX trading volume surged to $133.1 billion in March, marking the third consecutive month of growth.
How are they decentralized exchanges? Can you trade bitcoin and other main coins like that on Ethereum Dex, Binance Dex and other smart contract decentralized exchanges? If truly they are decentralized, people should be able to trade all coins. Or if not all coins, it should not be in a way that you can only trade single main coins with just its tokens.

Despite these developments, a majority of users still opt for CEXs. The primary reason for this preference lies in the user experience issues associated with DEXs. These platforms present high barriers to entry and complex operations, such as private key management and wallet interaction, which differ from the user habits of CEXs. For newcomers, CEXs serve as a primary gateway, offering a familiar process to complete registration and KYC procedures. On the other hand, trading on DEXs like Uniswap v3 requires multiple steps and technical knowledge, including wallet usage, mnemonic phrase backups, etc. In contrast, CEXs follow a traditional Web2 model, ensuring consistent user habits and minimal educational costs.
Some other reasons is because you can buy and trade fiat on centralized exchanges unlike the decentralized exchanges.

Is there a solution that provide DEXs with user experience same as CEXs? Enter Transparency Exchange(TEX) .

TEX is an trading platform that to address the user experience issues associated with DEXs.

Registration and Login: Users easily register and log in with their phone or email.

Trading Experience: TEX offers professional market charts, a user-friendly trading interface, an app for trading anytime, anywhere.

Trade Depth: Users can experience limitless liquidity similar to CEXs.

Account Recovery (ERC-4337): To facilitate secure account recovery for users, TEX innovatively employs smart contract accounts (ERC-4337), account abstraction, and social recovery methods.
Who tells you that the decentralized exchanges are not liquid enough? The only one that I have checked before is this one that makes use of bnb as its main coin which is the Pancakeswap. There are others too. On Pancakeswap, BTC leverage is up to 200x. You know what that means for liquidity or how it is directly proportional to liquidity?

You have not explained the meaning of TEX, read what is in your post and notice that you have not even explained what it is. You are only talking about the importance. Without the meaning, you can not jump to the importance.

You register and login on TEX? So what makes it differ from CEX?

Mention some TEX exchanges?
2115  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: LondonLink - Would you invest in it? on: April 18, 2023, 05:57:12 AM
The site looks legit and I like the warning in their registration page:

Quote
Don’t invest unless you’re prepared to lose all the money you invest. This is a high risk investment and you are unlikely to be protected if something goes wrong. Take 2 mins to learn more.

Would you participate in this crowd funding in order to perhaps 2X, 5X or even 20X your investment, or would you stay away?
I did not see anything like crowd funding while I visited the site, only what I read is about trading and investment. Or you think that if people use the broker to trade, they are using it to raise money?

As for me, this is not my area, I will still stay with exchanges like Binance, OKX, Kucoin, Huobi global and others that I am still using that I considered good to excellent while not leaving any fund I am not using to trade on the exchanges.

But if I guess, as it is a broker, people do not have to deposit cryptocurrencies, they only need to deposit fiat, but able to open a contract position in crypto price just like what is offered by some brokers in forex trading?
2116  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Block 785,389: This block was mined by a zero emission bitcoin mining computer on: April 17, 2023, 09:51:27 AM
Bitcoin Mining Industry already use green and clean energy.
But there are still miners that are using unclean energy. Kazakhstan electricity is carbon emitted onces as it generates electricity through fossil fuels.

Year by year, it has become cleaner and greener.
I believe this though.
2117  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Block 785,389: This block was mined by a zero emission bitcoin mining computer on: April 17, 2023, 09:38:41 AM
I like to be knowing more about how bitcoin miners are using clean energy to mine bitcoin, but just because it is included in a block that a block is mined with clean energy does not revealed how much hash rates are produced with clean energy.

And probably we can lay all arguments against bitcoin mining being harmful to the environment.
This is not what I also support because if there is no bitcoin, people are using electricity, big industries are using electricity and emitting carbon and global warming causing gases to the environment. But what is important is how they are producing electricity.
2118  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Twitter will enable crypto and stock trading via eToro partnership on: April 17, 2023, 08:34:07 AM
Nobody is forcing you to do anything! I have had a Twitter account for a decade and I haven't made one post! One single post!, although probably I've read a million tweets, not one post, not a retweet, not one like!
Although I think this is about a matter of preference or what someone would dislike or not and this would only be a matter of unending discussion. But I remain to what my opinion is about it, that I do not like Twitter that billions of people are visiting to link a crypto exchange platform to its site.

I am even wondering that a platform (Twitter) that allows 13 years of age people to register on the platform (Twitter) to make such move. Like I said earlier, this is just my opinion.
2119  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price guess, 2023 on: April 17, 2023, 07:35:38 AM
The charts are not friendly with Bitcoin today and we might see a drop in price that could end up with a big correction. Bitcoin is known for never stay in a zone too long after a huge jump in price and for a while , we are settling in 30k area without having a clear direction of where Bitcoin could head to. It tried once to go over 30k and it did and since then , it looks like 31k is a bit too much for Bitcoin to surpass.
Bitcoin can stay at some price range for long time. Have you forgotten the $7000 to $8000 price in 2019. That said, what about the $28000 of the recent time. Now it is like bitcoin do not want to go below $30000. Bitcoin price is volatile,  I agree, but it can also become less volatile sometimes.

Also , a very important situation when Bitcoin jumps in price is ...where is the fomo ? usually in a situation like this , fomo was all over the forum and social medias.
When I started price guess thread was when I have known how people like to fomo and also go the opposite as the market is in bearish condition. When the market was very low, people did not even believe that this year will start with bull market, but when the bull market started, they started to fomo.
2120  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [Binance] Address expiration? on: April 17, 2023, 07:21:14 AM
From research it seems to be a security move. They could be changing deposit addresses which they suspect have been compromised to more secure ones.
Yes, it can be for security move, but I do not know. Although not because Binance wallet has been compromised. If the exchange wallet or one of the exchange wallets is compromised, this would lead to loss by the exchange and what people will notice next would be from Binance saying the exchange has been hacked or people to suspect that.

Don't you think they will ask for a fee to recover the amount sent accidentally to the old address?
If you send coins to the old address, go to the history, you can manually make the crediting occur. I believe Binance would give enough time before that would no more function. But I do not know what would happen if the click to credit is no more there again on the history.
